Bed and breakfast run by a family. It is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel into the main part of town. The hotel staff/owners were very helpful and friendly. The rooms are large and comfortable.

Lovely hike through the vineyards near Regua. I am glad we did it in the early morning before it got too hot.

I enjoyed seeing a smaller winery and the setting was beautiful.

Our guide was enjoyable company, but I didn't learn as much about Porto as I had hoped.

Pleasant time on the water near Porto. We were given a small plate of snacks (cheese, crackers, grapes) and a porto tonic. We could have played our own music via Bluetooth, but chose not to.

The hotel in Valladolid was absolutely wonderful and one of the highlights of our trip. It had such an authentic, elegant, and classy design — the kind of place you know you will remember forever. The hotel consists of two beautiful, completely different buildings, and the staff kindly showed us both and offered us the choice of which room we preferred. This made the experience even more special. The staff were extremely friendly and spoke very good English. The food was also excellent. Everything about the stay felt warm, authentic, and special. For us, the hotel itself was almost a sightseeing experience — not just a place to stay, but a place to discover and enjoy. It was truly a pleasure to stay there.

It is a very well organized touristic site - clean, not crowded, with shadows, no vendors and sellers of souvenirs. Great!!!

Room was quite small, almost felt like on a boat, but well situated, nice breakfast.

Great location! This was very close to the Merida town square and we got to see some local cultural events due to our favorable location. The room was very comfortable. They even had a cat in the lobby which we loved.

Very nice tour. Miranda gave us a great tour visiting the local church and we then saw the pyramids there. She gave us a lot of great information about the history and culture which we appreciated. Excellent tour.

We really enjoyed the cenote. The water temperature was perfect and seeing this as a natural formation was amazing! The cenote is very deep so we both swam with life jackets (highly recommend). They offered a zip line also. This was a very enjoyable experience in nature.

Overall good tour. We did about 8 stops and ate different local Yucatan foods.

This was one of our favorite stops. We met with William who lives in the village with about 700 others and we had a delightful tour. We entered the homes of the local people there which we appreciated. Our first stop was making tortillas which was fun. Our second stop was trying to learn how to weave a hammock. It was such fun to learn that and our hosts were so kind. Our final stop was making chocolate which was also outstanding. Along the way we got to see how everyone lives, where the kids go to school etc. This is one of the hidden gems of this tour. The Mayans are beautiful and kind people and we were honored to be guests in their village.

We had a wonderful time at Rio Lagartos. Henry met us at the boat pier and we had our own boat into the reserve. We saw flamingos in their natural habitat which was truly exceptional. We saw crocodiles, eagles and many other varieties of birds. It is a truly special place right next to the ocean and yet protected with a natural barrier. We also had an opportunity to swim there using the Mayan clay which was great. Overall, excellent visit! We also had a nice lunch at the local restaurant.

Very nice tour. Carlos gave us a nice history of the city and the major events that took place there. It was nice walking through all the streets and we enjoyed the honey tasting.

This was a fantastic experience. Julian was our tour guide and he was so knowledgeable about the Mayan history and gave us the full cultural experience which is what we wanted. He made sure that we got great photos which we appreciated. The tour was very well paced and we had just the right amount of time to fully enjoy Chichen Itza.

Nice educational tour of the city.

Our guide was excellent. We got a great overview of Ek Balam and the opportunity to climb the main pyramid. It was great to hear about all the Mayan stories and walk through this amazing place.

Very challenging but worth the climb. For anyone who has a good fitness level, this is a must do. The restaurant next door was a great place to go afterwards as well.

The front desk staff and welcomers at the front door were exceptional. I loved the library and servings of Port. The restaurant was a bit slow on service but the sommelier was very good.

I was treated poorly by the manager on staff at check out which soured my experience. Lots of babies, toddlers and kids so if you are looking for a quiet place, this is not it. Beach is not handicap accessible.

I loved the location. Also, the amenities - sauna, steam room, and warm pool, were included. The outdoor breakfast seating was lovely - complete with champagne!

This was a no frills excursion to some really cool geological formations. The boat driver's were great! We had a blast. It was one of the best parts of the whole Portugal excursion for my husband who is a geologist. We are boat lovers, so the small craft and big swells didn't bother us.

This drive was a good way to see the city. Our driver, Ivo, was thorough in showing us historical sites as well as dropping us off at an out of the way cafe on the mouth of the river to enjoy some local ambiance and drinks.

Our driver, Enrique (I think was his name, sorry) made this trip very enjoyable. He was very enthusiastic about the places he showed us, especially a look into the production of the Pasteis de Belem. He also made a huge effort at avoiding rough spots in the roads as our traveling partners found the tuk tuk experience difficult.

The Sandeman tour wasn't particularly friendly. The facility was beautiful and the port good. An additional trip to a smaller more friendly producer would have been good.

Getting around the city was difficult, but it was important to have the opportunity to drive through all the different districts to get oriented to the city.

Our driver, Ricardo, did a good job of getting us around to see places from the land that we were going to see from the sea later in the day. He made good suggestions for exploring Lagos and took very good care of us.

Fun to see other parts of the city - crossing the bridge to the Villa de Gaia side and tasting port at Sandemans. Would have perhaps preferred an additional tasting at a smaller establishment.

Adding a visit to the town of Sintra, lunch on a hilltop overlooking the ocean and stops at Cabo de Roca and Cacais made the trip to the Villa even more exceptional.

The drive was long but a great way to see the countryside. I would have enjoyed a longer boat ride on the Douro.

This hotel is close to the train station and the zoo, but it's far from shops and restaurants. The room was well appointed and clean. Ours was overlooking the HVAC units for the hotel so it wasn't quiet. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, which is no big deal, but their luggage storage is in the basement of the parking deck and doesn't feel safe or secure. The breakfast was nice.

The lobby and main part of this hotel is very nice, including the restaurant but it is the newer wing of the hotel. Our room was in the older wing of the hotel, it was a hike and two elevator rides to get there, and that part of the hotel smelled old and moldy. Additionally, anytime a room door shuts in that part of the hotel, it slams, even if you try to close it gently. So you can hear everyone coming and going all night. The room itself was nice.

This hotel felt very odd. The first night we were there we had several spiders in our room and someone on staff came and cleaned them up. Other than the spiders, it was clean but did not feel like a 4 star hotel. It was very sterile and lacked basic amenities. The beds were terrible, they felt very cheap and made our backs hurt every night. Everyone we talked to (Drivers, Guides, etc) while we were in town gave us strange looks and wondered why we were staying there. Turns out, until recently this hotel was used to house displaced Ukrainians. There was one lady at the front desk that was very kind but the other front desk people weren't very engaging and the restaurant and breakfasts were terrible. It was also a bit of a far walk into town.

This was our favorite hotel of the trip! The staff were very attentive and friendly. The beds were very comfortable, and our room had a beautiful garden view.. This hotel has the BEST breakfasts!

I didn't understand what a "jaunt" was and horses can sometimes trigger my allergies. So we skipped the ride and just went for the afternoon tea. The tea was really fun and delicious, we had a great time.

Unfortunately, the day that fit our schedule for this was a Monday and very little was happening when we arrived. Restuarants and bars weren't even open. I took a picture in front of the matchmaking bar and that was about it. Our driver this day, Pat, was probably the best of the trip, He shouldnt us some other cools stops along the way and was really fun.

We ended up joining a small tour from the pier, it was 25 Euro per person. This was well worth it and I would recommend this to anyone going to Inis Mor, or to book a private guide before arriving. Otherwise, we probably wouldn't have been able to see much of the island because the notable sights are too far to walk to from the pier and the shops and restaurants near the pier are lacking. We had a fantastic lobster roll from a local food truck near Dun Aonghasa, and the little shops up there are much better than the ones near the pier.

Our guide, Mike, was wonderful. But this activity felt underwhelming. It mostly felt like a stroll through the park with a friend.

Our guide was very kind and personable, however, she is the daughter of the company owner, she is in college and not really a knowledgable guide. We didn't really learn much. She also said she usually only does 1 hour group tours so she didn't know what to do with us for 3 hours on a private tour. We ended up letting her go early bc it felt like a waste of time.

We enjoyed this! Our guide, Adrian, was wonderful. We had 5 stops and our guide directed us to other places we should try during our time there.

Nice hotel in a very convenient location for anyone catching an early flight. We didn’t spend much time there since we checked in, slept, and headed to the airport first thing in the morning, but it served our needs perfectly.

First‑class hotel, and we had a wonderful experience with the staff. The owner was onsite and always greeted us warmly whenever we crossed paths. Highly recommend this hotel for other visitors.

Skógafoss is definitely worth the stop, and the sheer power of the waterfall is very cool to witness in person.

Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach are must‑see stops for any visitor. I highly recommend visiting both the lagoon and the beach—the glaciers and drifting icebergs are stunning, and walking down to Diamond Beach is absolutely worth it. We planned to take the Zodiac tour, but high winds caused it to be cancelled.

If it’s already on your route, it’s worth a quick stop, but in my opinion it doesn’t stand out the way the other waterfalls we visited did.

We really enjoyed our stay in Akureyri, and I recommend that anyone doing the Ring Road spend at least one night here to explore the city.

The cave is right along the route, making it an easy stop as you explore the area, but in my opinion it’s not particularly memorable and could be skipped without missing much.

Did not visit as Noga indicated the columns had a lot or erosion this past spring, plus the weather was not good that day with heavy wind and rain.

Vestrahorn Mountain was nice to see, but the black‑sand beaches—with their dunes and tufts of grass—were the real highlight.

Hengifoss and Litlanesfoss were definitely worth the stop, and the hike itself was incredibly scenic as you make your way toward Hengifoss.

We appreciated our visit and would recommend it to fellow travelers.

Did not stop to explore as it was raining really hard and very windy. Was bummed the weather was poor that afternoon and not able to spend more time there.

We just stopped for a few minutes, and it was perfectly fine for a quick visit.

We really enjoyed our stay in this village. I highly recommend that future visitors base themselves here when exploring Eastern Iceland.

Stuðlagil Canyon was certainly worth the visit, and I would highly recommend it to future travelers. The basalt column formations were remarkably striking.

I’d rate this stop as fairly average and wouldn’t recommend going far out of your way to see it. That said, the south part of the canyon was genuinely striking—very cool formations and beautiful scenery—so it’s worth visiting if you’re already nearby.

We didn’t do the entire cliff walk from Arnarstapi to Hellnar, but starting from Arnarstapi was wonderful. Even a partial hike offers gorgeous coastal views, making it a stop well worth your time.

We truly enjoyed our one‑day stay in Reykjavík. It’s a vibrant, walkable city, and I’d recommend that any traveler to Iceland spend at least a day taking it in.

I’m really glad we stopped to explore the sod homes. Buying tickets to go inside made the visit far more meaningful and was well worth the time and money.

The whale‑watching safari was a bit of a disappointment, as we only saw a couple of whales briefly surface far off in the distance. Still, we understand that with tours like this, sightings are never guaranteed. The tour group and the boat was good though.

Definitely one of the highlights of our trip, and I highly recommend it to future visitors. It was incredible to experience remote parts of Iceland that are only accessible by 4WD. Our guide, Lilly, was excellent.

The Skógafoss waterfall is definitely worth a stop—its power and beauty make it a memorable visit.

We just stopped for a few minutes along our route that day so not really able to give it a fair review.

Dettifoss and Selfoss were truly remarkable, and I would strongly recommend them to future visitors.

We really enjoyed visiting all the sites recommended on the Geological Wonders of Lake Mývatn tour. The Grjótagjá Cave was a bit underwhelming, but everything else was fantastic. I highly recommend bringing head nets—the midges can be overwhelming. A friend suggested this before our trip, and my wife and I were very glad we listened.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel so much. The staff were not just welcoming and friendly, they went out of their way to make our stay amazing. The food was fantastic and the location is just delightful.

This was our favorite activity. While the guide/concierge was just ok, the sauna itself, the facility, location and amenities were wonderful. We had so much fun that evening we will never forget it.

Inge gave us a wonderful view of the fjord near Flåm. The ride was smooth and comfortable and she gave us great photo opportunities, entertained us with stories of the area and its history in a witty and fun way.

We very much enjoyed walking the Bergen and Brggyn area to learn more about the history and culture. The food was great and we learned so much.

This is a high speed adventure ride from Bergen to the fjord. It was exciting and beautiful.

Iris was a wonderful guide and the equipment and instruction were all spot on. We had a lovely time exploring the islands.

The boat was so much fun - it was a vintage ferry with friendly staff and it made the trip seem so very Norwegian. Our guide was amazing, the museum is very interesting and had so many hands on exhibits, we really learned a lot. The glacier visit was very memorable and scenic.

Giovanni was a wonderful guide for our tour and so helpful with suggestions of others things to do and try.

Resort style hotel on the grounds of the Chantilly Chateau. Part of the resort complex was the chateau laundry with some of the old mechanicals still in place. Lovely setting in the woods with the chateau itself about 3 miles away from the hotel. Our room was in the modern building with a private terrace.

As the child of a career Army officer, the D-Day Beaches were a must do! However, it was not what I expected and I probably would have preferred a different day trip. The most impressive part of the trip was probably the German Cemetery - our group was one of two groups there, so it was not crowded as the other sites were later in the day.

Mont Saint Michel was an incredible place! It was busy, but we were able to see all we could. My husband did not feel up to going all the way up into the cathedral, but the town and the walls were amazing despite the crowds.

Samuel was GREAT on our walking tour of St. Malo. The day was lovely! He provided good context for this city which I was not familiar with. After our tour with Samuel, we were able to navigate the city easily. I especially enjoyed touring the old part of the city with the half-timber houses and the stain glassed galleries.

Lovely tour of Winchester with David. We loved- walking with the city wall on one side and the river on the other - peaceful, green and lush! He shared many interesting tidbits of early English history - my favorite part! The cathedral was beautiful! The guildhall was somewhat of a letdown (marketing 15th -16th century style was still cheesy), although the ruins which surround it were beautiful!

Best place we stayed on the whole trip on a stormy day we could see the weather and on a clear day we could walk where we wanted and the food was amazing!

Our guide was a perfect gentleman when we were at the glacier he would us let enjoy the quiet and the calfing of the glacier. It was the most peaceful and full of awe trip. Hard to explain but just perfect!

This was our favorite hotel of our three city vacation. The staff, the room, the meals - everything was perfect. Florence is such a walkable city and the Palazzo Castri 1874 we well situated for our exploration of the historic area. I don't know if we will return to Florence, but if we do, this is the only hotel in which I want to stay.

We were only there briefly (26 hours) but the time we were there, we appreciated that this is a very nice hotel, with all of the amenities, and outstanding service. Would highly recommend!

The most amazing hotel we have ever stayed in! Service was exceptional, the views were unparalleled, the breakfast was outstanding, and this place cannot be beat. The live music at sunset and breakfast added to the joy at every turn. The pool was also a fun and beautiful place to spend the day!

The perfect walking tour, complete with just the right amount of information and history, and time to experience Florence.

Remarkable conversion of the Chateau's mainteance complex into a hotel. This is a multiple building conversion with lovely modern rooms. Staff weas friendly and helpful. Food was good. This has the air of a conference center but works well for just staying. It's located beyond walking distance to Chantilly, so you'll need to get rides if you doin't have a car. But the staff was helpful in arranging that.

This is a unique conversion on the edge of Bayeux. It looks like a wealthy merchant's house from the 19th century and it has gorgeous gardens in the back. We stayed in the family suite, and not a standard room, so my comments may not apply to all. The rooms have a old aristocracy feel but the bathroom is completely updated and modern. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent.

This is an amazing place. We stayed in an oceanside room - these are built into the cliff face below the main hotel. All we could see were the sea and the headlands. Rooms were plenty big for 2. The restaurant was excellent for Breakfast and Dinner. The location is brilliant for exploring Cornwall and THE VIEW!!!

Classic English Inn on the Cathedral Square in Winchester. You could not find a better place to explore Winchester from. The staff were kind and helpful. The restaurant was very good for both breakfast and dinner. It is in the old downtown, so if you are driving, don't have too big a car.

This was a great half day tour of St. Malo. Samuel, our guide, was well informed, personable and adapted the tour to our interests and capabilities.

David our guide was lovely and knowledgeable. He shaped the itinerary to our interests and the pace to our requirements. Couldn't imagine a better half day in Winchester.

Well kept, wonderful views, pool and nice clean rooms. Room was not as thoughtfully laid out as the Hotel Svizzero and our window looked out right on the well trodden path where lots of guests were walking, so privacy was an issue. Breakfast buffet options not as varied as those of Hotel Svizzero. Also, pool was nice but mostly inside so not ideal for lounging around it. Finally, meal options not as good as restaurants in town. All in all, a very good hotel but these issues prevent me from giving it 5 stars.
