DORISA FUCIA
I was born in Tirana, capital city of Albania (a place where I felt I always fit in). I graduated in Economics (where I didn't quite fit in ) and worked in several different places (where I again didn't fit in). Until I came across travelling (where I absolutely felt like I fit in). Meeting with travelers, observing their curiosity for Albania, the history, culture and traditions, as well as being curious and adventurous since young age, it was expected for me to want to deepen my passion for tourism and cultural understanding. I began to travel and to explore my country as well as the Balkans and now I want to give others the same feeling I had exploring these countries.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"Albania, Montenegro, Macedonia, Kosovo, North Greece, South Croatia. We combine a variety of trips: cultural and history, exploring off-the-beaten paths, sports outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, kayak, skiing, paragliding, canyoning, diving, etc, direct contact with the locals, local gastronomy, folk music, craft works, etc."
How did you get involved in travel?
"Since I was young I liked to travel and explore new things. Then, a friend of mine helped me understand that I can combine my passion for traveling with my work. He proposed me to work with him in a travel agency. The first time I heard about it I was like: Coup de foudre!"
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"The first time I wild-camped, it was in a dessert beach in the South of Albania. Only me and my friends, the fire and the stars during the night, opening your eyes in the morning and discovering a paradisiac view: crystal blue beach surrounded by green high mountains."
