We had a fantastic honeymoon trip in Thailand! Using KimKim was a great experience. Initially, I was nervous, but after talking with our agent, Tina, I felt more at ease. Wonderful customer service. Staff were very attentive and friendly. The room was spacious and had an amazing view of the city. The bed was big and pillows were soft. This hotel was the best place we stayed at during our trip. The hotel ambiance was lovely, and the location is excellent as it is close to the town center with many restaurants and shops nearby. This hotel didn't meet our expectations. The facilities in the room were not the best. The electric sockets didn't work properly. The shower kept going from hot to cold. The room felt damp even though the AC was on. The hotel was just average, it didn't meet our expectations or value for money. However their restaurants and staff service was very good. We had a fantastic family holiday in Thailand!

Lacey planned everything so perfectly… we were well looked after by our guides and drivers and particularly in relation the airport transfers which can be daunting and stressful in a new country. Extremely responsive to any issues that arose which were minimal and dealt with professionally! Thank you Lacey!

Special mention to Toto ( Bangkok guide) and Pookie (Chiang Mai guide) who were absolutely amazing and treated us so well.., we would not have had the experience we did without them. The drivers also do such a fantastic job in stressful circumstances and kept my family comfortable and safe.

Our guide in Bangkok was so amazing, my kids and I had a once in a lifetime time: Buddhas, china town, train market, water market, Monkeys, elephants, private Muay Thai class, phi phi islands, watched a Thai boxing match and so much more!!

Tina, our local specialist from Kim Kim, took our basic desires and turned it into an magical week in Thailand. Without fail every flight, transfer, meeting and accommodations were handled flawlessly and every person on our journey that she had setup was very professional and fully ready to assist us in every way. Our trip started in Bangkok where we met our guide Yee. She was fantastic. Her English was excellent, and was so accommodating. The catered to our interest and went at a perfect pace. The temples were amazing, but Yee was the highlight because she offered such great information on history, background and culture of Thailand. I can’t think of a better way to start our holiday. All of our domestic transfers on Bangkok airways were great. We learned how to register an extra bag online after first flight. Tina was great throughout the trip and responsive to any last minute questions we had. We love Koh Samui and diving in Koh Tao. Another unexpected highlight of the trip was John Gray canoe tour in Phang Nga Bay. There are so many excellent things to say about this tour. The environment, the crew, the vessel, our guide Josef, the food and Krathong flowers. It is had to describe the experience in words, but this is a must for anyone in the region. We enjoyed our time in Phuket, we made it to Similians and Phi Phi. We had a late flight on departure day and Tina helped with extending our driver. We had not made it to BigBuddha and he took us there and to Old Phuket town on our way to the airport. A great way to wrap the trip.

Our guides, Mike and Tim, were just wonderful. They made sure we saw all the items that were on our lists and even some unexpected ones. The visitation to all the Buda sites, the gold and people dressed in clothing from the country was so great. Seeing how the women made the flower decorations to honor the temples was amazing. All the areas to shop and the street food vendors were a site to see. Great time!! Now looking forward to the next adventure.

Guide Mike was fantastic! Great attitude, lots of information, took us on extra trips not in itinerary and walked us to specific shopping stores! Jim got friendly as time went on trying to use his English skills. Loved the cold water and wash cloths! I'm keeping Mike's card just in case I need it again.

I had a fantastic trip to Thailand, which mostly was focused on beaches and relaxation. Thailand is just a perfect destination for it. At the same time, it was cool to be on a traveler's side, since I am a kimkim staff, and manage the Asian region. So my feedback is based not just on the impressions and experiences, but also on the knowledge about how tours should be conducted. We had just one private sightseeing tour in Bangkok included in the itinerary and our tour guide Lina was awesome! She is so passionate about what she does, she is knowledgeable and attentive to details.
We also had all transfers included, and the minivans provided for transfers were spacious, comfortable and had great air conditioning ( which is super important in Thailand), drivers provided us with cold water all the time. We had another speedboat "join-in" tour included in our itinerary, which I highly recommend. There were options and we were recommended a sunrise tour. It was fantastic to see the famous beach from Leo DiCaprio's movie "The Beach" without people since attending a sunrise tour allows you to enter the Island before all the crowds.
Also, I'd like to highlight the hotel we stayed at at PhiPhi Island - Phi Phi Co Co resort. I think this one was the best on the Island.
To sum it up - great tour, Tina is a great specialist and I am grateful for such a wonderful vacation.

We had a wonderful trip to Thailand. Most of the trip went very smoothly however we had a few occasions where things didn't go as planned. Tina was always on hand and very responsive and did her best to try to resolve these issues. In retrospect, we also realised that we missed seeing a few important sights which we would have expected Tina to highlight for us proactively. Although we would consider booking through kimkim again, more insight about what to see and where to go as well as a more proactive level of support from the local agency would have been appreciated.

The staff was very friendly and the location along the river was nice. The food from the restaurant was also very good. Our main issue was that the air conditioning was antiquated so it took hours for the room to become a bearable temperature. That and we had several bugs and lizards in our room.

Half-Day Doi Suthep Temple Tour

This activity was substituted from our original plan due to the water festival going on. The temple itself was less grand than others we visited, but we assume that was due to the changes that needed to be made, which is understandable. The best part of this tour was our guide. I believe his name was Bee or Vee. He was so friendly, his English was excellent, and was so funny and warm. He gave us lots of great info about Thailand and Chiang Mai. We enjoyed him immensely.

We had an amazing time in Southeast Asia thanks to Tina and Kimkim! We had never used a travel agent before and desperately wanted to go to Southeast Asia but did not have time to plan our trip.

Tina worked with us across multiple iterations to customize a trip with different activities, locations, and lodging that suited our preferences. Our local guides and drivers were amazing! We did not think about the amount of hassle it would save to have all this booked ahead of time. Plus it was amazing to have local guides that we got to see multiple days in a row.

All in all, we happily recommend Tina + Kimkim and will use them again the next time we come back to Southeast Asia!

I was a little apprehensive booking this since I didn’t see too many reviews for it and wanted to make sure it was ethical. Turns out, it was an amazing experience. They talked about how they used positive reinforcement to work with the elephants they had onsite (3 females). We had an opportunity to feed them, wash them in the river, and make them a nutritious snack using local natural supplements.

Everything was pretty much amazing, there were a few things we didn’t love (like sometimes not being able to choose our food or know how long we were going to be doing an activity or how long it would take to get a place). Those kind of things come with the territory of having a guides on the ground and having someone who knows the area/culture/etc. outweighed most of our drawbacks! We even lost some nice headphones and were able to get them sent to the next place we stayed before we left to be back in the states. Overall if you’re going to a place where you don’t have experience traveling or possibly are worried about language barriers (or like us) don’t want to have to worry about the headaches of booking and transportation yourself DEFINITELY book with KimKim!

There was an issue in the itinerary, which I figured out 5 days before the trip, that required Kelly to reschedule the Bangkok portion. She immediately responded to my message and reworked that portion of the trip; handling an issue promptly is so important. In spite of that last minute needed itinerary change, we loved every activity that Kelly planned and had an absolutely amazing time.

Each guide was amazing. Nam, Kate, and Feng were immensely knowledgeable, caring, fun, organized, and kind. They were able to answer literally anything we asked and constantly made sure we had plenty of water and were well cared for. Jon and his family at the Raunkaew-Yanon Family Home for the cooking class and culture experience welcomed us into their home and taught us so much. It was a beyond incredible experience. Chi Chi at the Elephant Nature Park was knowledgeable, fun, and a sweetheart. Lily who only transported us from and to the Bangkok airport on our last night and day was caring and sweet.

The activities and guides exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend Kelly for putting together the itinerary and setting up all of the activities and guides. The guides from the company in Southeast Asia were outstanding A++.

Hotel was certainly 5-star for Cambodia, but more like 4-star for more developed countries. Food was good, but not amazing…same each day. Room was small for a 5-star hotel. There was a singer or dance group each evening which was nice. Located on the river, which was also nice.

Elephant Nature Park is so special. Their treatment of the elephants is purely ethical. We learned so much. Overnight experience is a big recommend. Food is same each day and cafeteria quality only. I had a health emergency after dinner after all staff were gone. There was no mention in the introduction of what to do in an emergency. There should be accessible staff on site 24/7 who have first aid training and supplies. I got dizzy and my speech was slurred. It took 30 minutes for us to talk to an RN in the United States. Likely my blood pressure dropped from the heat. I could have been given electrolytes and some basic care. Chi Chi was an amazing guide!!

Arti in Chiang Mai was our favorite guide, she had fantastic English and really good knowledge and stories of all the places we visited.
The hotel in Chiang Mai was great location, nice pool and the rooms were all good, however the breakfast was really poor quality and very limited would not recommend that to people on this basis.
Ko Samui was nice and hotel was fine as we were only there a couple of nights and all the activities worked well, sadly the sea around the hotel wasn't ideal as it was really murky and no wildlife visible we only saw tropical fish and corals on our boat trip. If we had stayed longer we would probably have wanted to stay in a different place.
Phuket sadly was really disappointing we thought that we were staying in Phuket old town as the description of the hotel and what we would be able to see and do made out that we were close, however on arrival we were on the other side of the peninsula to Phuket town in Patong and was really not a nice area, the beach was really busy and not very clean, it was overly touristy and full of bars, and the red light district which wasn't ideal with a family.

A Day trip to Doi Inthanon National Park!

Tina was excellent and planned our trip perfectly, with everything running smoothly and all of our activities that she included being fantastic- John Gray’s Sea Canoe was a particular highlight and I would recommend this trip to anyone visiting the area. The staff and organisation was just fantastic and the activities throughout the day were wonderful.

Our only issue on this trip was the planned visit to Elephant Jungle Sanctuary in Phuket. We had stressed that we were cautious about only doing this activity if it was completely ethical and unfortunately for us it did not seem to be- although you can’t ride the elephants, their purpose at the sanctuary is to be touched and photographed by tourists rather than just being left to roam and letting tourists observe them in their natural environment in a ‘hands-off’ way, which is what we would have preferred. We left the sanctuary without taking part in the activity so this was a waste of money and travel time for us.

Overall though, we would definitely use KimKim again to plan another trip as the whole process was smooth and easy and Tina kept in touch regularly.

Our Jungle House

This hotel is absolutely beautiful for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle and stereotypically touristy Thailand experiences. The location is right in the jungle and is such a great experience to be in the middle of nature. A particular highlight was the food- the menu is really good and the food is high quality (we are both vegetarian also, and had some of our best meals at this hotel). The only issue is that the rooms are open and there is no air-con, so (if like us you are visiting in the hot season) you will struggle to sleep at night as it is so hot and humid and you will get a lot of bugs in your room. It’s still a fantastic experience but for us we couldn’t have stayed more than two nights as we weren’t getting a good night’s sleep. The staff and activities you can do are also fantastic and we would highly recommend a stay in this hotel if you are visiting the National Park.

It is a good thing that they don’t have air-con, as this hotel is very eco-friendly, however it is very hot and humid in your room and this is uncomfortable but worth putting up with for a few nights for a fantastic stay amongst nature :)

Cannot be more positive about this trip! From start to finish it was well organised and thoroughly enjoyable. The staff on the boat were so friendly and just made so much effort to ensure that we had a great time. Our canoe guide Adam was wonderful! The food was delicious, and there were always snacks and water available throughout the day, as well as the planned meals. Vegetarians were catered for so well- in fact, this is probably the best trip I have ever been on where we felt catered for properly and not just an after thought with one food option on the buffet. The activities were also great, and even though it was a long day, we always felt that we were having fun. Highly recommend this trip to anybody visiting the area!

Tina was awesome at answering questions and with very responses! Great customer service. All of our drivers were on time and friendly. Our excursions were great! Thailand is such a beautiful country with wonderful people. We especially loved the Tree House Villa and The Shores at Katathani. Amazing properties. The Tree House stands out because of the amazing service and amenities. We plan to return to this property in the future. The only snafu I’m is that we were placed on the 2nd floor at the Panvaree The Greener Floating Bungalows . We had been specific about wanting a one-the-water room. This was disappointing since staying in a floating bungalow was something we were really looking forward to experiencing. Be very specific when working and ask for confirmation that you have the room that you expect to have. Tina suggested to Age Resturant as our last meal in Thailand before going to the airport and it was wonderful! Lovely view and great food. Our trip was the perfect blend of sight seeing and relaxation. We plan to return to this wonderful country sometime in the future.

Lacey created the most perfect itinerary for our Thailand honeymoon. We had such an amazing time we extended our trip! We were taken care of the entire time and treated like royalty! This is our second time booking with KimKim, and it was exactly what we hoped for and more.

This is probably the best resort I have ever stayed at. We loved it so much, that we extended our trip to have more free time at the resort. The private infinity pool was amazing and had an incredible view. The private beach was also very nice. There are kayaks to use at the the beach, but we were told not to go in the water due to an abundance of jellyfish. We hope to come back to Phuket and stay at this hotel.

My assigned local Specialist, Hilda, was amazing! She responded to questions and requests for adjustments to the itinerary right away on the front end. And then throughout the trip, she reached out and checked in to make sure all was going well and that I knew the next contact/scheduled item.

All of our guides were great. In particular, Lid, our guide for Ayutthaya, was very knowledgeable and friendly, and worked hard to make sure that a vegetarian member of our party had good options for lunch.

The hotel transfers were even more helpful than I expected as the guides went in with us to the airport to make sure we could figure out the process quickly and had a translator available.
