We had 11 days to tour 7 cities in Morocco. Winnie and Megan organized everything from hotels to drivers and guides to a T. Mohamed (Momo) our driver (now adopted nephew), took spectacular care of us, answering all our questions and sharing his love and knowledge of his beautiful country. The people in Morocco are all so kind and lovely, the food was wonderful, the cities vibrant and exotic, the countryside diverse and beautiful. Overall we had a wonderful trip. There were several miscues regarding accommodations and one attraction but Said addressed them quickly. Our driver, Tayeb, was wonderful. Could not have asked for anyone to be more attentive to our needs. Offered terrific restaurant suggestions and was very knowledgeable about various attractions. Enjoyed all of our tour guides -Mohammed and Sharif and another person in Marrakech. My only complaint was that Mohammed decided we would rather end the tour than try the last two places. I would have appreciated being asked. Special shout out to Sharif for helping me avoid being overcharged for an item.

We just returned from the most magical journey through Morocco, organized through KimKim and we cannot recommend them highly enough! Every moment of this trip was thoughtfully planned, perfectly paced, and filled with unforgettable experiences.

• A spectacular food tour in Jemaa el-Fnaa square at dusk — so much delicious food!

This probably was our favorite hotel. In the heart of the Marrakesh medina, this hotel's tile work and furnishings were amazing and our room was so beautifully done it made us feel like we were in a room at a palace. We were a little skeptical as we rode down the lane to get to the hotel as it felt like it was in the middle of nowhere. However, the minute the front door opened we were enchanted! It was a true oasis with flowers and vines surrounding a lovely large courtyard and beautiful rooms. The rooftop had a Hammam and BOY DID WE LOVE THAT! We ate dinner there and it was wonderful, as was the breakfast. A truly delightful place to stay in Ouazazate.

This adventure was one of the highlights of our trip. From the camel ride at sunset in the sand dunes to our luxury tent to the delicious meal and the exuberant Berber drum circle - it was all perfect! Thank you to the manager Hassan for spending time chatting with us and outlining some of the Berber traditions and cultural highlights. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Fes to Merzouga Sunset Camel Ride via Midelt & Erfoud

Totally amazing experience! The location of the Saraha Sky Luxury Camp is absolutely perfect as it is set within the spectacular sand dunes. The camel ride was so fun, and we really didn't think we would like that part. The camel guide was charming and knew all the photos to catch in order to capture the beauty of the sunset. The camp itself had really nice tents with super comfy beds. Dinner and breakfast are served and the staff does a Berber drum circle after dinner around a camp fire. An absolutely wonderful place and experience.

Mohammed was very attentive and let us know when and how far the next stop was, particularly for bathroom breaks.

Majid worked with us closely to craft our fun 2 week itinerary in Morocco, asking us many questions and truly customizing for us. He was so responsive and helpful, and we are so grateful he connected us to Khalid, who was our amazing tour operator. From picking up up in Tangier, driving us all over the countryside to the coast and to many cities and gorgeous sights, to our trip end in exciting Marrakech, Khalid was patient, kind, and very enthusiastic. His love for Morocco really shines and he's a wealth of knowledge himself. We enjoyed our conversations and learned a lot, and Khalid also arranged many fun and interesting individual tours for us in each locale. We hope to have Khalid as our guide again!

Our family had an amazing 10-day trip to Morocco over the New Year’s Eve holiday early this year. Morocco was a very good choice for our trip - so many friendly people, beautiful landscapes and fascinating history. The itinerary put together with Hamza really made the trip for us. We started in Rabat, which let us see the capital city first to get oriented, and then traveled around the country clockwise, ending in Marrakesh.

The highlights of the trip for us are too many to mention. Off the top of my head: seeing macaques in the snow in the Middle Atlas mountains, riding camels at sunset in the Erg Chebbi desert, learning how to properly prepare Moroccan tea in Imlil, seeing daily life in the backstreets of Marrakesh, eating dinner with a local family in Fes, and taking pictures all of the many, many cats.

We were fortunate to have Samir as our driver for the trip. Samir is an excellent and professional driver, very safe and knowledgeable. He was skilled at communicating the logistics of our tour, keeping us informed and checking in on us through WhatsApp. Meeting times and places were always clear and easy. Samir made sure we moved efficiently from place to place, found our other local guides, and helped us get the most out of everything along the way. Samir’s many kind touches along the way were a great part of our wonderful trip.

Samir suggested many stops based on our interests, and all of them were top-notch additions. We especially enjoyed the Atlas movie studio visit in Ouarzazate, the stop at a geology museum and rock shop, and many interesting food and cultural places along the way. His advice on local customs and his familiarity with towns and people and food along the way were a big help.

All of our local guides were also outstanding: Sharif in Fes, Hanan in Marrakesh, Ahmed at Tiziri Camp in the Sahara, and Mohammed in Imlil.

Our driver Mohamed was excellent but the trip planning by Hassan was not detailed or customized to our trip. When reading the notes it seemed like Hassan cut and pasted someone else's itinerary onto our trip. Guides were missing at some of the stops and there was no attempt to compensate us or deal with the problem.

We just returned from an amazing adventure in Morocco. Working with Kim Kim and Sharon was great. Sharon worked with us to plan a trip that combined the right amount of guided touring with free time. She was able to curate the trip so we could do everything we wanted. Highlights include a cooking class with Narwa and her family, guided tours with Mohamed in Marakesh, Hassan in Fes and Hassana in Rabat. Our tour manager, Rashid was excellent. He was so helpful, timely and funny. We felt very cared for as he navigated around the country and made sure we had what we needed in every city.

Working with Kim Kim was so easy. Sharon was responsive and helpful and once on the ground, Abdou, her partner checked in and was so helpful. One example- I left some antibiotics on the airplane and Abdou helped me get some in Marakesh.

We will definitely work with Kim Kim again and would highly encourage anyone going to Morocco to check in with Sharon. She will make your trip amazing!

The trip was great. We really appreciated how smoothly the transport from the hotel to various activities worked out. It was well organized.

We enjoyed our day in the mountains and meeting some locals. I really want to go back!

This is our second trip using Kimkim. What we like about kimkim is that it allows us to design our own trip yet takes over the work of bookings and guides and travel. This works well for an immersive visit on our own timeline without the unwanted aspects of group travel. Majid was our travel specialist for our trip through Morocco. With Majid, we planned the trip in a back and forth exchange. He set up an intial trip based on our desired places to visit, lodging and experience. He was efficient, listened, and had good ideas. He was patient and responsive to the changes we wanted. Ultimately, we devised a trip that suited us, one that took us to our cities and areas of choice: Rabat, Mesnik, Fes, Essauria, Marakesh, The Atlas Mountains, The Saharan Desert. We were assigned to Mostafa as our overall guide and driver. He was wonderful, always available, and helped us understand the Moroccan culture and sites. We even enjoyed a most delicious Couscous with his family. His driving was excellent. Eric and I highly recommend him. Asram, our guide in Rabbat was exceptional, Rashid in Essuiaria was very good.

Honestly it was a Magical Experience!

My husband and I are big travelers. We travel abroad every year in exotic locations (we've been to the 7 wonders of the world and more) so when you read my review you'll know the bar was set high. We seen and done it all.

Hakim helped me plan this adventure. I can't say enough good about him. After months of going back and forth he had the perfect itinerary. He contacted me the first day of the trip to assure I had his contact info just in case I needed it. Then checked in to see how it was going. And of course I said incredible.

Let me start with the hotels. OH MAN! Each was amazing. My husband and I started ranking them with which we preferred and by the end we realized we loved every one of them.

I want to give a very special shout out to our driver Abdellatif. He was more than a driver he attended to any need we had. During the long drives we stopped and he told us about each location. There where times he wasn't scheduled to pick us up...but when we asked he was there with a smile.

The itinerary was just what we were looking for. A little adventure and a little education. From the cities and culture to the Sahara desert. There were a few highlights. Of course who doesn't want to ride a camel in the Sahara desert! We did a street food tour at night in Marrakesh and it didn't disappoint. Then we did a couples massage and Hamman in Fes. WOW! In all of the places in the world we've been we have never had an experience like this.

But mostly it was the people that we saw and met along the way.

We just came back from 10 days in Morocco and had an unforgettable experience. Booking with Original Travels through KimKim was easy and Said was patient, accommodating and informative. But the real adventure started when Karim picked us up at the airport. Over the course of our trip he was our driver, guide, photographer, entertainer, and friend. Of course we enjoyed all the epic destinations (thanks again to Said for setting us up with exactly the experiences we were looking for!) for the but the journey was just as good thanks to Karim. He was so generous with his time, stories, knowledge and smiles. Getting to know the locals is always a highlight of traveling for me and Karim really delivered for us! He introduced us to friends, took us to his favorite local spots, and sent us home with memories to last a lifetime.

I cannot praise Karim, our driver, enoughfor making our trip an incredible experience. He took the time to get to know us and adapted our travels to ensure we had the ultimate Moroccan experience including meeting several of his friends and taking us to local hangouts. Chefcaouen was beautiful and perhaps our most favorite city. I’m so glad we added an extra night and wished we even had more time there. Omar, our hiking guide, assessed our ability and took us on extended trails to beautiful sites. He later met us for a hike up to the Spanish Mosque for sunset with his dog as we were both dog lovers and missing our own at home. Fes was worthwhile and the trip out to the desert for luxury tent camping and a camel ride was unique. We spent time in the mountains, visited the gorge, walked through the oasis, and had a lovely afternoon with a local family who could not have been more welcoming. I will admit that Marrakech at the end of the trip was a bit overwhelming after spending so much time in country but we took advantage of the resort and had a quiet afternoon poolside before meeting our driver again for a very fun local nightclub experience. I would highly recommend KimKim to anyone wishing to plan a visit to Morocco and I will certainly use them again for my future travels elsewhere.

I was traveling with a friend and all our other accommodations provided us with individual beds. When we arrived, we were told we were assigned a single king bed, when asked if they could accommodate us in a room with separate beds, the cost we were told would be $800 USD per night to accommodate (obviously we didn’t make the change). We also found this property to be more expensive for drinks and opted not to eat there. We found the staff pleasant but not was warm and comforting as our other stays.

This was probably our favorite stay in Morocco. The city was beautiful and the people so welcoming. Omar was a perfect guide for our hike to Gods Arch and the waterfall. We had such a fun time with Omar, he met us later in the day and took us up to the Spanish Mosque to watch the sunset followed. Y a visit to his home and a chance to meet his family. We felt like we were relatives over for a visit. Mustafa was out local guide and he treated us like we were his best friends right from the beginning, brought us to some of his favorite “trusted” shops, and even took the time to find us a bottle of wine and bring it to our hotel so we could enjoy a rooftop dinner.

Our trip to Morocco was wonderful on many levels. The front-end services that were coordinated through KimKim went smoothly, even though our point person changed right before we left for Casablanca. The local guides and our driver, the intrepid Hashim, were drawn from a tour group called Immersive Morocco, I think. They were all knowledgeable, professional and enthusiastic about the culture and different regions of the country. We stayed inside the walls of the old city in both Fes and Marrakech, which were unique and authentic! The camel camp in the Sahara was a real treat, too. I recommend doing it all!! We also stayed in a renovated casbah. What an experience! It was a lengthy road trip but Hisham knew all the spots to stop, where the cleanest restrooms were located and was able to point out interesting facts along the way. Having a private driver is definitely the way to go!

Staying at Kasbah Tiziri was a wonderful experience, especially with the Canadian owner who was very empathetic to our situation when I fell ill. She kindly offered to let us use her washing machine, provided us with extra paper towels, and even sent us off with some bananas for the journey. Her kindness made a tough time much more bearable.

When you wind your way through the alleyways of the walled city and a big wooden door opens up into a charming little courtyard with gorgeous tile work and a fountain, it's breathtaking. We had a fantastic week driving all over Morocco and I think what impressed us the most was just how much variety there is! Kimkim did a great job taking care of all the details for us and making it easy & seamless to do so many different things. All of our hotels were great, but the room in Essaouira (Riad Mimouna) was particularly stunning and memorable! We really enjoyed Essaouira and appreciated it being an unstructured day where we could explore on our own. I also want to shout out our Marrakech local guide, Abdella-- he pointed out details we would have never noticed and enriched the walking tour with cultural and historical significance. Moreover, he customized it to our specific interests, taking us to a spices shop at our request with no hesitation. And of course, our night in the Sahara Desert with the camel ride, campsite, sunset & sunrise were just magical.

In retrospect, there were a few excursions that didn't quite meet expectations and/or weren't totally tailored to our interests. It felt like they kept pushing us to buy from local merchants (leather, carpets, silk, oils, etc.), but we were more interested in history than in shopping. We also had much better experiences finding food on our own than in the places they set up for us, which were generally more expensive and had less variety.

All that said, the best part of our experience with kimkim might very well be our driver, Tayeb. He was always punctual, friendly, and professional throughout the trip. I can't imagine trying to navigate through Morocco on our own, through crazy traffic & long drives, and it was so worth it to have someone else manage it for us. But more than that, Tayeb added a lot of unexpected fun and interesting stops along the way! Arguably all of our best meals were on the road at restaurants he picked that we would have never found on our own. They were delicious and very well priced! There were so many hidden gems and experiences he opened up, breaking up the driving time with conversation and humor. He showed us the epitome of Moroccan hospitality and it really felt like we left with a new friend.

Abdella did such a fantastic job! This is exactly what we were looking for. He explained the art in such detail, helping us understand the "what" and "why" behind the beautiful mosaic tiles we'd been seeing all week. We learned so much in such a short time with him. And then when we said we were specifically interested in going to a spice stand, he didn't hesitate but took us to exactly what we we had in mind. He catered the experience to us and shared so much interesting information along the way. It was great!

This was a total flop. The sandboard didn't move one inch down the sand hill. They didn't take us out to a dune high enough, just handed us an old board to let us walk a few feet within the camp. Even Michael as an experienced snowboarder couldn't get it to move at all. This didn't work at all and was disappointing.

This really did not live up to how it was advertised. The family was VERY sweet, and I appreciate them feeding us. But here's how it was described: "When you arrive, they welcome you with smiles and offer mint tea and dates. The father may work in the medina or at a school, and he will proudly talk about Fes. The mother makes sure you feel comfortable. The children may be shy at first, but soon they will come to greet you. Before dinner, you may help a little in the kitchen. The mother can show you how to mix a salad or arrange bread. While cooking, the family asks about your trip, your home, and what you think of Morocco. They tell stories about daily life and their city. Dinner is served at a low table. Everyone sits on cushions." In reality, we sat alone in a silent room while one teenager watched us eat. The mother and father did not speak English at all and thus were unable to converse with us. No one ate with us, the teenager just watched us eat. We paid 650 dirham for chicken tagine, while was paid 120 dirham for the exact same meal at a restaurant. They did not teach us how to cook, we did not sit on cushions, and it was disappointing. But that's not a knock on the family themselves- they were very sweet people!

Guided Tour of Fez Medina

In reality, this felt like more like a guided tour of where to shop than of the history of Fez. We really weren't interested in buying things and thus felt awkward as we were continuously dropped off at another merchant (leather, silk, pottery, carpets, etc). And when he took us to a historic site, he just dropped us off to check out on our own rather than talking us through it.

From start to finish, everything about our trip exceeded expectations. The country is stunning — from the vibrant cities and beautiful architecture to the peaceful dunes of the Sahara (a true bucket-list experience!). The people are incredibly kind and welcoming, and we felt completely safe everywhere we went — not even a hint of petty theft.

Imane was amazing in helping us plan the perfect trip for our family, especially since we were travelling with our 2-year-old toddler. She took the time to get on a call, walk through all our options, and tailor everything to our needs.

Said provided excellent on-the-ground support, always quick to help and solve any issues that came up in real time.

And Karim, our driver, made the journey extra special — sharing stories, traditions, and his deep pride in Berber culture throughout the trip.

Our first visit to Morocco was a thrill. Nihad made the planning so easy. I originally intended to travel with my brother & his wife, but he had to undergo surgery a month before our planned trip. Nihad easily substituted one of my friends in their place, which increased the price only slightly. We started in Marrakech (2 nights at the excellent Riad al Rimal), then traversed the High Atlas Mountains to Valley of Roses (2 nights at the stunning Kasbah Tiziri). We took a camel ride to the desert camp (Sahara Stars Luxury Camp) for 1 night, then went on to Fes (2 nights at the Riad Farouzi Fes). We flew back to Marrakech for 2 nights (again at the Riad al Rimal). We spent our last free day seeing the Jardins Majorelle (spectacular), the Museum of Berber Arts, and the Yves St. Laurent museum.

The high points: observing the traffic in Marrakech (wild!), our lunch with the locals in the Valley of Roses, the camel ride to the desert camp, the stop at the women's cooperative Berber rug shop, every city guide we toured with, and the people of Morocco, all of whom were so warm and welcoming. Kudos to Nihad, who always responded immediately to our questions. And of course Richad, our tour manager/driver, who was invariably pleasant, helpful, patient, and informative.

The whole trip from start to finish was amazing! The booking on kimkim was seamless and Majid was very accommodating with our interests and needs. He messaged me almost immediately while we were planning and checked in several times during the trip. Our driver Hasan became part of our family for the week! He was so proud to show us his country and particularly where he was raised. He was very certain to stop if we needed a break and made arrangements with local tour guides as we arrived. He had a very good sense of humor and a very caring disposition. The people of Morocco couldn't have been more friendly. Our guide in Fez was extremely knowledgeable and we were able to see so many amazing crafts. The family we had dinner with was delightful and we really enjoyed the experience of seeing how they lived. The Riads were wonderful and the hotel in the gorge was beautiful, modern and clearly the owners were paying attention to detail. the food the that hotel was excellent! We had a truly fantastic family trip to Morocco! Everything was planned so well and went very smoothly. We felt very welcomed and taken care of especially traveling with children. Riding camels on the beach was very memorable, and hiking in the Ourika Valley was absolutely beautiful. Each of our tour guides was unique and wonderful. They helped us to feel at home in Morocco!
