Our trip to Thailand was very well organized by Bella. When guides were expected to meet us at 10AM, they showed up by 10AM, same with taxis, etc. Traveling was made simple and enjoyable. I had never used a service before, but took all the anxiety away. Should I travel to Asia again, I will definitely use KimKim.

Our trip was EXCELLENT! Nadia was fantastic as were all of the drivers, guides etc. I would recommend Nadia and Kimkim to anyone.

Kimkim planned our trip to Norway for us as it was our first trip there. They chose great cities and amazing excursions. We had a wonderful time. We were very impressed with the itinerary, including the hotels and events. We ran into a hiccup with a hotel and Kimkim was very responsive in addressing the issues. Rachel helped us plan a weeklong vacation in the Scottish Highlands and Isle of Skye . She was able to take our request and organize them into a concise, easy to follow itinerary that including planes, trains, ferries, taxis , hotels and tour buses . From Glasgow to Fort Williams , Isle of Skye to Inverness to Aberdeen. All the planning was done and easily to follow on the app. The road book was thorough making our trip a complete success. The hotel was very old amd not kept up , floors were uneven , doors were all noisy or didn’t close properly. The furniture looked like it was worn and carpet was stained . There was little security with access to rooms without barriers .

Airport pickup and transport was everything I hoped. The VIP escort through customs when we arrived allowed us to cut the line after the long flight which made us all happy. Also got eSIM for phones to avoid international fees. Used Viettel kiosk at airport. Tony helped with currency exchange at the same kiosk too.

Enjoyed food tour with Tony in Hanoi. He continued with us as our guide to the mountain towns of Pu Luong and Ninh Binh. Both Long and Tony as well as driver, Mr. Huong were a great resource when my teenage daughter needed medical attention. Easy to work with healthcare in hospital. Everything worked out well. Also needed a special prescription filled and team was extremely helpful to find pharmacy.

Ha long Bay cruise was a nice new boat with good food. Not much educational tour component. Also diesel fumes from so many cruise boats around. Also have to pay for all water and drinks on the boat. Not too expensive but an extra cost to be aware of.

Family enjoyed Hoi An hotel Moon was a new resort. Good experience with John as our guide in Hoi An, making lanterns as well as custom clothing. Farming village tour and cooking class were in same location with some overlap of activity. Probably would just pick one of these activities next time. I enjoyed the produce and crafts market in Hoi An. Don’t miss street food, and famous banh mi restaurant. Night market in Hoi An was interesting and felt safe.

Getting money from ATM needed me to notify my bank I was traveling. Had me nervous for the first day until I was able to make withdrawals. While most hotels will take credit card, the small merchants will ask to ‘share the fee’ and mark up the price 3-5% if you use credit card.

The finalized itinerary gets uploaded to a convenient app that I could refer my teenagers to look at to know the next activity and schedule for the day. Also has some pictures to provide an idea of what is coming up and hotels etc.

Another favorite activity was spa for massage. Hotels charged a little more than shops but were very convenient. If we had some down time wife and daughters were getting nails or facial for very inexpensive price. Great way to help back and legs recover on first morning after the long flight.

We had an amazing trip to Peru, although there was a stressful period leading up to it. We initially worked with another travel agent to plan our trip, but at some point communication stopped and we didn’t hear from her for about a month. I also take some responsibility for not reaching out to Kimkim sooner. As our trip got closer, Kimkim connected us with Liz, who took over our itinerary.

From that point on, Liz and the Kimkim team went above and beyond. Liz had to step into a trip she hadn’t originally planned and make sure everything was rebooked and confirmed. She was incredibly responsive and made us feel that we were being taken care of. Once we arrived in Peru, everything ran seamlessly. We loved all of our hotels, our guides were knowledgeable and engaging, and every transfer and transportation arrangement was on time.

There were so many memorable experiences. We loved the farm experience where we learned about traditional cooking and enjoyed a Pachamanca lunch. Lunch high in the Andes surrounded by mountains and llamas was another unforgettable experience.

We also had a fantastic time in Cusco with our guide, Natalie. She was knowledgeable, fun, and made our time there even more special.

One of the biggest highlights of the trip was hiking the short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. A few people in our group struggled with altitude sickness, and our guides were incredibly patient, attentive, and helpful. We were also surprised with an amazing freshly prepared lunch halfway through the hike—definitely not what we expected while hiking the Inca Trail! Reaching Machu Picchu after the hike was an experience we will never forget.

What could have been a very stressful situation before our departure turned into a fantastic trip. We really appreciate how Liz and Kimkim stepped in, took ownership, and made sure we had the experience we had been looking forward to. We would absolutely recommend Liz and Kimkim.

Beautiful and peaceful hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, the food was great, and they had nightly entertainment that our group really enjoyed. The one thing I wish I had understood beforehand was the location. If you’re using the hotel as a base for day trips and traveling to Machu Picchu, there can be a lot of driving. We encountered quite a bit of traffic and ended up spending more time in the car than we expected. Knowing that now, I might have chosen to stay in Ollantaytambo instead. That has nothing to do with the hotel itself, though—the hotel was fantastic and we really enjoyed our stay.

I chose KimKim for a large moment in my life: my second time overseas, my first time in Portugal, and the only time I'll be proposing. For years I had hoped to travel to Portugal, and over time it became apparent that this was where I should propose to my (previously known as) girlfriend. I count myself BLESSED to have been matched with Tiago, almost as if destiny was pulling the strings. After a few messages back and forth, I could feel the warmth and kindness, and knew I was in good hands. Tiago listened to how we liked to travel and created a plan with me that would hit all the requirements and create a perfect space for the proposal. In Lisboa, we experienced a sunset cruise with the coolest crew you could meet, experienced a traditional Fado performance in one of the oldest Fado houses, and explored old palaces and beautiful parks with Francisco (also the coolest and kindest guy you could meet). We spent 3 hours driving to Porto with Pedro, and we did not stop talking once. Conversation flowed like honey and the hours blew by. In Porto we had a private cooking lesson with the funniest and coolest chef, Sara Verde, and got to literally get our hands on authentic food (we cut up our own squid). We chose to go in August due to the eclipse passing through, and Porto was the perfect setting for the proposal (it was amazing and she said yes). Last on my bucket list for Portugal was the Azores, and Tiago started us off the first morning with a whale watching tour where we got to see multiple species of dolphins and multiple whales. The rest of the time on the island Tiago really let us explore: each day he had a full itinerary written up that we could pick and choose from. We got to experience beautiful lagoon views from the tops of mountains and beach swimming like we had never experienced: surrounded by cliffs and in the clearest water you've seen. Throughout the trip Tiago was just a message away, and had an arsenal of other helpers that were also invested in us having a great time. We had an amazing trip and loved all the people involved. Thank you, Tiago. And Francisco and Pedro too 😉

Raquel and her several assistants put together the perfect trip to Spain to see the eclipse for 8 travelers. The hotels were nice, in the center of cities, the guides were very knowledgeable, and suggested restaurants and excursions were appreciated.
We enjoyed the next trip to Barcelona for just the two of us as well. I wish we had more days to explore the city. I appreciate the effort Raquel and her team put into finding the best hotels for our budget, and the best experiences to give us a sense of how wonderful Spain is.

Amazing trip to Barcelona. Our planner Hector did a fabulous job of preparing a wonderful trip for my family when we came to Spain to watch the total eclipse. We stayed in Barcelona at a wonderful hotel (Ohla Barcelona) and loved the city. I and one of my daughters are vegan so we were thrilled to find that Barcelona is a center of vegan cuisine with many restaurants to choose from. Hector was very informative and planned a lot of great activities with great guides which included Tapa bar tour with Boris, tour of old city with Miguel, trip to Montserrat with a winery tour and tasting and a visit to the Black Madonna, our travel to Zaragoza for the eclipse, and finally our kayaking and snorkeling trip with Stepan on the Costa del Sol. We hope to come back to Barcelona again and would definitely use Kimkim again.

It is hard to capture the most memorable aspects of our experience because there were so many. The eclipse itself amazed us: the steady loss of light, and then especially the return of the light. The three older folks (Dan, Vic and Drea) held each other's hands as the light changed. We loved observing the changing landscapes as we drove. Milo loved watching the puffins and the experience at Blue Lagoon and our side trip to a second set of thermal pools: Hvammsvik. Emmett explained the hydrodynamic features of the different waterfalls to those of us who had never navigated whitewater. Drea was especially moved by Gullfoss and we all loved learning about Sigríður's insistence on saving the falls from exploitation. Sasha was most exhiliarated by going off trail and he and Emmett enjoyed running and sliding down a steep field on their butts. A few of us got our shoes sopped by an unexpected wave as we looked up at the Basalt cliffs and appreciated the hotel hair dryer for shoe drying. Marty, our ice cave guide was a consummate guide with a wealth of information about the glacier. All through the trip we appreciated that Gummi was hovering somewhere on Kimkim to answer questions. Our family is a group with diverse interests and capacities for adventure and this trip had many things for all of us. Thank you!

Adam was a great specialist to work with, and I really appreciated that he was in touch with us the whole trip. Any questions we had were answered in a timely manner. All the places he sent us were absolutely wonderful to see and the accommodations he planned were very nice and in the perfect locations.

Wow, what a wonderful time we had in Chile and Argentina! Gabriela did a fantastic job working with me to put together the perfect trip for my husband and me. We had so much fun and never had to worry about transportation as everything was smoothly coordinated.
In Santiago, CL Mundo did a wonderful job keeping us informed and our driver to the ski resort, Orlando was exceptional We loved having him for 2 days in a row. Victor, our guide to Valpariaso was "the best." We couldn't have asked for a more fun and engaging guide.
I think Ushuaia was our favorite place we stayed. Loved the Tolkeyen Hotel. Cerro Castor was one of the prettiest ski resorts I've ever been to, and that says a lot. Latitud Ushuaia did a superb job coordinating everything and even made a few small but flexible changes for us. This allowed us to sneak in a quick 3 hour island/lighthouse cruise which I also recommend.
Our glacier excursion in El Calafate was probably my personal highlight and we scored with great weather. Our guide, Nikolas and the driver were awesome and they were fantastic about spotting wild animals and giving us picture time as well (we saw rheas, condors, and guanacos). Nikolas also gave us some fun ideas to do during our free time in El Calafate the next day.
Finally, our lakes and caves tour with Melina was lovely. She gave us special attention so we wouldn't miss anything with our lack of Spanish. Dinner in the cave was lovely and the setting was magical.

BTW, this is my second time using Kim Kim due to the great coordination and flexibility they've given us.

The best hotel was the Silica Hotel. Their food selections, the bed, the architecture and service were excellent. We had several great activities. Our two favorites were the Zodiac boat to see icebergs and the glacier hike on top of the glacier with the troll tour company. The guides for both were very knowledgeable and passionate about the nature and Iceland. We had a lot of fun driving and following the self guide map of places to stop. In all the stunning Beaty of Iceland was enough, but having a great plan and guides made the trip unforgettable!

Good place to stay for a family. It was designed cheaply. The design was pretty, but the laminate floor was peeling up. The bathroom shower needs a better door or barrier so the entire floor doesn’t get wet. You could tell that was a long term problem. There was water everywhere which is probably why the floor was so worn out and peeling. The beds and pillows were okay. The breakfast was good.

We stayed in what would be described as an attic. It was tall on one side of the room and slanted on the other side. I took the short side and had to be extremely careful not to bang my head upon awaking. The bathroom mirror and shower curtain were made for someone under 5 feet tall. It was like staying in a dollhouse. The bathroom mirror was chest height. The shower curtain didn’t touch the floor, so water was everywhere in the bathroom. One upside is room was long so my husband and I had a bed and my teen had a pull away cot all in one room.

The hotel architecture was designed beautifully! Their food selections hotel was a stunning example of modern with a nod to the simplicity of nature. The hotel staff were kind and helpful. We throughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We were so happy to have a special experience with the private part of the lagoon for hotel guests. The snacks and bar provided wonderful selections of food and drink. This was by far the best hotel we stayed in in Iceland.

Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon zodiac boat tour

We loved our guide. Our only native Icelandic tour guide on our entire trip. He was enthusiastic about the raw beauty of Iceland. We enjoyed learning and listening to him tell us about the icebergs, the glaciers and the seals. We lived cruising on the boat to check out different icebergs. We were lucky to see one seal. Most were with pups in the ocean at that time of year.

We couldn't be happier with the planning and execution of our family's Costa Rica trip by Adam and the rest of the team. We let him know the areas we wanted to visit and the activities we were interested in, and he did all the rest. All of the activities, hotels, drivers and suggestions were absolutely top notch (especially our last hotel room with a corner, panoramic ocean view - amazing!) We loved working with Adam, he was so responsive, knowledgeable and very patient with us! I was also very impressed by the communication leading up to and throughout the trip to make sure we felt prepared and comfortable - they really went beyond my expectations! (Plus the app with the itinerary and details in it was SO helpful to have each day!) We have already recommended KimKim others, and will 100% use them again for future trips!

We had a wonderful two-week trip through Greece with my two boys, combining Athens, Delphi, Olympia, the Peloponnese, Costa Navarino, Nafplio and Mycenae. Overall, the itinerary was very well designed: it gave the children a real sense of Greek history while leaving enough time for swimming, boating and simply enjoying the country.

Some of the highlights were the guided visits to Delphi, Olympia and Mycenae, as well as our day on the water with Andrea / Mani. Guides in Delphi and Olympia were amazing. From our discussion and written descriptions, it seemed that it’d be more interactive / digital but in practice none of this - that being said worked really well with paper bc my kids are used to this but for other families that could be a surprise. Costa Navarino was also a great choice with children and gave us a very welcome few days to slow down after the more active part of the trip. But some recommendations & conditioning could have been done. The balance between cultural visits and downtime worked particularly well for a family trip.

Anna was very responsive and helpful throughout the planning process and while we were in Greece. She was also flexible when we wanted to adjust a visit on our last day.

Where the experience was less strong was in the overall value added by booking through Kimkim. For a fairly high-end trip, I still found myself managing or researching quite a few details during the vacation — restaurants, activities, some logistics and what to do in our free time. A few more tailored recommendations and arrangements could also have been more proactive or more carefully tailored to traveling with two young children. At times, it felt more like a collection of well-booked components than a fully curated trip where everything had been anticipated for us. A good example are the stops on the road which felt generic to anyone vs to us. So, magnitude of markup from Kimkim I don’t think is justified and for this reason I’m not sure I’d book again with kimkim.

That said, the core itinerary was excellent, the local guides and experiences were very good, and most importantly my boys and I came home having had a fantastic and very memorable trip to Greece.

Skipper had to bring the boat full speed an hour away and bring it back in the evening. That probably increase the cost significantly. Having this discussion may have helped reduce cost and find an alternative

We had an incredible family trip to Thailand with a group of nine ! Planning travel for a large group can be challenging, but KimKim and our local specialist, Bella, made the entire process smooth and stress-free.

Bella put together a fantastic itinerary that catered perfectly to everyone in our group. Throughout the trip, our local guides were wonderfully informative, friendly, and exceptionally accommodating to all our needs.

One of the biggest highlights was visiting the elephant sanctuary—it was truly an amazing, ethical, and unforgettable experience for all of us. We also spent time on the wonderful island of Koh Samui, which was absolutely beautiful and relaxing.

Beyond the sights, we were blown away by the genuine warmth and friendliness of the Thai people everywhere we went—and, of course, taking advantage of the wonderful and very affordable Thai massages!
