I had arranged out 4 days in Khao Yai NP and they were outstanding. MooSi Yard Hometel was one of our favorite lodgings…just for your info. In contrast Kaeng Krachan NP was our least favorite adventure. Although it is the biggest NP in the country, it is the least developed. We drove 1.5 hrs to enter the park and then transferred to the guide’s truck which had a cracked windshield,, wasn’t clean, and the park guide spoke no English. We had expected to see birds and hike, but ended up driving on terrible, 4 wheel drive roads and taking a 45 min walk on the full day excursion. It was very disappointing and not an activity I’d recommend.
The China Town food tasting experience also not as expected. While our guide was great, the crowds were crushing in size.
All other activities were pretty much as expected.
Outstanding activities included the Elephant experience, Vespa Tour of Chiang Mai, cave visit and hiking out of Chiang Mai. The Vespa Tour guys have a really organized, friendly and fun activity.
Overall a good trip.

We had been staying in small boutique hotels for the most part so to come back to a giant resort was a little shocking. But the breakfast buffet was excellent. The service was good for the most part. It took about 45 minutes for us to check in for some reason which was frustrating. The location right on the beach in front of a nice surf break was fun for our family to surf on. And the convenience of being so close and able to go back and forth to the hotel as needed was great. The only surprise we had was that there was a Sri Lankan full moon holiday during our stay so the hotel didn't serve alcohol that day. These are monthly holidays. That would have been helpful information to disclose when we booked the hotel so we could be made aware ahead of time. Otherwise the resort was lovely.

This was one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. The location was amazing being in a national park and having animals roaming around the property. But also the service of everyone from the pool to the restuanrat was second to none. We celebrated a birthday and New Year's while there and the staff made it incredibly special. We had some confusion around our safari being booked seperate from the hotel's offered safari and were concerned about leaving for hours without having any breakfast. The hotel provided us with complimentary breakfast snacks to take on the safari so that our kids wouldn't be hungry for 4 hours. They continually went above and beyond to make our stay there very special. Our family all agreed that of the 6 hotels we stayed in during our trip to Sri Lanka, this was by far the best one.

This is a single family house not a hotel. It was very different from any of the other places we stayed during our trip around the island but it was a great change for us. The house was very clean and modern. The views of Ella were incredible. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The only issue we had were the number of bugs in the house. Because all of the sheets were white, it was really easy to see the bugs. It was a small price to pay for the gorgeous views. My only regret is that we didn't have more there.

A beautiful hotel set high above the city. It had a great view of Kandy and the surrounding area. The rooms were clean and full of character. Just FYI, there were no elephant stables at this resort! The steps to the top are no joke! We were definitely winded when we got there, but to see a temple carved into the side of a rock was an impressive site. The temple is actually a series of rooms with different purposes in Buddha statues throughout. It was interesting to observe how this temple has lasted for centuries and been so well maintained. And this site was easy to see on the same day as Sigiriya Rock.

This was a site definitely worth visiting. The views from the top were spectacular. The hike up isn’t too strenuous, but is somewhat steep. It was very neat to see the outlines of where this palace one stood as well as the cave paintings. We really enjoyed visiting this ancient site.

Our guide was not good at all. He didn’t want to be there and made every effort to do as little as possible. He gave us very little information about the site and left us to explore mostly on our own. When we waited in line to climb to the top, he left to go wait in the shade while we stood in the sun for 30 minutes, waiting to climb the steps. If your guide is Garmany, I would request someone else to hopefully have a better experience than we did.

We didn’t get a chance to do this train ride because the train service was disrupted due to the recent typhoon that affected the area. Instead, we did a bike ride and hike to the scenic nine arch Bridge. The bike ride was terrible! It was mostly uphill and our family, while mostly in good shape, all struggled to make it to the top. Our guide, as friendly and accommodating as he was. Rode a scooter, so didn’t have the same issues getting up the hill! He was nice enough to have his nephew switch with our youngest son when he wasn’t able to complete the bike ride. So our son was able to ride on the back of the scooter with him. Once we got to the spot where we could start the hike it was then a 25 minute walk over to the bridge. The bridge was beautiful, but also very crowded. Lots of tourists visiting and taking photos. Definitely a fun and memorable place to take photos and visit while in Sri Lanka. I would avoid the bike ride in the future. I do think we wouldn’t have been able to see the bridge the same way if we were on the train so walking over to it was the better way to get the full experience and take our time.

The morning safari was fine. There are so many Safari trucks all heading into the park to get in line as soon as it opens. You spend an hour just getting tickets and then getting into line to wait for the park to open. I wish I had known that ahead of time. We saw plenty of animals roaming around, but didn’t see any elephants or leopards unfortunately, we tried diligently to find a leopard for about an hour, but it was elusive. It was a fun tour, but would’ve been better if we were able to see you more animals. Because it had rained the night before many of the animals weren’t out at their normal watering holes because they had plenty of water already.

The activities she suggested were absolutely on point—especially the jet boat experience, the glow worms, and the Māori cultural experience. These were things we probably wouldn’t have booked on our own, and they ended up being some of the highlights of our trip.

She handled all of our accommodation bookings. Overall, the hotels were great. While we had a minor issue with the elevator at the hotel in Taupō, our stays in Napier and the final hotel in Auckland were excellent choices and very comfortable.

We also appreciated that she suggested additional activities we could do on our own if we had the time and energy, provided helpful restaurant recommendations, and made sure we were well informed about immigration steps before traveling. When we needed medical advice while in New Zealand, she was quick to offer helpful guidance as well.

Overall, she was thoughtful, responsive, and incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. We felt well taken care of and would highly recommend her.

We recently traveled to Finland and Estonia during the winter from USA. We typically plan trips and travel on our own when we leave the states. Because the weather can be unpredictable in Northern Finland in January, I decided to use an agent to help us with this trip. After doing research, we decided to go with Alise from KimKim as her initial itinerary was more in line with what we were looking for. After three iterations, she got the itinerary to fulfill every one of our wishes and within budget. She made the entire process very easy, communication was timely and clear, and she worked with me to plan an itinerary that was exactly what my family and I wanted to do. She seemlessly booked hotels, tranfers, private walking tours, and excursions. Every transport she arranged was punctual and friendly. The day trips were coordinated through small group companies - we always felt as if we were traveling in style - it matched what we paid for, and we were never disappointed. If you plan to do Snowmobiles, make sure you are a small group tour. We went out with 4 snowmobiles only. We passed some trips that had endless lines of snowmobiles, which I assume would have been far less fun and personable. If you do Huskies or Reindeer, be sure to go to a farm (don't do it at Santa Village, for ex.). The experience is much more personal, you will be supporting local farmers/kennels, and get a more one on one experience. We also did the ice floating which was surreal - like being a marshmallow on a water bed! Be sure to follow up if anything is included with your hotel. For ex., we stayed at the Hobo Hotel in Helsinki and it included tickets to Allas Sauna and Pools. The igloo hotel we stayed in included dinner and breakfast. Tell Alise what you are looking for (hotel in center of town, hotel with family suite, hotel in forest, whatever) and she will find options for you. It was fun to meet her when we arrived in Helsinki - definitely appreciate all she did to create a seemless and memorable trip to the Arctic.

The hotel is very well maintained and the staff were super helpful and nice. The reason for 3 stars...location. It is about 18min walk to town, which was too far in the -20 degree weather so we had to Uber to town. The lobby/bar/restaurant in the hotel closes at 10pm, so if you come home after an evening excursion, there is nowhere to get a snack or drink. Also, one of the nights we were there, the fire alarm went off around 12am. There is NO staff at the hotel after 10pm, so all of us guests were scurrying to figure out what to do and how to handle contacting the fire department. The overnight train was certainly an experience we won't forget. The cabins are TINY. If you have larger luggage, this might not be the trip for you. We had a private bathroom, which I would recommend. Although you wouldn't want to shower, it was key having a private toilet. Another note - if you are elderly, or plan to have a lot and/or heavy luggage, you might consider another way to get up north. If you stay on the second story, you have lug your bags up a few sets of very tight stairs.

Our guide was super friendly, energetic, and truly wanted to enrich our understanding of the finnish culture. We really enjoyed spending time with him. The food tour was a bit lacking - we started at the market and had a sample of traditional Finnish food (raw salmon, smoked reindeer, and shrimp salad). But that was it - he showed us stuff around the market and explained the food but we never got to try any of it which was disappointing. He then took us to a restaurant where we ordered from the menu, then we went to Fazer and got a bag of chocolates. I wish we had done more tasting, particularly in the market - and especially at Fazer. But - the guide was amazingly smart and personable. Loved spending the time with him and hearing his perspective as he was not a native finnish person. We ended the tour with a wine tasting - that saved this experience. He took us to a local wine shop and the owner introduced us to three european wines from very small wineries. Overall, it would have better to do a true tasting (small bits here and there of all things Finland, rather than stop in a restaurant to order a meal).

We did this trip since our kids have never been to a snow hotel before. It was a fun day trip but not anything you would regret missing if you don't have the time. The hotel is fun to explore - and if you have little ones (we don't) they would have a lot of fun running around this place.

We used Wild About Lapland for this excursion and I am sooooo glad we did. They offer small group experiences - our tour went out with just 4 snowmobiles (unlike others we passed with like 20 or more). Because it was a small group, we could go faster and longer. When we stopped to grill sausages and have cocoa, we could spend time chatting and telling stories with the guide and other travelers. Very fun - but layer up because it's coooollllddd out there!

Camila, our main organizer, deserves special recognition. Her attention to detail, responsiveness, and genuine care shaped the entire experience. Every transfer, tour, and connection felt effortless because she was always one step ahead. You could feel how much pride she takes in showcasing her country, and it made all the difference. She was also very patient and worked hard to get the itinerary just right.

We were also fortunate to have wonderful local guides throughout the trip. Each one brought their own personality, expertise, and passion for Chile’s landscapes, culture, and history. Whether we were exploring cities, tasting incredible food and wine, or taking in the natural scenery, our guides made every moment richer and more meaningful. Shout out to Ignacio and Jennifer who showed us around Santiago and out to the coast, Marco who spent the day with us at the geysers and desert and has a great passion for the country and photography, and every other tour was great! We appreciated and genuinely enjoyed our time with each guide. There's no part of the trip we wouldn't recommend!

It's a lot to pack in 11 days, but Camila made it possible!

Amazing scenery around San Pedro de Atacama, in particular the high elevation drive to and visit of the Tatio Geysers with guide Diego, and the Valley of the Moon hike. We saw many vicunas and flamingos!
In the Lake District town of Puerto Varas our stay at Casa Molino was amazing, with an other worldly view of Vulcan Orsono across Lago Llanquihue, with the full moon rising. Our guide there Patricio was very knowledgable on our beautiful tours of Parque Nacional Vicente Perez Rosales and of Isla Grande de Chiloe.
The final destination in our travels to Patagonia's Parque Nacional Torres del Paine offered amazing natural scenery. Staying in/near the park at Hotel Lago Grey Hotel and Los Torres Patagonia was worth it, allowing us to experience the evenings and mornings in the park. The boat tour on Lago Gray to the glaciers was beautiful. And our ultimate experience, the all day hike to the the spectacular Torres Mirador was a life experience - very challenging and totally worth it. Our Patagonia driver Daniel and guide Leo were both excellent in informing us about the history, culture and environment of Patagonia and answering our many questions.
Overall our trip to Chile was well organized by Kimkim, with seamless transport between airports, hotels and tours which allowed us to concentrate on enjoying our holiday and the amazing scenery of Chlie.

Hotel Review
Hotel Casa Molino

We really enjoyed Casa Molino, one of nicer hotels at which we have stayed. The hotel is a grand house in the countryside and right on Lago Llanquihue, with a view across to Vulcan Orsono that is unreal. We had a 2nd floor very comfortable room with huge windows facing that amazing view. The grounds and the house are immaculately kept and beautifully designed, with peaceful indoor and outdoor areas to relax and take in the view. The property has a nice short garden walk down to the lakeshore to its small beach, very nice. While staying at Casa Molino we had all our dinners there, the food and service was some of the best we had during our travels in Chile.

Authenticity & Character
This seems to be a grand country house that was converted to a botique hotel. The design of the house and the interiors is nice, warm, serene and inviting to just relax and take in the view. The grounds area also beautiful and well kept and a beautiful backdrop to the lake and house.
Location
Right on the lake and the view of Vulcan Orsono is world class. The hotel is in a rural location away from Puerto Varas which I consider a plus - quiet, peaceful and relaxing. There are country roads around that look interesting for walks and biking, we did not have time to try this.

We were surprised at how GOOD EVERYTHING was - both the expected (the majesty of Halong Bay and the wonderful organized chaotic buzz of Hanoi) and the unexpected (very interesting and fun to learn about coffee and how to make drinks, walking through the alleyways of Hanoi with a brilliant guide on a food tour, the quiet mountains, decompressing watching the Mekong Delta, the markets, the detailed discussions with guides while on long walks). I am not a foodie - worse, I am vegan - and for vegans shy of travel I should mention that the food was amazing - and guides always confirmed / called ahead and asked questions to ensure that all worked for me. I have never eaten so well or such fresh produce. Lastly, the hotels, homestays and lodges that Ashley booked for us were perfect -- small, attentive helpful staff, efficient laundry service (perfect as we travel with only carry ons) and good for a cold beer in the late afternoon post the days exploration and the night's activities. Huge thank you to Ashley and KimKim for creating such a memorable trip!

In an airport on our way home last night, my 8 year-old grandson was reading posters for various travel options. "Where do you want to go next?" I asked. "Nowhere," he said. "I want to go back to Costa Rica.." That sums up our experience. When you work with an unfamiliar travel group, you never know if you can trust the literature. We could. Everything in our week-long trip went exactly as scheduled.
The hotel our family met up at, Buena Vista Chic Hotel, was beautifully situated. The staff was kind and the breakfast was delicious. The shuttle made it possible for us to arrive on three different flights.
Our personal driver, Cesar, accommodated all of our schedule requests and navigated challenging roads and traffic conditions carefully. He even brought a booster for our youngest traveler. Translation apps on our phones helped us out when we had plans to make that exceeded our language skills.
Our tour guides in Tirimbina (Ralph on the river trip and Valeria on the night walk at the Lodge) were fun to be with as well as very knowledgable about the wildlife at hand. The children overcame their initial fears about hanging bridges and became confident discoverers of monkeys, frogs and leaf-cutter ants.
The folks at Los Lagos let us swim before our afternoon excursion to the Mistico hanging bridges, even though check in wasn't until after 3. The adults loved soaking in the hot pools and the kids adored the water slides in the cool pools. We had lunch poolside and dinner in the dining room. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. And breakfast the next morning was absolutely incredible. It was hard to tear the kids away after just one night.
The drive from La Fortuna to Quepos was challenging in its length and the hardest part of the trip. We arrived after dark and didn't know until the next morning how beautiful our beach location was at Karahé. Our rooms on the lower (beach) level were perfect both for the kids and the 2 grandmothers, giving us easy access to the water and restaurant. (I would NOT have wanted to need to cross the busy road dividing the property.) Breakfasts were very basic but dinner in the restaurant and lunches on the beach were great. We also took Ubers to 2 other restaurants.
The children skipped our excursion to Manuel Antonio Park in favor of playing on the beach. (The early start was too much for them although it put 4 of us at the front of the crowd at a very busy park). The easy walking and a good guide (Lisandro) with a telescopic lens made this visit comfortable for 2 of us with some vision and mobility issues, although I much preferred the quiet of Sarapiqui.
It was a pleasure to reconnect with "our" driver for the trip to the airport.
The trip was a total success for our family of folks ranging from 8 to 76. Thanks!

Super awesome experience! I wasn’t a huge fan of LOTR, but honestly you don’t have to be to enjoy this experience. The guide we had was so great. Super knowledgeable about what scenes were in what areas, made the whole afternoon so fun. I highly recommend!

I wish I could give this 6 stars. Our guides were awesome. Funny & easy to talk to. The kayaks & gear were great. The hot pools were great, so fun to explore the different pools & temperatures. Dinner was great, & the glow worm caves were amazing. Cooler than I expected. The kayaking back in the dark… phenomenal. The night sky was as beautiful as I’d ever seen. Loved every minute of this excursion.

We loved this Maori culture experience, from the ease of the bus pick up at our hotel, to the authentic Maori war dance upon arrival, & the small group activities & learning. It was awesome. The music & dance show was so entertaining. The food was ok… really small portions. But the experience was great.

This was one of our very favorite days in NZ. Such an amazing & beautiful hike! We loved every second of the 10 mile track. Furneaux Lodge at the end of the hike… such a beautiful setting & delicious lunch. I could have sat there for hours. The boat ride there & back was easy & conveniently located in Picton. Highly recommend!

All the transportation was on time and professional. All the hotels were beautiful with wonderful service. This was the trip of a lifetime seeing things I’ve only ever dreamed about. If I could do it over, I would spend more time in puerto natales and Torres del Paine as well as spend time in el Chalten instead of el calafate! The communication that Marcela provided from start to finish was amazing. I had never booked with a travel company before and this experience won’t be able to be topped. My guides in Puerto Natales were one of my favorite parts of the trip. Both through Patagonia Planet. Jhon on the all day bus tour through Torres del Paine was phenomenal! Paz on the lago Sarmiento hike in the park was incredible. You could tell they love what they do and love to share the area with people who appreciate it!

Hotel Review
Hotel Sir Francis Drake
Puerto Ayora

This place felt like home. Everyone was so kind and helpful but especially Carolina. She was so helpful with recommendations and was a friendly face each time I arrived back from the days adventure.

Authenticity & Character
It felt clean and comfortable with a really unique feeling of being in a house instead of a hotel.
Location
This hotel is so easy to walk to so many places! A couple blocks from the ocean and a couple blocks to any restaurant you’d like!
Staff
Carolina was incredible!! I’ve never felt so comfortable asking questions of a staff member at a place I’m staying. Everyone else was friendly and professional!
Cleanliness & Comfort

Hola Bailey,

Your feedback moved me to tears. It makes me incredibly happy to know that you had an unforgettable experience.

I sincerely hope you’ll have the opportunity to return someday and explore the areas you didn’t get to visit this time. Patagonia has so much more to offer, and it would be wonderful to help you discover more of it in the future.

Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to share your feedback. It was a pleasure being in touch with you throughout your journey.

Hasta pronto,

Our trip to Taiwan was to experience the culture and people first hand, not just form opinions from the news. Based on my input to Shirley an itinerary was planned that exceeded our expectations. We are avid travelers and have been many places around the world - each experience we had in Taiwan was unique and memorable. Logan was a wealth of information and a pleasure to spend the days with. He listened well and anticipated our needs without being prompted. Shirley kept in touch throughout and behind the scenes worked with Logan on adjusting our itinerary (added a Kavalan Whiskey Distillery Tour) when a casual discussion with my husband revealed his interest in whiskey! We loved the country and have only the best things to say. Don't hesitate to book!

Let me begin with Emerson. The first night we were in Helsinki, getting ready to fly to Kittila the next day, when we received the info that the flight had been cancelled due to the weather (-35 degrees...). Emerson jumped into action and communicated with me throughout the night, rescheduled our flights to Oulu where a bus then took us to Kittila. He also reached out to the Northern Lights Ranch, where we were expected, to notify them of our delay and to arrange for food to be available to us when we arrived late at night at our cabin. He also cancelled our aurora tours and rescheduled it for the day after. In a sentence: we were facing a potential major hiccup with our trip, and Emerson took charge, and solved every single issue. I was greatly impressed and very grateful.

Now on to the trip. Magnificent, unforgettable, spectacular. The first night in Kittila we took the aurora tour that Emerson had rescheduled with Lazy Santa Safaris (guided by Lauri), and it was absolutely stunning. Lauri drove us to the bank of a huge frozen river and we then walked through the snow and onto the river. In the middle of the darkness we were treated to an absolutely unbelievable natural show. We have some amazing pictures that will forever remind us of that night. Early that morning we also had a wonderful snowmobile tour, also with Lazy Santa. Driving the snowmobiles was a lot of fun and we were provided with suitable clothing to protect us from the incredible cold.

We also had a splendid experience with Bearhill Huskies Tours. Wow...driving the sled with those dogs was another splendid adventure. The symbiotic relation between humans and dogs was quite moving, and I will personally always remember that. Lots of fun as well at the Reindeer Farm, where we were taken around by those gentle animals. A beautiful experience;

Accomodations: The Northern Lights Ranch is an experience not to be missed. The rooms with glass ceilings, the wonderful restaurant, and the reindeers feeding experience, all conjured to give us two wonderful nights. We are planning to go back in the summer and experience a different aspect of Finland. The Arctic Hotel in Ravaniemi (sp?) was also very good. Outstanding service and great location, that allowed us to tour the very nice city of Ravaniemi (and the Santa Village). Finally the Ice Hotel...not for the faint of heart. It is an experience I am happy we did, but the night in the ice-cold rooms is definitely something that maybe you don't want to repeat :). The sauna at the hotel, on the other hand, is a must-do, with the three steps: hot sauna, ice-cave sauna, and then hot tub. My kids and I really enjoyed that.

In conclusion, I think the travel was perfectly organized, with every supplier well chosen, and everything worked like clockwork. We also had two nights at the Fabian Hotel in Helsinki, a beautiful city that is definitely work visiting. We had two lovely dinners there, including one at the Finland Caviar Shop and Restaurant, that we recommend heartily as a great conclusion.

I would definitely consider using KimKim again for my travels. We were completely satisfied and impressed.

Hello Daniele

Thank you very much for your kind feedback.

I’m really glad to hear that everything worked out so well - especially considering the extreme weather conditions. In many ways, we were lucky, and I’m happy the timing and flexibility allowed the trip to come together smoothly in the end.

It was a genuine pleasure working with you. You were wonderful guests, easy to communicate with, and adaptable when it mattered most.

Pom, our Bangkok guide, was fantastic — energetic, knowledgeable, and really helped us get the most out of the city. Bammie, our Chiang Mai guide, was also excellent — friendly, attentive, and made the experience feel special. We also had a great time in Ko Yao Noi and Phuket; the beaches were incredible. Overall this was one of the best trips we’ve ever taken, and we highly recommend this team for anyone planning a Thailand trip.
