Great trip! Everything was planned perfectly, every tour guide was exceptional, and every transfer arrived on time. We were traveling during the holidays and I expected to have at least one glitch, but all went smoothly. I would highly recommend this service, and we will use them again to travel. Our local specialist was Beatriz- there was never a time I texted on the trip, with questions, that she or one of the travel agency staff did not answer immediately. They actually have people on call during the holidays and on the weekends in case we had questions or any problems. Exceptional service!

This trip was curated specifically for me and my children. Julia was great to incorporate all of the different experiences and activities that we particularly enjoy. On two occasions I needed to contact the Kimkim 24/7 Support line which helped me expeditiously. I would greatly recommend working with Kimkim for any trip you plan to take. It went seamlessly.

It was an amazing memorable trip. Couldn't have asked for more to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Coraima and Summer were super helpful leading up to the trip, building the perfect itinerary and assisting with changes through the trip. Hotels were very comfortable, clean and we received great service. Special shout out to the guides (Tatiana, Ruth, Guadalupe, Alvaro and Carlos) were all awesome and took good care of us on the tours. One of the best trips we have had and highly recommended.

The guides, drivers, and everyone in the hotels were fantastic. All of the planned activities were a hit, and we got to experience being in some of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. We all loved the gardens and our time in the mountains. The people who came up with our itinerary really know their stuff. I’d one hundred percent recommend your company and would absolutely use it again.

The only problem we had was a terrible ferry service from Spain to Tangiers. The ferry was dangerous, disorganized, and late, and the people who worked on it seemed to have no idea what they were doing and were rude when called out on safety issues. There is no order or crowd control, and I wouldn’t recommend it, or I would warn people if they wanted to use it to be especially careful if they were traveling with older people or small children. There were a couple of times in the ferry and while boarding the ferry that I was worried someone would be crushed to death. It’s that bad. It’s also unreliable, so when we finally got to Tangiers, we had almost no time there, which was a shame because our guide and driver were truly excellent and professional and would have been a delight to spend more time with.

Our family of four (including two teenagers, ages 17 and 19) had the most incredible Christmas vacation in Spain. Over nine days, we traveled through Madrid, Córdoba, Seville, and Granada, and every detail of the trip was flawlessly coordinated by Coraima and her team.

From carefully selected hotels and outstanding guided tours to seamless train tickets and transfers between cities, the itinerary was truly perfect. Communication was always fast, clear, and efficient, and any questions, changes, or services needed were handled quickly and without issue.

The tour guides and activities exceeded our expectations. One standout experience was the rooftop paella cooking class in Seville—an absolute must-do and a highlight of our entire trip.

Highlight of the trip!!! Fernando was amazing! The views from the balcony were incredible, we learned how to cook paella in a hands on way and it was so much fun. Locations of both hotels could not have been better. Hotel Regina oddly was very loud. The hotel must have extremely thin walls because even without my hearing aids, I could hear stomping, vacuuming, talking, running, vacuuming, yelling, vacuuming, all night long 😂 lol. However, hotel Regina had great service and breakfast and overall we were happy with our stay. The Girona Hotel was also fantastic. Oddly enough, upon arrival, there was no one to let us in the door. Fortunately our driver was kind enough to stay with us and help try to reach someone in the building. Eventually a room service worker opened the door, to which we then entered the reception area and waited an additional 5 min. before seeing anyone. Very appreciative of the driver. The room was super cool and a unique hotel. Again, an overall fantastic experience.

I loved Bilbao, the cooking class was exceptional!!! The town was great. The restaurants were delicious. The hotel was very good and the location was super.

San Sebastián- again the food was fantastic. The hotel was great. The walk along the El Camino was totally rained out so he just drove us around instead, but he was super sweet. ( it was actually going to be a pretty rugged walk and he brought walking sticks.- my suggestion would be to let people know that we’re sort of climbing over a little mountain and that hiking shoes are preferable and that we do get muddy.

The old town was really fun. The food and beverage tour in old town was wonderful. It was the same Guide as the day before when he took us to his village instead of us walking.

Santander- hotel was grand and elegant.
The tour to the cave and the medieval village was fun the museum and the walking on the water was beautiful and relaxing.

The food there was very different but equally as good.

The visit to the Guggenheim with a private guide was fantastic. The museum itself is beautiful, and having a knowledgeable guide made the experience even more enriching.

The Basque Cooking Experience was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The class took place in a gastronomy kitchen, and it was a wonderful experience with just us and the chef. We cooked famous Gilda pintxos, an amazing tuna dish with jarred red peppers, a giant pan-seared steak, and this incredible brioche bread dessert. The chef was knowledgeable and engaging, and it was fascinating to learn and cook these authentic dishes. Also, the description provided earlier was inaccurate as it mentioned a bean stew, which never happened. Nonetheless, the cooking class exceeded all expectations.

Pintxos & Wine Walk

The Pintxos & Wine Walk in San Sebastián was excellent. Our guide was friendly, and it was delightful to visit a variety of places sampling delicious pintxos and local wines. The group atmosphere added to the enjoyment of the experience.

Private Coastal Walk Along St. James Way

We were supposed to do a Private Coastal Walk Along St. James Way, but due to poor weather and a lack of clarity in the description (which referred to it as a casual walk rather than a rugged hike), we decided instead to visit local villages with our guide. It wasn't what we initially planned, but the adapted plan was enjoyable, and our guide was very accommodating. It's also important to mention that the description is misleading when it says we will stop for a delicious lunch, as no lunch is included on this tour. Our guide made adjustments, and we ended up having a wonderful day.

So, Adam was great. He was knowledgeable and helpful with a lot of trip experience, and willing to work with us generously on glitches. Alejandra not so much. She made a lot of mistakes, some were corrected prior to the trip, some had to be dealt with during the trip, like two duplicate hotel reservations, which we had to address when we checked in. Also, one transfer was incorrect and we didn't catch it until the day before despite multiple reviews. All in all, the trip was great, the hotels were perfect, the train rides wonderful, the tours were lovely, including the private tour of the Prado with an art history scholar for the guide. They always fixed the issues reasonably promptly, I just found that in terms of attention to detail and seamless organization, it was not anywhere close to the tour they put together for the Greece trip.

Alejandra and coraima did an excellent job planning and coordinating this trip and the logistics.

Guadalupe in Seville for tour of Alcazar and Catedral was an excellent, informative and entertaining tour guide.

Coraima planned a wonderful trip for us. She found a couple tours we wouldn't have discovered on our own, and the hotel she selected for us in Seville was exceptional. The app was very easy to use, especially when navigating to meeting points with Google Maps. The one small hiccup during the trip (not due to the trip plan) was resolved quickly and effortlessly.

KimKim organized a seamless trip for us! Our 2 tour guides (Jaime on Tenerife and Paolo on el Hierro) were fantastic. They were both knowledgeable, passionate about their island, and very flexible with their itinerary to meet our needs.
All transfers were well communicated, on time, and stress-free.

Review for KimKim 1 December 2025

My wife and I decided to sponsor a family trip to Spain. Our trip would be for a week for the 6 of us. Our planning time with KimKim and agents, Alfonso and Uhaina was very easy. We established our basic budget, hotel preferences, transport needs, and places to visit. The communications were by text and went very well. We opted out of having our local transportation needs met by the trip provider. We were confident that we could use the metro and cabs. Indeed, we found the metro and taxis easy to use. We did request airport transfers, and they were provided, with good drivers and nice cars, meeting us right on time and in the right place.
Unfortunately, I took a hard fall on our second full day and had to spend the night in the emergency room in Barcelona. I was unable to continue with the remainder of the trip, which included several site visits and a three-day trip to Seville. KimKim made all of the necessary adjustments.
We did not get refunds on any flights, events, or hotels that were cancelled. In addition, there was no hospital insurance, a fact that we knew from the beginning.

KimKim helped us make the most of a difficult time, and I would recommend them to a friend.

We had an absolutely wonderful trip to Madrid and the canary islands. Our accommodations were perfect and our excursions were excellent. Of note we very much enjoyed the wine tasting in Las Vegas Madrid and stargazing in Las Palmas.

Although the guides for the tours (tapa tasting tour, Montserrat & winery tour, chocolate & Sagrada familia were excellent) I didn’t like my hotel accommodations nor its location. The Hotel Majestic or the La Casa Fuster are more my style.

We walked so we got night time glimpse of Barcelona

My family and I booked part of our trip to Spain and Portugal through KimKim, and we had a great experience. This was not surprising as we have taken several trips with KimKim's help, and they were also wonderful. Our local specialist, Dalia, was fantastic! She was extremely helpful during the planning stages of the trip, and she did an excellent job of communicating information to us during the trip as well.

We stayed in Seville, Mérida, and Lisbon. All of our accommodations were very nice, clean, and comfortable. Our hotel in Mérida had even served as a convent and hospital at one point, which we thought was very cool.

We had several tours and guides booked through KimKim, that we really enjoyed:
Dalia recommended a Flamenco and Tapas tour in Seville, which was both fun and tasty! Teresa, was our guide for the evening. Born and raised in Seville, she was able to give us really interesting history and facts about both the city and Flamenco. The show was a lot of fun, and our tapas was very good thanks to Teresa's recommendations. 10/10 experience.

Alejandro was our driver to Ronda and the White Villages, and he did a fantastic job navigating the rather tricky and treacherous mountain roads. He also had a lot of great facts to share with us along our drive.

Alfredo was our tour guide in Ronda. He did a very good job giving us the history and cultural significance of bull fighting while still being very open and honest about the moral and ethical questions that it has raised in recent years. He didn't try to sway us to any sort of conclusion, but allowed us to draw our own. As a native resident of Ronda, he had so many great stories to share with us during the rest of the tour.

Eduardo was our driver to Italica, Mérida, Evora, and Lisbon. He was both courteous and kind.

We had a quick stop off in the Roman ruins of Italica. We would highly recommend visiting it if you are able to. Alfonso was our guide, and we loved his tour through the arena and city. He was able to create a great picture of what the city would have looked like in its heyday.

Mérida is a very interesting city to visit with a fantastic Roman theatre and Roman artifact museum. We loved our tour with Marco despite the rainy weather.

Evora was our first stop in Portugal, and it was a wonderful introduction to such a beautiful country. The bone chapel is fascinating and a must do if you are in the city. Yet another amazing tour via KimKim.

Claudia was our tour guide. We visited four very different castles/palaces and we enjoyed them all. Claudia was a great tour guide. There were guests at one of the palaces we visited that stopped her to ask what tour group she was with because they had overheard her descriptions to us and were so impressed. We did not go to Cascais so that we would be able to go to all of the palaces in Sintra. All four of them were so unique that I am glad we made that decision.

He did a very good job giving us the history and cultural significance of bull fighting while still being very open and honest about the moral and ethical questions that it has raised in recent years. He didn't try to sway us to any sort of conclusion, but allowed us to draw our own. As a native resident of Ronda, he had so many great stories to share with us during the rest of the tour. The White Villages themselves are very fascinating, and the views can't be beaten.

Sevilla Tapas & Flamenco: A tale of Triana

Our local specialist recommended a Flamenco and Tapas tour in Seville, which was both fun and tasty! Teresa, was our guide for the evening. Born and raised in Seville, she was able to give us really interesting history and facts about both the city and Flamenco. The show was a lot of fun, and our tapas was very good thanks to Teresa's recommendations. 10/10 experience.

It was a walking tour so transport was not really applicable, but I clicked it on accident so now I have to commit to it.

The communication means was very time consuming and confusing. The Trip Plan app was also difficult to use. The tours and activities that we missed due to flight delays could not be rebooked- very bad. One tour activity was canceled last minute due to weather (a little rain) with no option for something different. Our star gazing tour required 1.5 hours of self driving up into the mountains on tiny winding roads in the dark which we did not know about until that afternoon. We ended up only being able to go on 2 out of 5 planned excursions/activities. Very disappointing trip!

We just completed an incredible trip to Spain and Portugal with KimKim. We have traveled internationally before, both with structured small group tours (through Odessey) and with trips we planned on our own (relying heavily on Rick Steve's books). This time we read the reviews and decided to try out the KimKim program, as we knew what we wanted and had no time to plan it out. They did a great job!

We liked that Coriama arranged a Zoom meeting before we left, to ensure that all questions and plans were clear. We opted for their "middle" tier hotels - which were superb and very boutique. The locations were always in the center of town, and the hotel staff were wonderful without exception. Rooms were European small, but comfortable, and the "full or double" beds were at least queen-size. Breakfast were mostly European buffets and fantastic, and we enjoyed the other guests. Having drivers assist us with our connections was a real bonus and whenever we had an issue, a KimKim representative quickly and efficiently responded. When we had a transportation snafu after a delayed flight, Kim Kim was quick to reimburse us. We will definitely use KimKim again.
