Upper Mustang in June

A couple visited Nepal in June 2017

“We would like to hike the Upper Mustang Trail in June. We only have 2 weeks, but we really want to make it work. We would like to do a teahouse trek. Is this possible in 14/15 days including getting permit and traveling time to the start of the trek from Kathmandu?”

Summary of the trip planning conversation

Below are some useful excerpts from the trip planning conversation
its a bit tight, but not impossible to do it in those dates...

See, if you are travelling in on the 10th into Kathmandu, then its a bit tight... also depends on what time of day you are coming in.. as we would want to give you a detailed trip briefing.. before sending you into Pokhara..

Anyways, lets see how it would work

10th Jun - Arrival. Pick up from airport and to hotel. Welcome Dinner
11th Jun - Morning for trip briefings. Afternoon fly to Pokhara
12th Jun - Morning fly to Jomsom. Trek to Kagbeni.
13th Jun - Trek to Chhuksang
14th Jun - Trek to Chaile
15th Jun - Trek to Syangmochen
16th Jun - Trek to Ghana
17th Jun - Trek to Tsarang
18th Jun - Trek to Lo Manthang
19th Jun - Lo Manthang
20th Jun - Trek to Ghami
21st Jun - Trek to Samar
22nd jun - Trek to Chuksang
23rd Jun - Trek to Jomsom
24th Jun - Fly to Pokhara and on to Kathmandu.

Now we can make this a few days faster, though I would not recommend it... of course... You do want to also enjoy the mountains.

We could also jeep you close to Chaile to start... that saves a few days, but its going a bit too fast into altitude.
