I am Nihad, your travel specialist here in Morocco. As a Moroccan born and raised in Tinghir, I bring a unique perspective to my role as a travel specialist. My deep connection to the rich cultural tapestry of Morocco, especially Tinghir, allows me to weave authentic and immersive experiences into your travel plans.

My goal is to create immersive adventures full of cultural richness and unique moments just for you. I enjoy crafting detailed itinerary that ensure your travels aren't just trips, but transformative experiences and unforgettable journeys.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"From classic immersions to off-the-beaten-path adventures, we ensure each trip is a perfect blend of discovery and relaxation. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a nature lover, or a food connoisseur, we will customize your trip to meet your interests. Our trips include historical tours, cultural tours, hiking, trekking, cooking classes, local experiences, and much more! "

How did you get involved in travel?

"My journey into the tourism industry was inspired by my uncle, who worked in the same sector. Growing up, I was surrounded by tourists, fostering an early connection with the world of travel. After I got my baccalaureate, I decided to pursue my higher education in English studies. My eagerness to engage with native speakers and my childhood curiosity about other cultures only deepened my passion for tourism. "

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"My most unforgettable travel memory was when a friend asked me to be their tour guide to Boumalne Dades, a region not too far from my home in Tinghir. Surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes and watching travelers marvel at the beauty of the Dades Valley was a game-changer. Their joy and curiosity fueled my passion for tourism even more. It was a defining moment that I'll always cherish."

We had a truly legendary trip to Morocco. Our driver Rachid was an amazing person. He took care of us like family and made sure we had a wonderful time. We spent two weeks and covered so many amazing areas of Morocco. It is hard to say which part was the best because it was all so beautiful. In each area we were helped to our accommodations and brought to guides who knew their specific area like a college professor. I highly recommend Kim Kim and Morocco Emersion.

The official tour guides- Hassania, Rachid ("other Rachid"), Hicham, and the others whose name I cannot recall, were friendly and knowledgeable. They, and the Moroccan people, in general, who are among the kindest , warmest people you will ever meet, provided context and meaning for this trip. Morocco is a beautiful country and in our 2-week stay, we were treated to an unexpected variety of geography. It was incredible how much the scenery changed from day to day, or even hour to hour- Cities, green farmland, what I like to refer to as "Arizona", snow-capped mountains, forests, oases, desert, ocean. You name it, we saw it! I know I was going to enjoy this trip immensely, but never in my dreams did I imagine how much I would love this country and these people. I certainly hope I am fortunate enough to return one day.

Sahara Stars Luxury Camp
Merzouga

Really liked this place, but it was not our favorite on this trip. The rooms were beautiful, but the restaurant was mid. Also, there were dogs that were barking all night, which interrupted our sleep. Not sure if they were a part of this camp or another, but it was annoying, all the same.

Location
Nestled in the peripheral dunes of the Sahara, the setting was magical.

They were very sweet, but it seemed like the place was run by 20-year-old boys who were way to young to have so much responsibility foisted upon them. They were diligent and kind, but I feel like they were a bit overwhelmed.

Super-cool spot in the medina, a short walk to the water. "Other" Rachid, our tour guide in Fez, was amazing. He was incredibly knowledgeable, and grew up in Fez, so it was like having the "mayor" give us a tour. Everywhere we stopped, he knew someone. I'm sure Rachid stayed with us considerably longer than he had planned, so we could get the entire day's tour completed.

Another great day driving, with many stops/ sight to see. The fossils collective in Erfoud had some amazing pieces of fossil art. We stopped at a roadside shop where we tried on native Amazigh clothing and took pictures in them. The family that owned the store was so warm and welcoming. They even let my husband lead a little jam session after he saw an electric guitar sitting in the store. The whole family got involved! Next was the tour of the old village if Tighir (excuse any misspelling). Our guide there was again, fantastic. After that, a stop at the women's rug collective, then an absolutely incredible (and huge) lunch. Next was the Gorge, which was a cool little trek. It was great to see all of the families picnicking alongside it.

I wasn't sure how to feel about this day, but I am so glad we had this opportunity. After that, we had a short tour of the area. Then we went to the family's house. There we were treated to a variety of local delights and a delicious meal. We also learned a bit more about the local culture. The family was wonderful- so kind and welcoming.

Quality of Experience
It was truly wonderful to spend some time with a local family.

This was another long day of driving. Fortunately, there were some stops to help break it up. Ait Ben Haddou was interesting, and had some beautiful views, but was kind of unremarkable. The rose cooperative was neat, but I imagined we'd see more fields of roses, considering we were there in peak season. We also made a quick stop at Atlas studios, but did not go in for the tour, it most mostly a chance to stretch our legs. Driving through the high Atlas mountains and seeing the geography change so completely again was great.

One night we walked to the new part of Marrakech and had a great time. We had some fantastic dinners in this city.

Lunch at the wharf was very casual. We thought it was going to be in a restaurant, but it turns out that you pick a spot, right nerar the water, select your seafood and have it cooked for you while you eat at picnic tables. It was a great experience, just not what we were expecting. Essaouira is more than fresh seafood. There are amazing sunsets from the beach, the medina is cute and manageable (but get most of your shopping done in Fez and Marrakech). Our favorite part was a bit serendipitous. We went for a late morning walk to the wharf, and just kept following it down to the end, and were able to watch the hustle and bustle of the fishing boats coming in and unloading their bounty. The controlled chaos was delightful to watch.

Quality of Experience
Loved to spend the end of the trip in a relaxing beach town.

Overall we were happy with the experiences we had on our trip. During the planning process, Nihad was receptive to my ideas and answered my questions. Our driver/tour manager Mo was very professional, punctual (other than when first picking us up from the airport, but that was because he was not provided the most up to date arrival time), and knowledgeable.

1. The hotel stays that Nihad booked us in were below our expectations. I suspect though, that there are not a lot of options for stays outside of Marrakesch. Each hotel was clean and staff were very hospitable and friendly, and so we very much appreciated those positive attributes. Many of the stays did not have basics such as shampoo or shower soap, including the "luxury desert camp" that we stayed in. Since we pack light, we don't travel with our own shampoo or soap, so not having it available in the hotel is a disappointment.

2. We did not find out until the end of the trip how extraordinarily expensive the taxi ride from the airport to our first hotel was. Nihad arranged a taxi ride (it ended up being our trip driver/trip manager) that would cost $50 USD. Well, at the end of the trip from the same area in the medina, we booked our ride through our hotel to the airport and it was only $20 USD. I eventually saw on social media afterwards that a reasonable price is 100 Dirhams (equivalent to $10 USD). Therefore, the $50 USD we were charged was exceptionally more expensive. If Nihad does not know this, please let her know so that future guests are not charged that much.

3. Our city tour/food tour with Hussein was a nice overview of the city, visiting a lot of the highlights of the city. The food part of the tour was not enjoyable, but understandably authentic. The last restaurant served us dirty utensils to eat with so that left us with a bad taste with regards to the food part of the trip. Hussein though was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would just suggest perhaps cleaner restaurant options if possible.

4. For tours driving to different cities, drive time estimates ahead of time would be nice (could just include that on the itinerary shared with the guest ahead of time) so we can be prepared.

5. Slightly disappointed we could not do the camel ride on the way back from our desert camp. According to the camp, we were supposed to have "reserved " it when we started the camel ride to the desert camp but we were never told that when we took that camel ride- it would have been nice to have known that up front.

Again, overall, it was a wonderful cultural experience. In retrospect knowing what I know now, I would probably book my own hotels and ask more questions before the trip. It's hard to know though when one has never been to a country to know what questions to ask.

Hisham in Marrakesh, Omar in Imlil, and Rasheed in Fes were all superb guides. I consider them teachers as well as guides.

When I travel, I want to learn about the country and the people. But, of course, one can learn only so much about a country in a little more than a week. Nevertheless, through their guidance, Nihad, Ayoub, and our local guides provided an experience that gave me a much better understanding of Morocco and Moroccans. I hope to return in the future.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for taking the time to share your experience!

It was truly a pleasure helping you plan your loop tour of Morocco, and I’m delighted to hear how much you enjoyed the country’s history, culture, traditions, and especially its people. I’m so happy that your journey from Casablanca through Rabat, Chefchaouen, Volubilis, Fes, and Marrakech was filled with memorable moments and incredible sites.
Omar will be thrilled to know that his hospitality, the home-cooked tajine and couscous, and your visit to his village made such an impression. I especially love that your time at Omar’s home brought back childhood memories of your village in the Philippines. Those personal connections and simple, everyday moments are exactly what we hope our guests will experience.

We’re also glad that our local guides — Hassania in Rabat, Khlafa in Fes, Hicham in Marrakech, and your guide in Volubilis — helped bring each destination to life with their knowledge and care. We’re also delighted that you enjoyed the accommodations, which are indeed part of the experience.

Your kind words about the planning, organization, and the entire team mean a great deal to us. And we’re especially happy that the camel ride in the Sahara Desert exceeded your expectations — it’s one of the most magical experiences Morocco has to offer.

Thank you again for your trust and your generosity in sharing this feedback.

And especially appreciated the seamless support in country from wonderful tour guides and staff in our various accommodations to our amazing driver, Mo. this was our second trip arranged by Kim Kim and we felt (again) that we were in capable good hands and the choices in accommodation and activities matched our expectations.

From the accommodations to the tours and unique experiences, everything was unforgettable and allowed us to experience Moroccan culture in a meaningful way.
We shared lunch with the Berbers, hiked the Atlas Mountains, explored the Agafay Desert by camel and quad bike, wandered through the souks of Marrakech, relaxed in a hammam, and enjoyed the most delicious tagine meal prepared in the home of a Moroccan chef.
Our guided tour of Marrakech with Hicham was incredibly informative, and we learned so much about the history of North Africa. Omar, our tour manager, treated us like family. We had an amazing time with him and gained an even deeper appreciation for Moroccan culture. Throughout the trip, we felt safe, well cared for, and truly welcomed—we already miss him.
I cannot recommend this group enough, and we will definitely be using their services again in the future.
