We spent 11 fantastic days exploring the sights, tastes and sounds of Morocco. Our driver, Tayeb, was super informative and a pleasure to speak with throughout our journey. He was a safe and experienced driver which was very reassuring. Our stays were in Rabat, Chefchauen, Fez, the Sahara, Ait Benhaddou and Marrakech. We enjoyed the variety of landscapes along the way, the hustle of the medinas, and the quiet dunes of the Sahara. Dune buggy and camel riding in the desert were memorable highlights. The Medina and food tasting tour with Abdul in Fez really helped us appreciate the history and culture of the people living and working in the Medina.

Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Ride in Marrakech

Once we finally got up in the air, we enjoyed the experience. (We were delayed by fog for two hours.) Our view above the clouds was beautiful, but brief, as we had to descend below the clouds again quickly. It took some time to find a safe place to set down, but floating over Berber villages was quite interesting.

When we had bad weather Said was on top of it and made recommendations & they were perfect. He did all the work while I was able to enjoy the trip. We had a fantastic vacation in Morocco, thanks in large part to KimKim! Our family thought this was one of our favorite trips. We like to plan a lot of a vacation ourselves and appreciated that KimKim let us book our own hotels and some tours, while arranging transportation and other tours themselves. The tours KimKim arranged were some of our favorites- the guides were very hands-on, informative, and flexible as needed with our family (we traveled with two kids, ages 1.5 & 6). Our driver, Yassine, was the highlight of our trip! He was with us for the whole week and was so kind and helpful. We were able to contact our local guide at any point during the trip, which was reassuring. We even changed something the night before (traveling to Casablanca earlier than planned) and they were able to accommodate. I cannot recommend enough!

Our two-week journey through Morocco with KimKim was nothing short of extraordinary, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible driver and guide, Kalid. From day one, Kalid was patient, knowledgeable, and wonderfully accommodating, always making sure we felt comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout the trip.

Morocco itself completely captured our hearts. We experienced a fascinating culture, unforgettable cuisine, and some of the warmest, most welcoming people we’ve ever met. This trip is an absolute must for anyone who truly enjoys immersing themselves in other cultures rather than just visiting a destination.

The itinerary was perfectly balanced—taking us from the high-energy, colorful chaos of Marrakech to the peaceful, calming beauty of Chefchaouen. We watched the sun rise and set over the Sahara Desert, experienced the deep-rooted traditions of Fez, and shared unforgettable meals during a cooking class in a local family’s home, as well as lunch with a welcoming Berber family. These moments felt authentic, intimate, and incredibly special.

Standing inside the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca was breathtaking—the sheer scale and beauty of it left us in awe. And in true Morocco fashion, the diversity amazed us: we went from snow in the Atlas Mountains to the Sahara Desert in just 12 hours.

This trip was rich, diverse, thoughtfully planned, and truly exceeded our expectations in every way. We would highly recommend KimKim to anyone considering Morocco—especially travelers who want depth, authenticity, and unforgettable experiences.

There was so much more we explored and experienced. 2 weeks was a great length of time to experience what Morocco has to offer. Anything shorter I think you would be missing out.

Our family just spent two weeks in Morocco. We’ve used Kimkim before to arrange other trips and used them again for this one (wouldn’t do an international trip without them)! Said was extremely easy to work with as we planned the itinerary, which was jam packed with so many amazing adventures (as we like it)! We did walking tours, a food tour, sunrise hot air balloon ride, camped in the Sahara, rode camels, sand boarded, met Nomad families, took a cooking class (so happy I now know how to make Tangine), spent an afternoon in a hammam, shopped in the souks, ate amazing food, made stops at argan, saffron and rose co-ops, learned about making rugs (and bought several), hiked in the mountains, toured Atlas Studios, visited Ait Ben Haddou, and ended at the Atlantic Ocean.

Said made sure our accommodations were top notch and every detail was covered. But what really made the trip all pull together was our driver Karim. He was with us for the whole two weeks, which we loved! He became a part of our family and really made our trip safe, comfortable and fun. It was so helpful to have his help for translations when needed. He recommended, and arranged for great lunches on the road, and when our itinerary needed to change due to a closed mountain pass, he arranged a new route and found us a different hotel. This all flowed so seamlessly and we never had to worry about a thing. Karim was phenomenal!

This trip exceeded all of our expectations. All of our accommodations and activities were perfect. We especially loved staying at La Maison Arabe in Marrakesh, along with Tiziri Luxury Camp in Merzougha. And don’t miss dinner at Dardar Rooftop (Marrakesh). Go for the sunset!

A Relaxing Hammam Experience: The Art of Moroccan Wellness

Doing a hammam while in Morocco is a great idea. But I didn’t feel that our particular hammam was ready for us. They were unorganized. We prepaid through Kimkim but they still were asking for payment. This hammam took our whole family at one time and the five us were bathed at one time. I would have been more comfortable doing males and females separately.

What an experience!! Our driver took us to the valley where we picked up our guide Latifa. She led us through small villages and was able to translate for us. We ended up having lunch with a family and it was the best meal of our whole trip. The village kids liked to follow us as we passed through their village, and we ended up playing soccer with them. We booked a 8-day 7-night tour with Kimkim. First, Imane was a fantastic travel consultant to help us plan the itinerary. We reached out relatively late in November for a December trip. Especially as Morocco was hosting the African Cup of Nations and accommodations were booked out. She helped us with an itinerary while taking into account some of our requests around dietary restrictions and making sure our elderly parents would be comfortable. Once booked, our local point of contact in Morocco was Said, who did a fabulous job in figuring out the right hotels, accommodating last minute requests and ensuring we were supported right through the tour. He also made sure we had the best driver/guide combination in Ikhlaf and Noureddine. The two of them made sure we stopped at the right restaurants with good vegetarian food, showed us local spots and ensured we had the best local and cultural experience. We had some pretty late breaking requests for tours (like star gazing, ATV rides, etc) and they helped us out with those. I cannot praise this duo enough and would highly recommend these guys if you are planing a trip to Morocco. The trip was fabulous and a big reason was the Kimkim crew. We had some long driving days through spectacular scenery (High Atlas Mountains with snow, The Sahara desert at Merzouga, gorges, etc) and these guys made sure we were comfortable. Overall, a wonderful experience.

We had a fantastic time in Morocco! Our itinerary was Tangier-->Chefchauen-->Rabbat-->Casablanca. KimKim and our local contacts (Yassine-planning, Soufiane-driving) put together an excellent trip exactly as we envisioned it. Specifically for us we wanted to have time to explore places and not rush from place to place. Our Riad in Tangier was well located for exploring the medina, and we were less than a 5 minute walk from a well known brochette (kebab) place. The coastal views just outside of town at the Lighthouse and where the Mediterranean/Atlantic come together are great. In Chefchauen - do the Spanish monastery hike at sunset - you can even get great views only walking part of the trail - and then you can save energy for the Akchour Waterfall hike which was probably our favorite day of the trip! Rabbat is a much bigger city and fun to explore - many of the museums are excellent. One favorite was the Musée National de la Photographie.

Altogether it was a great trip, and all of the planning and guidance we received made it happen!

Everything with this trip planned by KimKim went great. The website is easy to use. Hakim, our representative, was fast, courteous, and always willing to help out. He created a great agenda for us in Morocco. The hotels (riads) we stayed at were simply amazing. Our driver, Khalid, was exceptional. Every hotel knew we were coming, the drivers and guides always showed up on time. They planned some additional activities such as a cooking class in Fes. I would use KimKim again.

It was one of the most exiciting and memorable trip for me and my friends. Everything was perfect from the beginning to the end of the trip. Thanks to Hamza for improvising the itinerary. We could not have put together this experience on our own. I had a general idea of what I wanted and you guys delivered an exceptional itinerary. I was grateful for the thought put into the locations and for our driver/guide Khalid who was responsive, attentive, accommodating and calm. I didn’t know what to expect having an escort over the span of 9 days but it was comforting. We felt safe. I will say that the tours we had were thorough and informative but could feel a little less like planned shopping trips. We appreciated being directed to reputable vendors but after a while it was a bit overwhelming and repetitive. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the trip and felt that it gave us a great overview of the country. We would’ve liked to have a bit more time in Casablanca and Tangier but realize we were limited by our time in the country. We would certainly use kimkim again.

It was a beautiful surrounding and glamping accommodations but the 'experience' was light.

Orientation Walk & Free Afternoon in Chefchaouen

Chefchaouen was a favorite stop of the trip but there was chaos with the African Cup and no orientation. Figured things out because it is a small city (and beautiful!) but didn't realize we'd be on our own and rough for a disabled person to get to the hotel at the top of a hill and top floor room.

The Hassan II is not to be missed but not tons else to see compared to what we experienced elsewhere.

My family and I had a wonderful trip to Morocco during the 2nd week of Jan 2026. From the time I spoke to Hamza from Kimkim to discuss my plans for the trip to the time we boarded the flight back to the UK after an enjoyable 6 day trip, we were in the able hands of Hamza (our driver) and Said. They took care of every little detail throughout the trip making us feel comfortable and helped us enjoy the trip thoroughly. Our trip included towns like Marrakech, Dades, Merzouga, Fes and Chefchaouen. They were happy to accommodate small changes we were making to our schedule. The guides they arranged for sight seeing and food tours were experts in their field. Overall we had a fantastic experience of Morocco, their people and their culture that was ably supported by the wonderful team at Kimkim and Original Travels.

Kim Kim beat my expectations by far!

We took a family of 7 to Morocco for 8 days. We have allergies, needed different accommodations and had specific ideas about what the trip should include. Ali (local planning specialist) helped plan an amazing experience. He was incredibly responsive and helpful. Once it was planned, he turned it over to Said, who was also exceptional - before, during and even after our travels, he was helpful, and responsive.

Our guide (Rachid) was also our driver. It was great to have a private guide just for us. He has experience all over Morocco and is an amazing driver. One of our kids often gets car sick. Not only did they NOT get sick, they loved to sleep while he drove! He found us restaurants and bathrooms when we needed them and offered information about local customs and areas as he drove.

Hotels - We stayed in Barcelona, Fes, Marrakech and the Agafay desert. The Riad Salam Fes. Wow. The pictures don't do it justice! It's beautiful. In Marrakech, we stayed at Riad Diamond of Marrakech. The first floor can be noisy, but the upper floors are quieter. The rooftop terrace was beautiful. The location requires a good walk from one of of the gates, but is amazing - right next to the center of town/markets. The Agafay Luxury camp tents were a fantastic way to finish our trip. Note that the on-site restaurant is expensive for the food that it offers.

Activities - We had local guides for tours of Fes and Marrakech. Our local guide in Marrakech was fantastic - the perfect mix of history, culture, and an introduction to the markets. We had a night food tour which was OK. Our hot air balloon ride was cancelled due to weather, but our ATV and camel rides in the desert were a great way to start our time in Agafay.

We had some issues with accommodations as we requested a triple room (3 people) with 3 separate beds. Kim Kim confirmed with the hotels before our travel. Unfortunately, some of the 'third beds' were either a sofa or worse. Kim Kim did their job. The hotels oversold what they could provide. Kim Kim did their best to remedy the situation.

Overall, we had a great time and will happily go back to Kim Kim in the future!

I wish that we had known we were going from the van to the camels to the ATVs. We were essentially dropped off at the camels without knowing the rest of the activity, so people didn't have warmer clothes on for the ATVs.

This was disappointing. I was expecting to be shown and guided or even be able to apply the henna ourselves. A guidfe took us from the Riad to the Henna cafe. We waited in line, chose a design and had it applied. This could have been done anywhere.

We loved Morocco and felt the planning done by Jayway was perfectly suited to our needs. We loved not having to pay for each service and stay and the flow of care provide by our guide and driver Ishmail. The other short term guides were local and e appreciated that. Ishmail and Majid worked well with us to make sure we were comfortable and adjusted for our early arrival and our requests for times for our excursions. We loved loved every place we stayed especially the family owned Dar Riannah. We highly recommend working with this team.

Again Hammid took great care of us and made the walk interesting and relaxed. He amended the time in the 2nd palace when we expressed our desire to spend time in the market. The team should let him know that we are at the end of a week in Morocco so seeing every palace in depth may feel like overkill. But we thought the world of Hammid and really enjoyed his company. He’s a great guide!

We know this was a long drive and the movie studio is a reasonable stop but it wasn’t very interesting to us. The Kashab was beautiful from the outside. It was a crowded and touristy place though and we did t get education on how people lived there we only learned about movies so it did t feel authentic.

We appreciated Ayoub and his knowledge of Fes. Unfortunately we weren’t prepared for a 6 hour tour and lunch at 3:30 pm. We were told we were doing a 3 hour tour so we got a bit tired and then we went to one of the rug sellers which was not a great experience or one we asked for. We missed the most impressive part of the rias the tanneries because it wasn’t told to us that it was coming and we were too tired after the late lunch to continue with Ayoub. This was mostly a communication problem from Majid because we would have been better prepared for a full day tour if it was told to us.

We had a safe ride and the driver was easy to find at the airport. We did have to walk with our luggage to find the road which was okay for us but others may not enjoy that. Arriving in ages can be intimidating and Google maps doesn’t work perfectly in the Medina.

We just returned from an unforgettable 8-day private tour in Morocco, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! Traveling as a family of six, including teenagers and grandparents, we were a bit nervous about how everything would go, but it was absolutely great.
Planning with Said:
Before the trip even began, Imane was great to work with. After the plan was set, we were transferred to Said. I had a lot of questions during the planning process, and Said and Imane were always patient, responsive, and helpful. Said resolved every concern quickly, which gave me a lot of confidence.
Our Driver – Abdelghani:
Abdelghani was a great driver—extremely careful, professional, and thoughtful throughout the entire trip. We always felt safe on the road, which is so important, especially when we drove through challenging roads in sometimes snowy weather (I was super nervous and had probably reached out to Said about the snowy weather at least 3 times :). He was punctual, patient, and made sure we were comfortable at all times. Always a great person to interact with.
Our Guide – Omar:
Omar was a great this trip! Young, energetic, and he made every moment engaging and fun. He connected with our teens, keeping them interested and involved. At the same time, he was incredibly helpful to our grandparents. One moment that really stood out was during a hike that turned out to be more challenging than expected—Omar went above and beyond, helping the grandparents to ensure they are safe. That level of care and dedication is truly appreciated by us. He was new to this route, but was trying hard to make the trip educational for us.
Local Guides - in different cities (Fez, Dades, Marrakech):
We had local guides in different cities and they have various level of knowledge and some spent more time sending us to shopping. We are okay with them because they were all new experiences and we got to learn how things work, but it may not be for everyone.
Overall Experience:
The itinerary was well-planned, and every detail was taken care of. We wholeheartedly recommend Omar and Abdelghani. They made our trip a memorable adventure. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our week long trip to Morocco! Maryem did a great job with planning ahead of time and was easy to communicate with. Our driver Zaid was amazing and made every day fun including a spontaneous hike into the Atlas Mountains. The Marrakesh walking tour with Hamid was excellent - he is so knowledgeable and engaging. The cooking class at La Maison Arabe was so fun and informative - we really learned a lot from Wafa and Hayat.

The chosen hotels were all excellent - clean, comfortable and with great amenities. We had an unforgettable night in Agafay desert at the Orion Dome and a camel ride. Salut Maroc in Essaouira was by far one of the most beautiful hotel rooms we have ever seen.

When we wanted to take the culture back home with us, Hamid and Zaid took us to very reputable stores for our interests. We felt very safe and engaged the whole time. We are so grateful for the immense kindness we experienced on our journey and will definitely be back!

Our trip to the best of Morocco was terrific - a planned excursion that shared the cultural and historic highlights of Casablanca, Tanger, Fes, Desert and Marakesh! Ousamma, our driver, was the glue that held the trip together -- his flexibility to start each morning at our desired hour and get us to each of our destinations safely and knowledgeably was invaluable.

His knowledge of photogenic stops, tastes along the travel and venues was outstanding! He was a warm part of each day from luggage to check-in and all the points inbetween. Highly recommended!
