Ali Moujane
I grew up in a small village in the High Atlas, the kind of place where you know every family by the sound of their door and the mountains decide the rhythm of the day. My earliest memories of travel aren't airports, they're walking trails between villages with my family, bread from the communal oven in my bag and no plan except the next valley.
I've worked in Moroccan travel since 2015, but honestly, I was in training long before that. When you're born up here, you learn the country the slow way: which pass closes first when the snow comes, which grandmother in which village makes the best tagine, where the light lands in the Todra Gorge at four in the afternoon.
That's what I bring to the trips I design. Anyone can book you a riad and a driver. What I care about is the other layer: the mule track instead of the parking lot, the family lunch that wasn't in the plan, the pace that lets Morocco actually reach you. My favorite message from a traveler isn't "everything went smoothly," although it will. It's "we felt like we were visiting a friend's country." You are.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"The Atlas Mountains are home, so hiking, mountain biking and village life there are my deepest specialty. But I build complete journeys across all of Morocco: the Sahara and its camps, the coast, and the imperial cities. I have a particular soft spot for family trips, because children ask the best questions, and for travelers who want the real version of local life rather than the performance of it.
Every trip I design is custom. I've never sent the same itinerary twice, and I don't intend to start."
How did you get involved in travel?
"By walking out the front door, really. My first trip was with my family, deeper into the High Atlas than I'd ever been, and I remember realizing that even the country I was born in was mostly still unknown to me.
That feeling never left. For me travel works like meditation: mountains quiet my mind and sharpen my curiosity at the same time. Turning that into a profession wasn't a career decision, it was just the honest thing to do with how I'm built."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"Climbing Toubkal, North Africa's highest peak at 4,167 meters, when I was 18. My guide was my older brother, who is a professional mountain guide and had no intention of letting me quit. Somewhere above 4,000 meters, when my legs were done, it stopped being about the summit and became about trusting the person walking ahead of you. Then we reached the top, snow all around, half of Morocco below us, and I understood what I wanted to do with my life: be the person walking ahead, for someone else. That's still the job, every day."

I loved using the KimKim travel planning chat and being able to include all travelers to ask questions and make changes. The itinerary and hotel options provided were wonderful and even when we didn't get our initial hotel requested, we had excellent 2nd choices. Ali and Said did an excellent job setting up the trip.
Our driver Maysaar was definitely a highlight of the trip for us. He was very friendly, super talkative when we asked him questions, but also quiet on... Read more

- Food tour in Marrakesh with Lehsson our guide. We thought it would be a bit repetitive after 10 days in Morocco but he took us to eat a lot of local street food which we had not had time to try before.
- Tour in Fez was also very nice with Sherif. He was both informative and very knowledgeable of the Medina being able to help guide us... Read more
