Our trip was amazing. We loved all the hotels selected by the team, I doubt we could’ve discovered them on our own. The transfers were all so smooth and took away all the stress we would normally experience traveling with kids. Having all our activities and tickets purchased beforehand also left us free to just enjoy ourselves. We can’t wait to plan another KimKim trip!

Our travel specialist, Coraima, did a magnificent job discovering our preferences then creating the perfect travel experience for mother-daughter trip to Madrid and Sevilla. From the cooking class and tapas tour to the sherry tasting and Andalusian horse show, everything was top notch. We would have been overwhelmed choosing our own hotels, but she picked the perfect locations. THIS is the way to see a new country! We will definitely use KimKim again.

This is an easy day trip to the coast. I had no idea that Cadiz has such a rich history. Add the Andalusian Horse show just to witness something you may never see again. I learned a lot about Sherry but didn't personally care for it. It is an interesting tour though. Prepare for lots of traffic on the way back. Our driver made the most of it and gave us extra history lessons. We returned around 6pm.

We loved the small size of the class (7 of us). We went to the market early so there weren't any crowds which was nice. Our chef was very knowledgeable, interesting and funny. Alfonso was wonderful at planning a trip without much feed back from me, as i was very pressed for time prior to the trip departure. The guides he hired were AMAZING! Jose was born and raised in Madrid, knew the city and the culture like the back of his hand, and his passion for art history and it’s links to the country were clear in his passionate tour of the Prado. Raquel was born and raised in SEville, and was a true ambassador for the city. Her love for her city and it’s history was clear, and she loved sharing it with us.

One of the wishes that we communicated to Adam was our wish to hike uphill to the Montserrat Natural Park above the Monastery. Our guide, Anthony, provided excellent transportation to the Monastery, arriving just before sunrise, so that we could see the sun rise as we hiked. Anthony had no problem hiking with us up a very steep trail, which was well maintained but totally quiet at this time of day. The tour of the Monastery and brunch afterwards made for a perfect morning!

Throughout our family's experience planning our trip to Portugal and Spain, Raquel our travel agent, and the teams at both Espiritu Travel and KimKim were so attentive and helpful! We first contacted KimKim in September, and even though we were slow to finalize plans due to the busyness of our personal lives, Raquel especially did a phenomenal job routinely checking in, updating our sample itinerary, and seeing if we had any remaining questions.

In terms of planning our itinerary they were incredibly receptive of our input regarding the types of activities people in our family enjoyed. Be it cultural excursions, museums, food recommendations, hotels and more, they were responsive and asked pertinent follow up questions to guarantee we got the most out of our trip. We highly encourage anyone booking to follow the travel agent's recommendations/bookings to guided tours. The walking tour in Madrid and guided excursion to Toledo were some of the best experiences my family talked about. The main reason my family planned this trip was to visit me in Galicia, and although I personally planned the itinerary on those days as someone that currently lives in the north even I found Raquel's restaurant recommendations in Santiago de Compostela incredibly helpful. If anyone stays in the city we also heartily recommend the Hostal de Reyes Catolico Paradores---it was the best hotel of the trip according to my family.

During the trip, the travel agency was also responsive to cancellations/last minute changes on our end to the itinerary. This was especially helpful because of the transport that they arranged for us. Additionally, they advised us on the appropriate travel insurance before the trip was booked and because of this my Mom was able to get some much needed medication from a doctor when she unexpectedly became sick. Overall we simply cannot recommend this service enough! They made our trip so much easier to enjoy, and relax. Thank you!

The rooms were a bit small, but they had a gorgeous view of the beach and ocean! The staff of the hotel was attentive, and the laundry service was swift. We had a poor experience eating in the hotel restaurant (the meal took hours, and everyone in the restaurant went large portions of the night unattended). I believe this was because of low staffing, and we took it in stride in the moment, but something for the management to consider moving forward.

Spain Trip over 12 days, Madrid, Seville, Granada, Cordoba, Toledo. The scheduling and guided tours were very good. The local guides were generally very knowledgeable.
Make sure your mobile phone is connected to cellular, one would be completely lost without it!! Any changes or updates are communicated thru the KimKim App, and your travel advisors keep it well updated.
During our trip, the train system in the whole of Southern Spain was shut down due to train derailment. All our train travels from one city to another were cancelled. KimKim arranged for private car transportation so not to interrupt our schedule. Although they could have asked us to reimburse the much higher cost of chauffeured private transportation, using the excuse of Force Majeure or Act of God, they did not, and they absorbed the costs, and I give them lots of credit for that.
Overall, very satisfied with the service I got on this trip. Special thanks mostly to Summer, but also to Adam, Alejandra, Olivia.

Great trip! Everything was planned perfectly, every tour guide was exceptional, and every transfer arrived on time. We were traveling during the holidays and I expected to have at least one glitch, but all went smoothly. I would highly recommend this service, and we will use them again to travel. Our local specialist was Beatriz- there was never a time I texted on the trip, with questions, that she or one of the travel agency staff did not answer immediately. They actually have people on call during the holidays and on the weekends in case we had questions or any problems. Exceptional service!
One of the best family trips we have had in years!

This trip was curated specifically for me and my children. Julia was great to incorporate all of the different experiences and activities that we particularly enjoy. On two occasions I needed to contact the Kimkim 24/7 Support line which helped me expeditiously. I would greatly recommend working with Kimkim for any trip you plan to take. It went seamlessly.

It was an amazing memorable trip. Couldn't have asked for more to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Coraima and Summer were super helpful leading up to the trip, building the perfect itinerary and assisting with changes through the trip. Hotels were very comfortable, clean and we received great service. Special shout out to the guides (Tatiana, Ruth, Guadalupe, Alvaro and Carlos) were all awesome and took good care of us on the tours. One of the best trips we have had and highly recommended.

The guides, drivers, and everyone in the hotels were fantastic. All of the planned activities were a hit, and we got to experience being in some of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. We all loved the gardens and our time in the mountains. The people who came up with our itinerary really know their stuff. I’d one hundred percent recommend your company and would absolutely use it again.

The only problem we had was a terrible ferry service from Spain to Tangiers. The ferry was dangerous, disorganized, and late, and the people who worked on it seemed to have no idea what they were doing and were rude when called out on safety issues. There is no order or crowd control, and I wouldn’t recommend it, or I would warn people if they wanted to use it to be especially careful if they were traveling with older people or small children. There were a couple of times in the ferry and while boarding the ferry that I was worried someone would be crushed to death. It’s that bad. It’s also unreliable, so when we finally got to Tangiers, we had almost no time there, which was a shame because our guide and driver were truly excellent and professional and would have been a delight to spend more time with.

Our family of four (including two teenagers, ages 17 and 19) had the most incredible Christmas vacation in Spain. Over nine days, we traveled through Madrid, Córdoba, Seville, and Granada, and every detail of the trip was flawlessly coordinated by Coraima and her team.

Guides were great. Knowledgeable and pleasant. Wineries were fantastic! Transportation was also on point. Very communicative and the app. specific to our drivers was very informative. Locations of both hotels could not have been better. Hotel Regina oddly was very loud. The hotel must have extremely thin walls because even without my hearing aids, I could hear stomping, vacuuming, talking, running, vacuuming, yelling, vacuuming, all night long 😂 lol. However, hotel Regina had great service and breakfast and overall we were happy with our stay. The Girona Hotel was also fantastic. Oddly enough, upon arrival, there was no one to let us in the door. Fortunately our driver was kind enough to stay with us and help try to reach someone in the building. Eventually a room service worker opened the door, to which we then entered the reception area and waited an additional 5 min. before seeing anyone. Very appreciative of the driver. The room was super cool and a unique hotel. Again, an overall fantastic experience.

Loved the private guide. As someone who has hearing aids, a big group would be difficult for me to hear. Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about Barcelona. Pace was perfect, and no lines! Our guide is also very well known among the tourist areas! We really enjoyed our time.

Our driver to Girona, not only asked us prior if we’d like a water, he proceeded to wait and help us get into the hotel. He then reached out later with dinner suggestions for us!!

I loved Bilbao, the cooking class was exceptional!!! The town was great. The restaurants were delicious. The hotel was very good and the location was super.
The Guggenheim Museum was great

San Sebastián- again the food was fantastic. The hotel was great. The walk along the El Camino was totally rained out so he just drove us around instead, but he was super sweet. ( it was actually going to be a pretty rugged walk and he brought walking sticks.- my suggestion would be to let people know that we’re sort of climbing over a little mountain and that hiking shoes are preferable and that we do get muddy.

The old town was really fun. The food and beverage tour in old town was wonderful. It was the same Guide as the day before when he took us to his village instead of us walking.

Santander- hotel was grand and elegant.
The tour to the cave and the medieval village was fun the museum and the walking on the water was beautiful and relaxing.

The food there was very different but equally as good.

Guggenheim Visit with a Private Guide

The visit to the Guggenheim with a private guide was fantastic. The museum itself is beautiful, and having a knowledgeable guide made the experience even more enriching.

Basque Cooking Experience

The Basque Cooking Experience was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The class took place in a gastronomy kitchen, and it was a wonderful experience with just us and the chef. We cooked famous Gilda pintxos, an amazing tuna dish with jarred red peppers, a giant pan-seared steak, and this incredible brioche bread dessert. The chef was knowledgeable and engaging, and it was fascinating to learn and cook these authentic dishes. Also, the description provided earlier was inaccurate as it mentioned a bean stew, which never happened. Nonetheless, the cooking class exceeded all expectations.

Pintxos & Wine Walk

The Pintxos & Wine Walk in San Sebastián was excellent. Our guide was friendly, and it was delightful to visit a variety of places sampling delicious pintxos and local wines. The group atmosphere added to the enjoyment of the experience.

Private Coastal Walk Along St. James Way

We were supposed to do a Private Coastal Walk Along St. James Way, but due to poor weather and a lack of clarity in the description (which referred to it as a casual walk rather than a rugged hike), we decided instead to visit local villages with our guide. It wasn't what we initially planned, but the adapted plan was enjoyable, and our guide was very accommodating. It's also important to mention that the description is misleading when it says we will stop for a delicious lunch, as no lunch is included on this tour. Our guide made adjustments, and we ended up having a wonderful day.

So, Adam was great. He was knowledgeable and helpful with a lot of trip experience, and willing to work with us generously on glitches. Alejandra not so much. She made a lot of mistakes, some were corrected prior to the trip, some had to be dealt with during the trip, like two duplicate hotel reservations, which we had to address when we checked in. Also, one transfer was incorrect and we didn't catch it until the day before despite multiple reviews. All in all, the trip was great, the hotels were perfect, the train rides wonderful, the tours were lovely, including the private tour of the Prado with an art history scholar for the guide. They always fixed the issues reasonably promptly, I just found that in terms of attention to detail and seamless organization, it was not anywhere close to the tour they put together for the Greece trip.
