American by birth and Moroccan-Berber by marriage, I first traveled to Morocco as a tourist and fell in love with the country and its people (one in particular). Since my initial visit, I have traveled extensively throughout the country and especially enjoy discovering secret places off of the beaten path. Together with Abderrahman Idrissi, my Moroccan husband who has 20 years in the tourism industry, we enlisted the help of his brothers (who serve as our in-country tour managers) to create Morocco Immersion Tours & Adventures. As a family business, we enjoy developing relationships with our guests that continue beyond their trips to Morocco and our goal is for our guests to leave with a little of our love for the country and its people.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"People always ask me what there is to do in Morocco and I always reply that an easier question would be what can't you do there! And we can help you with all of it. Of course, we share the rich history and the important landmarks that any tour to Morocco includes, but we also provide unique opportunities to mix and mingle with the locals that allow our guests to gain insight into day to day life. So if you are looking for an authentic experience (budget or luxury) that takes you off the beaten path, then we are the company for you. And if you want to throw in a little hiking, trekking, rock climbing, mountain biking, surfing, kite-surfing, mule trekking, horseback riding, or even skiing (yes, I said skiing), we can do that, too!"
How did you get involved in travel?
"My path towards a career in travel was a crooked one, but began with a vacation to Morocco in 2012 where I met the most amazing guide, Abderrahman (Abdou for short). He was so amazing, in fact, that after a few more visits we decided to get married. After he had settled into life in the United States, an opportunity presented itself for us to create Morocco Immersion Tours & Adventures. And so, after many years of discussion, we "pulled the trigger" and Morocco Immersion was born."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"Obviously, my trip to Morocco in 2012 was life changing - talk about transformative travel experiences! Besides meeting my soulmate on that trip, I was mesmerized by the desert and upon my return dreamt about it for 30 nights in a row. Abdou told me that that was the magic of the desert. In subsequent trips, I got to learn more about the culture and meet more of the locals, and that's when I discovered that despite the breathtaking beauty of the landscapes, the true beauty of Morocco is the rich culture and the warmth and generosity of its people. Wonderful tour of Morocco with knowledgeable guides and unforgettable experiences · Morocco - Nov 2 - Nov 9, 2019
My partner and I wanted somewhere warm to visit in November, with good views and lots to see and explore. Morocco certainly delivered and we couldn’t have organised the trip without kimkim and Morocco Immersion.
We’re busy working people and didn’t have enough time to independently research where to go, what to do in Morocco and investigate what’s feasible to achieve in one week. The process of booking the trip through kimkim was smooth and easy. Sharon, our tour organiser, was so helpful... read more
We left Morocco feeling like we were family! · Morocco - Nov 22 - Nov 27, 2019
Our trip was amazing from start to finish. Sharon was incredibly responsive each time I had a question and made some great suggestions that helped make our trip perfect. In fact, Sharon’s helpful and quick responses are the reason we chose Kim Kim and Morocco Immersions as our tour group. Even though it was our first trip to Morocco, it felt like we were visiting family. Hicham was an informative guide, and went out of his way at every chance to make our trip perfect. He narrated our drive... read more
Wonderful Desert Experience · Morocco - Nov 5 - Nov 7, 2019
We had a great time working with Sharon in planning our desert experience in Morocco. We were even more fortunate to have an amazing driver, Sallam, who took us through our trip. We could not have asked for a better driver/guide. Sallam was extremely warm and personable. He was flexible when we wanted to change plans. Sallam did a remarkable job of knowing when to share stories/sights while also knowing when to give us time to relax. He adjusted his driving based on our comfort level. ... read more

Trip to Morocco · Morocco - Oct 5 - Oct 10, 2019
We had an amazing trip, thanks largely to Moroccan Immersion Tours and Adventures and to the help of Sharon (who helped us plan our 6 day itinerary) and to Abdou, who was our gracious, informed, and unfailingly cheerful guide. We contacted KimKim only about 4 weeks before our trip and were quickly connected with Moroccan Immersion/Sharon. Sharon was extremely helpful -- and patient! -- in recommending options for our 6 day trip, jumping on the phone with me at least a few times for me to... read more
Trip to Morocco · Morocco - Aug 17 - Aug 21, 2019
Sharon was excellent - very prompt, responsive, knowledgeable, proactive and was extremely valuable in setting-up our trip plan, how we can make the most value of our limited time and resources without compromising the experience. Equally, Amnay, our tour guide and driver was excellent, particularly at keeping us safe and secure; providing us with excellent restaurant recommendation, enriching our gastronomic experience and accompanying us any time of day and night. The other local guides,... read more

I DO NOT give reviews for business or services as a general rule. I DO NOT like to use tour planners or groups for my trips all over the world. I DO, HOWEVER, HIGHLY RECOMMEND KIMKIM. They have provided a service tailored to individual interest with trip planning at an affordable price for our trip to Marrakesh. Morocco.
Sharon, my trip advisor, was very attentive and very helpful in not only dealing with my changing plans but adding to my interest in our trip to Morocco, in particular,... read more
Imperial Cities & the Desert - 9 Days · Morocco - May 23 - May 31, 2019
We just got back from our 8-day imperial city tour from Morocco last weekend. I have to say that it was the best planned trip I've ever had, and my husband and I have traveled A LOT! We wanted to plan a special trip for our ten year anniversary but with our work schedules, three weeks before our trip the only thing we had booked were our plane tickets! So in a panic, I started researching online for hotels and sights and felt totally overwhelmed, in the past we've planned our own trips no... read more
