Emma Quinlan

As Director for Client Services for the Emerald Elite I ensure relationships with clients are nurtured from the start of the planning process through to arriving at the destination and throughout their trip.
I have a deep knowledge into the history of each country which I have developed since school with a particular interest the Middle Ages, Tudors and Early Christian Ireland. I also enjoy adventure travel whether hiking or horse riding and of course a love of food to keep people well fed throughout.
I believe in a vacation being relaxing yet as jam packed as the client wishes, ensuring that unncessary drive time is cut to a minimum. Living and growing up between the UK and Ireland gives me the advantage of knowing the best routes and 'off the beaten track' sites.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"I specialise in the UK and Ireland as well as having a good knowledge of France having gone to school there in my teens.
I have recommendations for the best hiking in all countries catering to all levels as well as hidden beaches, attractions and cliffs which you will not find in any guide book. I have a love for the islands that surround Ireland and the Hebrides in Scotland (in fact naming our daughter after one) and I can help people navigate to these isolated places and mingle with locals."

How did you get involved in travel?

"Coming from a background in music and highend concierge work it was a natural progression to work within leisure travel. Leisure travel allows me share amazing experiences with clients that they will never forget without having to be on the road. I love to be able to share my native knowledge with incoming travellers, enabling them experience our culture and history from the best accommodations."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"With my previous career I am lucky to have several experiences that would envy most - from visiting Chernobyl in the Ukraine, to spending time in South Africa and China.
I spend two months in Nicaragua which is a favourite, getting to climb volcanoes and enjoy time with a welcoming people was a plus. The Galapagos is another favourite."
