Where do we begin?? Our 35th anniversary trip to Greece was everything we could have ever imagined it would be. Chris and the KimKim team worked with us on every detail, and every interest that we had. Chris and the KimKim team put together the perfect itinerary, addressing every one of our requests. With precision detail, we were picked up, dropped off, shuttled, Pampered, educated to the point of perfection. Our luxury accommodations were more than we could have ever wanted! The staff at every boutique hotel, every driver, every private tour guide, to the catamaran tour in Santorini were beyond fabulous! Unfortunately, due to the ferry strike in Greece we had one small snafu. However, Chris and his team were on the situation, we were given different solutions to choose from, and within minutes, our trip was back on track. We would highly recommend Chris and KimKim for your Greece travels or, KimKim for any travels internationally.

We did not make it on time to enjoy this experience. I am sure it would have been amazing. We enjoyed the surroundings when we finally arrived. There were too many sites to enjoy that morning!

Pedro, ? Online Tour manager helped us with planning the trip. He was very receptive to our needs from the start. Accommodated all our requests, offered us good suggestions.
We spent ( 4 in our group) 10 days in Portugal, visited Lisbon, Algarve region, Evora, Fatima, Toma , Porto Douro Valley and drove through Nazareh ( Spelling) and Obido .
Many memorable sights, felt that 10 days only gives a sampling of what a beautiful country Portugal is.
Our drivers from place to place have all been wonderful, José António and Michael deserves special mention. We will ask for them if visit again.
Pedro kept us abreast of our day to day activities, we could connect with him instantly via WhatsApp.
All in all , totally satisfied with KimKim travels.

Fantastic break in Italy ( Rome & Milan). From the start the car pick up went seamlessly and cars were all high quality Mercedes with very safe drivers. In Rome, we toured the Vatican (Museum, Sistine Chapel & St Peters Basilica) which was excellent but museum tour was very long ( 2.5 hrs plus) and far far too busy with some areas at a complete standstill. Our guide had encyclopedic knowledge, but even she was very surprised on the sheer amount of time the tour took 4.5 hrs).

The walking food tour in Rome was only average really with no real standout dishes, as we had tried a lot of the Italian dishes already. Tour guide was ok very enthusiastic but it would have been good to know where we were going next and how long the walk was, as it felt we were "walking blind" with no end in sight sometimes. Now this may have been as a direct result of all the walking we were doing in Rome anyhow and we had 20,000 steps in the tank already. Also we were asked to be early for the meet up, which we were but the guide showed up a little late and I was slightly concerned frankly.

Hotel was functional, clean and we only used it to sleep which was fine as the room was air conditoned ( Doria Palace Boutique Hotel). The list was so small it could only take a single case or just about fit one person, so folks with walking challenges be aware.

Train trip to Milan was fine and pick up seamless. Hotel was larger ( Una Hotel Cosani) and in a great location. The Last Supper tour was excellent and included a taxi ride ( less walking) to the Duomo. We asked the guide at the start the scope of the tour and we reduced the duration from 4 hours to 2.5 which was perfect. In contrast to the Vatican tour, the Last Supper groups were restricted to 15 people at a time and this really enhanced the experience. Our guide was excellent, very accommodating and knowledgable and even showed us a nice local coffee shop which was off the "tourist grid".

Moreno from KimKim was great to deal with, very efficient and knowledgable. Quick replies to questions and was there if we needed him.

Elena made it easy for my parents to navigate around Italy and enjoy a once in a lifetime trip

The trip was great and the local guides were experienced and knowledgeable. However, when we had a problem, we called Stephanie for support 4 or so times over a two hour period, and she ignored our calls and sent WhatsApp messages saying it was not her problem. This is pretty unacceptable for someone whose entire job is to facilitate. If this is not her role, then it is not clear what service KimKim is providing apart from being a useless middle man that is taking money that would otherwise be going to locals.

Further, when we made it clear we were unhappy with Stephanie's handling of the situation she said she would ask KimKim customer service to reach out to us, they never did. It is unclear if Stephanie did not actually ask them or if KimKim does not care about their customers.

Overall, if this is how KimKim operates, I will not be recommending this service in the future. I will give direct contacts of my fantastic guides in Madagascar to anyone who would like to book a trip.

I recently had the incredible opportunity to embark on a 10-day adventure in Portugal, exploring some of its most enchanting cities and towns, including Lisbon, Porto, Lagos, Sintra, Evora, Obidos, and Batalha. The Saigon Food Tour was a highlight in the South, the Amania resort a highlight along the coast, the Hoian custom fitting shops and the river tours in the Central and Halong Bay in the North were all super! As were the guides… would not recommend the country without guides and Kim Kim’s were great!

Robi was awesome - he’s a total professional. The tours we had were great especially in Split. Goran was excellent in Ston.

Review of Our Trip to Greece -

Working with Angela was an absolute pleasure! She was great from the very beginning. We had a bit of back and forth confirming the number of people that were coming, which islands we wanted to go to and what we were going to do. She was very patient the entire time providing suggestions and solutions each step of the way, and readily available for contact from our initial conversation up until we were back from our vacation.

First stop -Athens! - everything was great! The hotel Milo’s def felt like we were in a 5 star hotel with the service and the the room/ hotel itself.
The location of the hotel was great, very central! We were able to walk to everywhere that we wanted to go. There was an abundance of restaurants and stores all within a short walking distance.

On our second day we took part in an Athens Highlights Mythology Tour that was scheduled as part of our trip. We were part of a small group of about 15 total.
Our tour guide made the entire time very enjoyable. She spoke very passionately when relaying the myths and was very engaging. Thoroughly enjoyed!

Next up- Mykonos!

The front desk at Milos very kindly offered to have to-go breakfast boxes ready for us when we told them the night before that we would be leaving early the next morning.

Ferry tickets were taken care of from we confirmed the trip - something to take note of as they sell out quickly and need to be bought in advance. Angela also checked us in the day day before so we just had to present our boarding passes when boarding. We were picked up with sufficient time to get there and not feel rushed to board - overall it’s a process and experience! But that seems to just be the nature of taking ferries between the islands.

We arrived in Mykonos and were quickly in our transfer to home number 2, The George Hotel.
We were greeted by friendly staff and pleasantly surprised to find out that we were able to check in about to 2-3 hours early.
The property is a boutique hotel with a sun deck area and swimming pools with beautiful views that give you that “I’m in Mykonos” feel.
Plaits Gialos, one of the best beaches on the island is less than 5 mins away, there are also various restaurants to try along the strip of the beach.
For Mykonos we had opted to have the two days free.
On the first day the hotel arranged a taxi for us to go Mykonos Town and the second we went to the hotel’s sister property- right across the road in the morning to enjoy the beach, followed by lunch at the pool, in the afternoon a taxi was arranged for us to go to Tropicana Beach club.
I was a bit nervous about finding taxis in Mykonos based on blogs, but thanks to the hotel arranging, we had no issues getting around.

Next up - Santorini!
Our transfer to the hotel from the port was about 30 mins.

Mardanza Exclusive located in, Imerovigli is a self catering accommodation.

Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who took us to our rooms and explained communication and some key points about the property to us. You contact the staff through WhatsApp, there is no front desk.
Each room/ villa has its own private pool with a beautiful view of the Aegean Sea - not caldera side.

We ordered lunch to have at the villa, very yummy and big portions.

Dinner was at Le Moustache, which provided a lovely sunset, less than a 10 min drive away. The staff arranged for our taxi to take us there.

There is a restaurant Tasos at the top of the hill/ main road that is open for dinner that is a 7 min walk from the property. The walk is not bad in the daylight hours, but would not recommend walking at night bc of the steepness and darkness to get back .

After visiting Oia, I had more of an appreciation for staying at Mardanza and away from the hustle and bustle. This comes with its pros and cons based one where you want to go. The taxi was $45 euros each way to Oia so didn’t make it as appealing to go back out there once at the hotel.

Our last day was the Sunset catamaran cruise, which did not disappoint.
The stops were nice and sufficiently timed for quick breaks, meals were catered to preference, staff was friendly. Wonderful way to take in the beautiful views of the Caldera rim ending in Ammoudi Bay.

Overall we had an amazing trip and it was a pleasure working with Angela! Would def recommend for anyone looking to book their trip to Greece

Our travel agent, Ina, did an amazing job recommending places she felt my partner and I would enjoy. She was exceptional in modifying the plan based off of our comments and genuinely made everything incredibly easy. We ended up going to Athens, Naxos, and Santorini, with Naxos being our favorite! At first, we had reservations about Naxos as most people tend to go to Mykonos, but Naxos was perfect for what we had asked for: calm, traditional, and the most beautiful water I’ve ever seen in my life. We could not be more pleased and we’ll have memories to last for a lifetime!

Caldera Cruise & Volcano Visit

Our guide was great! We stopped at 3 different locations and we had plenty of time at each spot. The guide did a great job explaining the history of the volcano as well. The men who worked on the boat, especially the main guy were a hoot and he even helped me with my wound after I tripped on the top of the volcano, ha! I expected the food to be mediocre, but it was absolutely amazing and I even went up for seconds! We apparently went on a very windy day which we didn’t realize because the crew did such a great job, it was only rough for about 20ish minutes and even then it wasn’t bad. The crew did a great job safety wise and even provided us with blankets as it got a bit chilly after the sunset.

Our guides, Akis and George, were absolutely amazing! They were incredibly friendly and fun, while remaining professional and gave us all a great experience! I expected the food to be mediocre, but it was actually AMAZING and one of my favorite meals during our entire 9-day Greece trip. The location of the sites were great and they briefly explained the history of the locations, one of which was a place where if you put clay from the rocks on your face…your skin doesn’t age ;) you know I slapped that on, ha! Plus we had plenty of time at each spot and did not feel rushed at all. I will say the water was a bit chilly…but definitely worth while!

My husband & I enjoyed a wonderful 5wk journey through Namibia & South Africa thanks to the expert help of Esther! We had a general outline of what we wanted to do, but working with a local company was invaluable. Esther helped us refine & enhance this outine into a wonderful & varied itinerary. In Namibia, we did a 2wk road trip that included the Namib Desert & Damaraland. In South Africa, we spent time in Johannesburg and Cape Town, of course... but also took a fantastic road trip between the two cities! Our hotels (mid/high-range) were excellent, including several that we would not have found on our own. We always had beautiful rooms, and she often had special treats waiting for us upon arrival (welcome notes, bottle of wine) . She also suggested many wonderful excursions that helped us get on & off the beaten path while experiencing both beautiful countries. And Sandra, her lovely concierge, helped us book restaurants and other events... what wonderful people! Our group chat was full of information, humor & timely responses! They both helped make our trip seamless and unforgettable. We recommend Esther very highly!

Day Excursion to Douro Valley: Wine Tasting & River Cruise

This was a day we will never forget! Our amazing guide Gustavo did not disappoint. He was extremely personable and knowledgeable. Our riverboat cruise on the Douro River was followed by a once-in-a-lifetime wine tasting and dining experience. Gustavo arranged for us to taste wine and have a meal with a local Portuguese family who owns and operates their own vineyard. We were invited into their home for a meal. The property owner himself did the wine tasting and coupled this was a genuine home-cooked 3-course meal to accompany each wine. We ate food that was not only authentic to Portugal but way more delicious than any restaurant food we had during our trip. This was by far my most favorite day of our trip.

Justine and the KimKim Team did a fabulous job with our two week France trip! The hotels, the restaurant recommendations, the tours, it was exactly what we were looking for. It was my husband's first trip to France, and my first in 30 years so we wanted to hit all the typical tourist spots. The guided tour of Medieval France (Saint Chapelle, Ile de Cite, Notre Dame) was really amazing and fun with tour guide Athina!

All the hotels Justine picked were in great locations, small boutique hotels that were exactly what we were looking for! I highly recommend Hotel Mansart in Paris, Maison No in Lyon, Splendid Hotel in Annecy, and definitely Hotel West End in Nice where we were overlooking the Mediterranean. So lovely!

Our stop in Chamonix/Mt. Blanc was a highlight - it was great to get out of the cities and breath the fresh mountain air!

We truly loved it all and can't wait to go back! We'll definitely use KimKim again for our travels!

Nice hotel with pleasantly furnished rooms. Staff were very helpful. Great breakfasts! Location was fantastic, about half a block from the lake and centrally located near lots of restaurants and nightlife!

A great way to taste some of the great food in Lyon. We visited a shop with amazing cured meats, a cheese shop, a dessert shop, and then gelato! Fun to walk through the older neighborhoods of Lyon and learn about the town's history!

Our 11-day trip to Athens-Mykonos-Paros-Santorini would not have been as wonderful if not for our KimKim specialist, Christos, and the TravelTeam assigned to us and available at any time of day for any type of situation. Everything from tipping recommendations to "we can't find our driver?" to timely notices on schedule changes. Christos planned a perfect combination of tours, shopping and beach time for our group of 4 long-time friends for our first time in Greece. Weather and ferry delays caused cancellations of two tours which were promptly reimbursed by KimKim upon our return. Communication was the BEST. They were always available and very friendly and helpful with our questions and needs. In Paros, we wish we had been closer to (or in) Naoussa, as our hotel was a little remote and it was costly to get to the village to shop and dine. Word to Greek travelers... Pack less, you'll thank me. Besides, then you can bring more back! Our memories of this trip, like our friendship, will last a lifetime. Michelle, Lea, Linda, & Kelly

I had a wonderful time at Kastro Suites in Santorini. The staff was great, the place was beautiful. The only downside was the many stairs we had to climb with our heavy luggage. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, a stark contrast to our previous accommodation.

Historically, my wife and I have always researched, planned and managed international trips, thinking this option gave us more flexibility and control over our vacation schedule and activities. Thus, we were skeptical contacting KimKim, but we are 100% glad we did. Absolutely everything about the trip was perfect: the accommodations, the excursions, the travel arrangements and the service. Everything! Afroditi was attentive and responsive to all our crazy questions in advance of traveling to Greece and was available to us, when needed, while we were there. She crafts very memorable trips based on customer input and feedback and her knowledge of an area. Marina did a wonderful job in planning our trip. Things changed when our flight was canceled and she needed to rebook several of our tours. Had a little hiccup with understanding what we wanted but that was due on our end because we were traveling and couldn’t explain expectations to her well.
