Thanks to Trang we had a wonderful trip throughout Vietnam. She was immediately responsive and open to our thoughts during both the planning stage and our actual travels throughout the country. She was checking in with us almost daily to see how we liked our hotel, day’s activities and/or local guide. When we needed her assistance at one hotel, she took care of it immediately. She also made sure all hotels and local guides were aware of my dietary restriction. Overall her planning allowed us to experience a wide range of sights and experiences. We used a number of local guides and drivers throughout the trip. The guides English skills were generally very good and enhanced our experience.

Lovely small hotel. We stayed here before and after our trip to Sapa. Great location and front desk staff was wonderful. Rooms were very nice overall. Breakfast was wonderful. Nice small rooftop bar with good view.

The area is beautiful but the hotel is rather run down at this point. When we were brought to our first room it was so tiny we had no where to open our suitcases other than in the bathroom. There was no storage and the room was run down. We asked to move but had to get our travel agent involved. After that we did move that night to a better room where we could at least move around in our room. We moved again the next night to what they consider their deluxe rooms because the prior room was reserved. While the room was a good size and charming in its on way, we had a large hole in the floor in the gap between the bathroom door and the room where you could look right outside! We stuffed a towel in the hole to keep bugs and critters out. We did enjoy the free bikes and kayaks.

Very nice hotel. We had a lovely room. Breakfast buffet was good. The gym room needs significant improvement. Staff was good but not as friendly or helpful as other hotels we stayed at. We arrived early but we could not check in for hours. There was also a mix up on what room we were in at check in after we went to the wrong room.

The hotel was in a great location and the lobby and common areas were very nice. The staff was amazing. The morning breakfast was also wonderful. The pool area is tiny but a very pretty and a really nice spot to relax for a bit after a hot day. Our only negative was that the room was very basic, a bit tight, and the furniture was worn. Otherwise it was a very nice stay.

Hanoi - Ninh Binh: Hoa Lu, Ancient Capital & Tam Coc Boat Trip - Hanoi

This day trip did not make a lot of sense for us. We had just left the Phong Nga cave area and arrived in Hanoi the day before after a long drive. This was a 2 hour drive back towards the area we just left. We had already done other boat rides and seen amazing caves. The visit to the UNESCO site is significant from an historical point of view but it is just ruins.

Sapa – Explore local villages (Lao Chai - Ta Van - Cat Cat village)

Our local guide understood that we did not want to spend our time here in a car or bus. So he arranged for us to do a beautiful hike through the villages after he gauged our fitness levels. We hiked 11 miles and managed to see quieter and more authentic areas than the very touristy town of Sapa. It was one of our favorite days.

Hanoi - Halong Bay, Overnight on Cruise

We loved this experience and it was the perfect way to end our trip. The boat was beautiful. We loved the woodwork, common areas, food, and the staff. We were surprised when we were upgraded to the presidential suite which was gorgeous. Yes Halong bay is way too crowded but when the boat manages to move through quieter parts of the bay it is stunning.

Trang set up a perfect adventure for us, it included biking, lots of sightseeing, historical and socially interesting activities we thoroughly enjoyed. Trang was available to us 24/7, she smoothed out any issues we encountered with great solutions and had our best interests in mind always. What a professional and personable specialist! I have to say that my and my wife’s trip to Vietnam was amazing. We both have traveled a fair bit, sometimes curating trips ourselves and sometimes using fairly high end travel companies. Our 10 day Vietnam experience ranks equal to the best we have done.

I worked with our local specialist Trang for five months ensuring everything was exactly the way we wanted. Trang was incredible. She was knowledgeable, organized, helpful with ideas and patient!! Our trip went perfectly. Trang checked in throughout and helped with a couple of modifications during the trip based on our whims. We cannot thank her enough.

As for Vietnam. Well it’s everything our friends have told us. Highly recommend putting on anyone’s list.

Our experience booking with Kim Kim and Trang was the best service and holiday booking experience we have ever had. The tour and hotel recommendations were perfect. In particualr the Allegro Hotel in Hoi An which was a small slice of paradise. We also love the Ocean Bay resort in Phu Quoc our biggest disappointment was not booking more time. The beach was pristine and the water was clear and warm. We did go to other beaches whilst there and they didn't compare and were less spotless. Our tour guide in Hanoi, Ben, was fantastic during our Jeep tour. We loved the personal touches such as taking us to his uncles apartment to see how people live in old Hanoi. I definitely recommend the egg coffee. Lunch was incuded and he showed us how to eat the local traditional food. It was a bit chilly but the Anatole hotel was located close to UniQlo to buy a warm jacket. The hotel was small and ideally located for the old town. In Hoi An our tour guide was Destiny and we were so lucky to have her as our guide. She was increadibly knowledgable and we recommended her to others visiting the area. Ho Chi Minh was probably our least favourite place and I know many reviews can be mixed - people see to love it or loath it. It is a BIG city and very bustling bt again our guide Richard was amazing. We stayed at the Le Vela hotel which we found to be a fairly generic hotel you migh find in any part of the world unlike the other hotels we stayed in during our trip - it should be noted this hotel is popular with locals on the weekend for weddings and birthday parties - so our Sunday arrival was perhaps more hectic than usual. We did have an issue with the airconditioning which appeared to be set permanently at 25c and despite having staff look at this it was not fixed - it appeared to be a default temperature. However, there was a fantastic french restaurant acorss the road and it was amazing food. Our 5 days in Phu Quoc was great and relaxing but was quite busy with Russian tourists. I think our choice of booking with a local person was evident throughour with fantastic almost daily communication from Trang. This was an absolute bonus when Vietnam Airline changed our flight back to Ho Chi Minh to a later time meaning we would not make our International connection home. However, Trang got straight onto this and rebooked the flight to allow us plenty of time to make our connection. We know if we had booked with an agent in Australia we would not have received such a quick response. It was sad we had to leave earlier meaning a 26 hour trip back to home but it was out of everyone's control. Ho Chi Minh airport is expensive so make sure you buy all of your souveniors prior to setting to the airport. Everything about the trip ran smoothly from the drivers to the tour guides. I could not recommend Trang more highly for your trip to Vietnam - you will not be disappointed. The trip to Vietnam was fantastic, from the planning stage to the return home.
Trang helped me plan the itinerary and activities for each day. I really enjoyed the peace of mind of always having a driver waiting for us at the airport and hotel for our tours.
My best experiences were the tours in the Mekong Delta and Ben Tre, Cu Chi Tunnels & Ho Chi Minh City Tour, Legendary Russian Jeep City Tour in Hanoi, and Lan Ha Bay Day Cruise.

Palm Garden Resort - Hoi An

The hotel is beautiful, right on the sand, with a restaurant serving the beach and pool. There are three restaurants in the hotel, a games room, spa, and pool. Refreshments, coffee, and a small snack were available to guests in the lobby. The room was comfortable, and we received water every day. The facilities were very clean, and the hotel garden was very well maintained. The hotel was beautifully decorated and authentic. Breakfast was spectacular.

I enjoyed visiting Hue. It was a long tour with a small group. I think if I had chosen a private tour, I would have had a better experience. I didn't like the place where they took us for lunch, as there was no menu option, and the service and food were not good. I thought that the route through Hai Van Pass and Lap An Lagoon - Lang Co beach would be attractions, but we just passed by these places. Anyway, it was interesting to visit Hue.
