Overall, working with Trang has been amazing!! She is well organized, fast responsive, kind and pleasant to work with well! She is considerate and listens to customers well. Overall flow of the teip from Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam was outstanding! When we had an issue with hotel in Cambodia, Trang fixed it quickly and upgraded our room also :) most all guides and drivers were good and very knowledgeable and worked with us well. Least effective was guide in Hanoi (Mr Quyet)... not very knowledgeable, poor planner and did not display basic guide tasks such as reviewing plans for the day ahead, prepping customers for unfamiliar experiences by explaining procedures and allowing for questions. Best of all drivers who was above and beyond in every aspect Mr Bo in Hanoi ... great trip overall. Will be more than happy to work with Ms Trang again for trips :)

Great location! Roof top bar was awesome! We were in 9th floor 1st night and it got warm inspite of AC full blast ... 2nd night we were in the 5th floor and it was not very sound proof we could hear bar noise all night... Staff were friwndly and excellent! Breakfast was ok nithing extraordinary.

Thanks to Trang we had a wonderful trip throughout Vietnam. She was immediately responsive and open to our thoughts during both the planning stage and our actual travels throughout the country. The area is beautiful but the hotel is rather run down at this point. When we were brought to our first room it was so tiny we had no where to open our suitcases other than in the bathroom. There was no storage and the room was run down. We asked to move but had to get our travel agent involved. After that we did move that night to a better room where we could at least move around in our room. We moved again the next night to what they consider their deluxe rooms because the prior room was reserved. While the room was a good size and charming in its on way, we had a large hole in the floor in the gap between the bathroom door and the room where you could look right outside! We stuffed a towel in the hole to keep bugs and critters out. We did enjoy the free bikes and kayaks.

Very nice hotel. We had a lovely room. Breakfast buffet was good. The gym room needs significant improvement. Staff was good but not as friendly or helpful as other hotels we stayed at. We arrived early but we could not check in for hours. There was also a mix up on what room we were in at check in after we went to the wrong room.

The hotel was in a great location and the lobby and common areas were very nice. The staff was amazing. The morning breakfast was also wonderful. The pool area is tiny but a very pretty and a really nice spot to relax for a bit after a hot day. Our only negative was that the room was very basic, a bit tight, and the furniture was worn. Otherwise it was a very nice stay.

This day trip did not make a lot of sense for us. We had just left the Phong Nga cave area and arrived in Hanoi the day before after a long drive. This was a 2 hour drive back towards the area we just left. We had already done other boat rides and seen amazing caves. The visit to the UNESCO site is significant from an historical point of view but it is just ruins.

Our local guide understood that we did not want to spend our time here in a car or bus. So he arranged for us to do a beautiful hike through the villages after he gauged our fitness levels. We hiked 11 miles and managed to see quieter and more authentic areas than the very touristy town of Sapa. It was one of our favorite days.

We loved this experience and it was the perfect way to end our trip. The boat was beautiful. We loved the woodwork, common areas, food, and the staff. We were surprised when we were upgraded to the presidential suite which was gorgeous. Yes Halong bay is way too crowded but when the boat manages to move through quieter parts of the bay it is stunning.

We started working with Doris over a year before our trip and had to postpone until March 2026 due to family illness. Doris told us no-problem and picked up our trip planning as soon as we were able to travel - and she did a FANTASTIC job for us! Our trip was very active with many different cities, flights, hotels, and activities - everything was flawlessly organized. Using an in-country expert makes a huge difference as we wouldn't have had the expertise or contacts to organize the trip. Our hotels, while not chain's known to us were all very nice - much cleaner and more luxurious than an average US Marriottt. The food was equally high quality and the service outstanding - warm and welcoming. Our tour guides - 3 of them during the trip - were all knowledgeable and eager to assist us and to showcase their home region. Transportation was easy with a dedicated driver in clean and safe vehicles always available to maneuver chaotic streets carefully and calmly. It's really nice to come off a 14-hour flight and have someone with a sign waiting for you to help with your bags and take you to your hotel! Overall, I can't say enough good things about Doris and about KimKim. I highly recommend both!

Doris planned a 28 day itinerary for our trip to Vietnam & Cambodia. We started in Hanoi & made our way to Mai Chau, Ninh Binh, Halong Bay, Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh, Can Tho, Siem Reap Cambodia & ended the trip with a relaxing stay at a beautiful quiet resort on Phu Quoc. We loved the beauty of Mai Chau & bicycling through the villages & rice fields. Trung took us to some local “home stays” for some meals which we really enjoyed. Ninh Binh was amazing. We really enjoyed the boat ride & karst waterscape and was interesting to see the women using their feet to paddle the boat!
Lan Ha Bay overnight cruise was wonderful!
Hoi An is a must visit. We really enjoyed the charming ancient town although it was very busy!
A highlight in Ho Chi Min City was the XO Saigon by Night Motorcycle Tour!
Our guide Kim toured us through the Mekong Delta where we visited a floating market.
We only had 3 days in Cambodia but visiting the Angkor Wat Temples & Tonle Sap lake & floating village was well worth it. Spending our last week at the Green Bay Resort on Phu Quoc was a perfect way to relax at the end of our trip.
Doris was very detailed in her planning & everything was taken care of for us. All of the guides & drivers were excellent.
We were happy with all of the excursions and hotels used on our trip. We feel we had a fun, interesting and authentic experience in a Vietnam & Cambodia & highly recommend Doris to plan your next adventure!
The people of Vietnam & Cambodia were very friendly & welcoming & we felt very safe during our whole trip to explore around on our own.

Doris was quick, efficient, and friendly in all our interactions in planning and executing our trip to SE Asia. When there were changes during the trip, she was very accommodating and continued to be available to us as needed. Doris was quick in responding to our quesitons. This was unique for us and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I had reduced mobility and it was no trouble having help getting in and out of the boat. We highly recommend putting this on everyone's list.

Our guides in each of the locations were friendly, knowledgeable and communicated well. The van drivers were all very good at navigating the tricky traffic. We have traveled in East Asia, Europe, North, Central and South America and this is the first time we have used a travel service like Kim Kim. Kim Kim handled all of the logistics of hotels, traveling from sight to sight and city to city, very well. It was low stress compared to handling all of it by ourselves.

Our guides in each of the locations were friendly, knowledgeable and communicated well. The van drivers were all very good at navigating the tricky traffic. We had one person in our group with mobility issues and all of our guides did a good helping this individual and keeping us on point with our tour.

Bangkok - Hotel - Very nice with a great location close to the river and sights.
Guide and driver - Mr Oakky was pleasant, spoke good English and unassuming.
Methavalia Sorndaeng restaurant was a very nice surprise.
Best stop - Wat Arun or Grand Royal Palace.

Siem Reap - Hotel - Metta- Nice Hotel with a quick TukTuk ride into the city.
Guide -Peuro, Driver-Tom Both did great.
Favorite stop. Loved them all. Ta Prohm Temple was amazing and Angkor Wat did not disappoint.

Guide - Happiness - Took extra steps and friendliest guide. He took pictures and short video clips and sent us video of the highlights with music. Added extras of the engraved straw on the Lan Thanh Cruise and engraved chop sticks at Xom Nho were appreciated.

Hotel -Delicacy - Least impressive but a good location.
Hotel - Paradise Grand Cruise - Best accommodations.

Guide - Huy(Wee) Did. Great job the first allowing us to see the Hanoi Hilton and the railroad market which were not included in our tour. Very friendly and spoke great English. He had a family emergency which he had to attend to. Our Driver Hung did above what was expected taking us to our cruise and back without a guide.

Banteay Srei - Pre Rup was amazing. Since it was not the raining season, Tonle Sap Lake was low and we couldn't appreciate the area as much as expected. The stilted houses were interesting but didn't see wildlife or the floating village.

My trip to Chiang Mai and Laos went exactly as planned by Doris! Someone was waiting for me as I arrived in Chiang Mai, Luang Prabang, Paske, and Vientiane. All of my guides were courteous, spoke clear English, were knowledgeable, and friendly. My drivers all drove very safely in clean, well maintained vehicles. My favorites were 1) visiting the Elephant Sanctuary outside of Chiang Mai; 2) the Plain of Jars; 3) the scenic yet bumpy drive to/from the PoJ; 4) swimming & zipline at Xangvieng; 5) the many beautiful waterfalls near Paske.

Trang our local specialist was super responsive and catered our trip for group of 6 including a 9 and 11 year old children. I think the planning advice was good. She was helpful too when I had questions about Hanoi hotels and logistics. She advised printing out VN visa which was helpful. We did see an eco village at the sapa mountainside during our trip which I think we would have preferred to stay at because it really captures sapa well. We spent 2 night and 3 days in sapa coming from Hanoi.... Read more

We spent 2 night and 3 days in sapa coming from Hanoi. It was cool that we could hire a tour guide and a private limo van the entire time. The “limo” van unfortunately wasn’t very comfortable and felt like a pickup truck. We had been in other limo vans in Vietnam and unluckily we got a real beat up one. The ride to sapa was rough. Happy we made it safely though. The tour guide was nice but didn’t demonstrate much knowledge of sapa. He had only guided for 6 months.

Overall I would use kimkim travel again but maybe stay at an ecolodge and figure out how to get a better limo van and more knowledgeable tour guide but sometimes it’s hit or miss.
