What you'll do
As you make your way up the mountain, you'll travel through secondary forests, farmland, and primary forest. Listen as your guide shares their knowledge about the local flora and fauna, pointing out different species and highlighting their unique characteristics.
Next, you'll reach a lagoon where you can take a break and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Take a few moments to soak in the natural beauty of the area and snap some photos.
Then, continue ascending the mountain until you reach the high point of your tour. From this viewpoint, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of Arenal volcano and the surrounding scenery. Be sure to bring your camera to capture this postcard-perfect moment.
After taking in the stunning views, you'll begin your descent back down the mountain, traveling through primary forest, farmland, and secondary forest before arriving back at the stables.

Sky Adventures Zip Lines

After traversing seven cables and reaching heights of 660 feet (201 meters), you'll arrive back at the starting point of the adrenaline-pumping adventure.
Sky Tram, Sky Trek & Sky Walk
Begin the day with a scenic ride up a mountain in an open-air gondola. When you reach the top observation platform, you'll take in panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes, including Arenal Volcano. Next, you'll enjoy an adrenaline-pumping zipline ride from tree to tree and canyon to canyon as you glide along a series of seven cables. Finish the adventure with a guided walk of the forest canopy, where your knowledgeable guide will lead you along natural trails and hanging bridges, pointing out various flora and fauna.
Sky Adventures Hanging Bridges
Explore the forest from an elevated perspective on this excursion to Sky Walk, one of the first hanging bridges in Costa Rica. Follow a naturalist guide along a series of nature trails and five suspension bridges (some as high as 230 feet or 70 meters), stopping to appreciate various flora and fauna along the way. You'll see monkeys and snakes if you're lucky! During the 2-mile (3-km) hike, you'll enjoy views over the forest canopy and spot colorful birds, butterflies, and insects.
Arenal Volcano & 1968 Reserve Guided Hike
Embark on a guided adventure through Arenal Volcano 1968 Park, where you'll find the Arenal Volcano. As you navigate the path around the volcano's base, your expert guide will point out exotic birds, monkeys, and other creatures. You'll continue your hike through segments of the park that the lava flow affected during the volcanic eruption in 1968 that left the landscape devoid of vegetation. This unique terrain offers beautiful vistas of the crystal-clear Lake Arenal and the dormant Cerro Chato Volcano.
Stand-Up Paddle Boarding on Lake Arenal
After a boat takes you to the center of Lake Arenal, you'll enjoy a 2.5-hour SUP session, complete with stunning views of Arenal Volcano, mountain vistas, and an island teeming with waterbirds.
Arenal Hanging Bridges Guided Walk
Explore the thrilling Arenal Hanging Bridges on this popular excursion. The trail system, located inside a rainforest reserve, features suspension bridges that take you high above the treetops before treating you to a once-in-a-lifetime view of Arenal Volcano. Venturing along these spectacular elevated walkways, up to 180 feet (55 meters) above the rainforest floor, you'll have a chance to appreciate this area's incredible biodiversity, including some of the 350 avian species that live here.

Sloth Observation - Day or Night Walk
See sloths in their natural habitat on this family-friendly excursion! During this two-hour tour in a private nature reserve just outside La Fortuna, you'll not only have the opportunity to view these slow-moving creatures hanging out in the trees, but you'll also learn all about the sloth's lifestyle, the history of the species, and the importance of sloth protection. Your expert guide will point out two- and three-toed sloths and bring your attention to other noteworthy flora and fauna as you walk along a 1-mile (1.5-km) trail.
