Just got back from an amazing trip to Morocco. Hakim did great job with the itinerary and picked hotels that were amazing. We really enjoyed our driver, Adil, who was with us for the 10 days. The guides were also fantastic. Especially Abdul in Rabat and the food tour with Hynan in Marrakech. For the food tour, go hungry. As Hynan said, it’s not a tasting tour, it’s an eating tour.

It was all such a great experience. I will definitely be using KimKim again.

We just completed an incredible trip through Morocco organized by Hassan and his company, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

From the very beginning, Hassan was responsive, thoughtful, flexible, and genuinely interested in tailoring the trip to what Kate and I wanted. He listened carefully to our interests, answered countless questions, made adjustments when requested, and created an itinerary that struck a perfect balance between comfort, authenticity, adventure, and relaxation. He was very patient as we went through the process of creating our itinerary which involved tweaking here and there.

The accommodations throughout the trip were outstanding and each had its own unique character. The riads in Fes and Marrakech were beautiful, intimate, and full of personality, while our stay in Merzouga and the luxury desert camp in the Sahara were unforgettable. Riding camels into the dunes at sunset and spending the night in the desert beneath the stars was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The tents themselves were remarkably comfortable and far beyond anything we expected.

A huge part of what made the trip so special was our local guide, driver and on-the-ground host, Hamid, who was with us throughout the journey. Hamid was wonderful — friendly, funny, outgoing, and knowledgeable. His English was excellent, he always made us feel comfortable, and he seamlessly coordinated everything with the local guides and experiences Hassan arranged along the way. Whether navigating the medinas in Fes and Marrakech, the long drive through the Atlas Mountains, and the remote desert villages we went through, he handled everything for us..

What made this trip stand apart was that we truly felt we were experiencing the real Morocco through the lens of both Hassan and Hamid. The trip felt deeply authentic and personal in a way that would have been almost impossible to replicate on our own. We visited places, met people, and had experiences we never would have discovered independently.

While budget was never our primary concern, we were honestly astonished by the value provided relative to the quality of the accommodations, logistics, guides, transportation, and overall experience. Having every detail thoughtfully coordinated removed all stress from the trip and allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in Morocco and its culture.

This was one of the most memorable trips we have ever taken, and much of that is thanks to Hassan and Hamid.

We had an excellent trip.
We were very lucky with the weather during the first two weeks of May — it was perfect for sightseeing.
Tayeb was a wonderful driver: thoughtful, punctual, accommodating, and fluent in English.
The itinerary was excellent and allowed us to experience the country’s diversity — from vibrant cities, to the High Mountains, to the desert, and finally the sea.
Although we very much enjoyed staying in the riads, it was lovely to end our trip in Essaouira at an international hotel with all the amenities and right beside the ocean.

Highlights
• The blue city of Chefchaouen, including our walk to the Spanish Mosque
• Volubilis — a fascinating historical site
• Merzouga — sleeping in a tent under the stars and the camel ride
• Boumalne Dades and the wonderful Todra Gorge
• Being lucky enough to experience the Rose Festival and see the rose fields in bloom
• Marrakesh, We thoroughly enjoyed the Majorelle Gardens (though we would also have enjoyed visiting other exhibits), the balloon ride and the excellent cooking class

Upon arriving in Casablanca, I would recommend touring Hassan II mosque and driving immediately to Rabat.
General Comments
Casablanca – Barcelo Casablanca. The city is very noisy. Recommend room on upper floor near the back of the building.
Rabat – Riad Kalaaz We had a wonderful breakfast. The room was a split level with the stairs going down very close to the entrance door. They should have railings for safety.
Enjoyed seaside lunch at Asilah
Tangier – Palais Zohia . Excellent location. Beautiful inner courtyards. Room is a little small. Enjoyed medina . Good local guide. He recommended excellent restaurant for supper.
Chefchaoeun – Taj Chefchaoeun Very nice hotel. Lots of stairs to reach hotel. Very good guide who recommended many excellent spots for photos. We enjoyed the walk our guide recommended to the Spanish mosque at sunset.
Volubilis thoroughly enjoyed walking through the Roman ruins,
Fes - Riad El Amine Fes – Lovely room. Great roof top restaurant. Beautiful courtyard.
Guide was good and necessary as the Medina is large and very confusing to navigate.
Merzouga - Tiziri Luxery camp. Loved sleeping in the tent and riding the camel.
Boumaine Dadas -Dar Rihana Dades Lovely hotel. (Towels were a little hard). Excellent food!
Marrakesh - Riad Atrium and Spa. The courtyard was very nice. The room was good but the rug inside the room was very worn. We thoroughly enjoyed the Majorelle Garden. The food tour was excellent. (I think his name was Souheil) We very much enjoyed the Mechoui and Tangia. The Balloon ride and cooking classes in Marrakesh were amazing.
In general the internet reception was not very good.

This was our favorite place that we stayed and we wish we had spent more time there. The entire Riad, from the lobby, dining room, rooftop and rooms was gorgeous. Dinner in front of the fire and breakfast the next morning were two of the best meals of the entire trip. The location within the Medina was quiet, but close to shopping and the seafront.

The location of this Riad can't be beat. It is in the Medina, but near the exit so that you can get in and out easily. The inside has been beautifully renovated. There is lots of comfortable seating on the rooftop and you could choose to have breakfast up there or downstairs.

The Riad was amazingly managed by Osama who served as porter for our luggage, as well as cook and server. He takes such pride in what he does and is a real asset.

We arrived at the Camp on camels at sunset, which was both beautiful and hilarious! The tents were very nice and clean, and once the A/C came on after dinner, we were very comfortable. The food was average, but service was fine. They had entertainment around the campfire at night. We were too tired to participate but it sounded like all of the other guests were having a great time. We loved our adventurous truck ride out of the desert in the morning!

We had a lovely stay at Riad Farouzi Fes. Ibraham and Sabir went above and beyond to make our stay incredible. The amount of food at breakfast was over the top! There were eggs, pastries, fruit, fresh juice and coffee. When we got back from our tour in the afternoon they served us tea and cookies on the rooftop terrace. They always made sure we knew where we were going, and escorted us themselves when available.

We opted to visit the Hassan II Mosque instead of Volubilis. We spent our time on the ride to Fes getting to know Omar and asking tons of questions about the country. We got a laugh seeing livestock being transported on top of a truck!

Dades Valley to Marrakech via Ait Ben Haddou

Morocco

We stopped briefly in Ouarzazate and took a look at the Taourirt Kasbah. Our next stop was Aït Benhaddou, and Omar took us on a nice walk through the ancient, but still inhabited, hillside village. We walked all the way to the top, to the ancient "bank" building (which, unfortunately was badly damaged in the September 2023 earthquake). The view down across the village and the valley beyond was breathtaking. On the way to Marrakech we traversed the Atlas Mountains along the Tizi n'Tichka Path. We stopped at the top to take in the beautiful views.

Day with the Locals in the Valley of Roses

This was our favorite day of the trip! We started the day with Sharon's husband, Abdou, at a local rose farm and had an opportunity to pick roses with the locals and learn a little bit about how much this crop means to the area. We then went to the local market to choose vegetables that we took to the home of a local family. We spent the afternoon getting to know the family and how they live, and spent time with them in the kitchen watching them cook a traditional Couscous using the vegetables that we brought with us. A neighbor came over and gave all of us henna tattoos. We left this visit on such a high! On the way back to the Riad we had a chance to shop for some local rose products.

Merzouga to Dades Valley Via Todgha Gorge

After a stunning sunrise and breakfast we had a fun ride slaloming the dunes on a 4 x 4 ride from the tent camp, we were reunited with Omar. Our stop to see the ancient irrigation tunnels was very informative and impressive. We had a private guide give us a tour of the Tinghir Palmeraie. It was amazing to see all of the fruits, vegetables and grains that grow in the Oasis behind the homes. Our guide, Zak, treated us to a visit with his father’s “first” wife’s residence in the new part of the village. We also visited a Berber rug cooperative to see the rugs are made and we had a chance to purchase rugs too. Finally, we took a ride through the Todgha Gorge, a natural wonder. It was a holiday so it was very crowded, but we liked seeing the locals spending time with their families swimming in the river.

Fes to Merzouga via Ifraine and Azrou - Camel Trek to Desert Camp

This was our longest day of travel in the van, and we needed to arrive in the desert by a certain time in order to be on the camel ride to the camp during sunset. The day was rushed because of this. We would have liked spending a little more time in Ifrane and with the Barbary Macaques along the way.

Omar and Abdul met us first thing in the morning at our Riad and escorted us to the van for a driving tour around the perimeter of Fez which gave us an overview of the city. We walked and learned how the Mellah-Jewish Quarter with exterior balconies differed from those of the Muslim Arabs. The ceramic co op provided an interesting insight into how the mosaics were made from the reverse side. The tannery was smelly as expected but it was interesting to learn how leather is processed. Abdul left us at a delicious and peaceful restaurant in the heart of the Medina while he went to pray.

This was a last minute addition to our trip. We heard from others that had visited Morocco that we should not miss the Hassan II mosque in Casablanca. Sharon was able to adjust our trip and get us set up with a tour fairly last minute. We are so pleased that we were able to tour this stunning mosque.

We visited this site right after landing in Morocco. We found Omar easily, and after a long trip from the States he stopped and got us some delicious coffees on the way to the mosque. He also took us to a great restaurant for our first meal.

Our trip was wonderful! We had such an amazing time. The locations we stayed, the cities we visited, and the people we met were nothing short of fantastic. All of our local guides were so informed and our driver, Ali, was so great! He helped us pick up some local lingo which was so fun practicing as we traveled. We didn't realize how quick the time would go by with how many cities we went to and how many day trip guides we scheduled. If we were to change anything it would be to help slow down the day to day activities to feel like we had more downtime to enjoy the places we were staying. Overall, I fell in love with Morocco on this trip and will be returning to explore even more :) thank you, Khawla, for being a great local specialist!

We had an amazing time in Marrakesh. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the friendly face of Khalid, our driver-guide for the 4 days we were there. He’s responsive, helpful, friendly, informative, and very proud of his country. We really enjoyed being with him. Hamid was our guide for a food tour and cultural tour of Marrakech. He was super knowledgeable about the history and sites, and he brought us to great restaurants and shops. Hassan was our guide for the trek in the Atlas Mountains. He was very patient with us when we decided to change out the schedule for the day. This was our first time using Kim Kim, and I would go back to them in the future for other destinations.

The hike was a bit more difficult than we expected, especially due to the altitude and the sun, so we didn’t meet and eat with a family. We had lunch at a restaurant by the side of a waterfall that was clearly under construction. I would suggest more info about the conditions for the hike and wonder if there is an option for a driving tour of mountain villages with the option to meet and eat with a family.

Highly suggest that this activity be planned in the morning, not in the late afternoon. It was very crowded and difficult to enjoy the Garden. I was also hoping that we would have a guide for this activity to explain the history of the garden and Yves St Laurent’s connection. I was not able to get a photo of the house.

My holiday in Morocco was wonderful! The organising of the trip through Kim Kim was very efficient. Majid was very prompt to respond to any questions and in a friendly manner. The accommodation was of very good quality, and the local guides were excellent with their knowledge. A highlight of the trip was sharing a meal with a local family in Fez. Special mention needs to be made of our tour driver, Abdul. Abdul was such a joy and was always accommodating to our needs throughout the trip. He always had a smile and was always willing to help. I very much enjoyed learning and living Morocco!

We had 10 days to travel and Majid worked carefully with us in designing and modifying a trip which met our more relaxed travel style. Our trip took us to Northern Morocco - Chefchaouen, Fes, Rabat, Asilah and Tangier. Majid was available at all times and made adjustments to our itinerary when requested. Our accommodations were all beautiful and the guides he supplied knowledgeable and engaging.

Our leisure time was spent touring museums in each destination (all a must visit) : Mohammed VI Museum of Modern & Contemporary Art - Rabat; Dar Batha Museum of Islamic Arts - Fes; and the Tangier American Legation Museum.

And our driver for 10 days, Youssef was the best - he knew about our destinations, was always available and made suggested changes to our itinerary along the way. Best of all, he treated us as his best friends and we shared family moments together. Overall, we had a great experience and plan to return to visit Southern Morocco.

Our "local specialist" was Said and our driver/guide was Faisal. Organization and trip details were wonderful...almost everything went without a hitch. Riads and hotels were very good (asked for moderate priced) to excellent. Our driver/guide was superb...personable, knowledgeable, and thorough. He attended to every detail and, even when he passed us off to local guides, always checked in to be sure that everything was going well.
Inevitably, there were long car rides, and Faisal broke them up with interesting stops that highlighted local history and commerce. We had local guides in several cities, and in the aggregate, they were excellent.

Our ladies trip to Morocco for 12 days was spectacular. Our driver Abdul was the ultimate gentleman and his warmth, genuine care, fun attitude and driving skills ensured an amazing experience in a beautiful country. Abdul accommodated changes in our plan and was always there for us when needed. The van was extremely comfortable and clean and suited our ladies group of six. Abdul became our friend and trusted ally during our trip. He was always so happy to see us and demonstrated his professionalism throughout the trip. Abdul’s care for us is something I will always remember. Our Riads were beautiful and we visited Rabat, Meknes, Chefchaouen, Fez, Marrakech, Imlil, Essouira and Casablanca. It was an amazing trip and by having Abdul as our driver made it even more special.

We booked a twin room. It came with a queen bed and lounge which was used as the 2nd bed. Not much space on the lounge. Noisy location ( can hear what’s going on outside and inside the Riad) the walls aren’t that thick it seems. The staff wonderful. The breakfast not as good as others. The location of this property is stunning scenically though it takes 30 minutes of walking on a dirt/ rocky road to get there. It’s an ideal property for those who are fit and go to imlil for trekking up the mountain. It’s definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Unfortunately this Riad wasn’t suitable for our group. Donkeys/Mules are require to transfer your luggage. The food here was hearty and delicious.

We expected to be cooking food with the family. The itinerary stated that we would be going to the market with the family, selecting food to cook then learning and participating in cooking the food. This didn’t happen. We arrived and were given food by the family and the family joined us in eating it. It wasn’t a cooking class. We enjoyed spending time with this family and had some amazing food though it was very dissapointing that it wasn’t a cooking class as was booked.

I spent the last two weeks on tour in Morocco with 5 female friends, visiting the main sights (minus the Sahara desert). Our driver Abdul was amazing - kind, courteous, funny and he always had a huge smile on his face - it was a delight to see him every day. We felt very safe and cared for on our tour and communication was good. We had some confusion with a hotel booking but it was quickly rectified. Abdul also went out of his way to take one of us for medical treatment when needed. The organiser, Majid, kept us up to date and communicated well. As for Morocco - I cannot recommend seeing this stunning country enough - the people are so very kind, caring and only want the best for anyone visiting. The food was always delicious and fresh. The shopping was fun and exciting. The landscapes are beautiful and varied from the commanding Atlas Mountains to the sunny shores of Casablanca to the narrow, blue lane ways of Chefchaoun. I will never forget my trip to Morocco and I will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely loved our 12 days in Morroco with our fantastic driver Abdul. Each local tour guide was amazing. The helpful, thoughtful and friendly Raid staff in each accommodation were amazing. Really enjoyed the communication with Adbul & his easy going nature. There was a few hiccups with the organizer of the tour so I can suggest dealing direct with your driver for any restaurant/activity you have booked personally & to definitely be advised with any changes of accommodation from the tour operator.

Our recent trip to Morocco was everything we had hoped for and more. Karim was our driver/guide and he is a major asset to your company. He personalized our wishes and customized our experiences for a wonderful vacation. His life story was eye-opening and gave us a better understanding of the country and its people. We loved our accommodations and shopping events - coming home with way more stuff than we intended. Just one caution - maybe if you're almost 80 you should skip the camel ride.

My organized trip through KimKim went smoothly from start to finish. I reached out to several tour companies, but KimKim truly stood out, largely thanks to Imane. From the very beginning, she provided multiple Morocco tour options and responded promptly to every question I had. I was very happy with her pricing, which was more competitive than many other companies while still offering the same experiences and inclusions. Any time I wanted to make a change, Imane was quick to adjust the itinerary and sent updated plans, often daily until our trip was absolutely perfect. Her attentiveness and flexibility made the planning process effortless and enjoyable. We spent 13 days traveling throughout Morocco with a private driver, stopping in Rabat, Chefchaouen, Fes, Merzouga, Boumalne Dades, Marrakesh, and Casablanca. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our driver, Ilyace. Over the course of the trip, he became a dear friend, and it was genuinely hard to part ways at the end. Ilyace was fun, funny, informative, kind, and always ready to help with whatever we needed. His 12 years of experience truly showed in his deep knowledge of the country, roads, customs, and culture. He recommended incredible local places to eat that we never would have chosen on our own, which made the trip feel even more unique and special. I will absolutely be using KimKim again for future travels and am so glad I came across them during my Google search.

We stayed here on our final night before departing. The hotel was beautiful, and the room was spacious and very accommodating. I especially loved the large bathtub, which was a wonderful treat after a two‑week trip. We spent our last day relaxing by the pool after touring the incredible mosque, which was a perfect way to unwind. While the pool service could have been a bit quicker and our dining experience at the outdoor restaurant was average, the stay overall was comfortable and a nice way to end our journey.

I wish I could remember the name of the manager who was so kind, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, he truly made breakfasts and dinners feel special. Every member of the staff was fantastic, and the meals were absolutely amazing. I especially loved taking a few peaceful walks behind the hotel along the river. Seeing the locals tending to their gardens and graciously welcoming me as I strolled through was a truly memorable and authentic experience.

A Drive from Chefchaouen to Fes via Volubilis, Moulay Idriss & Meknes

Ilyace was hands down one of the highlights of my entire trip! Having a private driver for nearly two weeks was such a treat. From beginning to end, he was incredibly helpful, informative, fun, and genuinely engaging. His 12 years of experience really showed and made me feel completely at ease on the road. We experienced the trip of our dreams with our personalized itinerary intro to Morocco. We wanted about 30% medinas and souks in the former imperial cities, 30% oasis and smaller towns, 10% Sahara, and fill in the rest of our time with local expertise. Thanks to KimKim for customizing our trip. Super nice driver and verrrrrry comfortable vehicle made the road trips perfect. The lodgings were top tier and even the smaller local hosts were excellent with hospitality. We felt welcomed everywhere we went. Kimkim allowed us to experience all we planned, then also allowed for time to explore the things we did not expect. Special shout out to the private tour leaders, especially Hanin our Food Tour guide in Marrakesh.

The trip arranged by Majid was perfect for our 10 day trip to Morocco. It was the perfect mix of relaxing, activities and sight seeing where we felt like we saw the perfect mix of Morocco. All of our local guides were great and knowledgeable about the different cities. The riads were not only clean and safe but truly extraordinary. All of the staff were so hospitable, the rooms were so beautiful and the breakfast was amazing. Majid truly understood what we wanted and he delivered! He even surprised me and arranged a birthday cake to be delivered to our Riad. Majid was amazing to work with and was very open with communication. Thank you Majid! The true highlight of our trip was meeting our driver Hamza. He shared his beautiful culture and knowledge with us throughout the 10 days where we felt so connected to Morocco, even the parts that we didn’t get to see. Hamza made sure that we were always comfortable when stopping somewhere or eating somewhere. He made sure that we were safe when traveling and always kept us in the loop on where we were going. His friendship and kindness is something we will always cherish and are so thankful that he was our driver!

First the positives:
I loved using the KimKim travel planning chat and being able to include all travelers to ask questions and make changes. The itinerary and hotel options provided were wonderful and even when we didn't get our initial hotel requested, we had excellent 2nd choices. Ali and Said did an excellent job setting up the trip.
Our driver Maysaar was definitely a highlight of the trip for us. He was very friendly, super talkative when we asked him questions, but also quiet on long drives when we wanted to read a book or stare out the window. He was always available when we needed him for local rides to restaurants, and was really the main reason our trip went so smoothly. We considered him a friend by the end of the trip. I would highly recommend him to any of my travel friends.
The negatives:
The only negative experience we had was surrounding the few days to and from the Sahara (Merzouga, Erg Chebbi). We knew driving there would be a very long day, and it was. We expected 7-8 hours with stops, but it ended up being 10 hours. The drive from Merzouga to Ait Benhaddou was a bit worse. We expected a 6 hour drive, and it was also 10 hours (a 4 hour difference was quite large and more than expected). As a result, we weren't able to enjoy much of the hotel or area in Ait Benhaddou.
Overall, an excellent trip to Morocco and I would recommend it to others as well as recommending KimKim. I am planning to contact KimKim again for an upcoming trip.

Our trip to Morocco was the trip of a lifetime!
It was one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever experienced. Our local expert Majid was outstanding in helping us plan, he listened to our wishes and was extremely easy to work with. Once in Morocco, we were greeted by our driver Hamza. Hamza was amazing, so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about his country, the culture and the people. We felt extremely taken care of and saw so many things off the beaten path due to Hamzas knowledge.Hamza was so easy to work with, he was so kind and helpful. Hamza made sure we had everything we needed and that we were safe at all times. Every Riad and accommodation chosen by Majid were absolutely beautiful. The city/ onsite guides he arranged were very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
Majid kept checking in with us throughout our trip and was always available when we had a question. Majid even planned a surprise for my daughter’s 23rd birthday, by arranging for a birthday cake at our Riad in Marrakesh. There was not a single snag or any issues with anything during our trip. Working with local people was a wonderful experience, and it felt good supporting local businesses and people rather than big corporations. Morocco is a beautiful country with an amazing culture and amazing kind people. We can’t wait to go back and highly recommend Majid and Hamza! 🇲🇦❤️

We had a truly legendary trip to Morocco. Our driver Rachid was an amazing person. He took care of us like family and made sure we had a wonderful time. We spent two weeks and covered so many amazing areas of Morocco. It is hard to say which part was the best because it was all so beautiful. In each area we were helped to our accommodations and brought to guides who knew their specific area like a college professor. I highly recommend Kim Kim and Morocco Emersion.
