Our experience booking with Kim Kim and Trang was the best service and holiday booking experience we have ever had. The tour and hotel recommendations were perfect. In particualr the Allegro Hotel in Hoi An which was a small slice of paradise. We also love the Ocean Bay resort in Phu Quoc our biggest disappointment was not booking more time. The beach was pristine and the water was clear and warm. We did go to other beaches whilst there and they didn't compare and were less spotless. Our tour guide in Hanoi, Ben, was fantastic during our Jeep tour. We loved the personal touches such as taking us to his uncles apartment to see how people live in old Hanoi. I definitely recommend the egg coffee. Lunch was incuded and he showed us how to eat the local traditional food. It was a bit chilly but the Anatole hotel was located close to UniQlo to buy a warm jacket. The hotel was small and ideally located for the old town. In Hoi An our tour guide was Destiny and we were so lucky to have her as our guide. She was increadibly knowledgable and we recommended her to others visiting the area. Ho Chi Minh was probably our least favourite place and I know many reviews can be mixed - people see to love it or loath it. It is a BIG city and very bustling bt again our guide Richard was amazing. We stayed at the Le Vela hotel which we found to be a fairly generic hotel you migh find in any part of the world unlike the other hotels we stayed in during our trip - it should be noted this hotel is popular with locals on the weekend for weddings and birthday parties - so our Sunday arrival was perhaps more hectic than usual. We did have an issue with the airconditioning which appeared to be set permanently at 25c and despite having staff look at this it was not fixed - it appeared to be a default temperature. However, there was a fantastic french restaurant acorss the road and it was amazing food. Our 5 days in Phu Quoc was great and relaxing but was quite busy with Russian tourists. I think our choice of booking with a local person was evident throughour with fantastic almost daily communication from Trang. This was an absolute bonus when Vietnam Airline changed our flight back to Ho Chi Minh to a later time meaning we would not make our International connection home. However, Trang got straight onto this and rebooked the flight to allow us plenty of time to make our connection. We know if we had booked with an agent in Australia we would not have received such a quick response. It was sad we had to leave earlier meaning a 26 hour trip back to home but it was out of everyone's control. Ho Chi Minh airport is expensive so make sure you buy all of your souveniors prior to setting to the airport. Everything about the trip ran smoothly from the drivers to the tour guides. I could not recommend Trang more highly for your trip to Vietnam - you will not be disappointed. Where to start....This was a trip of a lifetime for us. This was our first time using KimKim and we were blown away! From the hotels, the food, the tours and most of all our tour guides; sheer perfection. Trang answered all my questions as the trip was unfolding, and really planned us a magnificent trip to Vietnam. Going North to South way to explore Vietam. We would definitely book again and will ask for Trang!

From the beginning, Trang aimed to understand the type of trip I was seeking for myself and family. Our trip planning began almost a year before the trip. She was very patient and made so many modifications to my itinerary. I wanted a mix of rural, cultural, city and nature seeking. It’s very important for me to support local businesses and have an authentic cultural experience. All of my accommodations and tours satisfied my requests. 2 in particular - the nonprofit Cardamon Tent Camp and Canvas Orchid Retreat matched our priorities toward socially responsible tourism. Trang was also able to secure adjoining or adjacent rooms for each of our hotel stays. Prior to our departure, I had trouble with my flight and VISA. Thankfully, Trang was proactive in settling the VISA and adjusting my itinerary to accommodate my late change in plans. Throughout the trip, Trang checked in with me to make sure my accommodations and local tour guides were satisfying my needs. I wish that Trang could plan all of my future trips!

Ms. Trang was super amazing and understanding of the time differences and intricacies of international travel--17h time difference from Hawaii. She booked our itinerary from landing in Hanoi to departure from Hanoi, and accommodated all of our travel needs, including issues that I wasn't even aware of. She didn't make assumptions and instead asked us what we were interested in doing, while guiding me and making suggestions based on information I had shared with her of our travel preferences and accounted for travel time in order to maximize our first trip to Viet Nam. She booked us on 2 private tours in Hanoi, including a Russian jeep tour and local attraction tour. She even paid extra to expedite my husband's Viet Nam visa when she realized it had been delayed and was able to get it for him the night before we left for our flight. She also found me a seamstress who sewed my 2 custom-made suits, advocated for my husband and me to get an upgraded hotel room with windows, and reserved upgraded seats on our flight from Hanoi back to Tokyo. She also recommended Stellar of the Seas cruise in Halong Bay and booked a 4-day, 3-night cruise for us which was a perfect duration for us. It was unexpectedly easy and efficient to communicate through the KimKim app and Ms. Trang was very patient with me. She is the epitome of customer service and I will definitely use KimKim travel agency for my future international travel.
Ms. Trang had book Duc and a driver to pick us up at Hanoi airport while Duc gave us an introduction to the city . Our Hanoi City tours were with Ben and a driver, as well as Gracie and a driver. We all communicated via Whatsapp which was extremely helpful given the language differences. They all went out of the way to help us make restaurant recommendations and suggestions for local activities following the tours. Ms. Trang went above expectations and had carefully choreographed our entire trip to Viet Nam so that we wouldn't get lost and felt welcomed to learn about the country's history and beautiful surroundings.

Once again KimKim created an amazing trip. We had seamless transportation, knowledgable guides, comfortable and varied accommodations, and saw such beautiful sites and experienced local culture. Cambodia is an absolute gem of a country to visit and KimKim made it easy!

In general, our trip was great. Our guides were wonderful, and most of the drivers excellent. We really enjoyed most of the activities, and most of the hotels. Adding in the activity to make floats for Loy Krathong was wonderful, and we highly recommend the Thai Farm cooking class. They do an amazing job! The only hotel we did not like was Tree Tara in Lampang
For a variety of reasons, I would not recommend it. And although we really liked the hotel near Khao Sok, there were several misunderstandings around food orders.
The hotel in Bangkok turned out to be lovely, and in a great location as we could walk to restaurants and Lumphini park. The other hotels were generally quite nice as well. We enjoyed most of the activities, but sometimes it was just too much packed into a day( we are the kind of travelers who read all the signs in the museums!), and it seemed our tour guides felt responsible to get us everywhere in a timely fashion, but maybe we would’ve liked more time at fewer stops. But we sensed they were doing their job! For example, we had very little time at the Artists House in Bangkok.
The crowded busy tours to James Bond island and the lake at Khao Sok covered a lot, and we were glad to see the sights, but again being rushed around like like wasn’t our favorite. We realize we are tourists too, but tend to like quieter, slower activities!
Trang was wonderful to work with, and I do think she listened and worked really hard at putting together the trip we envisioned. It was great having our itinerary worked out and drivers, and some amazing things added we would never have known about! She answered our many questions quite thoroughly, and appeared to do quite a bit of research for us, which we appreciated. We have not used a travel agent before, so it was a new experience for us. If we were to ever return, I think we would just see more countryside and national parks!
