Excellent and very responsive service from Esther, especially when our trip had to be rescheduled following a coup in October 2025.

The trip itself was very well planned with excellent transfers, accommodation and communication throughout.

Madagascar is a beautiful country, with amazing and friendly people, and I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

We will hopefully return!

Alicia was fantastic! So easy to work with and definitely listened to what I wanted and planned accordingly. I really appreciated a video meeting to plan, it just felt more personal. She also checked in with me on arrival, made sure I was all set and that she was available should I need something while I was there and/or the office contact. I wanted to do as much as possible and at the same time, not have to do a lot of “thinking”..please just tell me where to be and when! The app made that so easy. My trip was jammed packed in the best possible way!

Flaum: Train ride to Myrdal was just breathtaking and the forest spirit at the waterfall was unexpected. Our kayak adventure was perfect...just the right amount of time on the water. Again - our guide Greg shared so much information about the area and really made the experience much more interesting. Great hike in Flaum ... though my calves are still sore. Hotel and Food in Flam were very good. Baden: *I would have liked a tour of Bergen. While we enjoyed the Viking Village, it was a little too much time and effort. Hiking was nice. Added the Leprosy Museum which was fascinating. Needed more time at Rosendal. Rock Park was so interesting. Disappointed that our tour of the Manor didn't include inside spaces... we didn't have time to see it all. Overall just a wonderful trip. Thanks again for all of your guidance and support. Jo

We had a great trip to Albania. The country is beautiful and it being a small country it was very easy to get around and driving distances were very reasonable. Traveling in August is hot and dry, and seeing all the dry river beds makes us want to return in June, when I'm sure the country is lush and beautiful. This being said, we loved all of the fruit dripping from the trees, figs, pomegranates, grapes, nectarines, plums, and all of the other fresh produce was exactly what we were hoping for.

The hotels we visited had the most impressive views including Kerculla and Arameras pools were just magical. Kerculla was a beautiful hotel, breakfast was lovely and the view during breakfast at both hotels was incredible. Service at all the hotels was just okay. Service overall in Albania and attention to detail is not quite up to western standards but it was fine.

Our river hiking and rafting trips were fun but with dry weather, the water was limited. But still was ok. Service with the rafting company was ok. They don't explain much of anything but I think they are still learning how to do these tours!

Berat and Gjirkaster were fun to explore - driving was challenging but that was part of the fun!

The donkey experience was great because it was just our family. The boy and mom were really good and they did a good job - as a farmer I felt proud of them starting this aspect of their farm and I think their signage was fun along the donkey walk, their presentation at the table was great and we stayed until dark! This was an unexpected highlight of the trip. Really got an authentic experience with a local family.

On the other hand Bote Farms was totally the opposite. It was an ok experience, the food was good, but the pool is a algae filled not great experience, their was not enough space for all the guests to lay in chairs around the "pool", and there was just not much to do. It is not something, as a farmer, I felt was authentic. It would have been better to call it a light cooking class with a meal and skip the part hanging out by the pool. The animals were not great, kinda dirty and hot. The owners were nice and all, but if we are travelling to be in Albania I don't want to visit a place not run by Albanians. And they called it a farm to table event. but there was not really a farm. Just some gardens.

Glamping in Nivica was fun, but hot during the day. Tents were nice, but there was nothing to do during the day, and it was just hot. No one really welcomed us much at all to say where we were and about the place. It is a great spot and fun to get there in the trucks, but it lacked a little cohesiveness. Food was good, the guide was nice, and the hike was fun, and lunch at the local restaurant and a walk through the town were great.

We enjoyed the restaurant suggestions and overall they were good, but food did vary from place to place and was sometimes quite bland at the hotels and a bit overpriced. We would have enjoyed more local, out of the way, true local restaurants that locals eat at as other options for us vs tourist restaurants.

Not sure what else to write about! Thermal baths were a little bit of a let down since they are not hot, more like warm and they were a bit full of algae. Cool place though! We didn't stay long...

Thank you so much for your incredibly kind and thoughtful review. It truly means a great deal to me.
It was a real pleasure designing your Norwegian journey and, above all, knowing that the trip felt comfortable, seamless, and enjoyable from beginning to end. I’m especially happy to hear that, despite the unexpected circumstances during your travels, you always felt informed and supported. For me, that is one of the most important parts of being a travel designer. Not only creating a beautiful itinerary, but also being there to anticipate challenges, provide reassurance, and make sure you can simply enjoy the journey.
I’m also very happy to hear that Bergen, the Flåm Railway, and the fjord cruise were highlights of your time in Norway. These are some of the experiences that make this part of the country so special.
It was a pleasure working with you both, and I’m very grateful for the trust you placed in me. Knowing that the trip exceeded your expectations and that everything came together so well is the best reward I could ask for.
I wish you and your families all the best. :)

We had the best time exploring Iceland with our family of 4! Adam did an amazing job helping us plan our trip that made sense for the routes we were taking while also keeping our two children, ages 8 and 11, in mind. He recommended great restaurants, optional stops and activities that our family really enjoyed. Having a full itinerary, with all the bookings for activities, spas, hotels, car, etc, really helped take the stress out of planning and made traveling a breeze.

We were traveling specifically for the total solar eclipse, and we booked relatively late when many accommodations and activities were already filling up. Adam still managed to find us some really great accommodations, which we were so grateful for.

The eclipse day itself was challenging because there were many unknowns around traffic, crowds, weather, and how much sightseeing we could realistically do. Adam kept us updated and informed throughout and helped us understand our best options as things unfolded. We ended up seeing a lot that day on the Snaeffelsness Peninsula, but ultimately the weather led us back to the hotel for the eclipse viewing and it worked out perfectly!

Our itinerary was a little packed for us, especially with the girls dealing with jet lag the first few days, so we ended up missing some of the planned stops. However, we really appreciated having everything laid out for us. The Kimkim app was easy to navigate, and we loved being able to see the daily plan, all the stops, drive times, recommendations and details all in one place. Adam was very patient throughout the planning. I probably asked him 1000 questions, and he never once seemed bothered! He was always responsive, helpful and willing to talk through options.

Some of our favorite activities were visiting the Blue Lagoon upon arrival to Iceland, soaking in the Fontana Stream Baths and eating the rye bread while on the geothermal bakery tour, seeing real lava at the Lava show, riding Icelandic horses, and hiking on a glacier on the Katla Ice cave tour! We had an unforgettable family trip and would absolutely recommend Adam and kimkim to anyone planning a trip!

There were a number of changes in the original trip plans before we left. The Montparnasse
Tower closed for renovation. The Catacombs closed, cancelled all tickets and reopened,
with the possibility of getting a few tickets during the week before arrival. Notre Dame
stopped allowing guided tours inside about a week before we left. The cathedral was still
open to the public, so our tour was changed to the history of Notre Dame and the surrounding
area. Susan and some of her friends are Disneyland fans. We decided on a visit, and she
asked for specific times, tickets, etc., which KimKim arranged for us.

All pickups and transfers went well. Drivers were on time and helpful. Vehicles were the appropriate size for 5 people and luggage. This included CDG Airport to hotel, Disneyland
dropoff (8:30 a.m.) and pickup (11 p.m.), hotel to Gare Lyon, Nice Ville train station to hotel,
and hotel to Nice Airport. [Greg was our driver both times in Nice, and he was very pleasant and
helpful.]

Hotel Citadines Trocadero: good location*, good rooms for family group, reasonable kitchen, rather odd bathroom with tiny shower. Toilet in separate room and bathtub were okay. The staff were minimally helpful. There is a large, locked closet in the lobby to hold luggage. A self-serve laundry is onsite. The laundry app works well until you have problems or questions; then, nobody can help you. The dryer didn’t dry very well. We did not have breakfast there. It seemed to be a continental breakfast.

Antibes and Cannes. (It was interesting having a tour to these cities because we had gone past them on the train.) We met our driver / guide in the same place, along with two Russian women. Sebastian (Seb) was our guide again. It was very hot and we spent more time in the van with commentary than walking about, which worked well. We walked to meet our driver / guide Sebastian for a Monaco, Monte Carlo, Eze morning excursion. (Not sure why it is advertised this way, since you go to Eze first, then Monaco and Monte Carlo.) Seb was surprised that he had more people booked for the van than usual, but it was summer high season. He told us about history of the area and current celebrities who lived there. We had stops to see the views. It was very hot that day and the many steps in old Eze were a bit much. We arrived in Monaco in time for the changing of the guard, which is very hard to see when there is a crowd. Our family left the group at this point, since the children couldn’t go inside the casino, and we were interested in seeing the Oceanographic Museum. Unfortunately, the museum was very hot and crowded. However, Elizabeth wants to be a scientist and created her own project of taking photos and viewing the exhibits. Tour: 4 stars, museum: 3 stars Since we didn’t continue with the tour, we had to make our own way back to Nice. I had a Rick Steeves map and pocket guide which were somewhat helpful. The bus to the train station is no longer free and it was a rather long, uncomfortable ride. We managed to figure out the train and get through the crowds and back to Nice.

Palace of Versailles Day Trip with Priority Access – Half-Day Tour
Paris

Versailles, half-day tour of palace and gardens. We enjoyed seeing the palace and would have liked time to actually see the gardens. This was the part of the trip we enjoyed least. The heatwave didn’t help matters. Versailles is some distance from town. We tried hard to figure out walking, Metro, bus, etc. The only simple way to get there and to get back for an afternoon activity is by Uber. The process for sorting out groups of tourists and guides is rather disorganized. This was the first time we ever used the headphones / earbuds and device to hear the tour guide. It seems to be the most reasonable way of having multiple guides and groups of people to communicate with. However, we weren’t very happy with our guide (Leonor) or the tour. We arrived on time for a tour time which was an hour later. It was rather hard to stay with the group with so many other people there. We didn’t find the commentary very informative. After several hours, we were shown the gardens outside (through a window) and told that we had tickets to the gardens but that part of the tour was on our own. In retrospect, we think this should actually be marketed as a day-long tour with a guide in the morning and on your own in the afternoon, with the expectation of eating at the palace. There is a nice restaurant which was very crowded, a café with good food but very little seating space, and a small snack shop we noticed on our way out. Also, bathrooms are very hard to find once you are outside. Versailles 4 stars, guide maybe 3.

Sienna is always there to answer questions and make sure all our needs were met. We wanted a relaxing vacation but also be able to see the famous spots. She let us know about how each island works and gave us Athens, Naxos and one day in Santorini and it was perfect. FYI please go to Naxos if you visit Greece. During the trip we had a tiny problem with one of our activities because of the weather, kimkim was such a great help and quickly fixed our problem. The drivers were always on time and really helped made this trip stress-free. My only comments would be for one of our hotels we had bad wifi and I had a hard time checking in for my plane tickets. I would suggest asking the team for wifi tips when traveling like buying a sim card, I did not know I would need that. But overall this trip was unforgettable and I will 100% come back to kimkim for another trip!

I'm a kimkim staff member and was sent on a particular assignment where I had the pleasure of experiencing the kind of trip our travelers get to (thanks to the nature of the assignment and the Greece team's knowledge of the Ionians, culture, and operations—shout out to Alyssa, Siena, and Lea!). And while there was work to be done in between the fun, the private transfers, the hotels (Irida Boutique Hotel in Parga and Bella Venezia Historic Boutique Hotel in Corfu Town deserve special mention), and tours were awesome. The market shop and lunch in a local's house on Corfu was particularly memorable thanks to our fabulous host, Yorgos, as was touring a bee farm and meeting the family behind an olive oil press on Kefalonia.

There were a few hiccups along the way (a private transfer wasn't waiting for us as planned), but all were resolved quickly thanks to the app and the fast responses to my panic from the team.

Parga was a pleasant surprise. Touristic, yes, but for good reason. It's a nice resort beach town that had a really fun, energetic vibe, but Corfu was definitely the highlight of my trip. Oodles of culture, fantastic restaurants, and, like everywhere we traveled in the Ionians, warm-hearted people.

Hotel Review
Irida Boutique Hotel
Parga

I'm a kimkim staff member and stayed at the Irida for two glorious nights. Unfortunately, I didn't get to spend any time by the shared infinity pool, but I did enjoy two "honeymoon" breakfasts and the best views of my whole trip (seriously epic) at this very cool, hillside retreat. The walk up the drive is tough (my taxi refused to go up, though it seems this depends on the driver, as I periodically saw other taxis pick up/drop off guests), but the views more than make up for it. Each unit faces the sea, mine was the only room they had left upon booking: Stars (Irida's honeymoon suite), a Moroccan-themed room in navy and white. It was incredibly special, with a hidden kitchenette, a bed dressed in gauzy linens and 1,001 pillows, and a large floor plan (spacious foyer, living area, adjoining bedroom, and two balconies, one with a plunge pool, and comfy outdoor seating). I was a bit disappointed in the bed comfort, a little too firm for my liking, but not enough of a disappointment to warrant a star loss. The typed-up welcome note was a nice touch, as was the bowl of fruits and a plate of delicious treats. Breakfast was fairly carb-heavy and included an a la carte menu (breads, pastries, yogurt with fruit or with honey, boiled eggs, muesli, etc), and two additional offerings you have to pay for (an egg breakfast or pancakes, if I recall correctly).

Authenticity & Character
Chris and his staff are local, if not to the area, to Greece.
Location
I personally appreciated the location. You're only a 5-minute walk from Krioneri Beach and tucked enough away from the main drag so as not to be affected by all the bustle (read: noise from late-night partiers), but not so far that you can't access all amenities with relative ease—the walk of which is downhill. Though you will have a steep climb to make once you're at the base of the hotel's driveway!
Staff
Absolutely incredible, from my first hello at the front desk, to breakfast staff, and interacting with Chris, the owner, everyone is so genuinely kind and attentive. I made breakfast friends with fellow guests, and they raved about Chris before I had the chance to meet him. When I did, it was such a sweet interaction that I understand why we all love him so much. His staff, too, is very kind and courteous, and was great at referencing our earlier interactions.
Cleanliness & Comfort
Spotless. Everything seemed well cared for, from the pool area, restaurant, to every nook in my suite. I only removed a star from this rating because of the number of moth-like insects I discovered in my plunge pool, though I suspect it's nearly impossible to avoid this (the pools have an underwater light source, likely the attractant). The control panels for interior/exterior lighting, air-conditioning, etc., in my room, at least, took a little effort to get used to, mashing buttons as I tried to turn on a bedside light.
