We have NEVER worked with a more amazing company!!!!! Paola was INCREDIBLE!!!! She catered to our every need. My husband and I are 70 years old. We had to be particular about our activities. Paola took everything into consideration to make the trip suit our needs. We are birders. Paola made sure we would achieve our goals. Our guides were personable and knowledgable. Alexis knew his "stuff". Nicholas was a kind charmer who kept us smiling the entire time. The "other" Nicholas did every thing he could to find birds for us. He succeeded!!!!!

I actually cried when I entered our hotel and looked from the balcony. It was that perfect! We will return, and we will use KimKim wherever we plan to travel.

Loved the wine tours! Every wine tour was totally different from each other. Capri was a great surprise! Loved the Vatican! Was disappointed that we couldn’t visit the Sistene Chapel and couldn’t go on Our boat ride around Sorrento but those were not any fault of KimKim.

I recently decided to visit Iceland but didn’t know much about the country, so I started researching things to do there. While browsing online, a chat box popped up asking what I needed. After entering some general information, I was connected with Emanuela from KimKim Travel. She asked me a few questions about my interests and travel goals, and I explained that I wanted her to design a trip for a best friend visiting Iceland for the first time.

Within a day, Emanuela sent me a complete itinerary featuring some of the most incredible sights and experiences in Iceland. As I reviewed her recommendations, I was amazed by the variety of unique and fascinating activities she included. A few days later, I reached out to her to adjust the schedule based on my arrival and departure dates, and she quickly provided a revised version that was absolutely perfect.

Once I approved the plan, Emanuela took care of all the bookings and confirmed every detail. She was incredibly attentive, ensuring everything matched what I envisioned for the trip. Before my departure, she sent me the final itinerary, all reservation details, and her personal contact information in case I needed assistance during my travels.

What truly impressed me was that Emanuela even checked in during my trip to make sure everything was going smoothly. Her professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine care made the entire experience seamless and stress-free.

LizKaren and Lizbeth were very responsive to all of our questions and I really appreciate this.

The trip was great and all encountered people - guides, drivers, hotel & restaurant staff were so kind, polite & professional. Nataly and Daniel were exceptional. At Novotel, Mayara (a hotel staff worker) was exceptional and made the hotel stay 5 star!

Overall, many of the days were too full and too long. The Lima tour day was too hurried to enjoy either the Larco or the historic old town. I recommend removing one of the 2 events. I would keep the cooking event.

I would recommend spending the night in Iquitos rather than the Lima airport hotel. It was a super long day and our night in the hotel was about 4 hours. Too short to really enjoy the first day with Nataly . Again, I would remove one of the stops between Cusco and the sacred valley lodge. (The fancy lunch dining was very nice but happened very late in the day and we were beyond hungry & tired). We started very early in Lima, and ended the day quite late at the very beautiful Arawana hotel. We all would have enjoyed more time to enjoy this place.

I would have liked 2 days in Agua Caliente to have time in the town and time to perhaps do a second hike in Machu Picchu. Again, we arrived late in Agua Caliente with an early start planned the following day.

Cusco was wonderful. The waking tour with Nataly was great and we did not take the rainbow mtn tour and our day staying back exploring Cusco on our own was nice.

It’s hard to know how much is too much and what to drop off the plan or whether to add days. But generally — making the days shorter so travelers can enjoy the evenings where they are would be better. 20 minutes in a museum or at a stop is like zero minutes in my opinion.

Additionally, it would be great to have dining recommendations close by especially in places where we have a short night.

Also providing tipping recommendations ahead of time would be beneficial. We spent a lot of time talking about who gets a tip and how much is appropriate.

Again, I did not do the planning coordination with Doug and KimKim, so I am not complaining. I am just saying that next time I will be more mindful of the tours/plans per day and lengths of the days along with how many nights per place.

I loved having the driver and guides , hotels and tours set up for just us 8 and would totally work with you on a different adventure. Peru is an amazing adventure!

Absolutely FLAWLESS from start to finish! Tina, our planner in Croatia was responsive and intuitive. Our hotels were lovely and most importantly the transfers (ferries & drivers) were on-time, friendly and professional. I was hesitant to book the “Buggy Safari” in Korcula and it was definitely a highlight of our trip!!! Thank you Tina & kimkim-our trip was perfect and we can’t wait to use kimkim again!

Our trip to Portugal was terrific. We were a group of 11 friends and Coraima was able to put together an itinerary that worked for all of us! While Lisbon and Porto are must-see places, Sintra and the Pena Palace was an amazing place, as well. Two lesser-known places we visited were Monseraz and Obidos. These were great stops and I would have liked to have had more time to explore each of those. Relatively few tourists at both of those places!
Overall, Coraima and Summer did a great job in organizing this trip for us! They were very responsive to all of our questions leading up to trip! The email thread that they created was extremely helpful!
I would absolutely use Kimkim agian to set up a future trip!

Japan was the 4th trip that we've booked through KimKim! Greg arranged the best trip we've had so far! In working with Greg, we could tell that he wanted to give us the best possible experience of Japan and it's culture, and he delivered!!

We had a mix of private guided tours, small group tours, exploring on our own, as well as some select private experiences (Japanese Afternoon Tea at the Palace Hotel, decorating Lacquered Japanese Bowls as well as Japanese Calligraphy).

The hotels that Greg suggested, were all located in areas close to public transportation as well as sites we could walk to, in some cases. We opted to have breakfast included at each hotel, and the selection of both Western and Japanese style offerings was outstanding.

We spent 2 weeks total in Japan Tokyo (4 nights), Kanazawa (2 nights), Kyoto (5 nights) ,Hiroshima (2 nights) and
Hakone (1 night)

We came away from our experiences in Japan with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Japanese culture - thank you Greg, for making this possible!!

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback regarding our recent trip, as this vacation is incredibly meaningful to my husband and me. It serves as our yearly honeymoon — a special time for us to reconnect, especially since we both work in law enforcement and rarely have time away together.

First, I want to express my appreciation for your attentiveness and professionalism throughout the planning process. However, I don’t feel that my preferences and expectations were not fully understood or reflected in some parts of the trip.

Our hotel in Athens was nice in terms of accommodations, but the lack of concierge service was a major disappointment for us. Personalized service and assistance are very important elements of our travel experience. While the hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, the absence of a concierge made it difficult to navigate the area and arrange activities smoothly.

We also encountered an issue with our tour guides in Athens. There was some confusion about our meeting location, and the guide became upset and raised her voice when we didn’t meet her outside as she expected — we had been waiting just downstairs. While this was uncomfortable, I do want to acknowledge that she was very knowledgeable and that the remainder of the tour went well.

A more serious issue occurred when departing to Egypt. We learned from the airline that our travel agent should have verified that our passports were compliant for our destination. Unfortunately, my husband’s passport was not accepted initially because it expires in April 2026, leading to a 12-hour delay. We made multiple calls and sent messages but received no response. After pleading with the airline, they finally allowed us to continue our travel. By the time we arrived in Egypt, it was 3:45 a.m., and we reached the hotel around 5:45 a.m. Our scheduled day tour at 8 a.m. had to be postponed to 11 a.m., causing us to miss several experiences. This situation created a domino effect that impacted a significant portion of our trip.

On a positive note, our time in Santorini was absolutely wonderful. The hotel, staff, and tour guides there exceeded our expectations and made that part of our trip truly memorable.

I’m sharing this feedback because we truly value these annual trips, and with a few adjustments, future experiences could be exceptional from start to finish. I would appreciate any follow-up or resolution you can offer, particularly regarding the passport issue and the missed portions of our tours.

There was no transport we walk everywhere

My Wife and I spent 7 days in France with the help of Liz, our Travel Specialist, and the Operations Team. We were very happy with KimKim and our trip. Liz had several great ideas on how to organize and improve our agenda. The contractors hired by KimKim to transport us and guide us were top-notch. In the south, we spent a day with a guide visiting Eze and Monaco as well as the Rothschild Ville. Theo, our Guide, was excellent in his knowledge, affability, and well-connected to get us in places and reservations for lunch, etc.. His knowledge of the area was excellent, and he was very patient with our questions.

Later, we traveled without hick-up to Paris on the TGV trains. Once again pick-up service was flawless, and we started the Paris portion of our trip with a dinner cruise on the Seine River. We had KimKim hire guides for a tour of Notre-Dame and Sainte-Chapelle. We were again extremely pleased with the guide and his knowledge. These guides are worth every penny as they make the experience so much richer. No way we could have had half the experience without their local knowledge and historical context.

My only minor correction or suggestion was the seating assignments on the river cruise. The seats were a little tight and would have preffered a better spot on the boat.

Thanks again to Liz and the Ops Team for taking such good care of us.

Firstly I am sorry to be a bit tardy but after being away for an extended period of time, life has beckoned us and we are now juggling home and work life which all require attention since we have been away. I would like to go back and be more specific with details, but for this moment I simply don't have the time.

The trip was great with only one snafu which was the double booking of Bari leaving us without a reservation. It could happen to anyone, but one thing that would have helped is to have a driver or tax pick up all our luggage to transport to the next place so we didn't have to carry many piece of luggage and gifts many blocks which was nearly impossible. Again, that is the only thing that wasn't perfect! I will use Bea and KimKim in the future!

Our trip to Costa Rica was absolutely wonderful, thanks to Yuliana’s exceptional planning and attention to detail! She took the time to really understand our interests and budget, and made thoughtful adjustments along the way to ensure everything was just right.

The entire itinerary was seamless — every pick-up and drop-off went exactly according to plan. We stayed at four different hotels in various regions, which gave us the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure. Each excursion was a highlight, and all our interactions with drivers, guides, and hotel staff were professional and pleasant.

One tip for future travelers: if your itinerary includes travel up and down around the volcano areas, we recommend bringing Dramamine — the roads are winding, and it can make the trip much more comfortable.

Manuel Antonio National Park Guided Hike

Our guided hike through Manuel Antonio National Park was an unforgettable experience! The park is absolutely stunning — lush, vibrant, and full of wildlife at every turn. Our guide was fantastic, helping us spot so many animals we would have easily missed on our own. We saw several sloths, along with a variety of other fascinating creatures, from colorful birds to playful monkeys. The trails led us to some truly beautiful beach areas, where we could relax and take in the breathtaking coastal views. Travel tips: bring plenty of water, comfortable walking shoes, binoculars if you have them, and an extra couple of dollars. We purchased ice-cold coconuts on our way out, and they were perfect for the occasion! This tour was the perfect combination of nature, wildlife, and relaxation — highly recommend it to anyone visiting Costa Rica!

We started our day at Selvatura Park with a guided nature walk, and it was such a fascinating experience! Our guide was incredible — he pointed out animals and creatures we never would have noticed on our own, like bats resting inside a hollow tree and orange-knee spiders hidden among the plants. Note to future travelers: this walk is quite long and can be challenging for those who aren’t used to a lot of walking or uphill terrain. It’s absolutely worth it, but it helps to build up your stamina beforehand so you can fully enjoy the experience. After the nature walk, we continued to the zip line adventure with Sebastian and Carlitos, and it was amazing from start to finish! They were so patient and kind, especially with my 80-year-old mom, who needed a few walking breaks along the way. They never made us feel rushed — instead, they turned each stop into part of the adventure, pointing out the scenery and keeping everything fun and relaxed. I’m usually afraid of heights, but both Sebastian and Carlitos helped me feel safe and confident the entire time. Their encouragement made the adventure unforgettable — full of excitement, laughter, and stunning views. And don’t miss the Tarzan Swing at the end — it’s the perfect way to wrap up an incredible day at Selvatura Park!

The passion and experience of Arianna (Storywalking partner of KimKim) was very evident in the selection of Hotels, Tours and pacing of the itinerary... Daily communications with mobile tickets for Trains and Tours was all seamless... Travel is typically stressful... KimKim eliminated so much of it... We highly recommend.

If you are looking to create your own vacation, kimkim is the company you want. They were superb in planning exactly what our small group wanted while at the same time providing truly wonderful drivers and professional guides for each day. Everyone was friendly and eager to please while also providing recommendations for restaurants and other activities. Kimkim was perfection!

Our recent trip to Italy from Venice, Florence, and Rome to Positano went better than I ever could have imagined! My mother and I planned this trip with Eirini’s expert help. She provided invaluable experience and suggestions. I found her to be very thorough and quick to reply when I had questions. Every tour, accommodation and transfer met or exceeded our expectations! Even more important than the pre-trip planning, I found the responsiveness during our trip the best part. Each day, I was sent a message with the itinerary for the next day with links to each ticket we might need. When I had questions or concerns, my messages were answered immediately and expertly. I would not hesitate to use this service again and wholeheartedly recommend them!

There are a few outstanding people and tours I want to specifically mention. First, our tour guide in Venice was absolutely amazing! Sarah was so friendly and hospitable. We felt like family by the time we were finished! We came to love Venice thanks to her unique insight. She was top notch!

Next, our tour guide in Florence—Elena from Walks Italy—did an excellent job. Even better was our cooking class with Alberto! This was probably the highlight of the trip and most definitely one of our best meals. We so thoroughly enjoyed this experience and loved our interaction with him!

In Rome, we considered ourselves so fortunate to meet Linda from Liv Tours, the tour guide for the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. She was phenomenal and gave a tour with the perfect balance of humor, personality and information. I felt like the size of this group was perfect (only 6 of us).

In Pompeii, our tour guide was also incredible, although his name eludes me. We loved our time in Pompeii!

Last but not least, our suite in Positano was absolutely amazing! I was dubious about it since I had had my heart set on a really upscale hotel that I couldn’t afford. But the Imperati Suites exceeded every expectation I had. It was the cutest place I’ve ever stayed with the most amazing view, the most relaxing shower and a breakfast that blew us away. As if that were not enough, the host, Katia, made it even better. She was so attentive and helpful throughout our stay. I can not sing the praises of this place enough. And the little restaurant nearby (Mediterranio) was our favorite of the whole trip, so we went twice! I am so grateful that Eirini recommended this accommodation as a more budget friendly option. I can’t imagine we would have enjoyed anywhere else as much as we enjoyed our stay here!

As I said before, each transfer and train ride went flawlessly and we were so appreciative that we had all those logistics worked out ahead of time! Thank you so much for providing excellent service and clear communication throughout so we were free to enjoy every moment of this spectacular trip! We will treasure our time in Italy forever!

This room was nice, bigger than expected and very clean. The breakfast was lovely and we found the host to be exceptionally kind and informative. We appreciated the elevator and would not have enjoyed lugging our suitcases up those steps! The location was perhaps the only drawback, as it was a good 40-45 minute walk from both the Colosseum and the Vatican. I’m not sure if there is a better location, but we ended up needing taxis and Ubers several times.

This was probably our least favorite accommodation, although there was nothing too much to complain about. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious! The breakfast attendant/housekeeper was so friendly and we enjoyed her hospitality. The steps up to the suite were a challenge and the room was a little stuffy and warm. That necessitated we open the windows, which let in some insects that bit me during the night. I had a 8 bites on my hand and two on my face. I didn’t feel like it was a big deal, it a fan could’ve helped a bit instead of leaving the windows open. We asked for a fan but never got it. We liked the location and the shower. Felt the room decor was just blah. All in all, just not our favorite, but not bad either.

This was our least favorite tour. I don’t want to be harsh because it was mostly due to a crisis back home we were dealing with. We really could t enjoy the tour or focus on it bc we were so consumed with worry about the crisis at home. Filomena was super knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs. We found her accent sometimes hard to understand and it required a lot of attention and effort to keep up. We enjoyed our time, it just was a bad day for us.

Honestly, I would not change one thing that Aleksandra set up for us. The trip was perfect and all the accommodations and tours were great.

Kimkim took the pain out of organizing all the little details for a wonderful trip. All of their guide selections were amazing. They provided additional perks as the trip continued (not that I would expect that in the future, but really nice touch!) One outing was to be a boat ride around a Greek island but the weather forecasts looked horrible. Late afternoon we asked if we could reschedule to to THE NEXT DAY. Kimkim reached out and we were rewarded with a marvelous afternoon on the water. And, yes, lighting and rain happened on the originally scheduled day and would have cancelled the trip.

Marcela and the team of travel agents of Turismo Milodon were amazing. Always in communication with us and anticipating our needs trough out our travels. They answer all our questions promptly and even went out of their ways to help us get a hat that I left in a remote hotel.
