Alfonso Nuñez

This was our first time using kimkim to plan a trip anywhere. It made the entire process incredibly easy and I will be recommending it to all of our friends back home. Our trip coordinator was Alfonso Nuñez with Basquelands Way. He was excellent and was always quick to respond when we messaged him with questions. We asked him to put together quite a complex trip that involved traveling to and planning activities in Madrid, Barcelona, Calders, and Palma de Mallorca. He created an amazing trip and handled our requests with ease. Our favorite activities that he planned for us were the hot air balloon ride with Mallorca Balloons, the private olive oil farm tour at Finca Aubocassa, the tuk-tuk tour of Madrid with Tu Tuk Tuk, and the walking tour of Madrid with our guide Jose. I highly recommend Alfonso if you are planning a trip to Spain. We had an incredible time.

This was the absolute most amazing vacation we have ever taken. Alonso and his team went above and beyond to ensure we had the most memorable time. We were a family of 10 spanning 3 generations. We started our trip in Madrid. We wanted to start our trip with a tapas tour with expectations of a culinary experience. Jose, our guide in Madrid, took us on a journey of history and culture that was woven in with the different dishes. We spent 3 days with him experiencing food, touring the palace and ending in Toledo with Easter mass and a tour of the streets. In Barcelona our experiences included a bike tour, a tapas tour, the most wonderful guide at Sagrada Familia, a FC Barca game and ended with a winery tour and a trip up the mountain to Montserrat . We are ready to plan our next vacation and Kim Kim has set the standard so high we are afraid of being disappointed. Thank you so much to Alfonso and Uhania for your attentiveness.

Private Montserrat & Penedès Wine Region Day Trip

This was the highlight of our vacation. Our guide at the winery took is on a journey of the wine and olive oil of the region. After we had our favorite meal of our Spain trip. We may have drank a little too much mine so the ride up the mountain to Monserrat was slightly rough but so worth it. Monserrat is one of the most beautiful places we have been too.

Our guide Jose was the best tour guide we have had in any country. He made us fall in love with the food, history and culture of Spain.

Alfonso and Urania were excellent to work with. We had a number of changes including two members of our party who had to cancel because of medical reasons. Alfonso responded graciously with each change of plans. Our hotels and the activities booked for us were a perfect fit . We have enjoyed all aspects of the trip.

As a veteran family vacation planner, it's not easy for me to admit, but Alfonso did it better. Activities were well chosen, taking our interests fully into consideration, and guides were all exceptional. We made things more difficult at the end by our last minute planning, but Alfonso nevertheless managed to score tickets to the Alhambra, perfectly timed to catch our train from Granada to Madrid. Hotels were exactly as hoped, and impeccably located. All transitions were perfectly seamless, and when we needed a minor adjustment it was managed in minutes. We really appreciated the daily check-ins from Alfonso and Uhaina to make sure we were still on course. It certainly makes it easier to ask questions as well.

All in all a wonderful service; I would not hesitate to use it again.

Alfonso planned a great trip for us along the Costa Brava trail. The hotels between hikes were great. Transfers were like clock work. Restaurant recommendations spot on. Level of communication and availability while on the trail was just right. Would definitely use Alfonso and Kimkim again!

We had a wonderful visit to Spain with thanks to our travel planner Alfonso through Kim Kim. Alfonso worked with us to develop an itinerary based on our desires to see new places in Madrid and Andalucia - we visited Madrid, Toledo, Córdoba, Ronda, and Granada. Alfonso organized great guides in each location for part of a day and we had ample free time to explore on our own, as well. We've normally done most trip research and planning on our own using a guide book for sights. Alfonso did all the leg work this time, finding really well-situated hotels and superb guides who were knowledgeable and enjoyable to spend time with. I learned a ton and got so much more out of places like the Alhambra and Miskita in Cordoba, and the Plaza de Toros (without having to witness a bullfight) in Ronda!

Along the way, there were a few situations where we had questions, and either Alfonso or Uhaina responded so fully and quickly. Working with Alfonso and Kim Kim really added to the total experience - we had a wonderful trip.
