We just returned from a 12-day family trip to Vietnam planned through Realistic Asia/Kimkim, and it exceeded every expectation. From beginning to end, everything was seamless, thoughtfully organized, and executed flawlessly. The itinerary struck the perfect balance of culture, history, adventure, relaxation, luxury, and authentic local experiences. Every destination felt completely different from the energy of Hanoi, to the breathtaking landscapes of Ninh Binh, the serenity of Lan Ha Bay, the beaches of Da Nang, and the charm of Hoi An. We genuinely loved every single activity and never once felt like there was anything we would have changed.

One of the highlights was the people. We had two different drivers and three different tour guides throughout the trip. Each had a unique personality and guiding style, yet every one of them was warm, professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing Vietnam with us. They didn’t simply take us from place to place, they brought the country’s history, culture, traditions, and daily life to life in a way that made the trip incredibly meaningful.

The logistics were equally impressive. Every transfer, hotel check-in, activity, and timing was perfectly coordinated, allowing us to simply enjoy ourselves without ever worrying about the details. Traveling with children can sometimes add complexity, but everything was handled with such care that the trip felt effortless.

The person who truly made this experience exceptional, however, was Hien. From the very beginning of the planning process, throughout our travels, and even after we returned home, Hien was nothing short of extraordinary. She was unbelievably responsive, proactive, thoughtful, and always one step ahead of any question or need we had. It genuinely felt like having a trusted friend in Vietnam available whenever we needed assistance. That level of service is incredibly rare and is one of the biggest reasons this trip was so enjoyable.

We’ve traveled extensively around the world, and this was one of the best organized trips we’ve ever taken. We would recommend Realistic Asia, Kimkim, and especially Hien without hesitation to anyone considering Vietnam or Southeast Asia. We will absolutely be using Hien and KimKim again for future travels, and we couldn’t be more grateful for such a memorable experience. Five stars simply doesn’t feel like enough!

I did not know exactly what I had hired until I got on the trip and I was supported through every part of the process. I appreciated the private guides in Bangkok and Chiang Mai (Giftsy and Timmy). They were incredible throughout my time in both cities and allowed for flexibility in our tours. It was so personalized to what we wanted to do and how much time we wanted to spend. Day was the true MVP of this process and helped us navigate changes in our schedule and clarify anything that was needed. He would respond within minutes to any of my requests. It was incredible. I would have probably liked more private tours when I was in Phuket versus the small group tour I took to Phi Phi Island. I did not request this so it was not the fault of anyone at Kim Kim. The work of the Kim Kim staff made it so I could just enjoy my vacation and not worry about what was next. It was seamless and effortless and overall wonderful!

The breakfast in the morning was not great and one morning despite it starting at 7, no one was available to do eggs or coffee for about 25 minutes and it took them 45 minutes to make pancakes. The Tuk Tuk ride was nice but the description of this event does not match what we did. It sounded like we would be getting small tastes all over the city and we went to one noodle restaurant and had one street vendor food and that's it. I asked about going to a roof top bar but was told that wasn't apart of it. I did get to go to a hidden bar which was cool but it was not included.

We were picked up very early and then did not get on the speedboat until over 2 hours after we arrived and it was not clear that we would be sitting around. I would have liked to just stay at my resort and enjoy the amenities there. They then go into a sales pitch of all these things you can do but have to spend extra money on which was frustrating but they scare you into thinking that you have to but water shoes and hats and they only accept cash so that was also frustrating. It was a pretty rushed experience and crowded with all the other participants. I would have liked to do this privately.

I think I was spoiled by the private activities and this was a larger group. It made it so we ended up in a not great spot in the boat. No one was good about sharing the space. I would have liked to be more private or been allowed shift around to see things on the boat. We got soaked sitting in the back. Food was a bit cold on the floating restaurant but tasty!

We really enjoyed our entire trip, including little things like inner courtyard rooms in Vienna vs outside room (much quieter), curated tours (touring a cheese making farm with our family only-which meant interacting with the owner/farmer himself vs a tour guide), and access to Sara for a few specialized items (she expertly directed us to a laundry service in Vienna). This was cancelled due to weather, but when we arrived to the lagoon it was sunny and low wind, other vendors were on the water. We were a little disspointed. Atleast we were offered a full refund without hassle

Overall our trip was wonderful in every way, we had just enough guided tours and just enough time to explore on our own. The TRIP PLAN app was a great way to keep track of everything scheduled, tickets and notifications of who and when we were to meet our guides.

Connecting your travelers with bus/metro/transit would be most helpful, we used these services A LOT in our travels and struggled with the initial source of finding websites/apps and ticket tips, please assist to Trip Plan.

Tickets to Sagrada Familia we on a Saturday and the site closes early. we barely had 30 minutes at the site, so we missed the crypt, museum, workshop and much of the side chapels in the building. Really disappointing as this was my #1 place I wanted to spend time in Barcelona
Montserrat visit was too short, our guide was great.....starting earlier to allow for time to walk/hike would be great

Zaragoza ghost town visit was all in spanish our guide did his best to translate. There was an option for an app to use personal headphones on our phones in english, but we didn't know to bring them

I wanted to share my feedback regarding my recent solo tour of Croatia. Overall, I had a fantastic experience.

My tour guide, Laurent, was incredibly well-informed and always available via WhatsApp whenever I had questions or needed assistance. The trip was exceptionally well-organized, and the excursions at each location featured knowledgeable local guides. Additionally, the 3- and 4-star hotels were very nice and situated in excellent locations in every city.

My only complaint is that none of my hotel rooms had a good view. I almost always request an ocean, sea, or water view when on vacation, and I was surprised this was not noted for the tour. However, this is a minor issue that I will be sure to emphasize for my next trip, as I adored Croatia and will definitely book with Kimkim again.

This was our first experience booking a trip with Kimkim and the entire experience exceeded all expectations!! The planning process was smooth, easy, and with as much flexibility as we needed. I wanted to have a mix of things planned/organized for us, and I wanted to plan some things on our own. Anita was extremely flexible and accommodating. She made excellent recommendations for restaurants that were all INCREDIBLE! Not touristy, local, elegant decor and Michelin quality establishments. Anita planned our hotel and several tours in Rome, and everything worked like clockwork! All of the transportation/transfers that she planned for us were all professional drivers, prompt, spoke English, and were very helpful. We will book all future trips with Kimkim! Our highest compliments.

I cannot express enough on how grateful we are to Giulia on planning our first trip to Italy. We gave her our budget for the trip and she turned it into a dream vacation for me an my family. There was no way I could have planned it better, especially being our first time there. EVERYTHING was taken care of. From rides to and from the airports, 5 different personal tours, train tickets, boat rides to islands, fantastic but not over priced hotels in perfect locations. When ever we had a question, we were connected to her thru WhatsApp, and she or her partner answered right away. She made it so I can just relax and enjoy my trip. If you don't want the hassle of planning a large trip and having a logistical nightmare of doing it yourself, I HIGHLY recommend using KimKim. Not only will you have a spectacular vacation, but just knowing you have a friend you can immediately contact if you have issues, takes all the worries away so you can just relax and enjoy your trip. My sister and I visited Finland for 2 weeks. We visited Helsinki, Turko, Tampere, Vaasa and Rovaniemi. All of our guides were excellent and really knew the cities inside and out. I can’t pick a favorite spot or guide because they were all amazing! Moonika arranged our trip with the tour guides, accommodations and transport. I would not change a single thing! I highly recommend Kim Kim for anyone wanting an authentic experience with the bonus of all travel being arranged. We definitely maximized our time in beautiful Finland!

My wife and I and our adult son spend one week in beautiful Wales and could not have been happier with what our Kimkim planner Aleksandra arranged for us as well as John, our guide for Wales. He picked us up in Liverpool and we toured with him for five days. We started across the north coast and then into northwest Wales/Anglesey. We then ventured south through the national parks and ended up in Cardiff.

Through our journey, John made some wonderful suggestions for changes in our planned itinerary, and every place that he chose turned out to be delightful. In addition to experiencing the stunning natural beauty of Wales, we loved interacting with locals, which he facilitated because he seems to know everyone. We love learning about history and culture as we travel. John is obviously very proud of his Welsh heritage, and he taught us so much about the history and culture as we traveled together.

All in all, another wonderful trip by Kimkim- this is our fourth!!

From the start, our small group of friends wanted to shape our own trip, keep it small, and flexible. We found kimkim and felt as if we'd found a source for guidance in Taylor who helped us plan a delightful trip! The kimkim experience started with asking good questions to help us narrow our focus to some specific cities and fjords we wanted to visit in Norway. We enjoyed scrolling through all the optional activities, clicking to learn more, and then keeping or discarding various activities. Our group wanted to do mostly unscheduled or independent exploration, but include some group tours or activities, too. Taylor found great options for us. By the end of the planning process, which was exciting to do, we all felt like we had a great plan for our trip.
Pre-trip, we met via Zoom with Taylor and had a chance to ask questions, clarify any issues, and find out about what to expect when we landed in Oslo. In the weeks just before the trip, we only needed to focus on packing and tending to our own personal details, knowing the kimkim had the rest under control! That was huge! Here are a few highlights about what we planned and experienced on the trip:

Transfers from the airport to our hotel, hotel to the train, and things like that made us all feel cared for and confident in the plans. Knowing someone had checked the timing of everything and indicated on the detailed itinerary where and when to gather allowed us to enjoy our free time.

Oslo Private City Walk: Lene met with us on our first morning, sitting down with a map, listening to what we had done already and hearing of what we wanted to do. She proposed options, and we chose her idea of learning how to buy tickets online, and then led us to the Vigland sculptures. As a native of Oslo, her knowledge and understanding of the area was helpful. Our experience of the sculptures was enhanced by information she shared. We all agreed that she was a great choice as our guide.

RIB Safari: Our group enjoyed the anticipation of the RIB Excursion, as well as the real event! They provided all the gear, a great guide, and the weather made it a perfect outing. The cheese tasting and fjord tour was really fun! All agreed that it was a highlight.

Bergen Food & Culture Walk: This walking tour was beyond expectation. Our guide was a delightful fellow who told stories well, and navigated the city as we stopped here and there for exceptional tastes of food and beverages. It was more than a lunch! Starting with a fishcake, several other small stops, then soup at a sit down restaurant, and finally a beer. Wow! We loved it!

Geirangerfjord Cruise: Cato, our cruise ship host was personable, and very experienced. He made this an interesting time, on a foggy day. Our time in the town was enjoyable. In the afternoon, he stayed up top and, as the fog burned off, he shared more about the fjords. Great guy!

Lodging: All of our lodging was well located near transportation and great views. Most of us agreed that the Flam Marina was the best. Fortunately, the enormous cruise ship present when we arrived, departed around suppertime. No more ships arrived while we were there, making those days and evenings a dream of peaceful waters and quiet atmosphere since we were on the quiet end of the marina. Weather was great!

External factors making this a great trip were the weather--not a drop of rain the whole time we were in Norway--and the World Cup soccer tournament which we could watch anywhere we went. I can't imagine a better trip!

Our group reflected on how she added to tool kit by showing us how to get tickets and use the transit system. It was great to have her as our guide.

Our guide, Penny, in Delphi was the most amazing and charming woman. From the beginning to the end, the guide was less a lecture and more of a discussion. She was amazingly knowledgeable not only on the history, but the relationship between the people, cultures, religions, and happenings of ancient Greece to the modern climate.

Our travel guide Chris was phenomenally receptive, quick to respond, and brilliantly knowledgeable about our travel plans. He was always so quick to help us out at any point of the day. We were very lucky to have him planning out our trip for us.

We wanted to go on vacation and booked our flights only 3 weeks in advance. Diana did an amazing job of putting together a trip for us. We gave her just a few guidelines and she took all of the stress out of planning an international vacation!
We stayed in beautiful hotels in 3 different cities. In Lisbon, Pedro provided an excellent food & wine walking tour. His personality was great and we learned a lot of interesting things about both the food and the city. In Lagos, we had a fun time on a boat tour exploring the caves. Then in Cascais, Rodrigo took us on an e-bike tour of the city and coastline.
Pepe and our other driver were fantastic as well.
All in all we had an amazing experience in a beautiful country. I would absolutely use Kimkim again.

We had a great time in Mongolia. Our guide Khishgee was super nice and very professional, also our driver (Zorgo ?) was a very nice man and driver. The highlight of the trip were the four days horse riding. After we complained after 1.5 days about the route being too close to the street, they changed the route for riding more in remote areas. The horse guide shall in general know that we do not come to Mongolia to do a horse riding tour along a busy country road. All the hotels/Ger Camps we stayd were very good and we enjoyed at the end having everytime our own bathrooms attached. The hotel in Karakorum was really good and nice to have after four days without a shower and toilet. Gobi Desert was really nice too and we truly enjoyed that we had expressed the wish that we do not change Camps every night in Gobi but rather stay in one camp for three nights. It meant maybe a little more driving but it was much more relaxed not having to pack and unpack very day. Plus it enabled our teenaged children to skip either a morning or afternoon excursion. The Dream Gobi Ger Camps was a very good camp to stay in. Also the Best Western Hotel in Ulaanbataar was a very nice hotel and top location. Maybe we could have left Ulaanbataar on the second day earlier to avoid more traffic and arrive earlier in the Hustai Ger Camp. Otherwise, we were very lucky during out trip that we only had rain showers in the evening with being in a camp or tent and otherwise, we had dry, warm and sunny days and in Gobi not too hot days.

Very nice horse guides. They were very friendly and good people. We were only not so happy with the route they had in mind which was too close to a busy country road but they changed that after we complained. The food was nice, and they catered well for us when we decided not too eat too much meat all the time.

Our seven day trip to London with our ten and eleven year old grandchildren was great!! We had two hiccups and Aleksandra responded right away. Everyday our schedule was laid out for us. We used the tube while in London and had private drivers to and from Heathrow and the Harry Potter Studios. Our tour guide David in London was great! He used to do security for the palace and was assigned to Prince Harry . He had a ton of good stories! Our Beefeater tour guide at the Tower of London was really good and engaged the children a lot. We were scheduled at the Natural History Museum but got done early and also went to the Science Museum. Our grandchildren like the Science Museum better. We saw the show Come Alive!! Highly recommend but get the VIP ticket. We were always busy, very little down time. Never waited in any long lines. We stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn in Kingsington in a two bed two bath apartment. Right across the street was Cacciari's Italian Restaurant and they would deliver right to your room. Also we were just blocks away from Earl's Court Tube station and a Tesco.

This place is a bargain for London. We had two bedrooms, two baths, a small kitchen and a living room with a dining table. They serve a daily breakfast buffet but it is not very English and sort of bland. The place is clean, the staff is attentive and very accommodating. Lots of families stay there. It is a few blocks from the Earl's Court Tube station, a Tesco and Cacciari's Italian restaurant is right across the street. Eat in or they deliver to your room.

Our trip was FANTASTIC! All of our guides were absolutely fabulous and every driver was on time (usually early) to pick us up. We especially loved Dora from our Acropolis tour and Katarina from our e-bike tour in Santorini. Really, every guide was FANTASTIC! We loved the catamaran tour in Milos (the captains/guides were great - I know one is named George) and our Greek Cooking class in Paros (so much fun)! We really had so much fun doing everything we planned.

We absolutely LOVED Senia Hotel in Paros. The staff was exceptional, the views and pool amazing, the food and service were top-notch, the location perfect and overall staying there was absolutely fantastic!

We also really loved our hotel in Santorini, Agali Houses. The accommodations were spacious and very nice, we had another amazing view and the location was fantastic. Whew those steps - you really can't be out of shape to climb those! We felt bad for the porters carrying our bags.

We also really liked Niche hotel in Athens. The rooftop was great, location perfect and the breakfast was one of our favorites of all the hotels we stayed at. The only negative was the rooms were small (but very nice) - but I guess that is to to be expected in a big city.

We had the absolute BEST time and loved meeting so many amazing people from Greece and other travelers from around the world and eating the most amazing food. The only thing I would have done differently is possibly added a day to each island (we did 2 nights Athens, and 3 islands, 3 nights each) so we had more time to relax and explore or only go to two islands and stay at each one for 4-5 days. With the travel it just cut into our time at each island and we were all a little tiered those days. Thank you so much for all the planning! We really enjoyed this activity but for some reason we thought it was on a beach and it definitely was not - but we could see the sea. Since we are not experienced riders some of the fear we had was due to our inexperience - we didn't do anything too hard but we just weren't used to riding horses and we did have to ride up some narrow spaces and we did have to navigate around some cars. But the guides and horses lead the way and everything was very safe and it was a great way to see a different view of Paros.
