A lovely quiet riad not too far from the car dropoff point. Had the best viennoiseries for breakfast - really fresh and fluffy! Comfortable room and great bathroom. Enjoyed the rooftop and the lounging chair and table outside our room. Beautiful courtyard, airy and light. A great experience.

True glamping in the desert. Did not expect a real shower, bathtub and toilet. All with running hot and cold water. Very comfortable. Impressed with the food - catering out in the desert cant be easy and to provide such a variety of dishes for breakfast and dinner is a real feat. Food was delicious and fresh. Nice area after dinner to listen to music and look up at the desert sky. Would recommend at least two nights there. During the second day, we were booked for quad biking in the dunes and we were given the courtesy of a day room at the Nasser Palace (same ownership?), which had a lovely refreshing pool to dip and sit in till the afternoon expedition. This was a real treat. To just relax by a pool and have lunch to avoid the heat.

Did not expect such a lovely riad in the middle of nowhere! It was a welcome break from the long car drive to Marrakesh from Merzouga. Great hotel. Fabulous and extensive dinner buffet - to cater for all tastes. Huge variety of entrees and desserts. Staff very courteous. Rooms roomy and well appointed. Very quiet and peaceful.

Conveniently located, not far from the car drop off point. We had a lovely top floor room with a private outdoor balcony/rooftop space. Very comfortable and clean and cool. Thank goodness for AC!!! (it hit 40 degrees plus while were were there!) Staff were friendly and helpful. Easy to find and go to and from. Nice to sit on the ground floor in the courtyard and just chill out. Quiet and relaxing.

Enjoyed our tour immensely with local guide. The medina is such a labaryinth - you really need a local to take you through. Such a special medina. All those different sections, spices, butchers, herbalists, tanneries! Not to mention the madrassas, mosques and other historic places.

Highly recommend at least two nights in the desert. So special. Nothing like it. Had beautiful weather day of arrival and a leisurely camel walk into the sunset. The second day we experienced a sand storm - so really appreciate the landscape and the way it can change so suddenly.

With this tour you really appreciate the landscape and the difficulty of travelling over it. It's a bit awkward or strange to visit a Berber village - yes, a little touristy, but you do get an appreciation of the hardships of living in this harsh environment, and understand why some have chosen to live in a village instead of continuing life as a nomad.

Son and hubby loved the experience of zooming up and down the dunes on the quad bikes. They are heavy and quite stable. I'm a total wuss. So relieved when the tour guide took over for me. Got to appreciate the vastness of the desert. Goes on till through to the horizon. Quite amazing.

This was our first introduction to Morocco. A lot to learn and absorb - especially when one doesnt have any background in Moroccan history. The Hassan II Mosque is a must see. The scale and the workmanship is outstanding. Intricate and stunningly beautiful. And one of the very few mosques in the world where non-Moslems may visit. There is a museum in the medina on the history of Casablanca - worth stopping and spending more time here.

Fascinating roman ruins. Our guide was a little rushed. But you can wander and go at your own pace. It is a big site. Who knew that the largest Roman ruins in North Africa are here! Some well preserved mosaic floors. You're in the sun, with no shade. So wear a hat!

Really enjoyed our local guide Hanyn. This was a "must do" tour - got to eat some real local foods and was able to recreate our steps and go back the next day to some of our favorite stalls. Loved the fresh mesmen pancakes, yoghurt drink and traditional harira soup. Lots to eat and taste. Be adventurous - snails, stews and stuffed pitas. Go with an appetite. Guide was very attentive to allergies. Lots of fun and an opportunity to try some real local food. Not just for tourists!

Lovely former royal city. Enjoyed our walk around and exploration of the medina. Our tour was on a Friday - so many shops closed - keep in mind that on Fridays one may have to adjust one's schedule to take into account noon prayers, etc. Our guide was really interesting and knowledgeable. Nice smaller city to roam around. Not so crowded!

A great introduction to Marrakesh and its medina. Hanyn was very informative and gave us a lot of history and cultural perspective. There's lots to see - only a question of how much stamina one has to see it all! All the palaces and madrassas were so beautiful - easy to get overwhelmed by the tilework and painted ceilings. Quite spectacular.

First class facility and equipment. Teachers and commentary were excellent. All instructions were very clear and concise. Well thought out and presented class. Easy to follow - even for non-cooks. And of course the test is in the eating! Ha ha, you get to eat what you cook - lots of food. Beautifully arranged and a smooth operation. I cant wait to try cooking with a tagine at home!

A truly luxurious experience in a lovely hammam and spa. A real exfoliation scrub - you feel so much cleaner afterwards. A great way to end our trip in Morocco. This is a 5 star treatment. The staff are wonderful and you really feel pampered and taken care of. Even my hubby and son enjoyed it!!

Truly a desert oasis ! Spectacular!!! We wish we had an extra day to enjoy the pool and facilities and relax. Beyond amazing place to stay !!

A beautiful riad and a very attentive staff. In addition, the location was great. It was just outside the medina and there were lots of restaurants close by.

This hotel is just a few feet from the medina and the fort, which made it an easy place to jump off from. The rooms were nice.

This hotel felt as if it was new: everything was in perfect condition. We particularly liked that it had a pool. We just wish that we had gotten there earlier so that we had more time to use it. Because the hotel is not near anything, dinner was included, and it was very good.

The "tents" were huge, and well appointed. I was surprised that there were no limits on the use of the showers, which had great hot water and water pressure. The meals were very nice, and we enjoyed the company of the other guests. In addition, we thoroughly enjoyed the drums around the fire.

Of all the places we stayed on our month-long trip to Morocco, this was my favorite. The owners did a fabulous job refurbishing the Kasbah: our room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and squeaky clean. In addition the Kasbah had beautiful public spaces, both inside the Kasbah and outside. Adding to the charm, were the donkeys that walked by in the early morning on their way to the fields. The best part of the Kasbah was the owner, Michelle, who was from the United States, and who could help me understand what it had been like to purchase and renovate the Kasbah and now to run it. We had several long chats over tea and, while my partner went hiking, she had one of the members of her staff teach me how to make msinenmen.

While this Kasbah was fine, it did not have the character or warmth of the other kasbahs in which we stayed. Parking was difficult, there were weeds growing out of steps, and a tea set sat on a table for two days. The manager also did not interact with us in any meaningful way. Thus, although the kasbah was fine, it was not anything special.

Dar Eau Vive is an upscale hotel on a cliff overlooking the river. Because there was a large group there the weekend we were there, the hotel was not as quiet or as romantic as it might have been on a weekday. Although the rooms are nice, our was small and we ended up putting our suitcases on the balcony, which was covered. The pool is small but nice and the gardens are outstanding. On one of the nights we were there, a group of drummers was there, and we had a great time dancing with them.

Because the riad is in the medina, you have to walk in, and it took us a day or two to figure out how to get out. The staff was, however, very helpful and even walked us to the main gate to meet our driver. Our room was on the second floor (actually the third)) so we got some exercise. We enjoyed chatting with the staff about their villages.

Based on other reviews, we asked for a room with a balcony and, although there was noise, we thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the balcony people watching. The only downside was that breakfast was on the rooftop, which meant we had to walk up 64 stairs before having our morning coffee.

Excellent historically restored kasbah with the nicest proprietors. Heartily recommend!

Excellent location, within walking distance of the Djemaa el-Finaa.

Great food, easy to reach, close to the sand dunes. Very welcoming staff who switched us to another tent when our initial tent did not have power. Nice glamping camp.

This tour was amazing. Sherif our guide was kind and knowledgeable! Every detail of the tour was well planned and pleasant. He was very flexible with changes we suggested and waited for us patiently!

Hanan was the most kind and lovely person. We truly enjoyed the time with her. She was punctual, knowledgeable, flexible, and patient. We are so grateful to have been with her in Marrakech!

The food choices were amazing. I had been to Marrakech before, but my experience was not as positive. Our guide was kind and knowledgeable. We were able to ask many questions about the food, the city and country, and also the culture. We learned a lot from Mohammed. Fully recommend him!!

Dusty, musty, our request for ground or lower floor was not known to the hotel and we had to climb multiple flights with luggage, allergies were bad here. Location very good.

Most amazing hotel palace, very accommodating staff, my room had a window opening to wall do they upgraded us next day to a suite. Food and location perfect.

Camel ride substandard poor seats, dunes magnificent, camp substandard, poor food and very poor entertainment, reception office before the camel ride unfriendly and asking to paid for washrooms use. Camp manager driving us was reckless and scary.

Pretty yet very touristy town, asking for money every where for photos, had a great meal

Guide disinterested, not prepared, couldn’t show us the drive through palace grounds because it was time for royal kids to leave school, could not show us the mausoleum because some special visit. Mostly waste of time. We went and saw the mausoleum next morning on our own.

Beautiful hotel with amazing views of Chefchoaune. Clean and comfortable with a very friendly and helpful staff.

We felt like we were part of a family from the minute they picked us up in the Toyota for the ride across the dunes to the camp. Eight big tents with comfortable beds and Berber rugs covering the floors decorated with local art. There was electricity and running water plus a separate bathroom area - it was everything we needed! Meals were either outside around the fire (too windy when we were there) or in the main house with tables for everyone, followed by music. Sleeping was glorious with a breeze from the cool desert, night air thru the screened tent windows. Camel rides, a tour of the area including a stop at a Berber family and an iron mine. We looked for fossils and stopped to listen to local musicians. Beautiful sunsets over the dunes. Highly recommend staying with everyone at the Tiziri Camp

This hotel wasn't just beautiful, it was also in a great location. Loved our rooms and the rooftop terrace. The only complaint is that we only were there for 1 night. Would have loved to eat dinner in the restaurant or take a dip in the pool!

What a stunning riad from the main floor through the unique charm of our rooms. Just a beautifully restored and kep building. The rooms were incredible and allowed us to take in the fresh air or air con as needed. The welcome cookies and tea were lovely and the rooftop terrace was a great way to watch the sun set over the bustling city of Fez. Love, love, loved this place!

The food, staff, and tents were all incredible. From our sandstorm arrival to our second night bonfire, we truly enjoyed our time at the camp. The food was probably our best on the trip - shout out Fatima, who we got to meet before departure. The rooms were great and a respite from the heat, and a calming place to sleep amidst the desert wind. The music in the evenings was great, but made for some long days. I wouldn't change a thing and really enjoyed this experience!

Loved this charming hotel with a great location in the Medina. It was excellent for exploring but also for getting outside of the Medina walls to see some of the broader city. Lots of stairs, so something to note for those who need a level of accessibility. Wish the pool area would have felt more welcoming, but not a bit deal.

Windows open to the crashing waves of the Atlantic in the this charming riad. If I could have slept every night here, I would have! It was a stunning view with the friendliest staff of the trip. They front desk lady was a fan favorite, helping book hammams and being supportive throughout. Run, don't walk to this incredible property. Great breakfast, great staff, and incredible views.

I stayed at Riad Farouzi Fes, and it was a pleasant experience despite a minor design flaw that caused me to hit my head on a shelf in the bathroom (I'm almost 6'4). The staff was absolutely amazing, especially a lovely gentleman who wrote our names in Arabic and suggested an outstanding restaurant for dinner. The kindness and hospitality of the staff made the stay a memorable one.

We stayed at Sahara Stars Luxury Camp and found it to be quite alright. I found it interesting that the camp isn't in the middle of the desert but rather on its edge for safety reasons.

During our stay at Riad La Croix Berbère Luxe in Marrakesh, we faced an inconvenient issue of having no water from mid-afternoon until the next morning. This unexpected outage was a bit of a challenge, but water did return by morning. Although it was a minor inconvenience, it was not entirely unexpected in an older area, and overall, our stay was decent.

Amazing tour of the this remarkable city. We added this city at the last minute to our tour and we are so glad we did!

The food tour in Marrakech was a highlight of our trip! Our guide was outstanding and took us to incredible places. Each stop was full of delicious food, and the experience was enhanced by the guide’s knowledge and enthusiasm.

Chefchaouen Was amazing. Lots of photo opportunities. The kids had a terrific time walking through the amazing alleys & streets of the blue city. A “must see’” for all travellers to Morocco!

Let me start with the positive, the reason for 3 stars. It had a bed, a bathroom with running water and it was clean. We had privacy and could come and go as needed. The breakfast was really good and the people there were super nice. Now, for some reason the mattress was not agreeable and I had a back pain after the first night. It looked worn on my side so there was a deep in the middle. There wasn't enough lighting in the room. The lamps by the bed were broken, both lamps! Actually, mine didn't even have the plugs at the end of the cord, so I couldn't plug it into the outlet even if I wanted to. If I hit the bed side table with my leg, the lamp shade would fall. Literally! The couch was too small to place both carryon suitcases. We had to take turns. The tiny bench at the end of the bed only fit the backpacks, and barely. The toilet seat was broken. Every time we sat or got up from the toilet we thought it would come apart. The soap and shampoo in the shower were not acceptable. The soap was ridiculously small, hard to open when your hands are wet (I had to call my husband to come open mine and vice-versa) and smelled bad. With all that, although the people were lovely, I'd never stay there again.

Adorable accommodations! Top hospitality. Because we arrived late and had to leave early, we ended up having dinner there as well. In case you are wondering, it was delicious!!

Lovely riad right at the edge of the sand dunes. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is very nice. The pool with the arches and the dunes behind it is an spectacular sight! We had dinner and breakfast there and found everything very agreeable. The dining room is a nicely done as well. The rooms are well decorated and spacious, although not so clean. I'm assuming that when the wind is blowing it's really hard to keep the sand completely out of the room. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay there. PS: they don't sell alcoholic beverages but you can bring your own and they will provide glasses.

This was an extraordinary experience! The camp is beautiful and we just feel like sitting outside taking it all in. Great hospitality and wonderful accommodations. The bed was very comfortable, the room was nicely decorated and we had everything we needed for a luxury camp in the dessert. We had a four course meal for dinner and entertainment afterwards. Those guys are fun and you can't help but have a good time with them! Everyone is so nice, warm and welcoming!

Fantastic hotel with a unique character. The bed was super comfortable! The room was spacious, everything worked well. Breakfast was wonderful. Everything was perfect for us and we could have stayed longer just exploring the decoration.

Nice camp if you’re ok with basics… luxury by tent standards… but there are better camps we noticed along the way that are better maintained and offer better amenities.
