Our hotel (Hotel Santhiya) was amazing….. yoga teacher was amazing and the staff was so friendly. Jean did a wonderful job listening to our wish list and then implementing a schedule. We were away over New Years and did not see another American family while on this portion of our stay in Thailand. Our resort had wonderful amenities but was relatively small in comparison and not touristy in feel. It was incredible. Our day excursions with Mr Ya were also fabulous and off the beaten path. We got a special look into Thai island life and all the residents were so kind and welcoming. Jeab planned a perfect 4 night end to our time in Thailand. Thank you!

Mr Ya was an awesome guide. Everyone in the small village worked so hard to make our when looking at the schedule initially I didn’t realize we’d be starting our days at the same launching point. A suggestion would have been to limit day one to an afternoon of mangrove kayaking followed by the sunset and dinner. The next day we could have had an early start, visited the James Bond island, swum off a small island beach then had lunch at the village (rather than two lunches there). After spending time on the small non touristy island we would have preferred to skip the touristy island (with the floating soccer field) altogether. Just food for thought.

We had incredible guides who absolutely made this trip, but the two we had the longest really stand out - Naa, and then Nui. Their English was excellent and they were more than willing to share experiences and answer questions. They took us places that we never would have found on our own. Not only were they lovely people but they were very knowledgeable about the history and architecture - two of our favourite topics!
The planning with George, the many phones calls and emails, meant we had a trip really tailored to our interests. The fact that Kim Kim asked questions and had us fill out a survey helped me zero in on what we wanted. Plus I had done a ton of research. Once he found out what our interests were, George made additional suggestions for places we hadn’t thought of that ended up being standouts - Kanchanaburi and Erawan Falls, the cooking class in Chiang Mai, the food tour in Bangkok, the hike in Op Luong National Park, the canal tour in Bangkok and the dinner reservations at B Samcook in Chiang Mai (possibly the best meal we have ever had!) and the dinner cruise in Bangkok.
Honestly, there was not one single experience that we had on this trip where we were even remotely disappointed or felt let down. We ended every day saying ‘wow what an incredible day’. I’ve travelled enough to know how unusual that is!

The highlight of this evening was definitely the temple visits. Our guide, Tuk, was really knowledgeable about the history of the temples and also the cultural and religious aspects of Buddhism. She was so interesting! And also answered our many questions! We then had a meal together at the market and it was like chatting with a friend!

This was a beautiful hike up to Wat Pha Lat and also one of our favourite temples. It was just so beautiful and in such a serene, nature-filled spot. We drove the rest of the way up Doi Suthep but were really glad we had hiked the first part.

Such a great day!!! The staff was incredible - funny, entertaining and taught us a lot about Thai food! And it was all delicious!

The overall experience was very nice and allowed me to enjoy the trip rather than worry about the logistics. Bella and team were also very responsive whenever any questions arose. With that said, planning a trip online is convenient but also somewhat limits your interaction with the advisor and makes it a bit difficult to learn about all your options. For example, our room in Bangkok was so tiny that we could not fit our luggage. Loved the hotel and location but my bad for not confirming the room size in more detail. In general, most tours and providers used were great but unfortunately we did not enjoy our food tour in Bangkok as an example. Our guide was lovely but it felt more like a friend or a chaperone taking us to dinner at the market, not a curated experience. This will happen since you are booking with KimKim and do not know who your providers will be and can’t research them in advance. In the end, I ended up booking another food tour with a food tour company which was absolutely amazing. But all in all it’s a great way to plan a trip quickly and travel efficiently especially if you don’t have much time in a country you are visiting.

We had a very enjoyable trip. The cars provided were very spacious and comfortable and the drivers polite and efficient. W ewere met where we needed to be, except on the 21st December at Bangkok airport where we were told to meet at gate 11 ony to find there was no gate 11. It was by chance that we met our contact in the middle of the airport.

Generally the amount of time allocated to get to airports was too generous and resulted in rather a lot of waiting. For example, the drive from our hotel to Chaiang Mai airport took 20 minutes, not the 2 hours allocated. The drive from Aryasom Villas to Bangkok airport took 50 minutes but we were scheduled an 830 pick up for a 1240 flight. Of course extra time has to allowed for possible problems, but thiswas too long.
Apart from that, everything went very well. We were really pleased Tina was able to cancel the flights from Phuket to Chian g Mai and arrange for a cash refund.

Our guide in Thailand, Mal-ed, was excellent in all aspects of his work. He was thorough in his explanation of history, culture, religion, sites, events, and even understood the nuanced nature of a U.S. sense of humor. On days we had that were not heavily packed with activity, he provided a list of suggestions for things we could see or do including places to eat.

Chosing Kimkim was a leap of faith for us. It was our first time using a travel agent. It turned out to be a good decision. Kimkim put us in contact with Minah from Prestigo Asia. Minah's initial proposal was almost ideal. She proposed some destinations that we didn't know about that we decided to include in our itinerary, like Khao Sok National Park and Koh Yao Noi. After giving our feedback we ended up with a great plan.

Once the trip started we were very happy with the hotel selections and the organisation of the guides and transport connections. We were also very happy with the contact number that we could call any time in case of issues. We used it once for a minor issue which was reolved immediately.

Our trip to Thailand was amazing! Kien did a great job of planning really interesting tours and fantastic hotels. He responded very quickly and took care of all our questions and concerns. I will absolutely use Kimkim again for our next trips. I could not have planned a better trip- perfect blend of activities and relaxation.

Can you do it by yourself? Maybe, but if you work with kimkim, you KNOW they'll get it right.

This was my second assisted trip. I didn't have the time to plan my own itinerary, and having gotten myself to the other side of the world, I knew I didn't want to mess around bumbling around and going to beaches that weren't the right vibe. Bella put together the perfect itinerary for me, combining some excursions for snorkeling, rock climbing and sea kayaking with some planned downtime. Without Bella, I never would have known about Koh Yao Noi as a possibility. She was able to troubleshoot minor issues as they arose during the trip and was always there to make sure I got to my next stop safely.

I consider myself a fairly competent and confident traveler and still, it was really comforting to know that Bella was there to backstop me if I needed help with last minute arrangements (like when my solo climbing excursion turned into a two- then three-person outing) and that the people they're connected with are reliable and reputable. As a solo woman traveler, it was reassuring to know that I wouldn't end up with some untried guide.

Everything was so easy. All of my transportation was arranged. Every guide I met in each location was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to help me get plenty of pictures on our tours. When I ran into a flight delay due to weather, Bella immediately helped rearrange my ground transportation and room accommodations and really helped turn it all into a minor inconvenience rather than a major travel setback. The location choices and excursions were thoughtful. I had a wonderful trip and it couldn't have been easier to arrange all of it.

From November 27-December 13th my wife and I had an amazing experience touring Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi and many of the islands. I would have to say to have such a well planned trip, it first goes in the preparation. Tina was incredible, from helping us plan our trip, making sure our transportation was secure, setting us up with a very knowledgeable tour guide while we were in Bangkok, that taught us about the history and culture, and took pictures and videos of our trip as well. Tine gave us suggestions for different activities outside our excursions, and most importantly, being available during our stay. Anytime we had a question, she made time for us as if we were her only customers. If you are planning a trip, definitely reach out to Tina.

I have never used an agency like this to plan a vacation before and I was a little skeptical. I take it all back now. Minah helped me plan the perfect 11 day trip across Thailand doing all of the things that were important to us. She handled domestic flights, hotels, transportation, and all of the excursions I dreamed of seeing. We didn’t have to worry about a thing! It was perfect!

This Thailand trip was truly an excellent experience. Everything from the culture to the food was amazing. Our first tour guide Betty did a great job showing us the Mosque and China Town. We enjoyed him so much and he was very informative. I liked how well Kim Kim put the trip together also. We always felt like VIPs because of the private guides and shuttles, even the signage at the airport upon arrival was nice. We made a stop by Perfect Tailor and I would like to personally thank SK for the experience. Everything was perfect and I’m so happy we booked with Kim Kim! I will definitely book another international trip with Kim Kim after this.

This was an amazing trip especially for only being there one week. All of the guides were great! Wish I had more time.

Heidi was very helpful throughout the planning process. She updated our trip a couple times as we finalized flight times and asked for some different activities.

While we were on the trip, everything went very smoothly. We had private transfers, our guides were very helpful with local recommendations, and everyone we interacted with was very friendly and helpful. An added bonus was having our guides help us through check in at the airports which was a different process than we were used to.

Overall, our trip to Thailand was amazing. We spent time in Bangkok at temples and different markets, time in Chiang Mai with elephants and hiking in the rainforest, and days in Phuket doing ocean activities. Our guides made each day transition smoothly and our accommodations were perfect. I would not have changed anything about the trip and would definitely use kimkim again for future travel!

In general, our trip was great. Our guides were wonderful, and most of the drivers excellent. We really enjoyed most of the activities, and most of the hotels. Adding in the activity to make floats for Loy Krathong was wonderful, and we highly recommend the Thai Farm cooking class. They do an amazing job! The only hotel we did not like was Tree Tara in Lampang
For a variety of reasons, I would not recommend it. And although we really liked the hotel near Khao Sok, there were several misunderstandings around food orders.
The hotel in Bangkok turned out to be lovely, and in a great location as we could walk to restaurants and Lumphini park. The other hotels were generally quite nice as well. We enjoyed most of the activities, but sometimes it was just too much packed into a day( we are the kind of travelers who read all the signs in the museums!), and it seemed our tour guides felt responsible to get us everywhere in a timely fashion, but maybe we would’ve liked more time at fewer stops. But we sensed they were doing their job! For example, we had very little time at the Artists House in Bangkok.
The crowded busy tours to James Bond island and the lake at Khao Sok covered a lot, and we were glad to see the sights, but again being rushed around like like wasn’t our favorite. We realize we are tourists too, but tend to like quieter, slower activities!
Trang was wonderful to work with, and I do think she listened and worked really hard at putting together the trip we envisioned. It was great having our itinerary worked out and drivers, and some amazing things added we would never have known about! She answered our many questions quite thoroughly, and appeared to do quite a bit of research for us, which we appreciated. We have not used a travel agent before, so it was a new experience for us. If we were to ever return, I think we would just see more countryside and national parks!

My partner and I took a 12-day trip to Thailand. Even before we left, we had a lot of questions and made a number of changes to the itinerary to suit what we were looking for during our luxury trip. Elizabeth was receptive, positive and happy to accommodate until we had it just right. The planning was excellent overall.

During the trip, it was clear that Elizabeth had planned everything exceptionally well. From drivers to tour guides to hotels, everyone was on time, had our requests and treated us well.

In terms of the excursions and activities, they were generally of high quality. When a concern did arise, the communication from Elizabeth was excellent - very attentive, clear and reliable. She also jumped in immediately and resolved the situation and then went the extra step to ensure future tours went smoothly.

We came in at the last minute with a week before our flights to Thailand looking for trip options (was a last minute vacation!) and Bella promptly went back and forth with us several times at odd hours of her day on the other side of the world, quickly helping us land on a great trip for us, including having to very very carefully play tetris with shifting availability days/times as we booked so close to the days of the events.

Everything was meticulously organized -- drivers and guides for every segment, with her WhatsApping us contact info beforehand and quickly changing drivers when we had a delay during one event to make sure we were continually cared for. The guides she picked for us were very interested in going out of their way to customize the experience to our trip desires, flipping up destinations midday if they had more interesting sounding ideas after they got to know us, adding side trips, etc.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and especially with such wildly limited notice our expectations were very exceeded.

Absolute must-do experience. The white and blue temples are unbelievably pretty and interesting. The grounds of the white temple can be explored for hours. The art by the designer of the white temple is also very interesting and he was prolific. Long drive but completely worth it.

Quite a long drive for an okay-ish cave. We ended up doing a different crafting village/fair another day instead of the Baan Kang Wat one, so this review is only for the cave. Most of the cave is unlit (the guide used a propane lantern and flashlight), and significant portions have been permanently closed off for safety after floods the last few years. Still pretty and interesting, but not very long and middling as limestone caves go.

It was a fun experience petting and feeding the elephants in a couple different spots, but the rest of the "whole day" experience was some odd random activities that were mildly entertaining (bamboo raft ride, walkaround the hill tribe village without much explanation, etc.) but would have been better spent doing other things.

The scale of the ruins was grandiose, but the lack of our (humanity's, not us the tourists) knowledge about the history of the site means that it's mostly just a bunch of ruins with very limited context to walk around. We tend to be looking to combine historical context with tours, so this one was a bit disappointing compared to our other activities on this vacation. The food stop itself was good for river prawn fans, but outside of the local river prawns, nothing special.

This was absolutely a highlight of our trip. Our chef instructor was incredible and gave us way more than just recipes, but instead a set of guidelines for how to be creative with Thai cooking. She also helped provide tips about how to get ingredients back home. It was really fun to go around the market with her before we headed to the cookery. Everything we cooked was delicious, but I am also going home looking forward to being able to re-create what we made.

The Bangkok Team: Our guide and driver, Anita and Shin, both were super awesome as well. Both were friendly, smiling all the time and just happy. That set the tone everyday. Anita shared the cultural, historical and personality everywhere we went. We loved the temples, sights, and food experiences. The temples were truly magical and wondrous. Chinatown, Floating Market, the Railroad market and all of the other sites we’ve seen was remarkable and “you have to be there to see and experience it.”

The Chiang Mai Team: Our guide, Cookie and driver were wonderful too. Cookie shared special stories with each place we visited and as we visited different temples and attractions, people knew of her and respected her. We felt very special to be in her presence.

Phuket

Layalina Hotel in Phuket was quite unique due to its hidden location; you'd almost miss it sandwiched between other businesses. Once you find it, though, its proximity to the beach and local spots is ideal for exploration. It had a charming quality about it, and I did enjoy my time there despite Phuket being a bit too touristy for my taste.

De Lanna Chiang Mai

De Lanna Chiang Mai was a lovely hotel, located in a peaceful area. I enjoyed the quietness and proximity to food and massage places, and it was close to a 7-Eleven, which was handy for those unexpected needs. The mosquito spray I got there was a lifesaver considering the presence of mosquitoes in Chiang Mai. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Silom Serene Hotel

The Silom Serene Hotel in Bangkok was fantastic. It's in a superb location, close to markets where you can grab fresh produce and smoothies. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always greeting us with smiles. I felt so safe and well taken care of, even when I arrived late at night. They guided me to my room and ensured I was comfortable. It truly felt like a home away from home.

The Chiang Mai Cooking Class Experience was just incredible! It was such a personal experience, reminiscent of visiting a relative's house and exploring the local farms for ingredients. Our teacher was amazing, making sure we felt comfortable throughout. I loved the warm, family-like atmosphere. The class being small was a bonus, making the experience intimate and enjoyable. This was one of my favorite parts of the trip.
