The trip was great. Driver, Illyace, was terrific. Guides were great. My only suggestion for improvement would be more proactive engagement with the local planner. While I had done some reading, I didn’t have a full grasp of options around various cities. For example, Ali might have asked what we liked best when we travel, museums, historical sights, food, outdoor experiences etc.. the plannner could then make suggestions of things to do in each city/region.

Outside of that suggestion for improved planning, out trip was great. No logistical problems and quality services provided.

Let's start with what Kimkim did wrong because it may help you. First, a little background - my wife and I are in our 50's and are likely two of the oldest digital nomads there are lol. In other words, we travel for 7 - 8 months per year while we run a small business remotely. We usually book our own tours / travel, but we have started to use Kimkim when we are too busy or need an expert. We booked a short tour with Kimkim (Ali) recently and in our opinion, Kimkim's only mistake was that they didn't fully prepare us for the beauty we actually experienced. I'm not kidding here - going into this short tour from Marrakech to the desert, all four of us expected (our daughter and mother-in-law came with us) that the tour would be nice, but it turned out to be superb. Ali's guidance and Said's booking was flawless and they were very responsive, Farid the driver was excellent, kind and understanding (he even welcomed us into his mother's home to break fast during Ramadan). As excellent as the Kimkim team was, the actual tour was fantastic - the beautiful landscapes we experienced on our way to the desert, the desert experience itself, the hotel selections, the food, the guide in the desert (Ibrahim) who drove us though the desert in his 4 x 4, it was all much better than we expected before we left Marrakech. The planning process was overall positive. We ultimately had three specialists due to staff transitions but the running dialogue was in tact so I think the continuity was preserved. I was new to the Kimkim process and would be a more effective communicator next time. When asked to provide feedback I wasn’t always sure what to say or what alternatives to consider.

Having Omar for the duration of our trip was extremely valuable - both in theory and in practice. I am contrasting that with our current time in Egypt where there have been handoffs. Of course, that only works with a skilled guide. Omar was open, a good listener and engaging. He found a great balance being personal and professional. He was open, educational without being overwhelming. We would welcome him in our home if he ever gets to the states. He even introduced us to his mother! He accommodated special requests.

Karim was a fantastic guide! We went as a group of five and he welcomed us with open arms from start to finish. We loved all of the experiences, especially being in the Sahara. Would recommend to everyone!

The trip to Marrakesh was amazing. The walking tour guide Mohamed was brilliant.
Our driver Soufiyan who took us around is a good driver.
Our hike in the Atlas mountain with Latifa was very enjoyable.
She helped me a lot over the rough patches and climbs and really took good care of us.

Hotel stays at Marrakech and Essaouira was perfect.
The desert camp was good but felt a bit rough around the edges as I believe it was a newer property.

We had the most amazing time in Morocco! Our driver Mohamed was very knowledgeable and brought us to so many amazing sites! He made sure we didn't miss anything and took such good care of us! He was extremely personable and had so many good tips for us. From the markets of Fes and Marrakech to the Sahara Desert, it was all incredible! Chefchaouen was also a gem. So quiet, peaceful, and the shades of blue were beautiful. We especially enjoyed our dinner with Rania and her family in Fes. It was such a special and personal experience. All of our local guides were very knowledgeable and made our days very interesting and unforgettable. Also, the food tour in Marrakech was such a good addition! I wish we had more time in Morocco! We miss it already!

This was one of the highlights of the trip! The cael ride was so beautiful and peaceful! The first half was sunny and amazing looking out at all the dunes. We then watched the sunset which was gorgeous. The second half with the sunset and then in the dark was really exciting getting to stargaze and see the beautiful moon!

Our trip to Morocco was fantastic thanks to Kim Kim! We had 3 kids ages 3-11 and were nervous about traveling with them but the whole experience was smooth, comfortable, exciting and fun! We loved Fez, Marrakesh and especially Essouria. Our driver Mustafa was so skilled, gracious and thoughtful. He did things like making sure that all of our rest stops during long drives playgrounds! The fantastic local guides were knowledgeable, flexible and made sure we spent our money in places that would be high quality and truly support the local people - for example we visited worker cooperatives to learn about everything from ceramics to aragan oil. They are so kind to children generally as a society in Morocco. It was beautiful to experience and made the trip that much easier and more welcoming. Kim Kim and the guides were also good about making some adjustments to the trip as we went along and adjusted to the reality of travel. For example we had over planned and not factored in a day of two for kids to just hang out and play at the pool!

Family Cooking Class at Amal Non-Profit Center: Cooking with Purpose in Marrakech

This was such a unique experience and great for the whole family. We learned how to make traditional Moroccan dishes like chicken and lamb tagine, as well as things like how to prepare a proper Moroccan mint tea, which is way more intricate than I had ever thought. It was wonderful to do this with a local non-profit supporting local young women.

My family had an incredible trip! Everyone we met and worked with was so friendly and knowledgeable. Henyn, our guide in Marrakech, kept our kids (7 and 9) engaged. We spent a night glamping in the Agafay mountains, which was a perfect reset for the kids. We got to see how a Berber family lives, ride camels and quad bikes, and even swim! Along the way, Hakim, our driver Khalid, and all our guides gave us helpful tips for navigating around.

This riad is absolutely gorgeous! We had 2 separate adjacent rooms (kids 7 and 9 stayed in a room together) and we enjoyed coming back to the riad to drink tea and play card games. The caretakers Nabil and Yousef clearly take pride in their riad. Yousef particularly was so good with the kids and we enjoyed playing card games together! We would definitely come back, and when the weather is warmer so we can swim in the pool! (It was cold in Feb)

One of our favorite highlights was staying at the Agafay Desert camp. It was stunning and completely unexpected — serene skies, camels at sunset, and sleeping in our hut under the stars. It felt magical and unlike anything we’ve ever done.

Our stay at Palais L’Heure Bleue was truly a lovely experience. The hotel is stunning — elegant, intimate, and beautifully authentic. It perfectly blends Moroccan charm with a subtle French refinement, creating such a unique and welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast buffet was superb, with wonderful variety and quality, and dinner in the restaurant felt elegant and special — a true dining experience. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and overall everything worked beautifully… except for the coffee machine, which gave us a bit of a morning challenge (lol!). But even that added a little character to the stay. All in all, it was a memorable and delightful place to stay, and we would happily return.

Alkanar Camp was an absolute blast and truly one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. They anticipated every need — bringing tea, coffee, and anything else to ensure we were comfortable and relaxed. The dinner was delicious, beautifully prepared, and enjoyed under the most stunning desert sky. The evening entertainment was lively and so much fun — such a special way to experience the atmosphere of the desert. And our hut? Absolutely adorable. Cozy, charming, and far more comfortable than we expected. Waking up there felt surreal. It was an unforgettable experience and one we’ll be talking about for a long time.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Palais Khum.The hotel itself is lovely, beautifully maintained, and very welcoming. The staff was warm, attentive, and consistently helpful throughout our visit. Our room was comfortable, well-appointed, and everything functioned perfectly — which always makes a stay feel seamless and relaxing. The only small hiccup was breakfast. It felt a bit chaotic at times and the selection was somewhat limited compared to the overall quality of the hotel. That said, it didn’t take away from an otherwise very pleasant experience. Also, one important thing. The hotel hotel is not properly placed on Google maps. We really got lost. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return.

What an unforgettable experience. Sleeping in the middle of the desert under brilliant blue skies and bright, sparkling stars felt truly magical. Our cozy hut was comfortable and thoughtfully prepared, making the whole adventure feel both authentic and relaxing. My husband and I especially loved the evening entertainment — we got such a kick out of it! The flamethrower performance was incredible, and the energy of the night made it even more special. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared. Most of all, we felt genuinely well cared for from start to finish. The staff made sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. It was a unique experience we will always remember. Highly recommend if you want something truly different and memorable while in Morocco.

The Medina in Marrakesh is wild, vibrant, and completely unforgettable. Mohamed guided us through the winding streets and souks on an incredible food tour that turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire trip to Morocco. We sampled a variety of authentic Moroccan dishes — from fresh street food to local specialties — and everything was delicious. What made it even better was knowing the food was freshly prepared and thoughtfully selected. I honestly think some of the bites we had that day were the best food I ate during our whole trip. Mohamed made the experience fun, safe, and meaningful. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Marrakesh.

Cooking Class La Maison Arabe Marrakech 10 AM session.

Our cooking class at La Maison Arabe was an absolute blast and one of the highlights of our time in Morocco. We learned how to make chicken tagine with a wonderful chef and an incredibly warm and gracious hostess/owner. It was truly the best cooking class I’ve ever taken. Each of us had our own workstation, and there was a television monitor so we could clearly watch the chef’s demonstrations step-by-step. Assistants were nearby to guide us and make sure everything turned out beautifully, which made the experience feel relaxed, organized, and fun. The space itself was lovely — modern and polished, yet still infused with a beautiful Moroccan vibe. It felt authentic without being overwhelming. Such a memorable morning filled with great food, learning, and laughter. Highly recommend to anyone visiting!

We had a short 5 days and a long wish list of ideas. Majid helped us narrow down the itinerary to get the most out of that time and he delivered more than we imagined. Every detail was thoughtfully considered from the locations to explore, unique and authentic stays, specific activity options and overall timing to ensure we did not overbook our time nor have unnecessary lulls. Our driver and guide, Youssef, was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. He kept us on schedule while also indulging our desire to be spontaneous in our explorations. His advice was always spot on. We HIGHLY recommend the KimKim team and will certainly work with them in the future.

We had such a wonderful experience in Morocco! The planning with Megan was both efficient and fun; she was super responsive and worked with me to design what turned out to be the perfect trip for us! Mohamed met us at our hotel and drove us all over the country for 9 days. He was fun, friendly and a very good driver even for this nervous passenger. The roads are crazy with sheep, donkeys, mudslides and motorbikes everywhere, but he did a great job navigating it all and explaining things along the way. The local guides were all terrific as well, and so were the hotels. We especially loved the desert camp and the riads in the cities. On the last day Mohamed took us to his Uncle’s house for lunch - we really enjoyed meeting them and seeing real Moroccan domestic life.

Like the Amazigh expression, that he is more like a brother than a friend, Ahmed was more than just a driver. He was a great travel companion! All of our local guides where top notch (Hishim, Hasania, Rashid). Our lunch at Said's, and visit in the apple orchard, were wonderful and we loved the cooking class with Nawal and Habiba. Sharon did a great job suggesting itineraries and listening to what we were interested in. I also appreciated doing the Zooms with her.

Amazing loop tour of Morocco. The country, it"s history, culture, tradition and the people just to name a few. Our Planner Nihad from Immersion Tour was spot on. I love all the incredible sites from the moment we landed in Casablanca, on around to Rabat, Chefchaouen Volubilis just to name a few. Our Tour manager Omar Doudi, was also great and hospitable enough to invite us to his home and prepared home cooked Tajine and Cuscous, I love spending a day in his village too, to see the local market, bakery and farms. The other guides were also very informative like Hshania in Rabat, Khlafa in Fes, Hicham in Marakkech, and the gentleman in Volubilis . We had a fantastic travel and time in Morocco. In summary, the tour was well planned, organized, have great Tour manager, and exdperienced knowledgeable guides. Without hesitation I recommend to anyone Immersion Tour if you are planning to see Morocco. Lastly before I go, our Camel ride in the Sahara desert was beyond my expectation. Day with the Locals in the Valley of Roses

This is fantastic, because this reminded me of my childhood living in village back in the Philippines. Going to the local butcher buying meat, to the market indoor and outdoor, bakery, the sound of people in the market, walking in the fields and of course the delicious home cooking by our tour manager (Omar's mother) at their home.

We had a wonderful experience in our 10 day trip from Marrakesh, to Agafay, Rabat, ending in Fes. The Riads were all enchanting, specially for its beauty the Elegance in Marrakesh and for its majestic arabic palacial environment and distinguished personnel the Hanel garden in Fes. The visits of the beautifull gardens, magnificent Medinas, Volubilis, learning the history and traditions, was a lifetime experience, all timely toured and nicely personalized . Most importantly, and what I would say provides most of the merit for a relatively high priced trip, was the extraordinary care, diligence, amability, and problema solving of our driver/host Ismael. We always felt very comfortable and safe and well taken care of with my wife, daughter and grandaughter throughout the 10 day visit/drive from city to city and within the city. Overall food menues specially in the desert glamping can be improved for a more luxurious experience (specially for 10 data were Food becomes rather repetitive)..but nevertheless we managed by searching for restaurants with great help from Ismael (as well as for shopping). The trip to the hills was interesting but excesively crowded during the short hike (this tour can be improved). These Small limitations, which we enjoyed anyways (the food and the trip to the Atlas hills/mountains), did not affect at all a great family experience in Marrocco; thank you very much.

This was our first trip to Morocco and the kimkim team and MOBT made it a huge success. Our planner, Yassine, tailored an itinerary that combined all of the best of what we were looking for. Yassine was also able to seamlessly modify our trip, first to add an extra member of our party, and then to change our city of departure to accommodate our best flight home. Our driver, Younes, was extremely knowledgeble, and helped us get around both Marrakesh and Casablanca. We were very glad to have a professional driver for the Marrakesh part of our visit. Ahmed and Mohammed, out tour guides were exceptional, and the food tour around Jemal el Fnaa and the waterfall and Berber village hike were lifelong memories. We were well prepared and got great advice and recommendations from the whole team throughout our trip. Thanks for everything!
