Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Day 1 - Bucharest Arrival
Welcome to Bucharest! Arrive and check into your hotel in the Old City center, then head out to get acquainted with the city on your own.
Day 2: Day 2 Bucharest
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then head out for a guided tour of Bucharest. Highlights include Parliament Palace, the Royal Palace, Romanian Athenaeum, Village Museum, and the Old City center. The tour last for 6 hours and includes lunch in a restaurant int he Old City. Enjoy the evening on your own.
Day 3: Day 3 Bucharest - Sibiu
After breakfast depart for Sibiu, located a 3.5-hour drive away. Check into your hotel, then meet with your local guide for a walking tour. See the Village Museum, the Old City Center, and the Brukhental Museum—a total of 6 hours, including lunch. The evening and dinner are on your own.

Day 4: Day 4 Sibiu - Corvinilor Castle - Biertan - Alba Iulia
Meet your guide and head out to see Corvinilor Castle, Biertan Fortress, and Alba Iulia Fortress. The nine-hour trip will show you the insider's view of each of these stunning architectural marvels, with enough time for a sit-down lunch at a family-run restaurant. Overnight in Alba Iulia.
Day 5: Day 5 - Alba - Iulia - Sighisoara
After breakfast, hit the road for the 2-hour drive to Sighisoara. Meet your local guide, and head out for a full tour of the medieval city. On this 5-hour tour, explore the central square, history museum, medieval buildings, and learn about the modern-day development of the town.
Later, transfer to Bistrita, a 2.5-hour drive away. Check in to your hotel, and enjoy regional specialties at a family-run restaurant.
Day 6: Day 6 - Bistrita - Bucovina
Enjoy breakfast in your hotel, then drive to Bucovina (Gura Humorului), another 2.5-hour drive. After meeting with your local guide, visit the local monasteries for which the area is famous—Voronet, Sucevita, and Putna. The whole day tour will take six hours, including lunch at a local organic farm.
Overnight in Gura Humorului, dinner on your own time.
Day 7: Day 7 Bucovina - Zabola
After breakfast in Gura Humorului, get an early start for your drive to the Zabola Estate Covasna, a 4.5-hour drive away. Check-in, then enjoy lunch at the estate. In the afternoon go for a hike to enjoy the region's beautiful nature, and visit the local bear observation center.
Dinner on your own, overnight in Zabola.
Day 8: Day 8 Zabola - Bran Castle - Sinaia - Bucharest
After breakfast at the estate, depart for a tour of Bran Castle, home of the legendary Dracula. Afterward, head to Sinaia for a tour of the similarly-striking Peles Castle, located 1.5 hours away. Tour the Peles and Pelisor castles, then enjoy lunch in the town of Sinaia.
In the afternoon, continue to Bucharest, located 1.5 hours away. Spend the evening relaxing, enjoying dinner, or shopping for souvenirs.
