Red Frog was a great experience. The Villa at the resort was terrific, but very far from anything. A golf cart to get around was essential and our Villa didn’t have one. We had to rely on calls for pick ups, which weren’t that reliable and created unnecessary delays and stress. This is really the main issue with the resort and really should be addressed. Also, we were repeatedly told towels were coming at the Beach Club but they never arrived after 4 hours. Things like Villa transportation and towels depreciate from the first class price point.
Finally, really appreciated Lucia’s periodic check-ins throughout our trip.
Overall, very pleased and will use KimKim again.
Thank you.

The location of the hotel is perfect and the hotel itself is beautiful and relatively comfortable. The room we got for 3 people was *very* small - we could really not all be standing at the same time without bumping into each other. If it were just 2 of us, I would have given it 5 stars. But the room was clean, staff were very friendly, breakfast was delicious.

Los Mandarinos was probably one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed at. The views of the mountains from the hotel AND the pool were incredible. Our room was very comfortable, and the location was quiet and peaceful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to/through El Valle.

Palmar beach lodge

The Palmar was a very nice hotel and the only reason I gave it 4/5 stars is personal preference. Our room was very comfortable (A/C was critical to cool down once or twice a day), staff very friendly and helpful, RIGHT ON THE BEACH. The restaurant and bar were very nice and we enjoyed the variety for a week without tiring of the menu. The only drawback of this hotel (for us) is that some nights can be a little more of a party atmosphere - nothing too big and certainly not loud enough to keep us awake. I probably would have loved this in my 20s....

I think this was one of my favorite days of the entire trip. Our guide Jose was very knowledgable about the rainforest plants and animals, as well as the fort at San Lorenzo. The drive to the fort and the walk down there road were spectacular - we saw so many animals and really got to quietly observe and have branches dropped on us by howler monkeys! The views were beautiful, and even though the workings of the Canal Locks was not my primary interest of this outing, I found them fascinating and am very happy we were able to watch a huge container ship going through the lock system.

Loved this tour - what an amazing place. If we could put videos below, I'd add the 3 species of monkeys we saw up close. We also saw a crocodile, numerous bird species, iguanas, and turtles. Our boat driver knew where to find certain animals and being on the lake with the big ships nearby was surreal. Also, being in the shade on the boat kept things a little cooler and more comfortable in the heat.

It could have been the timing of the particular tour we took, but we were a little disappointed with this tour. We shifted the time to 4pm to try and avoid the hottest part of the day. We did not get to do the chocolate tasting that our son was looking forward to b/c of the day it was scheduled for, and we were only able to see the interior of one church in town (and not the one directly across from the hotel). We also weren't even aware that the Presidential Palace was in the area until our driver the next day mentioned it while we were leaving town. My guess is we only experienced a portion of what this tour should have been... and again, this could have been b/c of the shifted time. It was a little disappointing b/c those were our surroundings during our stay and I would have liked to learn more about it. What we did see and learn about was very interesting. But there was not really any discussion about the current political environment around some of the changes the area has undergone to revitalize tourism (eg; we saw some signs on our own that locals were trying to resist gentrification - would have liked to learn more about how the will of the locals is balanced with tourism).

We spent 2-3 days in the Panama City, and especially loved staying in Casco Viejo (Old Town), where we could sit on the square, wander and view the old city and history, and enjoy great coffee including Gesha coffee. Our favorite 2-3 days was Valle de Anton, a quaint town, beautiful scenery, and walking to waterfalls; also great bakery and batida (smoothies). Our third stop was staying 2-3 days the Pearl Islands, where we enjoyed the warm Pacific and very mellow beach days in a quiet setting. All of the this was set up via Kimkim. They made it so easy, and everyone we worked with was personable and professional. We especially loved our in country driver, Julio, and our guide for the days in Panama City, Victoria. On our last day, we visited an indigenous community via dug out canoe, and all of us, including Julio and Victoria swam in the waterfall pools in the National Park. I am so impressed with Panama and its mix of cosmopolitan city, relaxed and laid back environment. safe and easy travel, and friendly and easy to interact with people. Zulmy helped us to design our trip, and she and I went back and forth on ideas to come up with our final itinerary. We were traveling in the rainy season, and she had great tips for us so that we could work best with the weather and also have great sites and not spend all our time in transit. She was even open to helping us book a hotel which I found and wanted to stay at in Casco Viejo. This is our 2nd trip with Kimkim, the first was 3 weeks in Scotland. We will be back. It's a great model and everything was custom, easy, and personal.

This was the perfect landing spot and place to make our home base in Panama City. We chose it for its location in Casco Viejo on a square and with a pool and multiple restaurants. As we arrived, we realized that it was even better than we expected. The rooms and the lobby are gorgeous. All of the restaurants are excellent, and we ate at little tables on the town square the first night. Every evening has 2-3 forms of live music depending on where you are in the hotel. The rooftop pool has the most gorgeous evening view of the Panama City skyline and it was lovely to have a pool. I even used their gym 3-4 times during our stay, and it was well appointed, spacious, and perfect for a quick exercise. The desk staff helped us and went above and beyond many times. For example, they helped my husband get a pair of linen pants hemmed at a local tailor, as he needed some better tropical clothes. Well appointed, excellent professional staff, you will not be disappointed.

Golden Frog is an oasis in El Valle de Anton. It was even better than we hoped. There is a view from every room looking out over incredibly peaceful hills and tropical landscape. The pool and grounds are excellent and lovely to spend time in. We swam every day. They also have a lovely terrace patio restaurant and a smaller indoor coffee and bar area where you take your breakfast or have dinner. We were lucky enough to have an outside dinner on a Saturday night where there was a 3 person band playing in the midst of dinner, and it was so perfect, lively, and enjoyable. The staff go above and beyond and you are very well supported. We found it walking distance to the town and we loved the countryside walk into town. There is so much to do in the area! This is such an oasis and peaceful setting. We were sad to leave.

Really meaningful and special day. We went up the river in a dug out canoe, visited a waterfall, and then visited an Embera community. We were all part of a big community in this experience, which was neat, as it did not feel like being distanced from the community who was hosting us. Victoria our local guide and Julio our local driver were also well known by the main Embera people who hosted us and so we felt very welcome. The guide throughout our trip was Eduardo. He was fabulous. He was very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, accommodating, thoughtful, funny... The four of us on the tour would highly recommend him.

Aside from one issue, the itinerary was excellent. In our planned itinerary, we were supposed to have a day going to Portobello.on day 5. This was to be either via train (if it was running) or otherwise by car. When we arrived in Panama that day was switched with the Panama Coast to Coast Land Route. Since the land route takes us to the Colon area and Portobello is in the Colon area, I assumed that it was just a printing error. On day 5, when our guide described where we will be going (the Panama Coast to Coast Land Route), I asked if that included Portobello. He said, “No”, and had no explanation as to why we were going there rather than Portobello. Reyna did not ask us about the change in the itinerary.

After the entire trip, the four of us discussed what we liked and disliked. Everything was excellent except we all felt that there was too much time spent on the Panama Canal. Most of the Panama Coast to Coast Land Route day was spent at the observation area for viewing how the Panama Canal locks worked. It ends up that was entirely wasteful because it is essentially identical to the next day where we were on a boat trip through the Panama Canal locks. That boat trip provided the same knowledge that we had already heard at the observation area the previous day. So, we all felt that we had wasted a day and could have saved a lot of money by shortening our entire trip by one day and not missing anything important.

Reyna was a challenge to work with. (All of this is by memory rather than me checking everything.):
- She often had very delayed responses (e.g., it seemed like she typically responded a week after a question, at least until we were close to going on the trip). I do appreciate that 24/7 responses are an unreasonable expectation. David, for our Colombia kimkim tour (which we went on just before going to Panama), was able to reply in a reasonable time frame. I enjoyed working with him.
- There were a number of misunderstandings. It felt like Reyna did not have time to closely check what was previously said in our communications.
- It seemed like she did not really know what could be seen from Panama City. In other words, she did not offer any ideas beyond what is easily found on the web. At one point we were looking for activities for one more day and we decided that Portobello was the best option for the ideas she gave us.

It was nice to have all the hotels, domestic air tickets and excursions handled by someone else as we typically do it all ourselves. All the guides were well-educated and friendly, arriving on time and were versed in the activity we were doing. We used "WhatsApp" to communicate directly with our guides which was very helpful. The hotels we stayed at were lovely and we will definitely go back again.

The down side to this experience was that there was a lot of changes once got to Panama which made things a bit confusing. Times changed significantly for many of our tours (though we actually liked the changes), but it was an effort to communicate to make sure everyone was on the same page. We also did not get the bed type we requested at our first hotel and were a bit cramped in a queen vs. a king or two doubles.

This is the second time I have used KimKim to assist with a trip. My first experience was to Columbia and our specialist resided in that country. This experience was very smooth and the communication among all parties was excellent. The specialist we worked with for Panama was located in Nicargua and was more complicated. Given this limited experience, my recommendation is to check out the bio of the specialist to whom you are assigned before you begin planning your trip. Make sure they reside in the country you are visiting, and if they don't, check out their reviews for planning trips there.

Central Hotel Panama
Panama City

My husband and I stayed at the Central Hotel Panama for a total of 4 nights. It is in a fantastic location in the heart of Casco Viejo, with restaurants and shops all around it. The rooftop has a beautiful view of the city and has a nice small pool with lounges around it. The food and the staff in restaurant that is located one floor below the pool is amazing (get the Octopus!). A buffet breakfast is included and is served in the restaurant near the lobby on the main floor. We found it satisfactory, featuring a changing variety of items; however, most of the time the hot items were on the colder side and you wondered how long they had been sitting there. The staff also needed prompting to refill coffee, tea, etc. as they seem more interested in talking to each other than in helping the guests. We travel a lot and try to get hotel rooms with a bit more space. We reserved a Premium room for this reason but were suprised at how small it was. We even inquired to make sure that was the correct room type because there was barely enough space between the queen bed and desk to get to the bathroom. We had requested a king bed but did not receive it until we returned for our second stay at the end of the trip for one night. This beautiful hotel was the first hotel in Panama and has a lot of wonderful history. I gave it three stars because while we loved the location and the views on the rooftop, the service and food were not the best and the rooms were less than we were expecting based on the descriptions.

Hotel Finca Lerida
Boquete

Hotel Finca Lerida is a beautiful, outdoor-oriented, single-story, bungalow-style resort located in the lush mountains of Boquete, with sweeping views of the area. My husband and I stayed for three nights in the rooms with the hammocks outside (can't remember their name!), which were near the highest part of the resort (up the mountain). These rooms are spacious though modestly furnished, with just a desk and chair besides the bed for furniture. The bathroom is very nice with a huge, glassed-in shower. The king bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the beautiful views from the room. I absolutely loved lounging in the hammock after our activities each day listening to the birds! The temperatures up here are cooler than in town, which we enjoyed. The restaurant serves a complimentary breakfast with a limited but adequate menu. Everything is made at the time of ordering and is prepared and served by a wonderful staff. You can eat inside or outside on a deck that overlooks a beautiful view while watching a variety of birds fly around. They also have a very nice dinner menu and we enjoyed one night dining here. The resort is also a well-known coffee farm, so you can see how coffee is made and try their various varieties. They offer different tours on the property and also have some hiking trails. We walked the #1 trail that takes you through the coffee bean bushes and moutains, which was fun (about 1.5 miles). Our favorite part of this resort was the tranquil nature of its location, the gorgeous scenery and the friendly staff. That said, you pay a price for this serenity, as you are 20 minutes up a high, winding mountain road, which is trecherous at night to drive as there are local people and animals walking the road and hard to see. If you want to have drinks and dinner in town, I would highly recommend getting a taxi which the resort can arrange. You want to avoid our experience which was to be returning from town after dark and we came face to face with a large construction truck, with nowhere to go. It was touch and go there for awhile as the truck wanted us to back down the mountain in the dark! Fortunately, my husband has steady nerves and managed to inch around the truck. If you like to be away from the hustle and bustle of town, and enjoy nature, this would be a wonderful choice.

One of the tours Reyna recommended was a rain forest boat tour of Gatun lake- which is entered via the national park in Panama City. This is a real treat and not to be missed and gives a real perspective of Panama canal's history and geography. Our guide for Gatun Lake and then a visit to Colon, Jenny who is a local, was excellent. I really appreciated her enthusiasm and she clearly knew area well- not to mention where to get the best raspado in town. We spent two nights at Oro y Mar on Isla Contadora which was the most elegant hotel on the island with a beautiful private beach. This was a quiet stay as the island is small. We stayed at Island Plantation in Bocas del Toro- I can't say enough about this place- beautiful with a pool, private beach and far way yet close enough to the town to go into town. We took day trips from there with Kawi Voyage Eco-tours and our guide Sophie Garcia was fantastic. We packed a lot into this trip but it never felt like too much. Thank you Reyna and your team!

My trip to Panama was preceded by a few weeks in Costa Rica. The first difference was the heat in Panama but that was why I was here. But let's start with the planning.

Reyna was awesome from the start. I explained what I wanted to try and accomplish, and she really did a great job setting things up for me in a variety of locations and activities. I'm not sure she was expecting an old guy (60) lol, to want to do as many active or even risky activities but thats me. She was always on the spot, and I could contact her anywhere I had a signal, and she would promptly respond. A few things we scheduled I decided to modify on the fly and she made sure this went seamlessly. This was nothing she did, but more from me seeing something a little crazier and wanting to modify my activities. I can't say enough good things about her.

I started in Panama City at the Tryp hotel which was centrally located with nearby restaurants and amenities. I then began my activities the next morning. Bianca, my guide contacted me and suggested we leave earlier to catch more wildlife. I suggested an even earlier start to catch the sunrise and the animals and it was simply amazing. Bianca would be my gude for two days and she was so full of information and fun. She spoke perfect English and we hit all kinds of local stuff, local eateries at my request, (sorry I chickened out on the pigs feet, a local favorite jajaja! We Kayaked into the jungle and visited the Enberra people. Awesome.
The next day we would canoe out to a beautiful waterfall and then indigenous village. It was awesome. The food and the cultural display were very cool I took a hike around the area on my own to try and get a better idea of the people and was met and followed by the children and befriended by them It was very moving! Do this if you go!
I visited some monkey islands in the canal the next day and Casco Viejo and it was also very intereting. One more night then off Valle de Anton.

Valle De Anton was a beautiful Place and I stayed at the Mandarino Hotel. It was very beautiful in a beautiful location. If I had a complaint about any part of my trip it would be here at reception at the Mandarino. It was the only time I would encounter people that seemed to have a poor attitude towards me. They were just unpleasant, and this would be on check in and checkout. The rest of the staff I encountered were wonderful. The breakfast was great, and the beauty was spectacular. I went on a hike the next day and was contacted by Nico, an independent guide, and Cecilio the driver for the day and also my guide and driver the next day. We did a tour of different areas and a short hike, and it was awesome. Both of these guys were so good, and I would highly recommend requesting them when setting up your tours in Anton Valley.

Next up was Boca Chica. After a slight delay at the regional airport, I was off to Boca Del Mar. It was even more Beautiful than the Mandarino. Because we were arriving late the driver contacted the hotel and they stayed open so I could have a hot dinner when I arrived. The dinner was awesome, and the view was off the charts. I would take a day off and get a massage in the evening. I strongly recommend this if you are staying here. The massage was one of the best Ive ever received and I was married to a trained masseuse!! I then did the 4 hour Island tour here and it was awesome. I set this up while at the hotel Reyna had scheduled a few days of just relaxing and this was definitely the place to do that, but I was ready for action, so I did the tour. It too was absolutely breathtaking, and I highly recommend this. My final stop would be Boquete in the mountains.
I was picked up by Fernando and highly recommended requesting him for your transportation while in Boquete. He knows the entire area and most of the people with a long history here in the mountains. [email protected] He gave me many local tips and also was on the spot when I needed driver outside of the activities planned by Reyna. Reyna learned that I was on the go constantly even after the tours etc. I would stay at Finca Lerida, a working coffee plantation. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful and made great suggestions for me when I arrived early. The hike to the local waterfall was beautiful as were the entire area around me. I did the mini canyon tour, and it was a little crowded for me, but it was a holiday, and it was hot, so a lot of people were there. It did not stop me from doing a few backflips into the river though! I had a great dinner at an Argentine restaurant in town and then called Fernando when I was ready, and he drove me back to my room. My last hike was up the gasline road and to a waterfall. We saw all kinds of wildlife and had a family of Howler Monkeys come through and put on quite a show in the canopy above us. It was a great end to the adventures for tomorrow was back to Panama City and then home.
I would be back at Tryo hotel who let me check out late and were awesome as they were at the beginning of the trip. I stayed in the pool until the last minute and was transported once again to the Airport and Home.

Summary
Reyna was absolutely awesome as my trip coordinator.
My Guides and transport through Miguel tours were great. Ask for Bianca in Panama City. Nico and Cecilio in Valle De Anton, and Fernando at FGLtaxi in Boquete.

Great job KimKim. Second trip with you guys and it was perfect!

First off, awesome reception staff!! The facility was beautiful, the staff very pleasant, the location unbelievable and the breakfast was amazing. The trail has a few scrambling parts, but it is so worth it. I would stay here again!

Riande Granada Urban Hotel
Panama City

It is a nice, clean, comfortable hotel located within walking distance of stores & restaurants. Our room was rather small with 2 beds taking up most of the space, a walk-in closet that was really unnecessary and could've provided more space for guests and also had a nice large shower though. We enjoyed the pigeons coming up to or 8th story room. There are many hotels in the area so would look to stay at a different place next time, however.

Authenticity & Character
Larger rooms. The outdoor "Hot Tub" was anything but Hot. Would be nice to be able to control the Temperature locally without having to go to the Front Desk to have them turn it On & Off. Also, to have hot coffee in the AM ready-to go for traveling would be a nice benefit. We had to order, then wait for coffee, which weren't in styrofoam or other types of traveling cups.
Location
Walking distance to stores and restaurants
Staff
Very pleasant staff and eager to help with everything.
Cleanliness & Comfort
Beds were comfy, the in-house restaurant was OK, nothing special.

My trip last week included retracing family history on the maternal side of both my mother’s and father’s side of the family, celebrating 500 years of the founding of the oldest city in the Pacific, being singularly called out to belly dance in a Lebanese restaurant (and convincingly holding my own) in the middle of Panamá City, thence to receiving the warmest, kindest, globalist, most beautifulest birthday greetings from around the world on my seminal 25th-again-for-the-62nd-time-birthday for which I’m so grateful to be celebrating... what a week, I honestly don’t know where to begin...

So I’ll begin at the beginning. Panamá.

Everything about Panamá is fascinating. It’s so easy to overlook how fascinating it is, but the fates would have it that I would be in Panamá both for my birthday and for the 500th años celebration of the founding of Old Panamá City – there is nothing to overlook about these fascinations! Exploring Latin America is like going into your neighbour’s house for the first time. Your neighbour has always been there but for some reason or another you’ve never entered into their home… and then, for some reason or another you get an opportunity to enter, and for the first time you find yourself crossing over the threshold into an alternate universe and it hits you how remarkable it is to live next door to someone, greeting or commiserating on their news regularly but having no clue about what the inside of their home looks like! I think we have all been there. Latin America is that unseen habitat that you see every day … but until you’ve crossed the threshold, you’ve never seen quite in this way!

My Panamá trip took the form of a well-planned experience with kimkim, crafted to understand the stories of the 80,000+ AfroAntillians (West Indians) who travelled to Panamá before WW1 to seek better since sugar plantations gave them no hope of overcoming impoverishment and the Americans promised work to West Indians with the building the Panamá Canal - the largest engineering undertaking at that time. I visited the museums where their stories are carefully curated, walked along the coasts where their bones are buried, prayed at the churches that gathered their sorrows, celebrated their offspring who stand on their proud shoulders and tell their stories, retraced their steps from the Caribbean Sea to the Pacific Coast, connected with descendants who have not silenced their songs, learnt to cook their food on their stoves and in their kitchens and soaked up as much as I could about a brave and resilient people who sacrificed life and limb to move mountains and join oceans under the most trying of circumstances at the isthmus of a newly created country called Panamá.

The population of Panamá is only 4 million, much smaller than neighbouring Colombia or Costa Rica. Two million of these inhabitants live in the busy metropolis, Panamá City. A 360 turn brings you views of the Pacific Ocean, the National metropolitan park, colonial buildings in the Casco Viejo district or any one of the 78 international banks jostling for space on the skyline. There is a high standard of living here, despite a very rainy climate, Panamanians enjoy a relaxed lifestyle with a 80% Catholic religion but a freedom to practice various faiths evidenced by the presence of churches, mosques, temples and synagogues. The mixed population smiles easily maybe due to the benefits of their location … at the crossing of the world. With well established ports, plane and sea routes, Panamá is easy to get to and well worth a visit.

On the maternal side, my mothers’ mother’s father, (my great grandfather), shopkeeper, Ren Arthur Brathwaite never returned to Barbados after leaving to seek work in Panamá. Fearing the worst, Adele, on not hearing any news of her husband’s promised return, migrated south with her five children to seek work as a Panamá widow in Trinidad. My grandmother, Angene, at eight years old, was the youngest child of this union. On my father’s side, my grandmothers’ father, George Merritt went to Panamá on a five year work contract, from 1916 to 1920, but was never heard from again. This was my father’s maternal grandfather. It is suspected that George remained in Panamá and started a new branch of the family tree there. The memoirs of both of my great-grandparents are buried with them in Panamá. No one would know if they perished under the harsh, unsafe and unfair labour practices of the time, or if they survived and started new lives and families in Panamá. I do know however that in every geography lesson in secondary school whenever we spoke of the Panamá Canal, I felt that the stories that were being told, were stories that directly linked to me.

Our week in Panamá started with a half day city tour of Panamá La Vieja and Casco Antiguo by Yesenia of Tucaya, one of the warmest and most engaging tour guides that I have ever met on my travels. So knowledgeable, she could not hide her ancestry, love or passion for her Panamá. She brought life to the history of these original spaces.

Even before the Canal, Panamá was a meeting point in the world. The first stop on our second day provided historical context to Panamá’s connections. Portobelo, on the Pacific Coast, was the centre of export from South America to Europe in the 1700s. The mostly leaf canopied two-hour drive with sweetheart Julio (dubbed el Presidente on this trip) brought us to this historic town that is centered around a trifector of ironies. The customs house, for the counting of the precious metals that were stolen from the El Dorados of Peru and Colombia to be shipped to Spain, the two forts that manned the Pacific coast and the ubiquitous Catholic church with a life-sized replica of a Black Jesus which is ornately paraded through the streets of Portobelo every October 21 to the deeply spiritual beats of African drums. At Casa Congo, the miscegenated children of African descendants from the Fundacion Bahia de Portobelo, showed us remnants of a rich culture in song and dance. We did not stay long on the Pacific side and returned to Casco Antiguo the following day to celebrate its 500-year founding, visiting churches and viewing new Panamanians in their ornate Montuno and Pollera attire, clear Spanish derivatives. Before the week ended, we were off to Parque Santa Ana to review food traditions with a cooking demonstration in El Chorrillo, a slum in Panamá, still reeling from an American invasion of 1989. Here, we also visited a popular milliner Mario, who carries on the tradition of the making Panamá hats, erroneously named, since the hats are actually Ecuadorian! We ended the day with a visit to the AfroAntillean Museum of Panamá.

Finally, on the weekend, we made it to the Panamá Canal. We had a tour and partial transit through the Panamá Canal with the boat guide making no mention of the workers who made the marvel possible, but that oversight was corrected at a gala dinner later that day recognizing the contributions of persons who came from all over the world to construct the Panamá Canal. Full circle. Special recognition was made to several persons who contributed to the building of Panamanian culture including Irving Saladino, the only Olympic gold medalist of Panamá. Thanks to mom for accompanying me on this weeklong expedition.

I must make mention of the eeriest part of the week for me and it was not crossing through the Panamá Canal where I envisioned the many West Indian workers at the Culebra Cut as they plowed through mountains by hand to join oceans, but it was walking around the intimate AfroAntillian museum and seeing artefacts of my youth. Symbols that make me West Indian, like the posey, the pressing comb and the coal pot and realizing that the symbols of my grandmother’s house bind me as much to my history as the stories of those who went before me, who took these implements with them on their journey and how they have become our artefacts, compassionately curated in a museum. If I’m being honest, this was my first experience of seeing myself in a museum. I saw people who looked like me with a history that I recognized with experiences that I could relate to. I needed to see this. I didn’t know it before, but I needed these groundings. It was my first realization that as a member of a diaspora, there are things that hold true to who I am, recognizable truths that when you leave home, you never leave your things behind. In some small way, you travel with them and they travel with you.

Panamá turn out to be the morale boost that I did not know that I needed but one that my spirit was greedily craving. I felt this because I cried when I left Panamá, tears of relief and joy. Somewhere along the way, along my way, I had lost my way and this, my first trip to Panamá, was a reminder of what resilience looks like… that no matter what the dream is or where it takes us, or how far away we are, we have things to fall back upon to remind us of who we are, why we do what we do and why we must never ever miss an opportunity to celebrate who we are. We never know what mountains we have to move today to make the world a better place for our future selves tomorrow.

The overall experience with Zulmy and Kim Kim went beyond my expectations. Zulmy was nice to work with via the internet, and the resulting trip was excellent and enjoyable. Your planning took all the worry and stress of traveling away so we could enjoy Panama to the fullest. Our driver, Roberto, and our 2 guides were excellent and fun to travel with. I will highly recommend KimKim to anyone wanting to organize a custom vacation experience like we had. Thank you !

Zulmy did a wonderful job for us. She understood our requests and provided good options. I think she did a great job.
