The trip was interesting. We enjoyed visiting Morocco and seeing the country. However, the extensive and lenghty driving between cities during the trip was not enjoyable. That was likely due to our own fault in not fully understanding the distances. For example, the 9 to 10 hour journey from Fes to Majourga and then into the desert was not good. Flight options would have been appreciated. Also, the car provided was not good enough. It was too old and uncomfortable. We also should have been aware of what constitutes a Riad. We enjoyed it as an experience but we would have preferred slightly better hotel options.

Nevertheless, the best part of the trip was our driver Samir. He made the trip worthwhile for us: he was humble, respectful and courteous. He was also very good driver and had a great attitude, a wonderful ambassador for your country. We highly recommend Samir and will mention him to our friends who wish to visit Morocco!

Jamal was THE best guide I’ve ever had in all my years of traveling. If I were his managers I’d promote him in a heartbeat. He was more than just a guide, he was a great friend to all of us on our trip. He went above and beyond, faced difficult situations, and made sure we were satisfied each day of our trip.

The trip was overall good but I was a bit surprised we didn't have a guide on board but it would have worked out fine if our driver was able to communicate clearly to us. Unfortunately Mustafa couldn't communicate well with us and it frustrated not only us but him.

The hotels were generally fine with slight hiccups here and there. Hotel Mimona at Essaouira however should never be recommended, thankful Said rectified for us much to our relief.

The Riad in Fes and Boumalne Dades was exceptionally good. The staff were very helpful and kind. The dinner at Dar Rihanna was absolutely delectable and the experience was delightful.

Just got back from an incredible trip to Morocco with my friends. Loved seeing all the beautiful colored textiles, ornate doors, and pottery in the souks. And of course loved eating amazing tagine and my favorite Bastilla. We enjoyed hiking in the Atlas mountains and riding donkeys, camels and horses all around Morocco. Our local specialist Siad was great and allowed us to make last minute changes and assist us in getting restaurant reservations. Thanks Siad for being so flexible. And we can't thank of driver enough- Soufiane. He was knowledgeable, accommodating, and just a great person. And he put up with 3 women whose luggage kept getting bigger and bigger! Many thanks for everyone for making this an incredible trip we will never forget.

A Day in the Imlil Valley

Enjoyed hiking, LOVED the ride down on the donkeys, and enjoyed a nice Berber meal. My only comment is that I thought we were eating with the Berber family and would get to talk to them. We ate alone and only briefly saw the woman and child of the house. I think it would have been cooler to get to know the Berber family, learn about their day, life in the village, etc.

An Evening Food Walk in Marrakech

Fun food tour. Biggest complaint is that we didn't realize that we were going to multiple places. We started at a roof top restaurant and had tagine and cous cous and all filled up thinking that was dinner. To our surprise we then went to multiple food vendors and we were stuffed so did not get to try the snails and missed out on other dishes. Wish they had warned us!

This was our first experience with a pre-planned travel tour. My husband and I usually book our flights, our first and last hotel stays then figure out the rest of the trip as we go. When planning our Morocco trip, we quickly realized the type of trip we wanted to experience was more complex than we could handle on our own. After reading other kimkim travelers reviews of their own Morocco trip, we felt like this was the best travel solution. We recently returned home and could not be happier with how the trip turned out. Starting with the planning sessions with Hakim, who listened to our travel desires, answered all our questions and provided an itinerary we were thrilled to complete. When we decided to change things up, Hakim was accommodating and offered suggestions when we asked. Thank you Hakim for all your travel planning help.

When it came time to leave for Casablanca, we hit some trouble. Royal Air Maroc (who we booked directly), cancelled our flight, two days in a row. We were devastated. This meant our 12 day trip was down to 10. Unfortunately for us, our arrival was on a weekend when kimkim's general office is closed. We needed to alert our driver that we would not be there to meet him in Casablanca as scheduled. I was able to get a hold of Yassine at their emergency number and he was extremely helpful in updating our itinerary and driver. If you find yourself in a similar situation, do not try to call the emergency number from outside the country. Just text through WhatsApp. That was the best way to get in contact with the emergency line and provide screenshots of our updated flight information. When we finally arrived in Casablanca we met our driver Mohammed who drove through the night to get us to Meknes, so we wouldn't miss anymore of our planned itinerary. I cannot say enough great things about Mohammed. He was so kind to us our entire trip. Not only was he an excellent safe driver, he was a second tour guide. Pointing out special vistas along the way and telling us about the different towns we drove through. We had fun easy conversations and he answered our numerous questions with ease. He absolutely added more value to our trip, then just his driving skills.

The tour guides we had scheduled in different cities were knowledgeable about the locations they led us through. Especially Hassan in Fes. He loves his home city and it shows. He toured us around with pride in his heart sharing all his favorite places. As it was a private tour with just us three, we were able to enter small businesses like the UNESCO weaving shop with a 12 pedal loom and see their craft up close. You would never get that opportunity with a large group tour. I absolutely recommend booking private walking tours of the cities you are most interested in experiencing from a local perspective.

Our second favorite experience was the desert camp in Erg Cheggaga. Hamzil our driver was fantastic. He navigated his way from M'Hamid to our desert camp easily even though there are no roads in the Sahara. We had a delicious dinner at camp and were treated to drumming and music around the campfire. It was a magical experience we will treasure forever. Overall I would definitely book with kimkim again, not just for Morocco, but for any country where I plan on visiting multiple cities, and need a driver because travel by train is not available.

We recently returned from an unforgettable two-week journey through Morocco with Morocco Immersions, and we came home with so many wonderful memories.
Nihad worked with us to create an itinerary that allowed us to experience so many different sides of Morocco—from Rabat and Fes to the Sahara Desert, the Dades Valley, Marrakech and Essaouira. We really appreciated the ability to personalize our trip and make adjustments so that the itinerary reflected what was most important to us.
A very special thank you goes to our driver, Rachid, who was with us throughout our journey. After spending nearly two weeks traveling together, Rachid became much more than simply our driver. He was kind, patient, dependable and always looking out for us. There were some very long driving days, yet he always made us feel comfortable and safe and never made us feel rushed. He answered our many questions, helped us along the way and shared pieces of everyday Moroccan life that we would never have experienced traveling on our own.
Some of our favorite memories happened along those drives—the changing landscapes, seeing the monkeys in the cedar forest, little stops along the way, conversations and even the music in the car. Those moments became part of the experience itself.
And what an experience it was! Walking through beautiful Fes, riding camels across the Sahara at sunset and spending the night in the desert, traveling through the mountains and valleys, cooking and sharing a meal with a local family, experiencing the energy of Marrakech, and ending our journey by the ocean in Essaouira. Morocco gave us so many moments we will never forget.
What we appreciated most was that this trip allowed us to experience more than just the sights. We learned about Morocco's history and culture, met wonderful people and had opportunities to experience everyday life and traditions along the way.
Thank you, Nihad, for putting together such a memorable journey, and a very heartfelt thank you to Rachid for taking such good care of us from beginning to end. Saying goodbye after traveling together for nearly two weeks was bittersweet.
Morocco is a beautiful and fascinating country, and we are very grateful to Morocco Immersions for helping us experience it. We returned home with wonderful stories, beautiful memories and a much deeper appreciation for Morocco and its people.

Our driver/guide Youssef made it such an incredible experience. He was so wonderful about sharing his local expertise and went well out of his way to make our trip special. He was very professional and friendly and nicely matched our pace and interests. We would highly recommend him to other people taking a trip to Morocco!
Our favourite part of the trip was our days in the Sahara desert, where we had wonderful accommodations and great local and unique experiences with the communities there.

Our overall trip was amazing! Majid did a great job personalizing our trip to meet our needs. We kept changing it until the last minute and he accommodated all our changes. We walked away with lots of great memories of the trip.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience traveling through Morocco!

From the very beginning, communication with Hassan was seamless. He was incredibly responsive, helpful, and worked with us to customize the itinerary based on exactly what we wanted from the trip. The entire planning process felt easy and well organized, and we really appreciated how flexible and attentive he was to our needs.

A huge part of what made the trip so special was our driver, Ismail, who was with us for 7 days as we traveled around the country. He was amazing—kind, helpful, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. We learned so much from him about Moroccan culture, daily life, history, and the different places we visited. Having him with us made the entire trip feel easy, comfortable, and much more meaningful.

We also really appreciated how Hassan and Ismail handled an unexpected issue we had with our hotel in Fes. As soon as we let them know there was a problem, they were incredibly responsive and helped us find and book another accommodation. They made what could have been a stressful situation feel easy and taken care of, which really showed us the level of service they provide.

All of the local guides arranged for us were excellent as well. They were knowledgeable, engaging, and gave us a much deeper appreciation for each city and region.

The accommodations throughout the trip were beautiful and exceeded our expectations. Everything was well organized, and we felt very well taken care of from start to finish.

Overall, we had an incredible time in Morocco and came home with so many wonderful memories. We would absolutely recommend Under the Moroccan Sun, and especially Ismail, to anyone planning a trip to Morocco!

Our family group of 7, spanning 3 generations had a fabulous trip experience in Morocco. Starting with the wonderful welcome by our driver Rachid in Marrakech . We loved our early morning ballooning experience as the sun rose over the Atlas Mountains. To the Berber village hiking experiences in Imlil.
The Agafay desert experience on ATVs & Camels as the sunset followed by as wonderful banquet and local entertainment. We conclude our adventures in Essouria relaxing on the coast and exploring the old city & Souks, thank you Said for the itinerary and flexibility. It was a memorable holiday with treasured memories. 2nd time we have used Kimkim to plan our adventures , they lived up to all our expectations. Our Morocco trip was an amazing experience overall! The hotels were generally good, and the excursions were absolutely incredible. We got to see so much of Morocco and learn about its beautiful history and culture.
A special shout-out to Samir, our driver, who was truly amazing. He made sure we were safe throughout the trip, was professional and friendly, and provided us with so much interesting historical information about Morocco. He really went above and beyond to make our journey enjoyable.
Thank you also to Said for being so accommodating when we needed to make changes to our itinerary. His flexibility and willingness to work with us were greatly appreciated.
The one major disappointment was Hotel Le Medina Essaouira. In my opinion, it is absolutely not a luxury hotel and did not meet the standard we expected. The experience was so disappointing that I had to pay for another hotel because the accommodations were unacceptable.
Overall, Morocco was a beautiful destination with amazing excursions, wonderful experiences, and great people. I would definitely recommend the trip, but I would strongly suggest choosing a different hotel in Essaouira.

What an amazing experience it was to stay in the desert! This hotel was truly wonderful, with delicious food, beautiful surroundings, and outstanding staff who made our stay even more special. The outdoor space was absolutely magical and created such a unique atmosphere. Most importantly, the live music during dinner was incredible. Unfortunately, this was not my favorite hotel experience. The hotel did not feel like a luxury property, and there were several issues that made the stay disappointing. There was loud construction noise outside, which made it difficult to relax. I also had to wait a long time for my room to be ready, and when I finally arrived, the room was still being cleaned. Unfortunately, the room was not fully stocked with the necessary items either. The food was also not very impressive and did not meet my expectations. The room was very stuffy and smelly. Overall, I expected a much higher level of service and comfort from a hotel presented as a luxury property. There is definitely room for improvement.

We had an incredible experience with Under Moroccan Sun. Maryem did an outstanding job planning our trip, providing thoughtful recommendations, and was incredibly responsive throughout the entire planning process.

Our driver and guide for the week, Ismeal, took great care of us. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and helped make the long drives enjoyable by sharing information about Morocco's history, culture, and daily life. One thing we especially appreciated was the flexibility of the itinerary. If we were feeling tired or wanted to adjust our plans for the day, they were always happy to accommodate us.

The accommodations Maryem selected were exceptional. Rather than large chain hotels, we stayed in beautiful boutique riads and guesthouses that gave us a much more intimate and authentic experience of Morocco. Some of our favorite memories included our camel trek into the Sahara Desert and the opportunity to meet local families, especially our stay at Dar Rihana in the Dades Valley, which was truly unforgettable.

The local guides in each city were also friendly, knowledgeable, and added so much context to the places we visited.

We would highly recommend Maryem and Under Moroccan Sun to anyone planning a trip to Morocco. Their attention to detail, flexibility, and focus on authentic experiences made this one of the best trips we've ever taken.

Dar Rihana was one of our favorite stays in Morocco. This beautiful boutique hotel in the Dades Valley strikes the perfect balance between comfort, thoughtful design, and warm hospitality. Our room was beautifully decorated, incredibly comfortable, and had some of the nicest amenities we experienced during our trip. As someone who sleeps with a body pillow at home, I was amazed to find one waiting in the room. It's the only hotel I've ever stayed in that had one, and it was such a thoughtful touch that made me feel right at home. The bathroom was also excellent, with a spacious shower and modern amenities. The pool area is peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring the valley. What truly makes Dar Rihana special is the people. Mohammed, who manages the property, made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and always happy to help with anything we needed - even swimming lessons! We also enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the hotel, and they were excellent. After a week of traditional Moroccan cuisine, the French-inspired dinner was a delicious change of pace. If you're visiting the Dades Valley, I can't recommend Dar Rihana enough. It feels personal, relaxing, and genuinely welcoming. We would happily stay here again.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Luxury Oasis Camp, though it ended up being one of our less memorable accommodations during our trip through Morocco. The camp itself is beautiful, and the tents are comfortable and well-appointed. Our favorite part of the experience was, without question, the camel trek into the Sahara. Mohammed, who led our camel ride, was incredibly friendly and made the experience so much fun. Riding camels through the dunes at sunset was one of the absolute highlights of our trip and is something we'll never forget. The hospitality at the camp itself felt a bit less personal than what we experienced elsewhere in Morocco. It's possible this was because we visited during the peak summer season, but the service didn't have the same warm, attentive feel that we had become accustomed to throughout the rest of our travels. One thing that surprised us was how close the camp is to several other desert camps. We had imagined being more isolated among the dunes, though that may simply be the reality of many desert camp experiences rather than something unique to this property. Despite those points, we're very glad we included a Sahara camp in our itinerary. If you're considering the experience, we'd absolutely recommend it for the camel ride alone, it was unforgettable.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. He also prepared us an amazing lunch that ended up being one of the best meals we had during our entire trip to Morocco. The room itself was quirky, charming, and full of character. It felt like the kind of place that makes traveling memorable—unique, authentic, and unlike any standard hotel experience. If you're looking for somewhere with personality rather than a luxury resort, this is exactly that. The only minor drawback was that the shower was a bit rustic and could use some updating. It wasn't a problem for our one-night stay, but if you're planning to stay several nights and prioritize modern amenities, it's something to keep in mind. Fes walking guided tour : No drive

We had a great experience on our walking tour of Fes. It was definitely a full day with a lot of walking, but our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and happy to tailor the tour to what we were most interested in seeing. One thing we really wanted to do was shop at the famous tanneries, and he made sure we had plenty of time there. He was flexible throughout the day and adjusted the itinerary based on our interests rather than rushing us from stop to stop. One of our favorite moments wasn't actually a planned stop. We took a break in the shade at the Nejjarine Museum of Wooden Arts & Crafts, and ended up sitting and talking with our guide for quite a while. He shared his story of growing up in Morocco, getting an education, moving to Fes, meeting his wife, and what dating and courtship are like in Moroccan culture. It was such an interesting conversation and gave us a glimpse into modern life in Morocco that we wouldn't have gotten otherwise. Like many tours in Fes, there were several stops at artisan workshops where we could watch skilled craftspeople making leather goods, pottery, weaving, and other traditional products before having the opportunity to shop. As someone who enjoys making things by hand, I genuinely appreciated seeing the craftsmanship that goes into these products. By the end of the day we were definitely ready for a break, but that's more a reflection of how much we packed into one day than anything else. Overall, it was an excellent introduction to Fes, and we left with a much deeper appreciation for the city's history, artisans, and culture.

The camel trek through the Sahara was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Morocco. We weren't sure what to expect beforehand, but it ended up being an experience we'll remember for the rest of our lives. Our guide, Mohammed, was incredibly friendly and made the ride fun from start to finish. He clearly cared about the camels and took his time making sure everyone was comfortable. He was also happy to help us take photos along the way, which meant we came home with some amazing memories. Watching the landscape change as we rode through the dunes was unforgettable. It felt peaceful, surreal, and unlike anything we've ever experienced. If you're visiting Merzouga, I highly recommend adding a camel trek to your itinerary. It's such a unique way to experience the Sahara, and it ended up being one of our favorite memories from Morocco.

I absolutely loved my experience at this hammam. It felt luxurious from start to finish, and the space itself is beautiful. The decor and design really add to the whole experience. This was my first hammam, and the staff did a great job explaining everything and making me feel comfortable. As an American, being fully nude for this type of experience was definitely new to me, but everyone was very professional and made the whole process feel completely natural and relaxing. The massage was also excellent. I am a total baby when it comes to deep pressure, and the massage here was perfect for me. It was relaxing and effective without ever feeling too aggressive. This was definitely one of the highlights of my time in Morocco and an experience I would highly recommend!

Our driver Oussama was with us for the whole 7 day tour. Always on time, always polite, respectful, courteous, helpful & great driver. Oussama was our steady rock, full of great info in between all the different guides we had. We’re sure Oussama would be a great guide himself given the chance.
In Marrakech we had Ashraf as our guide & he set a bar so high that our other guides couldn’t reach. Sharif in Fes was also excellent & knows & loves his town so well. Abdul in Chefchaouen was difficult to understand & just wanted to take photos of us but knows his town. Tangier was self guided so those guides were also great 😅.
Planning by Kimkim needs to be tighter & itinerary followed. If there are changes they should be advised to clients asap.
Cave of Hercules is a tourist trap & shouldn’t be included unless requested.
Open air/zero sun protection sites like Volubilis in summer should be visited outside the peak heat of the day.
All in all a tremendous experience that we will remember forever.

We are a family of four (two adults and a teenage boy and girl) and all of us had an amazing time during our stay in Morocco, thanks to the thoughtful itinerary Maryem put together and everyone involved in making us feel so welcome. Ismail, our driver, deserves special mention: he made us feel safe on every journey, shared wonderful insights along the way, and was always thoughtful about the family's comfort, whether making quick stops or offering guidance on the best places to eat and shop.

One of the highlights of the trip was our cooking class. The preparation was outstanding, the family who hosted us was so welcoming, the food was delicious, and the dining room setting was stunning. We spent a beautiful afternoon sharing stories and learning together over a wonderful meal.

Our camping stay in the Agafay desert was stunning and exactly the right change of pace after a couple of lively days in Marrakech. And our time in Essaouira offered a perfect retreat of sea, sand, and culture at a more relaxed rhythm. Ismail's recommendations there were excellent, and we loved strolling along the beach each evening on our way back to the Riad.

The accommodations Maryem selected were wonderful — beautiful, clean, and perfectly sized for the whole family. Breakfast at every hotel and Riad was delicious and the perfect start to each day.

In short, our five days in Morocco were truly unforgettable. The locations, accommodations, activities, and people who made it all possible were absolute top class, and I'd highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to this incredible part of the world.

I'll definitely trust Kim Kim again for future travels — whether back to Morocco or elsewhere. Thank you!

Matyem planned the trip through and through it was very last minute and I made continuous last minute changes that she worked around. The driver hamza was great and very fast when we contacted him. We got a great experience of the Morocco culture and went many places in a short period of time. I highly recommend booking with maryem if you plan on traveling to Morocco

What an amazing trip, all made possible by the Kimkim team, starting with Hamza who helped organise the trip. He was very flexible with our choices of itinerary stops and hotel selections. We looked at several other tour companies before deciding on KimKim, due to flexibility , range of options and price point, which gave great value without compromising on quality.
We did a 9 day trip, that started in Casablanca and included Rabat, Fez, the desert, Ouarzazate and Marrakech. Everything went so smoothly.
Our driver, Reda, who was with us for the whole trip, was unbelievably kind, helpful and entertaining. Even after driving all day, he was happy to drive us to dinner when asked. He was the icing on the cake for the trip.
The individual tour guides in each city were very good. The hotels were of high quality, in particular our Riad in Fez (Karawan Riad), Anamar Hotel in Ouarzazate and Les Jardin de la Koutoubia in Marrakesh.
The only critique we have is that the desert camp (Saraha Sky Luxury Camp) didn't quite match it's luxury description. The staff there were very nice but a little young and "green". Our camel ride in was spectacular.
If planning a trip to Morocco, would strongly recommend Kimkim as your tour organiser.

Kim Kim planned our Morocco trip after we didn't have the time to arrange it ourselves this year — our first time booking with them and our first private tour. Really glad we did.

From the start, Yassine was on top of everything — fast replies, patient with our questions, and sent over a clear day-by-day PDF itinerary with contact numbers for the whole trip. Took a lot of the guesswork out of it before we even landed.

Our driver Hicham made the trip. Always on time, always available, easygoing and just a genuinely good guy. We were in a spacious, air-conditioned Mercedes Vito, which was a lifesaver given how hot it got — no scrambling for taxis, no logistics to think about. Having a private driver the whole way is something we'd never done before and honestly it's spoiled us for future trips. Big thanks to Hicham.

We covered Casablanca (Hassan II Mosque), then two days in Fez with a Medina tour led by Fatima Zahra — really insightful. On the drive to Marrakesh, we asked if we could swing by Rabat even though it wasn't part of the original plan, and our driver made it happen — got a few hours there we weren't expecting, which turned out to be a highlight. Finished with two days in Marrakesh: a food tour with Hatem (great local history and context), a full walking tour of the city despite the heat, and a relaxing hammam session to close things out.

No stress, nothing to plan, everything just worked. My wife's first time in Morocco and she loved it. We'll be booking with Kim Kim Tours again.
