We all felt right at home here! The rooms are designed with singles and couples in mind, much like a hostel, but it was perfect for our short stay. We had our own space in the building, which was just what we needed. Plus, there was a playground for the kids and horses to see right on the property. The place was spotless and well-kept. They do offer a small breakfast, but it’s enough to keep you going until lunch. If you need groceries or restaurants, you’re about a 15-20 minute drive from the main town.

We had an amazing time staying here! The farmhouse was perfect for all six of us. The restaurant served some of the best food we’ve ever tasted in Iceland. The kids absolutely loved the little playground with the bouncy inflatable. And the thermo spa was a real treat. The farmhouse had everything we needed for a long stay, and we wish we could have stayed longer.

Old Charm Reykjavík Apartments
Reykjavík

This apartment was a lovely one block from Reykjavik’s main street. Finding it took a few turns, as GPS can be a bit off. Plus, it’s on a one-way street, so if you miss it, you’ll have to loop around. There’s parking, but it can be a bit cramped, especially if you have a larger vehicle like we did. A smaller car would work just fine. The apartment had quite a few stairs, which is okay if you’re staying for a few nights. However, carrying big, heavy suitcases up the stairs for just one night can be a bit of a hassle. There’s plenty of room for the six of us. I definitely recommend it for a longer stay in Reykjavik, but it might not be the best choice for a quick visit.

My local specialist, Laurent, skillfully helped me figure out a loose itinerary based on my interests and set up my hotels ahead of time, so it was no muss no fuss, and the hotels were excellent and charming overall. Bosnia was relatively un-touristed when I visited, except for Mostar which lured in the day-trippers from Croatia, so it was great to not have to deal with hordes of tour buses. I had great culinary adventures with roast lamb in Jablanica, čevapi in Travnik, croissants at a 500 year old bakery in Sarajevo, fresh trout in Una National Park, and so on. There was splendid bridge architecture in Mostar, Sarajevo, Višegrad, and Trebinje. Amazing castle overlooks and old town hikes in Počitjelj, the decaying 1984 Winter Olympics venue in Sarajevo, and the sculpture garden at Ostrožac castle was incredible. Beautiful Muslim, Orthodox and Catholic holy places were often built right next to each other in nearly every town. And the river and waterfall colors throughout the country from the limestone and other rocks were incredible. Also notable, the very well done and sobering Srebrenica memorial museum and cemetery, a definite must-visit along with the numerous "Sarajevo Roses" throughout the city, awful reminders of the terrible war in the 90s. One tip: Try to mostly drive in the day time, if you can, because the roads in Bosnia are often very narrow, winding, and sometimes rough and irregularly patched

Overall we had an absolutely wonderful 10-day trip to the Basque region of Spain. This was our first time working with kimkim, and I was very impressed with the service. Our trip specialist, Coraima, was terrific - highly responsive, accessible, and very helpful in planning the type of trip and experiences that we wanted. She then " handed it off" to the logistics scheduler, Chinh, who was also very communicative and helpful. We planned multiple activities and excursions, and the guides were all excellent. The hotels were just what we wanted - not overly fancy or expensive, but quite comfortable and well situated. Also, the kimkim app was very helpful and user-friendly. Were there any hiccups? Yes, but quite minor: (1) a self-guided walking tour one day in Logrono (La Rioja) was a bit of a bust because it was a Sunday and everything was closed, (2) the e-bicycle wine tour that we took was gorgeous and really fun, but the planning could have been better - it was much longer than expected (by 3-4 hours!) and we got lost several times (but found our way eventually!). Lastly, our transfer back to the airport at the end of the trip was cancelled at the last minute by the ride company. This was definitely NOT kimkim's fault, and in fact kimkim was easy to contact and made this right extremely quickly - so their emergency service really does work. Again, we had a fantastic trip and I would definitely use kimkim again for a future vacation.

The location is beautiful - the view from our room of the wine region was stunning. However, be aware that it is not in town - a taxi to Logrono is about 20 minutes and about 25 euros each way. The rooms are odd - modular and modernistic, but clean and comfortable. As a first-time visitor to South Korea, I arrived with excitement, curiosity, and a carefully planned itinerary. Like many travelers, I wanted to see the highlights, try the food, learn about the culture, and make the most of every day.

What I did not expect was how deeply this country would affect me.

South Korea surprised me.

Not only through its history, landscapes, and traditions, but through the kindness of its people, the pride they take in their culture, and the way they welcomed visitors with warmth and sincerity.

As someone accustomed to a fast-paced lifestyle, I often find myself moving from one destination to the next without fully appreciating where I am. This journey challenged that habit. It encouraged me to slow down, observe, ask questions, and become fully present.

Looking back, that may be the greatest gift this trip gave me.

First and foremost, I would like to thank Ms. Christine. Throughout the planning process and during my travels, she remained attentive, responsive, and genuinely invested in ensuring I had a wonderful experience. International travel can sometimes feel overwhelming, but Ms. Christine’s guidance, patience, and professionalism helped create a sense of confidence and reassurance throughout my journey.

I would also like to recognize the exceptional transportation specialists who played an important role in making this experience seamless.

Mr. Kim in Seoul and Mr. Oh in Jeju consistently demonstrated professionalism, punctuality, and genuine care throughout my travels. Arriving in a new country can be intimidating, especially when navigating airports, accommodations, and unfamiliar surroundings. Both gentlemen ensured every transfer was smooth, comfortable, and stress-free. Their kindness and attention to detail allowed me to focus on enjoying the experience rather than worrying about logistics.

I would also like to extend my gratitude to the accommodations that welcomed me throughout my journey.

ENA Suite Hotel in Seoul provided a wonderful introduction to South Korea. The property was comfortable, conveniently located, and served as an excellent home base while exploring the city. After full days of sightseeing and cultural experiences, returning to a welcoming and well-maintained hotel added greatly to the overall enjoyment of my stay.

I would also like to thank Shilla Stay Plus Jeju for an exceptional hospitality experience. The accommodations, atmosphere, and attentiveness of the staff contributed significantly to my time on the island. Their professionalism and care created a relaxing environment that allowed me to fully appreciate the beauty of Jeju. Every interaction reflected the warmth and hospitality that I encountered throughout South Korea.

One of the greatest strengths of this journey was the quality of the guides who helped bring South Korea to life.

Ms. Sophia provided an exceptional introduction to Korean culture and city life. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and welcoming, helping transform Seoul from a destination I had only read about into a city I could truly appreciate and understand. Her enthusiasm for Korean culture was contagious, and her guidance created a wonderful foundation for the rest of my journey.

My experience with Mr. Simon was equally memorable. His professionalism, organization, and historical expertise elevated every location we visited. Mr. Simon has a remarkable ability to communicate information in a way that is both educational and enjoyable. His passion for history and culture allowed visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the places we explored while still having a wonderful time.

Jeju Island ultimately became the highlight of my South Korea journey, and much of that was due to the incredible guides who introduced me to different sides of the island.

Mr. Zin guided my East Coast Jeju tour and provided an outstanding experience. His energy, attentiveness, and passion for Jeju were evident from the very beginning. Whether helping guests capture beautiful photographs, explaining local history, or ensuring everyone felt included, he consistently went above and beyond. Through his guidance, I experienced locations such as Hamdeok Beach, Seongeup Folk Village, Seongsan Ilchulbong, and Manjanggul Cave in ways that made them both memorable and meaningful.

My South West Jeju experience with Mr. Jay left an especially lasting impression.

While every guide throughout my journey was exceptional, Mr. Jay had a unique ability to transform sightseeing into understanding. His explanations of Jeju’s geology, traditions, culture, language, and natural wonders allowed me to experience the island through an entirely different lens.

From Hallasan’s 1100 Altitude Wetland and Jusangjeolli Cliff to Songaksan Mountain and Bomunsa Temple, every stop felt connected to a larger story about Jeju itself. One of the most fascinating lessons involved Jeju’s oreum, often referred to as parasitic or satellite volcanic cones. What initially appeared to be beautiful scenery became a deeper lesson about the island’s remarkable geological history.

Small details became meaningful discoveries. Learning why Jeju’s hydrangeas bloom in different colors depending on soil conditions and learning the Korean word for hydrangea, 수국 (Suguk), transformed simple observations into cultural experiences.

Perhaps the greatest gift Mr. Jay gave our group was the opportunity to slow down. In a world that constantly encourages us to move faster, see more, and rush from one attraction to another, he encouraged curiosity, observation, and presence. Before this trip, Jeju was simply a destination on my itinerary. Afterward, it became a place I hope to return to.

One of the unexpected highlights of this journey was discovering how differently each region of South Korea made me feel.

Seoul energized me.

Its pace, innovation, and vibrancy demonstrated how a nation can honor its traditions while embracing the future.

The historical sites humbled me.

Learning about Korea’s resilience, sacrifices, and preservation of its cultural identity gave me a deeper appreciation for the country and its people.

Jeju changed me.

As someone accustomed to a busy lifestyle, I often find myself moving quickly from one destination to the next, focused on seeing as much as possible. Jeju invited me to do the opposite.

It encouraged me to slow down.

To observe.

To ask questions.

To appreciate the details.

To simply be present.

Whether I was admiring hydrangeas blooming along the roadside, learning about volcanic oreum, enjoying a local meal, walking along a coastal trail, or listening to stories shared by local guides, I found myself experiencing travel differently than I had before.

I visited Jeju during hydrangea season and witnessed the island dressed in remarkable shades of blue, lavender, pink, and violet. The scenery was breathtaking, but what remained with me most was not a photograph or a landmark.

It was a feeling.

A feeling of connection—to nature, to culture, and to the present moment.

Jeju is an alluring and majestic wonder, captivating visitors not through spectacle alone, but through its rare ability to inspire awe, curiosity, reflection, and peace.

Some destinations impress you for a moment.

Jeju stays with you long after you leave.

Before this trip, Jeju was simply a destination on my itinerary.

After this trip, it became a place I hope to return to.

One of the lessons I took away from this journey is that travel is about far more than transportation, accommodations, and itineraries.

Beautiful destinations can be researched.

Flights can be booked.

Hotels can be reserved.

What cannot be replicated so easily are the people who transform a destination into a meaningful experience.

Throughout my journey, I benefited from the knowledge, passion, local insight, hospitality, and genuine human connection provided by the individuals who helped bring South Korea to life.

That, to me, is the true value of travel.

The destinations were beautiful.

The experiences were memorable.

But it was the people who transformed this journey into something unforgettable.

To Ms. Christine, Mr. Kim, Mr. Oh, Ms. Sophia, Mr. Simon, Mr. Zin, and Mr. Jay—thank you.

You did not simply help me travel through South Korea.

You helped me experience it.

A piece of my heart will forever remain in South Korea, and especially on Jeju Island.

ENA Suite Hotel Namdaemun
Seoul

As a first-time visitor to South Korea, ENA Suite Hotel became my first home away from home, and I could not have asked for a better introduction to the country. The hotel’s location was incredibly convenient, allowing me to easily explore Seoul while still having a comfortable and welcoming place to return to after long days of sightseeing. Whether I was visiting cultural sites, exploring the city, or simply taking in the energy of Seoul, ENA Suite Hotel served as the perfect base for my adventures. The accommodations were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully maintained. After spending full days walking throughout Seoul, it was always comforting to return to a quiet and relaxing environment. The hotel provided exactly what a traveler hopes for—comfort, reliability, and peace of mind. What stood out most, however, was the professionalism and hospitality of the staff. Every interaction was pleasant, welcoming, and helpful. As an international traveler navigating a new country, those small moments of kindness made a meaningful difference. Seoul is a vibrant and energetic city, and ENA Suite Hotel complemented that experience perfectly. It provided the comfort, convenience, and hospitality that allowed me to fully enjoy my time in South Korea. Thank you for helping make my first visit to Seoul such a memorable experience.

Authenticity & Character
What gives ENA Suite Hotel its unique character and charm is the contrast between its exterior and interior. From the outside, it appears to be a modern hotel seamlessly integrated into the city landscape. However, once inside, guests are welcomed into a space that feels elegant, inviting, and beautifully designed. One of the most memorable areas of the property was the second-floor restaurant. The atmosphere was absolutely exceptional, with stunning décor, thoughtful design, and a refined ambiance that elevated the entire experience. It felt both sophisticated and comfortable—a space where guests could relax, unwind, and appreciate the beauty of their surroundings. Throughout the hotel, there is a sense of authenticity and attention to detail that gives the property its distinctive personality. Every space feels intentionally designed, creating an environment that is both charming and welcoming. ENA Suite Hotel is beautiful inside and out. Beyond its comfort, cleanliness, and excellent location, it possesses a character that makes it memorable long after your stay has ended.
Location
One of the greatest strengths of ENA Suite Hotel is its exceptional location. Situated in a convenient and accessible area of Seoul, the hotel provided easy access to many of the city’s most popular attractions. Its proximity to Myeongdong made it an excellent choice for shopping, dining, and exploring Seoul’s vibrant atmosphere. The hotel was also conveniently located near Gyeongbokgung Palace, allowing visitors to experience one of Korea’s most significant historical landmarks with ease. The surrounding area was well connected, making transportation simple and efficient throughout my stay. Whether exploring cultural sites, local neighborhoods, restaurants, or shopping districts, ENA Suite Hotel served as an ideal home base for discovering Seoul. For travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and accessibility, ENA Suite Hotel is a wonderful choice.
Staff
The staff at ENA Suite Hotel were truly exceptional. Throughout my stay, they consistently demonstrated professionalism, attentiveness, and a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. Every interaction was welcoming, courteous, and efficient, reflecting a level of customer service that exceeded my expectations. One experience in particular left a lasting impression. On the morning of one of my tours, I needed assistance booking a taxi. One of the hotel associates patiently took the time to help me navigate the process. Due to my location and the early hour, several taxi requests were initially unsuccessful. Rather than giving up, she remained persistent and continued working to secure transportation on my behalf. Her tenacity paid off. Once the taxi was confirmed, she promptly informed me, provided the booking details, and ensured I had everything I needed. While I stepped outside to enjoy the morning sunshine, she continued monitoring the reservation and kept me updated on the driver’s arrival time. What could have been a stressful situation became effortless because of her dedication and professionalism. Her willingness to go above and beyond was a perfect example of the exceptional hospitality I experienced throughout my stay. It was clear that the staff genuinely cared about their guests and took pride in providing outstanding service. For future travelers, you can feel confident knowing that the team at ENA Suite Hotel is not only professional and knowledgeable but also willing to go the extra mile to ensure your stay is comfortable, seamless, and memorable.
Cleanliness & Comfort
The overall condition of ENA Suite Hotel was truly impressive. Throughout my stay, the property remained spotless, impeccably maintained, and exceptionally clean. From the guest rooms to the common areas, every space reflected a high standard of care and attention to detail. It was easy to understand why ENA Suite Hotel is so highly regarded by travelers. The staff’s commitment to maintaining the property’s charm, comfort, and cleanliness was evident in every aspect of the guest experience. There was a consistent sense of pride in the way the hotel was presented and cared for, creating an environment that felt both welcoming and refined. Comfort and cleanliness are often what travelers remember most, and ENA Suite Hotel excelled in both areas. The hotel has successfully created a space that is not only beautiful and comfortable but also exceptionally well maintained. In my opinion, its dedication to hospitality, guest comfort, and cleanliness makes it truly deserving of the outstanding reputation it has earned.

Jeju Western & Southern Routes Sightseeing Day Tour
Jeju Island

Of all the experiences I had in South Korea, this tour became the one I will remember most. I booked the South West Jeju Tour expecting scenic viewpoints, beautiful photographs, and a pleasant day of sightseeing. Instead, I found myself completely captivated by an island I knew very little about and guided by someone whose passion for Jeju transformed every stop into an unforgettable experience. By the end of the day, I was no longer simply visiting Jeju. I was falling in love with it. As travelers, many of us arrive at destinations carrying the weight of busy lives. We rush from place to place, trying to see everything, photograph everything, and experience everything. In doing so, we sometimes forget to slow down long enough to truly appreciate where we are. Mr. Jay, together with Yeha Tour and Kim Kim Travel, gave me the opportunity to do exactly that. They allowed me to pause. To learn. To reflect. To be fully present. And because of that, Jeju became far more than a destination on a map. That transformation began with Mr. Jay. There are guides who tell you where to go. There are guides who explain what you are seeing. Then there are rare individuals who change the way you experience a destination entirely. Mr. Jay belongs in that final category. From the moment our journey began at Mt. Halla’s 1100 Altitude Wetland, it became clear that this would not be an ordinary tour. What initially appeared to be a beautiful mountain landscape quickly became a lesson in ecology, volcanic history, and the unique environmental conditions that make Jeju unlike anywhere else on Earth. At Jusangjeolli Cliff, I stood in awe of nature’s artistry. The volcanic columns were breathtaking, but what impressed me most was how Mr. Jay transformed a scenic overlook into a story. Suddenly, these were not simply rocks. They were evidence of powerful geological forces that had shaped an entire island and its people. The same was true at Cheonjeyeon Waterfall. Many visitors see a waterfall. Mr. Jay helped us understand its place within the larger story of Jeju. What separates this tour from many others is that Mr. Jay does not simply tell you where to look—he teaches you what you are looking at and why it matters. One of the most fascinating lessons of the day involved Jeju’s oreum, often referred to as parasitic or satellite volcanic cones. Before arriving in Jeju, I would have admired them as beautiful hills in the distance. After listening to Mr. Jay’s explanations, I understood them as living chapters of the island’s geological history. As the day progressed, I found myself viewing Mr. Jay less as a tour guide and more as a professor of Jeju itself. Not because he lectured, but because he taught. He taught us how volcanic oreum shaped the island’s landscape. He taught us why Jeju’s hydrangeas bloom in such remarkable colors and how the soil beneath them influences their appearance. He taught us Korean words, local traditions, geological history, and cultural perspectives that transformed ordinary sightseeing into meaningful understanding. What impressed me most was that every lesson felt natural. Nothing felt rehearsed. Nothing felt memorized. Instead, it felt as though we were being introduced to Jeju by someone who genuinely loved the island and wanted others to understand why. By the end of the day, I realized that Mr. Jay had accomplished something rare. He had not simply shown us Jeju. He had taught us how to see it. Lunch at the Well-being Korean Buffet became another memorable highlight. I had the opportunity to try both Jeju’s famous hairtail fish and the boiled pork, and I genuinely enjoyed both. The hairtail fish introduced me to one of Jeju’s beloved local specialties, while the boiled pork wrapped in fresh perilla leaves and paired with kimchi quickly became a personal favorite. Rather than rushing through the meal, I took my time savoring every bite. Travel teaches us through landscapes and landmarks, but Jeju also teaches through food. Finishing the meal with Korea’s famous instant coffee while reflecting on the day felt like a small but perfect cultural experience. Then came one of the most unexpected highlights of the tour. Because our group consistently arrived on time throughout the day, Mr. Jay surprised us with a bonus foot bath experience. What could have been a small gesture became one of my favorite memories. After spending the morning exploring wetlands, waterfalls, cliffs, and volcanic landscapes, the opportunity to sit, relax, and simply appreciate the journey felt incredibly rewarding. It was thoughtful, restorative, and completely unexpected. More importantly, it reflected the care Mr. Jay puts into creating memorable experiences rather than simply moving guests from one attraction to another. Following this bonus experience, we continued to O’sulloc Green Tea Field. The tea fields stretched across the landscape with remarkable elegance. There was a peaceful quality to the entire setting that encouraged visitors to slow down and appreciate the beauty around them. If there was one place where I wished I could have stayed longer, it would have been here. I found myself wanting to learn more about the tea-making process, the products, and the philosophy behind creating such a tranquil environment. As we continued to Songaksan Mountain, Jeju revealed yet another side of itself. The coastal trail offered sweeping ocean views, dramatic volcanic terrain, and endless horizons. Standing there overlooking the sea, I finally understood why so many people fall in love with Jeju. Jeju is an alluring and majestic wonder, captivating visitors not through spectacle alone, but through its rare ability to inspire awe, curiosity, reflection, and a profound sense of peace. Some destinations impress you for a moment. Jeju stays with you long after you leave. One of the most enchanting aspects of my visit was experiencing Jeju during hydrangea season. It felt as though the island had dressed itself in celebration. Hydrangeas flourished naturally along roadsides, throughout villages, near gardens, and across the countryside in stunning shades of blue, lavender, violet, pink, and white. Learning that the flowers naturally change color according to soil composition made them even more fascinating. Mr. Jay also taught us the Korean word for hydrangea: 수국 (Suguk). That small lesson perfectly captures what made this tour exceptional. A flower became a lesson in language. Language became a connection to culture. Culture became a deeper appreciation for Jeju itself. Witnessing the hydrangeas in full bloom felt like receiving a gift from the island. Our final stop at Bomunsa Temple beneath the magnificent Sanbangsan Mountain provided the perfect conclusion to an extraordinary day. Standing there surrounded by beauty, history, and tranquility, I realized something important. Before this tour, Jeju was a destination on my itinerary. After this tour, Jeju became a place I hope to return to. In a world that constantly encourages us to move faster, see more, and rush from one attraction to the next, Mr. Jay created space for something different. He encouraged curiosity. He encouraged observation. He encouraged presence. For a first-time visitor navigating a new destination, that gift proved just as valuable as the attractions themselves. The greatest lesson of the day was not found at a cliff, waterfall, temple, tea field, or mountain trail. It was learning to slow down long enough to truly experience Jeju. What impressed me most about Mr. Jay was not only his extraordinary knowledge but his sincere affection for the island. Originally from Busan, he found his roots in Jeju and now speaks about it with genuine admiration, pride, and respect. His enthusiasm is contagious. His storytelling is captivating. His knowledge is exceptional. Most importantly, his ability to help others understand Jeju is a rare gift. If Jeju Island were ever searching for someone capable of conveying its beauty, richness, culture, history, and spirit to the world, Mr. Jay would be an exceptional choice. He does not simply guide visitors through Jeju. He introduces them to its soul. If you are considering this tour, stop debating and book it. The scenery is extraordinary. The food is delicious. The locations are unforgettable. But the true value of this experience is gaining an understanding of Jeju that many visitors never have the opportunity to discover. Because of Mr. Jay, I did not simply see Jeju. I understood it. I learned from it. I experienced it. And somewhere between the wetlands of Hallasan, the volcanic cliffs, the tea fields, the hydrangea-lined roads, the coastal trails, the temple beneath Sanbangsan, and the stories that brought them all to life, I fell deeply in love with Jeju Island. A piece of my heart will forever remain there. Thank you, Mr. Jay. You did not simply provide a tour. You gave me a new way of seeing one of the most extraordinary places I have ever visited. P.S. One of my favorite surprises of the South West Jeju Tour was the bonus foot bath experience. It was such a relaxing and memorable addition to the day that I found myself wishing we could have spent a little more time there. If I could offer one suggestion, it would be to include a brief introduction to the history of the traditional foot bath, the tea products used during the experience, how the tea bags are prepared, and the intended uses or benefits of the products available. As someone who enjoys learning about local traditions and wellness practices, I would have loved the opportunity to learn more. The experience was wonderful as it was—I simply enjoyed it so much that it left me wanting to know more.

Quality of Experience
This was one of the most enriching experiences of my time in Jeju. The tour offered a wonderful balance of nature, culture, history, and relaxation. From Hallasan’s 1100 Altitude Wetland and Jusangjeolli Cliff to Cheonjeyeon Waterfall, O’sulloc Green Tea Field, Songaksan Mountain, and Bomunsa Temple, each stop felt meaningful and thoughtfully selected. I left with a much deeper appreciation for Jeju Island than I had before the tour.
Guides, Drivers and Staff
Mr. Jay was exceptional. His knowledge of Jeju’s history, geology, traditions, and culture transformed the tour from sightseeing into a true learning experience. I especially enjoyed learning about Jeju’s oreum (parasitic volcanic cones), hydrangeas, and the unique characteristics that make the island so special. His passion for Jeju was evident throughout the day, and it was clear that he genuinely wanted visitors to experience and appreciate the island as much as he does. Transportation throughout the South West Jeju Tour was excellent. The driver was exceptionally professional, and I always felt safe and comfortable traveling between destinations. Jeju's roads include winding coastal routes, mountain roads, and scenic turns, yet every journey felt smooth and well managed. The ride itself became part of the experience, allowing us to appreciate the island's beautiful landscapes while traveling comfortably from one location to the next. The coordination between the driver and guide was seamless, ensuring we arrived safely and on time at every destination. One thing that stood out to me was the energy throughout the day. Despite a full itinerary, the tour remained engaging from beginning to end. No one seemed eager to sleep through the ride because there was always something beautiful to see, learn, or anticipate around the next corner. That is a testament not only to the breathtaking scenery of Jeju but also to the professionalism of the driver and the overall quality of the tour experience.
Transport
Transportation was comfortable, organized, and punctual throughout the entire tour. The schedule flowed smoothly, allowing us to maximize our time at each destination while still feeling relaxed and unhurried. I especially appreciated how well the day was coordinated, making it easy to focus on enjoying the experience and learning about Jeju.

There were many things we LOVED about the trip. The hotel in Paris (Bastille Speria) was well appointed with all of things that , are pet peeves when I travel (if unavailable) - enough hangers, hooks in the bath, ample products, tasteful decor, wonderful lighting
And a delicious breakfast. And the coffee machine…tres bien! The tips on the bus and metro were helpful and having the vouchers and the itinerary in the app made things easy. Emergency numbers also came in handy a couple of times - no scrambling! The Hotel Medeval in Avignon was notable for a great location and VERY friendly and fun staff that made us feel right at home. The rooms were lovely and the rest of the hotel is in the middle of and update and it is a place to put on your list for a next trip. In the basement, there is a passageway that leads to the Palace of the Popes and this will become a subterranean bar in the next year of so. We went on 7 tours during the two weeks and had some great guides. We had Remy for three tours and he was very knowledgeable and had a great personality; Sonja was so fun and full of historic details in Monmart and Valerie was wonderful in Marseilles on a gourmet food tour. Konstantine, our driver for the last two days, was SO thoughtful, funny and all around nice. He got us settled and bagage checked at the airport. He went above and beyond expectations. Thank you Emile for curating a wonderful trip!

Rooms were nicely appointed and clean. The hotel is under the process of renovation and will be closed around Christmas to complete stairwell, lobby and breakfast area. Currently it could benefit from more decor in some areas; but this is coming. It is family owned and lacks that corporate cookie cutter feel.

Authenticity & Character
As noted above the place is being renovated in the common areas. The rooms have been renovated and the rest is somewhat plain; but there is a lovely plan for the renovation.
Location
Right around the corner from the Palace of the Popes, market, restaurants, etc.

Absolutely one of the best trips I've taken. I found MITA via KimKim and from the first contact I was treated as a valued old friend. I worked with Sharon directly to create a robust tour that was a combo mix of budget friendly and luxury with a private guide, and she delivered above and beyond.
Our tour began in Casablanca where we were met by our driver Rachid, who would become our best buddy, ever so kind and helpful and always at the ready to take us on to our next adventure.
Over the next 10 days we stayed in Rabat, Fez, Merzouga (Sahara desert), Valley of the Roses and ending in Marakesh. Each city/town had it's own unique flavor and Sharon chose the best local guides for each area. We walked long distances of antiquities, local markets, wandered in the desert at sunset and learning in depth history and the colorful culture of Morocco. What I most appreciated was the hotel/riads that we stayed in, right in the heart of the medinas, that at first was perplexing until I found my rythym of navigation. Each riad was special, the rooms spacious and well apointed and the staff hospitiable When I was lost a few times, I never felt unsafe at any time. Our stay in Valley of the Roses included a lunch at a personal friends home, where we cooked together and dined, spending the afternoon talking about our different cultures, what dreams each of us had, and our commonalities...young Ikram, a lovely young girl worked double duty translating and helped in getting us dressed in tradtional muslim attire, very fun to feel this age old tradition amongst women. This day was special beyond, the family was absolutely delightful.
I really appreciated knowing each day what to expect as our driver Rachid took full ownership of coordinating all of our guides and meeting points. One day there was a slight hotel issue and immediately he, Sharon and Abdou jumped in to remedy in a heartbeat.
Morocco is truly the heartbeat of civilization and learning the culture in the tour MITA created was tremendous. I cannot stress enough how impressed I was to feel so taken care of, my needs and desires met with 'can do' service.
If you're looking to travel to Morocco, this company is hands down, the best.

This is my second trip using KimKIm, and I will do so again...the vetting of numerous tour operators is challenging and they strive to deliver, and do, the best experienced travel professionals with in depth knowledge of each area of the globe.

We are a family of 6 people from the US doing a family vacation - parents and 2 sons and their wives, so all adults. Most of us had been to Paris before but not to Bordeaux and Sarlat so it was great to see some new areas. We traveled between cities by train and we had private tours of sites around Bordeaux and Sarlat. First of all, I would highly recommend Audrey and Beau Voyage for anyone going to France. The itinerary was perfect, with a nice mix of activities that everyone could enjoy. The accommodations everywhere were excellent. We especially enjoyed Le Temps Retrouve in Sarlat. Frederic was so welcoming, kind and helpful and his house was perfect for us. He made our stay so special. It was just a short walk to the city center for dinners and exploring and we did have some excellent meals there! We also liked La Maisson Bor’deaux and L’Empire Paris. Both were very well located, clean and comfortable, and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The trains worked out very well for our transportation and it was relaxing to travel that way. The train from Bordeaux to Sarlat was very busy but that was part of the adventure! Our tours were excellent. In Bordeaux, we enjoyed spending time with Gabriel. On our wine touring day around Saint Emilion, we visited 2 chateaus plus did a walking tour of Saint Emilion and another tasting there. We especially liked our tour of Chateau Fonroque. Very interesting and different from other wineries we have visited in the US. The tour to Arcachon was also very good. We all climbed the sand dune and enjoyed a glass of wine at the top. Then we took a boat tour with a lunch spread onboard that was incredible. We had enough time after the tour to get a coffee at a local cafe before continuing back to Bordeaux to catch the train to Sarlat. We did a cooking class with Bruno at O’Plaisar des Sens Restaurant in La Roque-Gegeac and it was excellent, complete with a visit to the market for shopping for fish and produce, and truffle hunting with Bruno and his dog. Such a unique and interesting experience! Very fun. Clara was very good for our 2 days of touring in Sarlat, although she seemed to be more a driver than a guide. The weather forecast for one of the days was for rain, so she was able to switch some things around so we did a little more on the first day and a little less on the rainy day. We did a boat ride in La Roque-Gageac and walking tour of the town. Then we went to Mirandes Castle, saw the bird show, and did the self-guided tour of the castle. On the rainy day, we visited Chateau Beynac and Chateau Castelnaud. We had a guided tour at Castelnaud which was good. Because of the rain, we did not get to Domme or the Gardens of Marqueyssac, but that was ok. We did appreciate the flexibility with Clara being able to change things around. It might have been nice to have a little more commentary from her as we drove around, but she was very pleasant and accommodating, so not a huge problem. We did enjoy having some free time in Sarlat as we went to the market and bought things to have a picnic lunch and we also had time to relax by the pool. In Paris, we did a boat tour on the Seine which is always a nice way to see the city. We all went to Notre Dame which is very crowded these days with so many people wanting to see the renovations. It is spectacular. I recommend getting advance reservations for this. It’s free on the official Notre Dame website. The walk-up line on a Saturday morning was huge and although I have no idea how long people were waiting, it was nice that we could just walk right in. Even though it takes a bit of planning and was slightly inconvenient to book in advance, it was well worth it in my opinion. In general, for a group our size (6), I was glad that we had made all of our dining reservations in advance. We had contacted some of the restaurants directly, and in Sarlat, Frederic was kind enough to make recommendations and advance reservations for us. Given that most of the restaurants were quite small, I think it would have been difficult to turn up without reservations. I don’t know if Kimkim makes dining reservations but we had good success by contacting restaurants directly or by emailing the hotels and asking for their assistance. I didn’t love everything about the Kimkim app. It was convenient to have all of our tickets and vouchers in one place so that part is nice. Having the itinerary on the app is nice too, although we did some customized things on our tours and the app didn’t seem to be able to keep up with that. For the most part it was correct, but for example, the tour description of Arcachon Bay was nothing like what we actually did. So there were a few little glitches like that. The other thing that I didn’t love was the “Trip Chat”. It was fine to communicate with Audrey this way; however, once I invited my family members to view the trip, they all became part of the trip chat. Since I was planning the trip with Audrey, it didn’t seem necessary to include everyone in every communication, as it often meant everyone’s phone dinging in the middle of the night due to the time difference with France. Maybe it would be good to have the option of including others in the chat part of the app. Overall, this is a minor complaint. Our trip to France was fantastic and I don’t think there was anything about the itinerary we would change. I would not hesitate to use kimkim again for booking a trip. I really liked being connected to a local tour operator who is so knowledgeable about the area and could help us put together a wonderful itinerary that we all enjoyed. Thank you for everything!

The activities that Kate planned for us were good. We were especially impressed with afternoon tea at the Manor house. High quality.

Having a private Oxford walking tour was really good. Magnus did a nice job. Obviously, private walking tours are better than group tours. The Bath walking tour was less good because we were with others.

Our highlight day was with our Cotswolds private driver and tour guide, Adge Secker. He was enthusiastic, engaging, friendly and helpful. Anyone would do well with him!

Overall, given the information we provided Kate, she did an excellent job putting together this trip. The details, tickets and vouchers were all functional and easy to find.

We would use Kim Kim again.

Our trip to Peru was our third trip with kimkim and it could not have been better! The guides, excursions, hotels, etc. were wonderful. Our guides Martin, Diego, and Wilson were kind and knowledgeable and felt like friends. My husband had stomach trouble on the trip and within an hour of notifying our guide Diego in the Sacred Valley he came to our hotel with medicine and rearranged our schedule the following day so as not to miss anything. Thank you kimkim for another amazing trip!!

The hotels were just our cup of tea, local comfort with rooms beautifully nested in the rainforests, yet safe from insects (which was a big stipulation for the mom, no visibly present arachnids - the hotels even mentioned that they did a special swipe daily). Holden and Serendipity were very accommodating to our changes and questions throughout the planning and exploration of the itinerary. All the guides were fantastic - be it Mauricio for awesome animal spotting, Bryan for rafting, Andres with AMAZING passion and knowledge of the cloud forest, or William and Gordie making me feel comfortable diving into a perceived abyss called waterfall repelling - drivers on time, service in hotels top-notch. Adrian even sent the forgotten airpods from one hotel to another, which was extra appreciated.

We were told by the travel agent that the trip was 2 hours. In fact, we found out that it was actually a 3.5 hour drive. Our drive got lost and didn't speak english. We were able to speak with the manager via phone and the local travel agent vs. What's App and ask to be taken home intead of continuing on with the tour. I've requested the travel agent give us a full refund on our excursions. At first the said it wouldn't be possible because we canceled the day of. I argued that we would never have booked the trip if they told us it was going to be 3.5 hours to the excursion instead of 2. She said they are working on getting us a refund. Sadly, we wasted an 7 hours of our trip driving in a van. We were very upset.
