Just got back from an incredible trip to Morocco with my friends. Loved seeing all the beautiful colored textiles, ornate doors, and pottery in the souks. And of course loved eating amazing tagine and my favorite Bastilla. We enjoyed hiking in the Atlas mountains and riding donkeys, camels and horses all around Morocco. Our local specialist Siad was great and allowed us to make last minute changes and assist us in getting restaurant reservations. Thanks Siad for being so flexible. And we can't thank of driver enough- Soufiane. He was knowledgeable, accommodating, and just a great person. And he put up with 3 women whose luggage kept getting bigger and bigger! Many thanks for everyone for making this an incredible trip we will never forget.

A Day in the Imlil Valley

Enjoyed hiking, LOVED the ride down on the donkeys, and enjoyed a nice Berber meal. My only comment is that I thought we were eating with the Berber family and would get to talk to them. We ate alone and only briefly saw the woman and child of the house. I think it would have been cooler to get to know the Berber family, learn about their day, life in the village, etc.

An Evening Food Walk in Marrakech

Fun food tour. Biggest complaint is that we didn't realize that we were going to multiple places. We started at a roof top restaurant and had tagine and cous cous and all filled up thinking that was dinner. To our surprise we then went to multiple food vendors and we were stuffed so did not get to try the snails and missed out on other dishes. Wish they had warned us!

The service was great to have guides set up and things to suggest on the days we didn't have anything planned or places to be. We really enjoyed the local guides as they were all very knowledgeable on the areas we were wandering around. Would highly recommend using the Kim Kim service as they have local knowledge and can build an itinerary to what you like to do and see. Look forward to using Kim Kim in the future as it takes a lot of guess work out of what to do and where to stay as there are so many options of where to stay and they helped out making it spots that were easily walkable, nice hotels, and quiet. But they can help build a trip depending on your budget and what you would like to get up to while traveling.

This was our first experience with a pre-planned travel tour. My husband and I usually book our flights, our first and last hotel stays then figure out the rest of the trip as we go. When planning our Morocco trip, we quickly realized the type of trip we wanted to experience was more complex than we could handle on our own. After reading other kimkim travelers reviews of their own Morocco trip, we felt like this was the best travel solution. We recently returned home and could not be happier with how the trip turned out. Starting with the planning sessions with Hakim, who listened to our travel desires, answered all our questions and provided an itinerary we were thrilled to complete. When we decided to change things up, Hakim was accommodating and offered suggestions when we asked. Thank you Hakim for all your travel planning help.

When it came time to leave for Casablanca, we hit some trouble. Royal Air Maroc (who we booked directly), cancelled our flight, two days in a row. We were devastated. This meant our 12 day trip was down to 10. Unfortunately for us, our arrival was on a weekend when kimkim's general office is closed. We needed to alert our driver that we would not be there to meet him in Casablanca as scheduled. I was able to get a hold of Yassine at their emergency number and he was extremely helpful in updating our itinerary and driver. If you find yourself in a similar situation, do not try to call the emergency number from outside the country. Just text through WhatsApp. That was the best way to get in contact with the emergency line and provide screenshots of our updated flight information. When we finally arrived in Casablanca we met our driver Mohammed who drove through the night to get us to Meknes, so we wouldn't miss anymore of our planned itinerary. I cannot say enough great things about Mohammed. He was so kind to us our entire trip. Not only was he an excellent safe driver, he was a second tour guide. Pointing out special vistas along the way and telling us about the different towns we drove through. We had fun easy conversations and he answered our numerous questions with ease. He absolutely added more value to our trip, then just his driving skills.

The tour guides we had scheduled in different cities were knowledgeable about the locations they led us through. Especially Hassan in Fes. He loves his home city and it shows. He toured us around with pride in his heart sharing all his favorite places. As it was a private tour with just us three, we were able to enter small businesses like the UNESCO weaving shop with a 12 pedal loom and see their craft up close. You would never get that opportunity with a large group tour. I absolutely recommend booking private walking tours of the cities you are most interested in experiencing from a local perspective.

Our second favorite experience was the desert camp in Erg Cheggaga. Hamzil our driver was fantastic. He navigated his way from M'Hamid to our desert camp easily even though there are no roads in the Sahara. We had a delicious dinner at camp and were treated to drumming and music around the campfire. It was a magical experience we will treasure forever. Overall I would definitely book with kimkim again, not just for Morocco, but for any country where I plan on visiting multiple cities, and need a driver because travel by train is not available.

Thank you Hassan for a wonderful guided tour of your home city. Fes was one of our favorite stops on this tour.

Hannah did a wonderful job of planning our 10 day trip around Iceland. We loved it! It was just about perfect, and Iceland is an extraordinary country. The Perlan museum is a great place to start. Then we headed out to do the golden circle (even though the weather was quite something!). We ended up seeing north, south, and southeast Iceland, plus a whale watch where we saw multiple whales. It was truly a memorable trip!

Hanna provided a wonderful agenda and all of our car and hotel reservations went smoothly. Hanna was very responsive to all of our questions. The scenery and walks were both spectacular and unusual. Her suggestions for places to eat were excellent. We loved the Perlman museum and I would suggest that she recommend including the Perlan when in Reykjavik.

We had a wonderful trip to China.

China is home to all kinds of natural beauty and temples/monuments. However visiting the Great Wall and Zhangjiajie were by far our highlights.

We really enjoyed our guides Linda, Kevin, and Arthur. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the area we were visiting and more than willing to help us with anything we needed. I want to specifically give a shout out to Arthur who helped me find some cold medicine at a pharmacy.

It seemed to pick up when the fan was turned on. We asked the front desk for another room, which they kindly helped us with - but once we turned on the fan in that room....same cigarette smell. This was very disappointing given how nice the hotel looked.

This hotel is in a great location. Close walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The lobby is very nice and we enjoyed the hotel bar on several nights. Staff were very friendly and washing machines were free to use. However we were not thrilled about our room. There was hair on the floor in our bathroom and finger smudges on the mirror. You could also tell that someone had smoked in the room at some point even though it was a "non smoking" room. Bed was firm (which I don't mind as much), but it seems most are in China are (at least at the hotels we stayed at).

Grand Canyon was a little cheesy. It was cool to walk across the glass bridge, but the zipline and slide were just okay. The zipline limited your speed and the slide got backed up due to too many people being allowed at once. The boat ride at the bottom of the canyon could be skipped. Tianmen mountain was one of the coolest things we did on our trip. Beautiful area. Highly recommend. You MUST walk up the 999 steps.

Our trip to Scotland was amazing. Each location was different and beautiful and a good sampling of what we wanted to see in Scotland. Each lodging was also different but also beautiful. From quaint inns to personal cabins to luxurious hotels. We self drove so had a lot of flexible in what we did but the KimKim app was so useful in helping us decide what to do for the day. We did have some preset excursions. The Cairn distillery tour was very good and the Hairy Coo tour was really fun. And the castles....got to see castles in Scotland.

Just returned from a wonderful week in Norway...planned by Mathia!!
Hotels were excellent....perfect location each one!! would highly recommend the Amerikalingen, Aurlandfjord, and the Belgen Bors!!!
Our guides were really terrific.... Mia in Oslo and John in Bergen....walked and talked and learned quite a bit...would have missed so much had we not used the guides.
Loved the experience of the FjordSafari....great crew!!!
Certainly enjoyed the ferry from Aurland to Bergen....
All was excellent despite a bit of rain....never slowed us down

Our guide Samantha was great in planning the variety of experiences we wanted on our first trip to Australia. She listened to our request for some outdoor adventures and some city activities. Highlights were snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef (a super cool trip on a sailboat), a tour of the spectacular Sydney Opera House and lots of Aussie wildlife - koalas, birds...
The Zoom call with Samantha before the trip was very helpful to clarify the timing and all the transfers, hotel details etc. We felt very prepared.
There were some last minute changes with a tour operator, I recommend using the kimkim 'emergency' number if the operators are not reachable.

We had an excellent, well oiled, smooth trip thanks to Eric and Offbeat. They set up all our hotel reservations, making sure breakfast included everywhere. We did most of the trip on our own, but the things he/they set up were great and all lived up to expectations. (horseback riding, whale watching. lagoon trip) Their daily plan was very helpful, particularly for the map, which really helped with day-to-day plans. One thing I would suggest is to add a separate map that includes all the stops-including the optionals. (i.e.-2 maps, one with all suggested and another with suggested + optional). What would be REALLY cool is to have an interactive map where one could add or delete stops of any kind. It was helpful that they reached out with warnings about some potential road issues. And they got back to us quickly when we corresponded on their urgent email. They added just the right amount of handholding we needed and their suggestions took into consideration most of our interests.

The kimkim team were helpful in our planning for the trip and made us aware of their availability if needed..they were very prompt in helping us exchange one tour for another. The hotels were all very nice and in great locations. We felt that 2 days in Flam would have been enough. Not thrilled with the Viking village.
Enjoyed the beach hike in Bodo with Ivar. He suggested we take the 2 hour ferry commuter trip to visit the islands.. we enjoyed that
The evening ferry from Bodo to Svolvaer was gorgeous because of the sunset. The RIB tour in Svolvaer was alot of fun

We had an excellent time during our two weeks in Spain (Barcelona, Granada, Ronda and Malaga). Excellent private tours, great itinerary, lots of free time and a relaxed travel schedule. The hotels were wonderful, and I love that all the in country travel was taken care, made everything so stress free. Highlights include the private Gaudi tour and bike tour in Barcelona, private tour of the Alhambra in Granada plus a lovely hike in the Sierra Nevada. All the guides knew their stuff. Thank you KimKim!

Nikola did a great job suggesting a workable plan for our trip to Slovenia.
He provided clear instructions & was always on hand to answer questions.
The guides, Maya & David he provided for our trip were fantastic & provided us with wonderful experiences.
Maya in particular used her own lived experience of the area around Piran to take us on back roads to take full advantage of all the area has to offer including a beautiful lunch place situated overlooking the Adriatic Sea - she also suggested what we could do to enjoy our time more fully.
Both drivers allowed us to make choices as to what we wanted to do according to the weather & what we felt we would enjoy.
They were both on time & courteous & friendly at all times always willing to answer our questions & shared their own life experiences so we got a full glimpse into life in Slovenia.

We had such an incredible week in Iceland! I traveled with my 10-year-old son, and Emanuela did a wonderful job helping us plan a trip that had the perfect balance of adventure, sightseeing, driving, and downtime.

From the beginning, Emanuela gave really thoughtful recommendations, including when to travel given that I would be self-driving with my son and the weather can be unpredictable. The itinerary was so well planned, with great hotels, manageable driving days, and a mix of experiences that we both loved.

My son unfortunately got sick right when we arrived, so we weren’t able to follow our itinerary the first day. The team was incredibly easy to reach and helped rearrange our Blue Lagoon visit for another day. It all worked out seamlessly, and we still got to experience everything we had hoped to.

And Iceland itself was absolutely spectacular. We were there right on the cusp of the season and were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights, along with the Golden Circle, glaciers, hot springs, rainbows, waterfalls, and more cute sheep than we could count. My son kept saying, “This is unreal. This is magic.” That pretty much sums up the trip.

I really appreciated Emanuela’s thoughtful planning, great recommendations, and the support when we needed it. It was such a special trip for my son and me, and one we’ll remember for a very long time!

This was honestly one of the coolest things we did! It was a beautiful sunny day, which was nice, and our guide was exceptionally passionate about what he was doing, and he had my son as a little helper since my son was the only child on the tour which made him feel special and made the experience much more interesting for my 10-year-old. The bread was delicious and the tour itself was just like 45 minutes and it was perfect really unique.

This was so awesome the girl that did the private lesson for my son was so sweet and nice 20 years old was very good with my son listening to him and teaching him and showing him all the things very patient and kind and caring.
