As a Key Account Manager at Emerald Custom Tours I love getting to speak to new clients, understanding what it is that they would like to get out of their trip (culture, history, experiences, food, etc) and putting together a trip tailored to their needs. My clients become my friends so I am as invested in their trip as they are because ultimately I just want the very best for my clients during their trip!
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"I really enjoy putting together trips for Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales however I find myself drawn to Scotland for trips that involve food and distilleries. Whether it is for a Highland Cow Farm visit, an off road experience to feed reindeer or trips to a cooperage to see whiskey barrels being crafted I have plenty of ideas to suit everyone. I really enjoy finding new experiences and sharing those with our clients so that they can do things that they may not have come across on their own."
How did you get involved in travel?
"I have always had a passion for travel and been lucky to have traveled to Asia and the U.S.A from a young age. In a previous role I had to travel for my work and was fortunate to visit most continents and stay in some of the most amazing hotels, see some fantastic cities / landscapes and visit some really interesting attractions / experiences."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"Horse back riding in the desert near Scottsdale, Arizona at sunset with a group of friends. While on the trail we saw a rattle snake, our guide's horse reared up when it was face to face with the rattle snake but thankfully mine did not! I had not been horse back riding since I was a child so it was really fun to do it again in a gorgeous setting (plus I didn't fall off the horse!)!"
