We have rarely used tour guides, though we travel frequently. And we'd never used an online tool like Kim Kim before. It really was a great combo of tech (KimKimm) +people (Across Portugal). The trip was well planned, fit our criteria, gave us the freedom to explore while securing must-see and do activities. From the jump, Joao at Across Portugal worked with us to shape our itinerary and communicated regularly. But all that really was just the start. Joao's team at Across Portugal reached out to us via Whatsapp twice a day and, for example, linking us to the tickets we'd need for our trip to Sintra so they were handy on our phones. It felt very much like we had friends in-country to the point that somewhere along the way we started sending the team photos through Whatsapp. Perhaps though, best of all, when our flights got canceled out of Porto due to weather in Amsterdam, Joao supported us by securing transportation to and a hotel in Lisbon. All that service, plus a tech platform that was intuitive and delivered clear itineraries. So ... do see Portugal. It's an amazing place full of kind people, great food and signature moments (we'll certainly remember many as life-long travel highlights) ... And when you do, use Across Portugal and Kim Kim.

The trip to Vietnam was fantastic, from the planning stage to the return home.
Trang helped me plan the itinerary and activities for each day. I really enjoyed the peace of mind of always having a driver waiting for us at the airport and hotel for our tours.
My best experiences were the tours in the Mekong Delta and Ben Tre, Cu Chi Tunnels & Ho Chi Minh City Tour, Legendary Russian Jeep City Tour in Hanoi, and Lan Ha Bay Day Cruise.

The hotel is beautiful, right on the sand, with a restaurant serving the beach and pool. There are three restaurants in the hotel, a games room, spa, and pool. Refreshments, coffee, and a small snack were available to guests in the lobby. The room was comfortable, and we received water every day. The facilities were very clean, and the hotel garden was very well maintained. The hotel was beautifully decorated and authentic. Breakfast was spectacular.

I enjoyed visiting Hue. It was a long tour with a small group. I think if I had chosen a private tour, I would have had a better experience. I didn't like the place where they took us for lunch, as there was no menu option, and the service and food were not good. I thought that the route through Hai Van Pass and Lap An Lagoon - Lang Co beach would be attractions, but we just passed by these places. Anyway, it was interesting to visit Hue.

We loved our trip to Mexico! We booked through Kim Kim on a friend's referral, and the Kim Kim team was patient, knowledgeable, and exceptionally helpful as we navigated the process of building our customized trip plan. We went through a variety of options through the design of our trip, and Hugo and the team were extremely helpful - finding options, presenting them and waiting as we reviewed everything, giving us time to make decisions, ask questions, and then modifying as we needed to. They have a ground team support that connected with us a month before our trip date, who were kind, approachable, knowledgeable, and extremely responsive. This made us feel confident and supported from day one through the post-trip period. This team understands how to value their customers. We will definitely use them again, and we look forward to it.

It was an amazing memorable trip. Couldn't have asked for more to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Coraima and Summer were super helpful leading up to the trip, building the perfect itinerary and assisting with changes through the trip. Hotels were very comfortable, clean and we received great service. Special shout out to the guides (Tatiana, Ruth, Guadalupe, Alvaro and Carlos) were all awesome and took good care of us on the tours. One of the best trips we have had and highly recommended.

Our family trip to South Africa, booked through Kimkim, was extremely well organised from start to finish. The itinerary was well balanced, flexible and perfectly suited for travelling with children. Accommodation and activities were well chosen, and communication with the local organisers Anna-Marie and Deb was warm, clear and responsive. Thanks to Kimkim, we could fully enjoy the trip without any stress.

We had only three days in Mendoza, so we needed to get the most variety we could out of that - Carolina was really helpful in that respect, and also very accomodating with numerous changes along the way as we juggled with trying to coordinate 14 flights with a travel agent back home. She was also very patient with my millions of questions :) In those three days we covered a city tour, mountain hike, wine tasting and cycling through vineyards, and another trek through the Uco Valley where we discovered more beautiful scenery.

Trekking Quebrada del Cóndor

Our walk through this beautiful area was peaceful and soul fulfilling, made all the better by our informative and thoughtful guide, Emiliano. The view from the final mirador was spectacular. There was a traditional Argentinian plancha at the end - we are vegan, the chef (and owner) Agustin went out of his way to create something wonderful for us which was very much appreciated.

We went by car to the Venorum winery, an award winning boutique winery owned by the Altieri family, and were treated to a very informative tour followed by wine tasting (exceptional wines!). This was followed by a bike ride through vineyards and a small town to a delicious lunch at Terrazas de los Andes - another renowned winery with beautiful restaurant and surroundings.

This was a request from me, as a mountain lover, and I was not disappointed. We had views all the way of Aconcagua, at 6962m the highest peak in the Andes, South America, and the Americas. A not too strenuous hike as it is a long steady climb with not too much altitude change. Our guide Frederico was very knowledgeable. Lunch and snacks were provided and were much appreciated :)

We had an amazing time in El Chalten and Ushuaia. Erin was very patient in organising things to suit our interests, and dealt with lots of changes and tweaks as we finalised our flight details and other parts of our month long trip elsewhere. Highlights were our treks in El Chalten (delicious lunches delivered to our hotel each morning) and walking with the Penguins on the Isla Martillo. We didn't really see much of Buenos Aires as being December 31/January 1 as most places were closed (had we known we might have chosen to spend out time elsewhere on those days). The accomodation was excellent throughout as were our guides Laura and Martin in Ushuaia. The scenery from El Chalten to Ushuaia is spectacular and we would go back in an instant.

Modern boutique hotel with very comfortable beds, great aircon (essential in BA), well equipped and roomy bathroom and all very clean. Nice options for breakfast and good coffee. Nicolas on the front desk was a treasure. My only point would be that the rooms are quite noisy and we could clearly hear people in the room above, and were woken several times by people returning to their rooms late.

We had a quiet room facing the side of the building (rooms facing the roads may not be so quiet) and found the rooms to be quite spacious. Bathroom was nice and roomy too. Mixed feelings on this trek - the view at the end was absolutely spectacular so well worth the effort, and the walk through varied landscapes to get there was also appreciated.

It was such a special experience to walk among the penguins, and learn about their lives. It was reassuring to hear how protected they are despite the tourism (their numbers are growing, a good sign) and our guide Pablo was perfectly strict about respecting them and their environment, which I really appreciated. A long boat trip there, for part of which we did see seals and cormorants, and a long bus trip back (great for a nap) but all worth it for the experience.

Laura was an excellent guide on this fascinating overview of the history, flora and fauna of the national park, which is truly beautiful. Personally would have preferred one long hike as opposed to driving between three shorter walks but this is a personal preference. My recommendation would be to ask for more details of the day before confirming (which is what I wish I had done)

Full Day Perito Moreno Glacier

El Calafate

The glacier itself is of course spectacular, and we appreciated being able to walk around and enjoy the numerous pathways at our own pace. The sounds of the glacier was also amazing surprise - did not expect it and when we could find a quieter section to sit and listen was quite humbling.

The "London in a Private Black Cab" was amazing especially with John's stories and knowledge, and a bit of gossip. Delianne was such a delight as host of our private "Royal London Tour!" She is a charming hostess with wonderful inside scoops she has gained from a lively life with friends "in the know." She is the type of person you would want to have for weekly dinners to add effervescence to your life.

Kate planned a perfect week for us with smatterings of many of London's offerings tailored to what we wanted without even knowing ourselves. She was responsive when asked questions, and on top of everything. We had very little time (end of the year and Christmas holidays taking up so much of our time), so it was such a blessing to have Kate to plan the trip so beautifully. Thank you.

Could have missed this. I would have preferred an informative river cruise that told us what we were seeing with some anecdotes. This was a very nice dinner cruise with music. Something you would do for an anniversary or birthday.

From the very beginning, Mica guided us through every step of planning our trip to Argentina. Her support was incredible clear, attentive, and always making sure every detail was taken care of so our trip would be perfect.

When we arrived in Buenos Aires, we couldn’t believe the surprise: we had a shuttle to the hotel with a guide! Agostina welcomed us with such warmth that she immediately set the tone for our entire stay. She helped us with the check-in, reviewed the itinerary with us, and even talked about music and Argentine rock her recommendations were amazing. She truly made us feel at home.

The drivers who took us around were also wonderful. The entire SayHueque team made us feel like Buenos Aires was our home, and that made all the difference. They were always checking in, suggesting places to visit, and making sure everything went perfectly.

The tours were unforgettable. Our biking tour guide Patricio (he was the best!) introduced us to mate for the first time, shared local stories, and made us feel like true locals. We had so much fun! The bikes were really good too, we even got luck and got to ride on a Bamboo bike. The next day, Agostina surprised us again with an amazing walking tour full of history, fun facts, interesting songs related to the “Porteño culture” and great suggestions. We left completely amazed. Even with a huge surprise for my husband who was looking for a tshirt of a local argentine show from 30 years ago, and they were still able to do their magic!!

And to end our trip on the highest note: a tango dinner show. Front-row seats, delicious wine, incredible food, it was magical!

We just returned from a fabulous holiday to Australia and New Zealand. Vicky our travel specialist and kimkim were extraordinary in accommodating our travel goals and needs. We wanted to make the most of our special holiday and therefore had a very busy trip with lots of different locations, tours, and internal flights, etc. Vicky took our ideas of what we wanted to do and accomplish and turned them into a reality. This South Africa trip was truly exceptional from start to finish. Every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed with care making the entire experience feel seamless grounded and deeply meaningful for our group.

Working with Stephanie our local expert was a pleasure. Communication was clear timely and supportive throughout the planning process and while on the ground. She anticipated needs handled adjustments smoothly and ensured that every transition felt effortless. It allowed me to focus on the experience itself knowing logistics were fully handled.

Our guides were outstanding across every leg of the journey. They were knowledgeable engaging and deeply connected to the places we visited. Several travelers shared that the guide at Leopard Mountain was a highlight of the entire trip. His storytelling wildlife knowledge humor and presence elevated every game drive and created moments that felt both educational and magical. The broader staff at Leopard Mountain also deserve special recognition. Their warmth attentiveness and professionalism made the stay feel luxurious yet personal.

The accommodations throughout the trip were phenomenal with Leopard Mountain standing out as especially memorable. The rooms were stunning the views were breathtaking and the overall atmosphere felt peaceful and intentional. It was the kind of place where you immediately felt held by the land and the experience.

Transportation throughout the trip was reliable comfortable and well coordinated. Transfers flights and longer drives were handled smoothly which is no small feat with a multi city itinerary. Everything ran on time and without stress which made a huge difference for group travel.

The food was another highlight. Meals were consistently delicious fresh and nourishing. The food at Big Skies in particular stood out for its flavor quality and care. Healthy balanced and thoughtfully prepared it complemented the tone of the trip perfectly.

Overall this was one of the most well organized and impactful trips I have experienced. From the guides and accommodations to transportation meals and local support everything worked together beautifully. It was clear that intention expertise and care went into every aspect of the journey. I would absolutely work with this team again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a deeply enriching travel experience in South Africa.

Having done 1 trip with kimkim, we felt certain that our time in Egypt would be well organized. Having a representative meet and guide us through airports was a big plus. Our guides were amazingly knowledgeable about each temple and site and tempered the visit to our level of interest and enthusiasm. Having a driver take us to and from all destinations, somewhow being ready to pick us up at the right meeting spot despite the hundreds of cars, scooters and busses...amazed us. A highlight was dinner with a family in Cairo. Besides excellent fresh food, our host turned out to be a seasoned rower and my husband rowed a quad on the Nile. We thank Nader for all the emails and adjustments because we visited one of the most ancient countries in our world. Fantastic experience.

Shawna did a great job planning. Jesus was our contact in country, he did a wonderful job being responsive to all our needs. Our tour guide Guido in Cusco and the Sacred Valley was knowledge and experienced he went along our family’s wants and needs. A true gem!

We ha a wonderful time in Australia and New-Zeland. Vicky our specialist was wonderful. She helped us planning, she was available to answer our questions/help before and during our trip. We recommand her.

The trip was amazing and George was great to work with. Mint - our guide in Bangkok for the city tour was awesome … we all enjoyed our day with her. Our off road jeep adventure in Khao Lac was a lot of fun and full of laughs! I can not remember the drivers name but he was hilarious as well as our guide - song I think he told us to call him. They both had us laughing all day as well as being full of information. All three of us would return tomorrow and were sad to leave. Thank you for a great adventure especially with a relatively short planning time for high season.
All the accommodations were also very nice and we have no complaints!

This hotel overall was a nice stay. Rooms were nice and clean - The house keepers were very attentive. We were slightly disappointed they no longer have a spa - but plenty of others around so not end of the world. Property was nice but left with a feeling it needed over all some TLC. It was a good stay and no specific complaints - we did not stay elsewhere in the area to compare.

The tour and guides were great. It was sooo crowded and that would be the negative. Nothing that the tour could control. So many different tours and boats happening it was extremely busy. Glad we left EARLY … can only imagine the crowds of later departure.

Fun day with Song our guide and the driver was hilarious! I can not remember his name unfortunately. They were great especially since they had German and English speaking clients on the tour. Made sure we all understood what we were seeing and doing. And we all had fun!

We had a wonderful experience booking through Kimkim -- here are the highlights of the key people that we interacted with:

1) Kien -- he is based out of Vietnam but was our key contact person throughout the planning phase as well as the trip. He was always attentive to our needs, helped us every step of the way, was polite and understood what we wanted to get out of the trip. I will highly recommend him.

2) The local guides: Mr. Taiwah, Ms. Pookie, Ms. Lisa, Ms. Yun were all very helpful and responsive.
