Nihad Hammi

I am Nihad, your travel specialist here in Morocco. As a Moroccan born and raised in Tinghir, I bring a unique perspective to my role as a travel specialist. My deep connection to the rich cultural tapestry of Morocco, especially Tinghir, allows me to weave authentic and immersive experiences into your travel plans.

My goal is to create immersive adventures full of cultural richness and unique moments just for you. I enjoy crafting detailed itinerary that ensure your travels aren't just trips, but transformative experiences and unforgettable journeys.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"From classic immersions to off-the-beaten-path adventures, we ensure each trip is a perfect blend of discovery and relaxation. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a nature lover, or a food connoisseur, we will customize your trip to meet your interests. Our trips include historical tours, cultural tours, hiking, trekking, cooking classes, local experiences, and much more! "

How did you get involved in travel?

"My journey into the tourism industry was inspired by my uncle, who worked in the same sector. Growing up, I was surrounded by tourists, fostering an early connection with the world of travel. After I got my baccalaureate, I decided to pursue my higher education in English studies. My eagerness to engage with native speakers and my childhood curiosity about other cultures only deepened my passion for tourism. "

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"My most unforgettable travel memory was when a friend asked me to be their tour guide to Boumalne Dades, a region not too far from my home in Tinghir. Surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes and watching travelers marvel at the beauty of the Dades Valley was a game-changer. Their joy and curiosity fueled my passion for tourism even more. It was a defining moment that I'll always cherish."

In a word, amazing! From our caring and funny driver, Mohammed (who still insists his chicken lemon tangine is the best),
to a variety of craftspeople, which caused credit card “exercise “ to commence and packing conundrums to deal with when leaving if shipping was not included.

Probably the best thing to say about KimKim, its employees and the Moroccan people in general is they want to help you to have the best time you are capable of.
Between airplane issues and my mobility challenges due to the seemingly unlimited stairs and high step up into the transport vehicle provided for the week in Morocco, everyone went beyond what was expected. Hotel rooms were altered, luggage was “handled”, a stool was purchased for the van, and dozens of other questions were answered. Guides altered itineraries due to “less stairs this way.”

I have traveled extensively. My ruler for the success of a trip and a travel agency is “ Would I return to this country using the same process?” The answer for Morocco and KimKim is “Undoubtedly.”

The location near the beach is nice but I recommend you walk a bit beyond the hotel for less crowds than there are immediately outside. The staff is respectful but not very attentive. The rooms facing the street are exposed to some noise. It was a nice landing location arriving in Casablanca but I would not stay more than 2 days.

Stunning choice in Chefchaouen and honestly in any location. The attention to detail in everything embraces you as you walk the stairs to a piece of heaven on the hillside. They worked with us prior to the trip and made sure we understood the landscape of Morocco and provided suggestions based on our preferences. Nihad was the one who curated our itinerary and was always available. Sharon also took the time to meet with me via Zoom so we can easily discuss our trip. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by our driver Rachid who was very pleasant and answered our questions and of course, a very skillful and safe driver. He coordinated with our Riad to meet us and help us with our luggages. Our Marrakech Medina Walking Tour Guide was Hassan and he was very knowledgeable and patient with our questions and waiting for us as we took time to take photos. We learned so much about the culture and the people. We had to switch drivers/guides the following day and it was Ahmed who took care of us the rest of the trip. He was a careful driver and with really good taste in music. We truly enjoyed his playlist. He truly acted like our concierge during our camel ride and dinner at Agafay desert as well as our dinner at La Boheme - a truly wonderful evening.
The rest of the trip was spent in Essaouira and Ahmed suggested places to eat and where to hang out for evening drinks. Afterwards, he really took care of us through our long drive to Casablanca for our return flight.
I also would like to mention Abderrahman who coordinated with us also as we transitioned between guides and drivers. Everyone was very accommodating and was always available for anything that we need. Highly recommended!

He was reliable, and excellent driver, and a lot of fun. We became part of his family and he part of ours. If you are planning a trip, I would ask for him.

The company's name summed up our experience: we felt that we were immersed in Morocco. In addition, to visiting some of the most common sites, we enjoyed our off-track journey through the Atlas Mountains, we enjoyed our cooking classes, which took us into individual's homes, and we loved having tea at Abdel's parents. Tom also enjoyed his hikes, and all but one of our guides were informative and personal. We learned a lot.

I should note that our trip was longer than most. We were there for 30 days, which gave us time to see the country a leisurely pace and to see the backroads.

Of all the places we stayed on our month-long trip to Morocco, this was my favorite. The owners did a fabulous job refurbishing the Kasbah: our room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and squeaky clean. In addition the Kasbah had beautiful public spaces, both inside the Kasbah and outside. Adding to the charm, were the donkeys that walked by in the early morning on their way to the fields. The best part of the Kasbah was the owner, Michelle, who was from the United States, and who could help me understand what it had been like to purchase and renovate the Kasbah and now to run it. We had several long chats over tea and, while my partner went hiking, she had one of the members of her staff teach me how to make msinenmen.

Thus, although the kasbah was fine, it was not anything special.

Not only was he highly professional and reliable, but his warm personality and deep knowledge of Moroccan culture and landscapes added immense value to our journey. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, informed, and engaged throughout the trip.

We were also impressed by the professionalism and thoroughness of all the local guides we encountered. Each one brought a unique perspective and helped us better understand the rich history and traditions of the region.

Among the many memorable experiences, we especially enjoyed the vibrant souks and a hands-on cooking class in the city—both offering a sensory feast and an authentic taste of Moroccan life. In contrast, the rural part of our trip offered breathtaking topography and charming village markets, giving us a chance to experience the country's natural beauty and slower pace of life.

Overall, this trip was a perfect blend of culture, cuisine, and scenery—made exceptional by the people who shared their knowledge and hospitality with us.

What made the stay even more special was the warmth and hospitality of our host, who was genuinely welcoming and eager to share the culture and history of the region. It felt less like a hotel stay and more like being a guest in a cherished family home. The guided tour in Taroudant was quite disappointing. We wanted to shorten the tour from two hours to one due to fatigue, but the guide insisted on following the complete itinerary. It was a little frustrating as we were really tired after a long day of travel and wanted to rest in our beautiful Riad.
