Wellness Focused Hotel with great amenities. We worked out in the gym each morning, had a yummy breakfast on the veranda and then headed to the pool or beach. My husband did the paddle board fitness class and I got a massage on the beach. 10/10

Wonderful Hotel. The free boat up and down the river was an awesome addition. Centrally located with a great breakfast.

Plau did a great job on this tour. We were able to go up the trail at a quick pace and were happy she was leading the way and going at our pace.

Such a great day in the sun! We were able to snorkle both during the day and at night. The beaches were pristine and the water is warm. I typically get seasick, but didn't at all on this tour and the guides had medicine in case. At the end of the tour we saw the most incredible group of bats leaving a cave (I mean thousands) and then snorkled in the dark with bioluminescent plankton. Unforgettable!

Mark was great and we went to the most amazing bars! We went to a few different bars after and they were amazing. The bars Mark picked out were so fun, funky, and had delicious drinks (I even got mocktails and they were so yummy)

We got so full on this tour! We had a blast trying out the different street foods and seeing the bustling night life.

This was such a cool and authentic day. O, our guide, showed us local food and we tasted the most amazing Thai snacks at the market. The boat ride was relaxing and allowed us to see local thai culture up close.

Great Tour on our first day. The guide "O" was super informative and gave us a lot of information about the temples.

We loved this trip. It was such a unique way to see the city and see parts we never would have seen otherwise.

The name of this excursion is not representative of what it is. The name says it's a walk but this is a legit hike. We were not properly prepared for what we were doing and therefore didn't have appropriate footwear. There is a lot of downhill walking as well so if someone in the group has any mobility issues - be prepared. The guide was great though and ensured we went slow and took many breaks. She also scores us some really good fresh strawberries and stopped at a coffee plantation to try some local coffee! We were pretty sore the next day but were in the land of inexpensive massages so were able to get some relief!

Wonderful way to experience Ha Long Bay! Ha, the general manager, is doing a fabulous job running this cruise experience. He has a warm demeanor and is engaging with both the guests and the staff. Unfortunately, our first room we stayed in did not look like the pictures of the room we had booked. It was incredibly disappointing and uncomfortable. Ha was able to move us to a suite for our second night which changed our whole experience. If this had not happened, I would have been very disappointed. It was a game changer. The common spaces on the boat - the dining room and the top deck - were very nice and comfortable. LOVED the cooking class on how to make spring rolls. So fun! Food was plentiful and tasty. Breakfast leaned more towards serving an Asian palate than an American one. I just can't eat soup for breakfast! But, if you asked for something different they were quick to make whatever you requested. I am happy we did the 2 night experience - especially once we got a nice room! - but also, we had the opportunity for the day trip on the Sunshine boat to kayak and explore. The lunch on that boat was INCREDIBLE! The best meal we had on Ha Long Bay and the tour guide was terrific! I am really glad we had this opportunity to explore this beautiful part of Vietnam. The only sad piece was all of the plastic trash in the water. Truly shocking!

Wonderful hotel in Hanoi! VERY welcoming staff, especially Quan Hong! He was like a ray of sunshine every time we saw him. So warm and friendly. Our first room (while clean and bright) was very small and he kindly found us a little larger room when we returned. The breakfast was very delicious and our waitress always had a big smile - I am sorry I don't remember her name - and was warm and welcoming. Great location. While walking in Hanoi is a challenge, this hotel is accessible to both the old quarter and the lake!

Comfortable little hotel outside crazy Siem Reap! Room was simple, very clean, with a comfortable bed. Customer service was top notch. Breakfast was basic.

This is the nicest hotel room we have ever had!!! Truly exceptional. Big beautiful bed in an enormous bedroom with sliding glass doors to our private pool and patio. Gorgeous bathroom with claw foot free standing tub and enormous shower. Wonderful bath products and fabulous slippers. The common areas were very nice too. Beautiful outdoor pool that over looks the beach. But be aware that there are no beach chairs at this hotel. Beach chairs are available from a public offering. Gorgeous sun sets each day!! Delicious breakfast. And "buggy" rides available from your room to anywhere you need to go on the property. This hotel is set vertically up a major hillside. So not very walkable.

Really nice boutique style hotel located in the old city. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. Great bed! The hotel offers free 10 minute massages everyday and a local activity - ie flower arranging - which is a nice experience. The breakfast offering was pleasant , just not exceptional. LOVE the spa which is located just around the corner. AMAZING place!!!

Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location! The overall tone of the Anantara Riverside is very peaceful. It is a large size property with buildings only about 6 stories high - So doesn't feel like an urban hotel but, you are in the city - and has a gorgeous pool. Their sister property is right behind the hotel and is 27 stories high with a wonderful rooftop bar/restaurant (SEEN) that is a great way to get an aerial view of the city. The hotel boat shuttles are so nice (and included) and are a great way to experience life on the river and they provide transportation to ICONSIAM and the boat ferry station. The customer service at the hotel is top notch. EVERYONE from the bellman, concierge, housekeeping, and people in the restaurants was warm and attentive. We did have a little challenge when we first arrived and the manager, Hana, was quick to help us resolve the issue and was so understanding. Her level of service was much appreciated. Also, they serve THE BEST breakfast in Thailand!! In addition, the evening show with dinner was delicious and entertaining. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and the bed is heavenly! Would definitely recommend this hotel!

LOVED going out on the Sunshine boat! The food was exceptional and the guide was fantastic. Nice to get away from all the other boats and enjoy the beauty of the area. Our room was upgraded and the room was so much better!!!

The Athena was NOT the level of boat we expected. We were placed in a room at the bottom of the boat with the worst mattress I have ever experienced and without a deluxe balcony. The pictures I was sent of this booking did not match what I got. I kept thinking I must be on the wrong boat. I wasn't . The food was okay. Not great. Ha Long Bay is beautiful, despite all of the plastic floating in the water. Shocking. But, visiting the caves was very interesting and seeing the oyster farm. Also, it was just nice to be out on the water and have a chance to relax. Find another cruise line.

Learning about Ho Chi Minh was very interesting! Also, nice to get to drive around Hanoi. Busy city with some beautiful architecture. Really enjoyed walking around the lake at well. We did not do a food tour with this guide.

This area was very depressing. While I understand that these are families of refugees, there was really nothing to see but clusters of homes floating on disgusting brown water. Do not go!

Really enjoyed visiting The Elephant Sanctuary. Well organized and informative experience. Although, after speaking with other travelers who visited different Elephant sanctuaries. They were able to get closer to the elephants and touch them. I feel like maybe we didn't get the best elephant park.

I thought this was just okay. There wasn't much to see of the hill tribe. But, the white Temple was amazing! And a welcome relief from the heat.

Beautiful Temples and interesting city! I am so glad we went to this part of Thailand. Chiang Mai has a more rustic feel.

What an experience! The area is absolutely chaotic and it is wonderful to have a guide show you different foods to try.

Interesting experience to get outside of Bangkok. Our guide did add a stop at a Coconut Farm which he added and was appreciated.

The Temples in Bangkok are AMAZING! Didn't care for the Chatuchak market. It wasn't a nice quality market. Big and junky. Again our guide, while very nice, but not great. He did encourage us to try different foods on the street. Taste different fruits and treats. That was wonderful!!!

Seeing Bangkok was exciting! Our drawback was our guide. Leo was very nice but, not very good at explaining Bangkok and Thailand as a country. We wanted to know and understand more about the culture and the history.

Another amazing day, highlighted by the summer palace. We also really enjoyed spending some time with some monks at one of the temples later in the day. Monica led us through another great day with great food.

Amazing and serene temples, and mind-blowing palace grounds make this a must-do excursion. We loved the food as much as the sights.

Bucket list activity and it’s humane. Make sure to only visit places like this that rescue and save this beautiful creature.

The Amara Bangkok is a solid 3.5-star stay overall. The room size worked well for two people with luggage — not always a given in this category. The layout was practical and thoughtfully arranged, and it didn’t feel cluttered after a long travel day. You could actually open suitcases without having to reshuffle the entire room each morning. The space felt efficient and comfortable. The staff were consistently cordial and pleasant. Easy to approach, helpful when needed, and never intrusive. Service felt steady and professional. Breakfast was a strong point. A generous spread with both Thai options and familiar Western choices, allowing for variety from one morning to the next. It was a reliable and enjoyable way to start the day. There were, however, a few surprising gaps. The gym was essentially a small room with a couple of machines — no comprehensive workout setup, not even a yoga mat. The rooftop pool, which looks impressive online, turned out to be relatively small and consistently crowded. The atmosphere felt more congested than relaxing. The bar pricing was also noticeably high, edging closer to gouging than hospitality. Overall, this is not a destination hotel, and it does not position itself as one. It functions well as a practical base: comfortable room, friendly staff, and a strong breakfast. The core offering is solid, though some of the amenities do not quite align with the expectations suggested by its presentation.

Reviewing Panvaree The Greenery is not simple, because the experience genuinely pulls you in different directions. Let me start with what truly stands out. The views – 6 out of 5. Absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to limestone cliffs rising out of emerald water feels almost unreal. The early morning mist drifting across Cheow Lan Lake, long-tail boats cutting quietly through the water, sunset light hitting the rock faces — it is spectacular. Few places deliver scenery at this level. This alone makes the journey worthwhile. The staff – 6 out of 5. Pleasant, accommodating, warm, and genuinely kind. From the moment you step onto the floating dock, you feel welcomed. There is sincerity in the way they interact. A special mention to the Valentine’s Day dinner — we were pleasantly surprised by a beautifully arranged spread, with thoughtful decorations that made the evening feel festive and personal. It was an unexpected touch and very well executed. The program – 5 out of 5. Well organized and thoughtfully structured. The boat tours and lake activities are enjoyable and showcase the natural beauty of the area. The only drawback: the kayaks. The paddles are unusually heavy, which limits how long you can comfortably explore. In a setting like this, better equipment would meaningfully improve the experience. The food – 4 out of 5. Nicely presented and generous in portion. Overall good, though at times slightly bland and a bit oily for my personal taste. That said, dining while floating in the middle of the lake adds a certain magic that elevates the meal beyond the plate itself. Now the challenging part. The accommodation – 2 out of 5. The rooms are small and tight (for a couple with their luggage) . The bathroom is fully wet-style. Wi-Fi is unstable and difficult to rely on — and there is no cellular coverage. Air conditioning does not operate between 7am and 1pm. I understand the logistical constraints of running a floating resort inside a national park, and that context matters. Still, expectations should be clearly aligned with reality before arrival. Overall verdict: If you come expecting luxury comfort, you may be disappointed. If you come for nature, scenery, a unique floating experience, and very attentive staff — you will absolutely be rewarded.

We had a fantastic stay at The Tubkaak Krabi Boutique Resort in a pool-view room on the second floor. The room was thoughtfully designed, with enough space for two people and luggage without feeling tight. Everything was spotless, and we especially loved the outdoor shower — it added a relaxed, tropical feel that made the experience even more memorable. What made the stay even more special was the location. The resort sits toward the end of the road on Tubkaak Beach, away from the busier areas of Krabi. We truly appreciated that distance. It limited traffic, outside noise, and random foot traffic along the beach. The setting felt quiet, secluded, and calm — exactly what we were hoping for. It allowed the natural beauty of the beach and the sunsets to take center stage without distraction. The service is what truly elevates this property. The staff are exceptional — not just polite or efficient, but genuinely warm, attentive, and proud of what they do. There is an authenticity in their hospitality. From reception to the restaurant team, housekeeping, spa therapists, and beach staff, everyone contributed to making the stay seamless. You feel recognized. Small details are remembered. Assistance is offered naturally, without being intrusive. That level of care transforms a beautiful hotel into something personal. It makes you look forward to returning after a day out, knowing you will be welcomed with a smile and that everything is taken care of. The breakfasts and dinners were excellent in both quality and presentation. Morning yoga, paddle boarding, long beach walks, spa treatments, and cocktails at sunset directly on the beach created a perfect daily rhythm. The hotel feels intimate, calm, and refined, without being overly formal. A beautifully presented property with truly outstanding service. This is the kind of place you return to — not only for the setting, but for the people who make it special.

Our room at the De Chai The Colonial Hotel & Spa had room for 2 travelers with their luggage, with a modern, simple design, with a somewhat limited (partially obscured) view. That said, it did not detract from the overall comfort. The space was well maintained, nicely laid out, and clean. The bed was comfortable, and housekeeping kept everything in good order throughout our stay. The location is a major advantage. It is an easy walk to the Old City, multiple restaurants, temples, and numerous massage spots. The night markets are about a 10–20 minute walk away, close enough to be convenient but far enough to avoid the noise and crowds late at night. Service was excellent. The staff were genuinely caring and attentive, and interactions felt warm rather than transactional. Breakfast was good with solid variety, though the coffee was on the weaker side. Overall, a well-located hotel in Chiang Mai offering clean, comfortable rooms and consistently strong service.

Le Bel Air Resort Luang Prabang has a distinct French colonial style, visible both in the buildings and in the room we stayed in. The design carries through nicely, and the room felt cohesive and well thought out. Having a large bathroom with a generous counter and two sinks was a real plus. There was ample space for two people traveling with check-in luggage. We also enjoyed the balcony, especially in the evenings and in the morning with tea—it added to the sense of calm. From a practical standpoint, everything worked well. Water pressure was consistently good, there was plenty of hot water, and the air conditioning worked perfectly—something you really appreciate in this climate. This is a great place to relax. With relatively few guests, the property feels quiet and peaceful, offering a nice level of privacy. The atmosphere is calm and beautiful, with lush greenery throughout. Each area feels intentionally arranged, and the poolside zone is especially pleasant. The swimming pool was clean and inviting. The hotel staff was welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay, which added to the overall comfort and ease. We also appreciated the in-room and hotel amenities, including the nicely sized pool with bar service. The shuttle service to and from downtown and the night market was very convenient and made getting around easy. The main shortcoming was breakfast buffet. The selection of Lao food was very limited, and on our last day there were none at all. The Western options were average and felt repetitive. The coffee was particularly disappointing—weak, diluted, and prepared in a basic drip style into a large pot. Overall, this was a relaxing and welcoming stay. With a stronger breakfast offering, this place could easily be a top-notch hotel.

We did NOT stay and the Mintra Hotel but rather at the Salana Boutique Hotel (2 blocks away). The Salana Boutique Hotel is in a central, highly walkable location in Vientiane. Temples, restaurants, cafés, and key sights are all within easy reach, which made it simple to explore the city on foot without relying on transportation. The setting strikes a nice balance — convenient, yet not overly hectic. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming and attentive. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. Throughout our stay, the team was consistently helpful, offering advice and assisting with small requests without hesitation. That level of service makes a real difference when traveling between multiple destinations, where ease and reliability matter. Our room was a good size, with ample space for two people and luggage. The bed was comfortable, and the layout felt practical rather than cramped. The bathroom was also well proportioned, with a proper shower cubicle and good water pressure — always appreciated after a long day out exploring the city.

Our stay at MK Premier Boutique Hotel Hanoi was pleasant overall, with a few trade-offs worth noting. We had a front-facing room with a balcony, which unfortunately reduced the usable room size quite a bit. For two people traveling with luggage, the space already felt tight, and the balcony layout made it more so. Because of street noise, we didn’t end up using the balcony at all, so it felt like wasted space m. Choose a room without a balcony On the positive side, the staff were genuinely welcoming and friendly throughout our stay—helpful without being overbearing. Breakfast was also a highlight, with many options and dishes prepared fresh, which made mornings easy and enjoyable. Overall, good service and an excellent breakfast, but if space matters, a quieter, non-balcony bigger room might be the better choice.

Our full day in Bangkok was intense, colorful, and ultimately very rewarding — a comprehensive introduction to the city’s historical and cultural heart. Overall, this tour captures Bangkok’s contrasts — royal grandeur, spiritual depth, urban intensity, and river life — all in a single, well-structured day. It is full, but it delivers a strong and memorable overview of Bangkok. We loved the massage at the Wat Pho, massage school

This half-day excursion was an absolutely worth it. This was a well-paced and enjoyable half-day trip — iconic, photogenic, and uniquely Bangkok.

he morning at the Panvaree The Greenery was pleasant and relaxed, a nice way to close the stay. The boat transfer back to Cheow Lan Pier was well organized and ran smoothly. This time, the transportation logistics worked much better. The driver met us directly at the boat dock, which made the transition seamless. We were then taken comfortably to the airport, with a short stop for lunch along the way. Overall, the return journey was efficient and well coordinated.

The activities organized by Panvaree The Greenery were well paced and thoughtfully structured. There was a good balance between guided excursions and free time, allowing us to enjoy the lake without feeling rushed or over-scheduled. The boat tours, swimming , and relaxed periods to kayak or simply sit and take in the scenery created a natural rhythm to the stay. Nothing felt forced. The timing worked well with the light, the weather, and the overall atmosphere of the lake. Overall, the program was very enjoyable and contributed significantly to what became an excellent and memorable experience.

The transfer experience was less smooth than expected. The driver/guide did not speak English, so we had to communicate through the staff at The Tubkaak Krabi Boutique Resort before departure. That made coordination more complicated than it needed to be. Upon arrival at the harbor, we were dropped off in the parking lot without guidance or assistance. In a busy, somewhat chaotic setting with multiple boats and operators, it would have been helpful to be escorted to the correct pier or at least clearly handed over to the next team. Instead, we were left to navigate the situation ourselves. Yet, once we were "found" by the Panvaree The Greenery staff it was a smooth wonderful experience.

Due to weather, our original sunset 7-island tour with the bioluminescent swim was changed at the last minute to a morning 4-island tour without the bio-luminescent component (we are still waiting on clarification regarding the refund). Unfortunately, this adjustment did not feel like a good use of our time. Our hotel offered a very similar 4-island experience directly from the beach in front of the property. Had we booked locally, we would have avoided roughly two hours of travel each way, as our transfer involved picking up and dropping off other passengers along the route. In total, close to four hours of the day were spent in transit. In addition, the group size — about 16 people — made the experience feel less personal and less intimate than we had expected. A smaller boat departing directly from the hotel would likely have created a more relaxed atmosphere and a smoother flow to the day. We understand that weather conditions require flexibility, but in this case the alternative offered did not match the value or experience of the original plan.

The Tubkaak Krabi Boutique Resort was truly amazing and made our stay in Krabi both wonderful and memorable. From the setting on Tubkaak Beach to the thoughtful design and exceptional service, everything came together seamlessly. The atmosphere is calm and intimate, the property beautifully maintained, and the attention to detail evident throughout. We have only praise for this wonderful resort. It delivers not only comfort and beauty, but a feeling — of being cared for, of slowing down, of being exactly where you want to be. Highly recommended.

The Chiang Mai City Safari offers a well-paced and varied introduction to the city, combining local life, food, and major cultural landmarks in a single day. Overall, this tour works well as a structured overview of Chiang Mai. It blends transportation modes (tuk-tuk ride) , neighborhoods, food, and temples into a cohesive experience, offering both cultural context and local flavor.

The jungle hike was fun. . The walk itself was scenic and peaceful. At the village, we sampled locally grown Arabica coffee prepared by the farmers — a simple but memorable moment. We then visited the Royal Twin Pagodas, beautifully maintained and set against sweeping views. The gardens are carefully designed, and the setting gives a sense of both reverence and national pride. Lunch at the Royal Highland Project was pleasant and well organized.

The starting time of this anticipated activity was moved earlier (from 430 PM to 3 PM), while we were caught in a very long immigration line at Chiang Mai airport. As a result, we only arrived for the final 45 minutes of the Monk Chat That said, even those last 45 minutes were highly engaging. The discussion was open, thoughtful, and refreshingly direct. The monks answered questions candidly, offering insight into Buddhist practice, daily monastic life, and broader cultural perspectives. It felt authentic and unscripted. We genuinely wished we had been able to attend the full three hours. Even a short portion left us wanting more.

Both activities were unique and genuinely interesting. We learned a great deal about traditional paper making and paper art. Mrs. Ting introduced the history and vision behind preserving this craft, explaining not only the technique but also its cultural importance. The process itself was engaging — working with natural fibers and incorporating fresh flowers into the sheets gave a new appreciation for something that can appear decorative, yet carries real depth and heritage. In the afternoon, we continued to a community-based rice farm set in the countryside. There, we had the opportunity to experience aspects of a farmer’s daily routine — planting, working the fields, and understanding the rhythm of rice cultivation. It added perspective to something we often take for granted. The visit extended beyond rice. We explored small handicraft workshops, including bamboo weaving, blacksmithing, and sugarcane processing, each demonstrating skills passed down through generations. The tour concluded with a walk through the organic garden, where natural herbs and their uses in traditional medicine were explained. The day combined creativity, agriculture, and rural life — offering a grounded and authentic look at local traditions beyond the temples and city streets.

Our day in Vientiane offered a concise but meaningful introduction to Laos capital. the tour provided a well-structured overview of Vientiane’s spiritual and historical foundations, giving context to a capital that feels modest yet culturally significant. We also enjoyed the artistic interpretations of the Buddha Park

Participating in the early morning alms giving was a meaningful unique experience for us. THANKS. the visit to the Morning Market offers a completely different — and very real — side of Luang Prabang. And then the city tour provided helpful context and structure. Visiting temples such as Wat Xieng Thong, walking through historic streets, and learning about the blend of Lao and French colonial influence gave depth to a picturesque city. Together, the market and the temples provide balance — daily life and spiritual life, present and past — offering a fuller understanding of what makes Luang Prabang unique.

We enjoyed the experience and the quality of the staff, food and atmosphere. A memorable event.

Was very impressed with the family room that accommodated our family of four very comfortably. Food and service were excellent.

Boating and snorkeling conditions were not ideal so it is difficult to rate. Even in ideal conditions, stopping at 3 islands might have been a bit unnecessary unless you enjoy speedboat rides.

This was our kid's favorite and probably mine as well. The staff were so kind and interacting with the elephants was the best!

I was the least sure about this one but so glad we went. The market was very cool to see and was actually a great place to pickup souvenirs.

Lovely setting, but the beds were uncomfortable. It seemed to me that it was designed for people making a pilgrimage to Sukhothai. And that is perfectly fine. It’s a beautiful facility. The pool was excellent.

Probably my favorite hotel.

Centrally located on the Chao Praya river and has its own ferry. Very comfortable, clean rooms and beds. Excellent service. The staff were superb, as was breakfast. Great views of the river from our room.

Our guide 'Football' in Sukhothai was fantastic! He shared so much knowledge about the history of Thailand's first civilization and even helped us find the best spots for photos. His storytelling and ability to bring history to life made the full day sightseeing tour in Sukhothai memorable.

We visited an elephant camp and my wife especially enjoyed it. It was great to see the elephants treated kindly without any tourists riding on them. It was a pleasant experience seeing the elephants in a respectful environment.

The Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok was nice on the inside, but the surrounding area was not very interesting and heavily trafficked.

If you want high quality service in a beautiful hotel, this is it. Communication is amazing and they are willing to help with guest questions and requests.

Bangkok's Temples Tour was a fantastic experience, thanks largely to our guide who was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. She allowed us flexibility in exploring and was supportive without being pushy. Her excellent English skills made communication a breeze.

Shopping at Bangkok's Chatuchak Market was interesting for the cultural experience, given its massive size and variety. However, for someone who isn't a big shopper, it became repetitive over time. While enjoyable, it's something I would reconsider doing next time.

The 5 Islands Sunset Cruise was a standout experience. The tour was top-notch with exceptional professionalism and friendly service. The guides spoke both English and Spanish, making communication easy. The entire experience was well-organized and enjoyable, making it a highlight of the trip.

The food and the pool were excellent. Breakfast was especially good and the special dinner event was fun.

Food was fantastic -- the breakfast was always an event and even a light dinner was special. The modern design was not exactly Chiang Mai, but it was on the other side of the river and away from the traffic. The pool was nice and bedroom was large.

We had a great suite overlooking the lake. A great sense of old time French interiors and a nice roof deck.

Possibly my favorite hotel in the world. The colonial feel with the modern updates create a great sense of place. Service, the pool, the breakfast and dinner by the pond were all memorable.

A bit high end corporate, but executed well. The pool was the best for jet lag -- swimming at dawn with the birds is a great way to start a trip! Layout of the hotel took a couple days to understand because of the multiple buildings, but great quality and service overall.

Great insider look at the back alleys of Hanoi. It was a great cultural experience and a fascinating walk.

A bit far outside Chiang Mai at rush hour, but worth it once you get there. A lovely location to get educated about growing the ingredients, Thai food and culture. Cooking was fun and the food was delicious -- they have this one down.

A bit early to get up, but it was ideal to skip the long lines of tourists. Quiet and beautiful, it was lovely to have a guide to explain everything.

This was the only disappointment of the trip. It was over touristed and the fish were not that interesting. There were so many people on the island that there was barely a bit of sand to sit on before we could go home. A long way to go in a jolting speedboat to end up with 10 other boats filled with people. They need to figure this out before they destroy such a beautiful spot. People and food were great, but they need to ramp back the number of boats allowed at one time.

The Monk Chat was life changing. We are advanced meditators and were able to get 1:1 time with the head monk for about an hour. The rest of the group went into an intro class in another room. The time and patience KayKay took with us was priceless.

The experience of feeding the elephants and then walking through the jungle with them was totally worth it. The road to get there from LP was a disaster though -- slow and painful. Hopefully they can address this in the near future. Just be sure to get picked up on time to get there when the event starts.

This was out third time taking the vespa ride though Hanoi. Exhilarating and unique look at the city.

This resort is amazing! I rarely stay at 5-star hotels, but this is definitely one I recommend!

The Phare Circus was a unique cultural experience. It was made even better by getting the VIP treatment in that we were able to keep the aluminum water bottle as a memory of the event.

This was a memorable tour of Chinatown, while getting a chance to taste different foods. Make sure you’re hungry, because the food is filling.

This was an amazing visit to an island of “gypsies”. Very interesting tour.

Our stay at Little Hoi An Boutique Hotel was genuinely enjoyable and easy. The location is a real advantage. The hotel is within walking distance of the Old Town and many key attractions, which made getting around simple and relaxed. The free bicycles were a big plus for us—we used them and especially enjoyed a morning ride out to the rice fields just outside of town. Quiet roads, flat terrain, and a peaceful start to the day. The room was clean, well maintained, and practical, with enough space for two people and their luggage. The hotel has a calm, classic feel that suits Hoi An well. Staff were welcoming and attentive, and service felt genuine rather than rehearsed. Breakfast was solid, with good options to start the day. Overall, a comfortable, well-located boutique hotel with thoughtful extras that actually get used. A great base for exploring Hoi An, both on foot and by bike.

Our stay at Lynnaya Urban River Resort was excellent from start to finish. We wished we coukd stay longer. The room was very comfortable and thoughtfully designed, with ample space for two people and their luggage—no feeling of being cramped or having to rearrange bags constantly. The room layout really works. The outdoor shower was a standout feature: well executed, private, and honestly a pleasure to use. It added character without sacrificing comfort. Service was top notch throughout the stay. Staff were attentive, warm, and genuinely focused on making things easy and pleasant, without ever feeling scripted or overbearing. Breakfast was another strong point, with good options and solid quality, making mornings relaxed and unrushed. Overall, this is a fantastic hotel—comfortable, well designed, and very well run. A great base in Siem Reap and an easy place to recommend.

The room at White Lotus Hue Hotel was comfortable for two people traveling with luggage, which immediately made the stay easier. There was enough space to move around without constantly negotiating bags, and the room felt practical and wibell set up. Service was very good throughout—staff were attentive, friendly, and handled things efficiently. The central location is another strong point, making it easy to walk to key sights or get around Huế without much planning. Breakfast was the only minor downside. Although there was plenty of excellent food and seating, the buffet area felt chaotic, with a lot of pushing and shoving (by the hotel guests) that took away from what should have been a relaxed start to the day. Overall, a solid and convenient hotel with good service and comfort, slightly let down by breakfast organization.

The boat itself, Dora and all the other boats, stayed anchored most of the time, or moved very little. Practically everything—boarding at the port, excursions, and disembarkation—was done via small, simple shuttle boats. They were functional, not luxurious, and clearly built for logistics rather than comfort. In that sense, Dora operates more as a floating hotel than a true cruise ship. You eat on board, sleep on board, relax on deck, and enjoy the scenery from a fixed position in the bay. Explorations are done on a transporter boat. worth noting is that the sense of peace and quiet is not available . The Dora & Nearby boats run their engines frequently—even when anchored—and the smell of diesel and engine noise is quite unpleasant, which detracts from the otherwise serene setting. The staff deserves real credit. They were consistently friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Service felt warm and genuine. The food was good, well prepared and reliable, but not especially memorable or adventurous. The activities, while well organized, felt manufactured. They follow a polished script designed to move many guests efficiently through a curated version of the experience. it lacks authenticity, spontaneity or a sense of discovery. Stepping back, Ha Long Bay is undeniably beautiful. Still, after going through the full program, I’m left thinking that a well-planned day trip from Hanoi is probably sufficient to experience the bay’s essence. An overnight cruise adds comfort and atmosphere, but not necessarily deeper access or insight. In short: comfortable, pleasant, professionally run. but our goal is simply to understand and appreciate the bay, and we don’t need more than a day trip. But look for service the offers kayaking as it was the highlight of our trip on Hà Lin Bay

We really enjoyed our stay at Le Close du Fil Hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean, and genuinely comfortable, with plenty of room to settle in and relax. We especially liked the French colonial vibe—the décor is tasteful, cohesive, and gives the place real character without feeling heavy or overdone. Breakfast was good . There were choices available, and everything was freshly made, which made mornings easy and enjoyable. Overall, a comfortable and well-run hotel with charm, space, and a strong breakfast. A solid base for exploring Ninh Bình.

The Gateway Inn Pu Luong's staff provided excellent service throughout our stay and were consistently attentive and welcoming. The food options were good, well prepared, and thoughtfully presented. The rooms themselves were clean to a certain extend. However, upon check-in, some of the cups in the room and the bathroom did not appear to be clean, which was a minor but noticeable issue. Some doors did not close properly which allow flys to get in. In addition, the rooms are very rustic, which may appeal to some travelers but felt overly basic for our expectations. The room was very small without any storage space. The wet bathroom had only a sink with no counter space and storage. Furthermore, there was a hole in the wall (30x30 cm) that allowed curious guests to look into our bathroom,. We also experienced that the hot water running out mid shower each time.

We had a front-facing room with a balcony, which unfortunately reduced the usable room size quite a bit. For two people traveling with luggage, the space already felt tight, and the balcony layout made it more so. Because of street noise, we didn’t end up using the balcony at all, so it felt like wasted space. Welcoming and friendly service and an excellent breakfast, but as space matters, a quieter, non-balcony room might be the better choice.

We spent the day Exploring the Natural Beauty of Ninh Binh (Tam Coc – Hang Mua – Bich Dong) with Trung as our guide, and overall it was a very rewarding experience. Trung did an excellent job leading the day. He was organized, clear, and informative without overwhelming us. Climbing the 500 steps up Ngoa Long Mountain at Hang Mua was a highlight. It’s a proper climb — you feel it in your legs — but the view at the top absolutely justifies the effort. Dramatic limestone peaks, river winding below, rice fields stretching out. It’s the kind of panorama that makes you pause for a moment. The bike ride was another enjoyable part of the day. Cycling through the countryside, passing small villages and open fields, gave us a more grounded feel for the area. It broke up the itinerary nicely and kept the day active. The boat ride in Tam Coc was pleasant, though more structured than I expected. We followed a fixed route, and while the scenery is beautiful, there’s limited opportunity to stop or explore the temples along the river. I would rate that portion around 3/5 — still worthwhile, just less flexible than I had hoped. Overall, Trung made the experience smooth and engaging. His steady guidance, local insight, and calm presence tied everything together. Ninh Binh is visually stunning, and having a knowledgeable guide like Trung makes it much more than just a photo stop.
