Tirant Hotel, Hanoi

Historic Hanoi hotel with a spa, a rooftop pool, and a restaurant with a diverse menu

Overview

Tirant Hotel, located on Gia Ngu Street—historically known as Fish Village—takes its name from the French general officer Tirant, a nod to Hanoi's colonial past. Operating since 2011, the hotel sits proudly in Hanoi's Old Quarter, a cultural landmark teeming with history. Its prime location allows you to immerse yourself in the city's vibrant atmosphere, with attractions like Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre and Hoan Kiem Lake within a five-minute walking distance. The outside of the hotel is a vibrant yellow, with many small cast-iron balconies. Inside, you'll find a well-lit, white lobby with plenty of seats and small tables, plants, and artwork.

Each room at the hotel is lavishly styled, blending modern amenities with classic European decor. You'll find wood floors in the bedrooms with colorful art behind the beds. The rooms also feature dark furniture upholstered with bold-colored fabrics. You can enjoy views of the Old Quarter from the rooms, notably Hoan Kiem Lake. After a morning of exploration, enjoy a cool shower in a bathroom with granite walls and tile flooring. Some rooms also have a soaking tub, perfect for relaxing and mulling over your day.

During your visit to Tirant Hotel, start your day at The Tirant Restaurant on the 13th floor, enjoying a diverse menu from East to West for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you're a fitness enthusiast, check out the well-equipped gym on the ground floor. Prefer to relax? The Ciel Spa offers treatments that blend the best oriental techniques and Vietnamese herbal secrets. Want to kick it in a lounge chair or cool off with a plunge into the cool water? Then head to the outdoor pool on the 13th floor, where you can also take in a spectacular view of the city as you sip a cocktail from the bar.

The Tirant Hotel in Hanoi was quite luxurious. The rooms were very nice and the beds comfortable. There was a rooftop restaurant which offered great food and a beautiful view of the sunset. Even though I arrived late and didn't do much in Hanoi, the hotel was a positive part of my experience. Read more
