I seek experiences that deliver personal connections and follow an ethos of attention to detail. I carefully select my travel partners and staff to follow this ethos and deliver a team effort. Unravelling a destination and showcasing the best of the counties natural resources for tourists is something I do very well. As a business owner I get very little time to properly unwind so when I plan travel for guests I'm conscious of creating a fulfilling experience where guests get the opportunity to switch off and connect with the destination. The pace of tour can be as fast as you like but I discourage guests from making travel a test of endurance!
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales are our main destinations. Our head office is in Dublin but we've a presence in Edinburgh and London also.
We start with a discovery call to learn about a clients travel style and preferences. We then present a plan which will take in the best bits along with tailor made suggestions for each trip.
Each tour can take in activities, food and drink experiences, genealogy and learning about the destination. You will experience a mix of historical cities and rural landscapes - Never being far from a coastline. Some of our favourite places to share with clients include the Isle of Skye, Loch Lomond, Connemara and The Cotswold's. "
How did you get involved in travel?
"I worked in the tech sector through the dotcom boom and enjoyed this experience. After 9 years of working in Boston I decided to return to Ireland in October 2003. I worked in the tech sector till August 2004 and then decided to setup my own business doing something I love - Travel. I went into the industry with passion and the ability to apply tech skills to bringing a destination to life. "
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"Well, it was a beautiful day and I had planned a 'Falconry Experience' for clients in the midlands of Ireland. Our guide met us and took us to lush rolling hillsides with stunning emerald panoramic views. The birds were beautiful and the guide was personable and knowledgeable. Our guide Michael had also brought a picnic with tea and cake made by his wife. It was like stepping back in time and enjoying a pastime of a bygone era."
