We had a wonderful multi-country trip through Vietnam and Thailand, thoughtfully organized by Hien. It struck a great balance between culture, food, nature, and adventure — from food tours in Hanoi and Bangkok, to trekking in northern Vietnam, beach time in Thailand, and visits to temples and pagodas along the way. As a family looking for an active holiday with a lot of variety, it was exactly what we wanted.

During planning, Hien took real time to understand our preferences — the type of activities, accommodation style, and what would work well for our family — and was consistently responsive throughout. It was also a lovely touch to be able to meet up in person during the trip itself.

On the ground, everything ran smoothly: drivers were punctual, guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and they took very good care of us. The agency stayed in touch during the trip to check that everything was going well, and even arranged a birthday surprise for one of us!

So, yes, we'd highly recommend this agency to families or anyone looking for a well-organized, activity-rich trip through Southeast Asia, and we'll definitely reach out again if we return to the region.

I took my 3 kids on the trip age, 18,16 and 14. They absolutely loved it. We went for 18 days, started in Hanoi and ended up in Saigon. We had plans almost everyday booked through Trang. Everyday was new and it seemed like everyday was better than the last. I have done 2 trips with KimKim, the other to Costa Rica and they were both brilliant. The kids enjoyed Vietnam more as it was more culturally interesting. Having the tours booked everyday , usually for about 5 hours and having the meal, breakfast and lunch included made it very easy. Otherwise i would have to be trying to book it all myself and it would ruin the trip and also the amount of logistics is staggering. The transportation was great and we had our private van everyday with driver. The country is long so sometimes we would be in the van for 1.5 hours each way but the kids enjoyed it as they listened to music, watched videos etc. I have to say Trang was excellent, There werent any issues, she came to meet us the first day and brought us welcome to Vietnam gifts. There was no standout place as they were all stand out. I highly recommend Vietnam and Trang as she was incredible. Thank you again KimKIm

We just returned from a 12-day family trip to Vietnam planned through Realistic Asia/Kimkim, and it exceeded every expectation. From beginning to end, everything was seamless, thoughtfully organized, and executed flawlessly. The itinerary struck the perfect balance of culture, history, adventure, relaxation, luxury, and authentic local experiences. Every destination felt completely different from the energy of Hanoi, to the breathtaking landscapes of Ninh Binh, the serenity of Lan Ha Bay, the beaches of Da Nang, and the charm of Hoi An. We genuinely loved every single activity and never once felt like there was anything we would have changed.

One of the highlights was the people. We had two different drivers and three different tour guides throughout the trip. Each had a unique personality and guiding style, yet every one of them was warm, professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing Vietnam with us. They didn’t simply take us from place to place, they brought the country’s history, culture, traditions, and daily life to life in a way that made the trip incredibly meaningful.

The logistics were equally impressive. Every transfer, hotel check-in, activity, and timing was perfectly coordinated, allowing us to simply enjoy ourselves without ever worrying about the details. Traveling with children can sometimes add complexity, but everything was handled with such care that the trip felt effortless.

The person who truly made this experience exceptional, however, was Hien. From the very beginning of the planning process, throughout our travels, and even after we returned home, Hien was nothing short of extraordinary. She was unbelievably responsive, proactive, thoughtful, and always one step ahead of any question or need we had. It genuinely felt like having a trusted friend in Vietnam available whenever we needed assistance. That level of service is incredibly rare and is one of the biggest reasons this trip was so enjoyable.

We’ve traveled extensively around the world, and this was one of the best organized trips we’ve ever taken. We would recommend Realistic Asia, Kimkim, and especially Hien without hesitation to anyone considering Vietnam or Southeast Asia. We will absolutely be using Hien and KimKim again for future travels, and we couldn’t be more grateful for such a memorable experience. Five stars simply doesn’t feel like enough!

My son and I just returned home from our trip to Vietnam, planned by Hien at KimKim. She could not have done a better job for us! Tour of Hanoi ok, but too much food too early. By the time we left hotel after breakfast, then had egg coffee (quite filling), drink at train street & then lunch at 11:15 - too much too quick. Couldn’t do justice to lunch.
Hotels were ordinary. Fridge & TV didn’t work initially, bathroom door squeaked and definitely not “city view” in Hanoi. Nimh Binh hotel restaurant was shut in evenings due to renos and breakfast limited. Limited dinner alternative in walking distance.
Lots of driving which was good and expected but driver could not talk english. Tour guide good but not there for the journeys.
Contact with tour co. - Doris, was excellent.

Trang was great in helping plan our family vacation. She was very responsive with communication and provided excellent recommendations. I also appreciated her checking in during the trip and assisting with any changes that needed to be made.

I had a great experience planning a two week trip to Vietnam with Kimkim and my travel advisor Long. My family and I travel frequently and have worked with many travel agencies. Working with KimKim and Long was easy and very pleasant. The proposed itinerary was interesting, well thought out and accounted for all of our preferences and interests. Long quickly accommodated a couple additional requests for specific activities and providers as well as a very last minute (evening before 8am departure) request for fast track assistance on the outbound flight from HCM. I really appreciated Long's responsiveness and thoroughness. His recommendations matched our asks well and he frequently provided multiple alternative options for us to choose from before we finalized everything. Communicating using the Kimkim platform was very easy, especially the ability to provide feedback and ask questions about specific parts of the itinerary. I had the most amazing 19 days traveling in Vietnam and Thailand.
This is my third time booking through KimKim, and my first with Realistic Asia and I am very pleased with the whole experience.
Lucy did a great job with the planning, and Long was amazing at finalizing, executing the plan and following through. Everything was tailored to my needs, the logistics were 10/10, and I was always taken care of.

This was my least favorite place to stay. I only stayed for one night, and while I was getting ready to check out I was looking through the room to make sure I wasn't leaving anything behind only to find trash under the bed... not only was it dusty there was a plastic bottle, a tissue and a Qtip. I felt very disgusted knowing the room I slept in hadn't been clean before. The walls were also dirty and the soap dispensers empty. I left this feedback while checking out and the staff approached me, apologised and didn't charge me for one drink I had. They took notes and photos and assured me they would work on improving, which I do appreciate.

I do not write reviews usually but this one is well deserved.
Interacting with Mr. Long in preparation for our trip was very efficient, professional and well done. Everything during our 12 day trip was executed to the minute and as per our correspondences.
Mr. Long was in touch with us with instructions and checking that all went well contacting us few times a day.
Reminders were sent prior to arrival making sure visas were done. At every pickup point ( Airport arrivals, immigration procedures, drivers, guides and transfers ) we were greeted either prior to time planned or on time. One time that driver was late due to traffic ( 10 minutes ! ) we were notified prior. For every flight there were notices sent in advance.
As for guides and drivers as well as their vehicles they were all perfect as promised. However I have to commend specially the guide and driver in Angkor Wat ( 3 days ) It was very humid, every time we entered the vehicle driver had super cold small towels to refresh ( from ice box, 10 pieces in one day ) and in humidity it was great. Very nice guide in Ninh Binh. All drivers and guides were very attentative, polite and never experienced anything but careful driving. The cars were nice as stated prior.
Honestly, never gotten so much attention and sincere interest to make sure all is going well.
We want to thank Mr. Long and his choices of drivers and English language guides for making our stay and travels withing the country easy, pleasant and amazing!

Ms. Tang planned my trip from, so from beginning to the end her presence was there checking in with me. All the guides fantastic. I am grateful I chose this company.

The trip was outstanding in every respect. The itinerary was arranged to match our preferences, the hotels were lovely, and the guide was knowledgeable, caring and friendly. Long, our contact at Kimkim, checked in with us almost daily to see how we were doing. We would definitely book future trips with them.

This is my third time using kimkim. I've been happy with each experience.

I was originally planning to visit Vietnam (Hoi An and Hanoi) in November 2025. I was connected with Lucy who put together a great itinerary for me in the limited amount of time I had. We made a few changes to match my interests…and then I cancelled fairly last minute for work related reasons. This ended up being a blessing as Hoi An had some bad flooding around that time, which Lucy had warned me about (and I basically disregarded - so you should always listen to your TA because they know what they are talking about!)

Kimkim makes it easy to reschedule and I moved my trip to May 2026. I was able to add on dates and make additional tweaks to my itinerary. As my travel date came closer, she made sure I had my visa and all other travel information needed. Lucy also checked up on me throughout the trip and made sure I was doing okay.

I like to travel alone and heard that Vietnam was a safe place for a solo female traveler. I otherwise didn't know what to expect visiting the country. The guides I had helped make me feel comfortable and provided a great education about the country. Specifically, my primary guide in Hoi An was Huan who took me to My Son Sanctuary as well as a tour of Hoi An's Old Town. He was very informative and was also very accommodating of my slow pace. I also had guide Chay in Hoi An, who was flexible in changing my scheduled tour for that day. In Hanoi, Trung took me to a village in Ba Vi Hill area where I met several fascinating people. Finally, I had guide Quoc in Pu Luong, whom everyone we passed in the villages seemed to know! I finished my trip with a two night cruise in the Ha Long Bay. Every day was one great experience after another - from the lanterns in Hoi An to the tiered rice fields to the iconic limestone rocks reaching up from beneath the water. And all these great experiences were made more memorable by the welcoming people I met. A truly great trip!

I loved all of my hotels. However, my Hoi An hotel was between the Old Town and the beach. I would recommend that if you want to be closer to Old Town, that you should mention that when planning. I used Grab and the cost to Old Town was minimal and didn't take that long.

Long curated an incredible itinerary to Vietnam and Thailand for our family of 5. Every schedule pick up was on time, guides were great and all bookings were smooth and problem free. We will recommend Long at Realistic Asia to any friends traveling to Asia in the future. Thank you for everything!!

We loved his hotel in Hanoi! At breakfast there were ambassadors that would walk around that were extremely helpful, the battery in our safe was low and she had the battery changed before we finished breakfast. In addition, all the staff were super friendly and attentive. The rooms were roomy in such a tight neighborhood and we loved the contemporary style. Location was great nice to be off on a semi quiet street. We stayed two times at Bespoke Trendy and wished we would have stayed there a third time instead of the Tirant hotel for our final stay in Hanoi.

Staying at the Cardamom Tented Camp in Cambodia was a moving experience. It was enlightening to see their efforts in protecting the jungle and wildlife. Kayaking directly from the lodge was one of the most memorable experiences of the trip. It was refreshing to see the dedication to conservation. Definitely a must-visit, especially for nature enthusiasts.

The Vespa tour in Hanoi was an absolute blast! Zooming around the city on the back of a Vespa was an amazing way to discover hidden culinary gems. The food was some of the best we've had, and we kept going back to the restaurants we visited on the tour. Truly a highlight for food lovers!

I started booking a 5 day long weekend trip with Long in March. We texted, had video chats, and tweaked the itinerary over two weeks. He was exceptionally receptive to my desire to cram as much in as possible and that I wanted history, culture, and some relaxation. My daughter and I landed, were expedited through immigration and customs, immediately met by our guide and driver. Long secured us a reservation at a Michelin Star restaurant for our first night. Our accommodations at GM Premium Hotel were lovely, the staff is excellent. Annie especially. She greeted us warmly each day and provided personalized suggestions via WhatsApp. We had a full day history tour. Then the were transferred to a beautiful cruise aboard the Lyra in Ha Long Bay. We stayed one night. Our driver Viet was always on time. Our transport van was very comfortable and always had water. Tin, our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We had a good tour our last night that ended on train street. Truly and wonderful experience start to finish. Long evening came to meet me at our hotel on day 1 to welcome me to Hanoi in person. I highly recommend Long and Kim Kim.

The ship is only a year old. It is well appointed. Beautiful rooms, bathrooms, small decks. The beds are comfortable. Everything was very clean. Chris was our cruise director. Harry and Annie put on the cooking demonstration. Daniel served us at meal times. Staff is excellent. A really wonderful experience.

GM Premium Hotel Hanoi

This hotel is centrally located. Has a wonderful staff, clean rooms with good sheets, pillows and towels. Annie was our contact at the front desk and she is excellent. My next visit I would request a room at the end of the hall to reduce noise from other guests. The included breakfast is delicious.

Lucy was responsive, a great listener, and deeply connected into the local experience. We felt like deep cultural and local kind of trip.
It was wonderful to
- have local guides pick us up from the airport
- drivers always having col water for us in the car each morning
- hotels choices were super important, especially having a lovely pool to retreat to after a day of exploring. The hotel in Saigon could have been upscaled a bit further (a bit cleaner!). The hotels in the Makong Delta and DaNang were lovely, very especially the Little Oasis (a GEM!)

Little Oasis Hoi An

One of the best hotels we have stayed at. Authentic, super clean and comfortable, deep tub, caring and welcoming staff. We felt safe as soon as we walked through the hotel doors. The breakfast buffet was abundant! The staff was outstanding - especially Rose. Each day when we returned from an outing they would welcome us back like we were family. They were accommodating and caring as to what we had planned for the day and if we needed anything. They cared about the logistics for our travel back to the airport and confirmed details on our behalf. They ensured we have proper sun coverage during our outings to the beach, even loaning me a hand painted hat.

Silverland Mây Hotel

Could have been cleaner. The hotel bathroom floor was dirty especially the space between the glass showe wall and hotel hallway. Really could have used a strong vacuum and carpet shampoo. The hotel pool was lovely though as well as the staff.
