Noga Heyman

I fell in love with Iceland during my first visit in 2012, and I'm sure you will, too! Whether you're looking to relax in the hot springs, embark on a multiday trek, or dive into the rich Viking history, I'll create the perfect itinerary tailored just for you. I'm passionate about crafting journeys that go beyond the typical tourist experience.

Whether you're seeking adventure in Iceland's rugged landscapes, immersing yourself in local traditions, or simply enjoying the serene beauty of the countryside, I'm here to design an itinerary that perfectly matches your interests. Travel should be personal and transformative, which is why I focus on creating meaningful experiences that allow you to connect deeply with both the land and its people. My goal is to help you discover Iceland in a way that feels uniquely yours while also supporting the preservation of this incredible destination.

How did you get involved in travel?

"I spent several years living in Iceland, traveling across the country and immersing myself in its beauty. I've enjoyed discovering the vibrant culture and cuisine of Reykjavík and escaping to the stunning landscapes beyond the city. With a deep love for nature, hiking, and waterfalls, I'm eager to share my passion for this incredible country with fellow independent travelers."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"A friend invited me to visit his family's hometown, a charming fishing village nestled in northern Iceland. That evening, we headed to the local pub, a cozy spot filled with Icelanders. As we settled in and sipped on our cold Einstök beers, a song started blaring from the speakers. To my surprise, everyone in the pub—except for me—began singing along to the Icelandic classic with great enthusiasm. It was a rare and authentic moment - I still listen to that song occasionally for a wave of nostalgia."

The lodge was great, with an amazing bar & restaurant. The views were great- when the fog lifted. However, the room was very small, and you could hear your neighbors walking and talking. And we had an ‘upgraded room’- the finishes were nice.

Authenticity & Character
The lodge was nice.
Location
Close to the town where we took a super jeep tour. Also close to other restaurants, since theirs was closed one night.

Everyone was awesome.
Cleanliness & Comfort
Very clean. Not as quiet as I would have liked.

Great location and free parking. BUT, the street noise was incredibly loud- it sounded like our window was wide open, even though it was closed.

We couldn’t do the river crossing because it was too deep- we would have had to get wet up to our shins. So, waterproof boots weren’t enough. Hikers should be aware that they have to walk in the river for several meters before they get to the log that spans the rest of the river. So, we never got to see the falls.

I wish the area would put in a small bridge to cross the river, so we could have completed the hike.

Using KimKim's amazing service really deepened our experience in Iceland! Noga was amazing! Noga and Nick were great and available before and during our trip for anything! The pretrip planning was fun and the app created for us just before the trip had everything we needed, even links to All Trails hikes, our confirmation numbers for hotels, tours, and activities, details about each activity, and a suggested order to minimized the driving! We took a three week trip Sept-October 2025 and went clockwise around the country. This enabled us to see remote areas in the West Fjords before they closed for the season as well as to get to the "Golden Circle" after most tourists had left. We took several tours--an informative and very fun jeep tour in West Fjords with Dr. Gisli Margislason, a Northern Lights tour out of Isafjordur with Gudmundur Valdimarsson-- he really taught us how to see and photograph the lights--we saw them a total of 6 nights--the first time with him! Kari Timsson took us on a glacier hike in Skaftafell--He made sure the trip was fun and safe for everyone. Dagur Larusson gave delicious and very fun food tour of Reykjavik. (He is also starting food tours in Akureyri!). Each of these guides were warm, outstanding, fun, knowledgeable and accommodating to the needs of everyone in the group. All of the geo thermal hot springs we visited were great (Hussafell Canyon Baths--great guide for this one too, Forest Lagoon Pool, Myvatn Nature Baths, and Sky Lagoon). The trip was so much fun and KimKim was great to work and created a flawless trip for us!

This is a beautiful hike. I am giving it only 4 stars because there was a log crossing (round log and a wire to hold onto once you got in position) that proved too daunting for us. So, we hiked back to the beginning and tried to go up the other way which was considerably steeper and while we were there, had 60+ mile per hour wind gusts. Otherwise, it would have been amazing

Kimkim helped us plan an amazing trip three week trip to Iceland. Noga is smart, experienced and knew just how to set up our trip to meet our expectations. She listened to what we told her about our desires for the trip and her planning made the trip a major success. Our jeep tour to see northern lights in Isafjordur with Gudmundur Valdimarsson of Iceland BackCountry Travel was a definite highlight as were our glacier hike with Kari Timsson of Icelandic Mountain Guides and jeep experience of the west fjords with Gisli Margislason of Wild Westfjords. All of the activities she set up for us were outstanding - whale watching in Husavik and the food tour in Reyjkavik with Dagur Lárusson of Reykjavik Food Walk were also excellent.

The kimkim app made the travel easy as well. She included links to Google maps for specific locations as well as AllTrails maps for hikes were wanted to take. All the guides we showed the app to were blown away by it.

We found Kimkim through friends who used them and I can't recommend them enough.

It was perfect with 2- 2.5 hour drives each day. The hotels were comfy with great breakfast buffets. We loved the ice cave hike with our guide Sylvester and the snorkeling in Silfra Fissure with our guide Aidan. Everyone at Kimkim answered our questions immediately. We loved the ice cave hike with our guide Sylvester and the snorkeling in Silfra Fissure with our guide Aidan. Everyone at Kimkim answered our questions immediately. We lucked out as the weather never interrupted our plans with just some passing showers. Not only that, we were greeted by the Northern Lights when we flew in over Greenland and then we saw them two more times in Iceland! This was an unforgettable trip! If you go, be sure to bring completely waterproof hiking boots and rain jacket and rain pants! Kimkim made everything easy for us! Thanks so much! Debbie

Thank you, Debbie! It was so much fun working with you and I'm glad you had such an incredible experience. Seeing the northern lights three times is a real treat! We're here if you ever decide to do a return visit to this beautiful island 😊

Overall the trip was great but it was a lot more driving than we expected. We didn’t realize how remote places were. The hike at Glymur Falls is really only for very experiences hikers. There is a log but to get to the log you have to go over an area of rocks, just holding onto a wire. So neither of us were able to get very far (and a lot of other people were also turning back).
The whale watching was really fun, it was a great crew.

The hotel was really nice but it was in the middle of nowhere, there was nothing else around.

Thank you so much for your feedback, Joyce! I am so glad you had a wonderful trip overall. You're right that Iceland added many parking fees over the last month or so, and we are working to update our descriptions accordingly. That is really helpful information that you gave us. All your photos are so beautiful, and it looks like the four of you created some really special memories. Thanks for trusting us with your adventure!

My husband gave Noga an idea of what we like to do on vacation and the level/length of hikes we enjoy. Noga gave us terrific suggestions. The hikes were stunning and got us away from the tour bus crowds. We also enjoyed the accommodations KimKim booked for us.

It was such a joy working with the two of you! I'm so glad you enjoyed your trip and were able to do some of my favorite hikes along the south coast. I have many special memories from the hot springs hike, and I'm glad you now do too. I hope you'll think of us for your next adventure!
