Iceland is best enjoyed at your own pace, and a self-driving tour lets you spend the time where you want. With 1 week or more you can tackle the full Iceland Ring road, or spend some time focusing on the highlights in a few regions, such as the West, South Coast, remote Westfjords, Snaefellsnes Peninsula, or Interior.

Summer brings large crowds to the south coast, and we recommend spending your time exploring more remote regions and small villages far from the crowds where you can enjoy Iceland on your own terms.

Our local specialists will help you put together the perfect plan for your interests, arranging all details and crafting a detailed driving itinerary for each day of your trip.

Want to explore the best that Iceland has to offer? Get started by describing your ideal trip and we'll connect you with a local specialist to plan out the details.

Our trip to Iceland was one of the best we have taken as a family. Our trip to Iceland was one of the best we have taken as a family. It all started with a message from Éric at Iceland Offbeat, who quickly put together a great and manageable itinerary for the Western peninsula and the southern coast, ending back in Reykjavik.

We spent eight days exploring glaciers, waterfalls, volcanic craters, and also the amazing countryside and food that this place had to offer.

Éric was so easy to chat with and made sure we were happy with our itinerary and excursions over the last few months. Definitely recommend using Kim Kim to anyone looking to relieve the stress of planning a memorable trip.

Solheimajokull Glacier Hike
Solheimajokull Glacier Hike
Iceland

This hike was memorable due to being able to walk on a glacier that may not be here in the next 20 years. The guide, Dennis, was very knowledgeable and made sure that we found the coolest spots while staying safe. Very easy hike and anyone who can walk for about an hour or so can do this.

There wasn’t a detail left untouched for our trip to Iceland. Gummie was incredibly thorough. For ease of use I had our pdf of the trip printed into a presentation book and we kept it in the car with us, plus now it’s a great detailed keepsake. The rental from Blue Car came with WiFi and we found that to be so helpful. Each hotel stay was perfect and went beyond expectations for unique settings, boutique style rooms and staff experience. We found the restaurant recommendations super helpful as well as tips like getting wine or liquor at Duty Free in the airport upon arrival. We packed appropriately for all kinds of weather and went out on our adventures regardless of weather until the unexpected snow storm in the East Fjords changed our plans. We made a quick plan B to enjoy the Vok Baths and a quiet rest day. Overall, we loved our entire Iceland experience and the KimKim service was excellent.
