I can’t wait to introduce you to the people of the Baltic States. I have been working in tourism since 2012 as a guide and travel planner in the Baltics. My passion for local culture and nature led me to adventure tourism. During my years in tourism, I have met great partners, learned a lot about our surroundings and routes and I feel ready to share them with you!
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"Culture of the indigenous people of the Baltic States is my passion as well as the nature and local tastes. Picking different berries and mushrooms, making herbal tea and visiting local farmers gives special experience for each trip. "
How did you get involved in travel?
"I was born in Latvia where I obtained education as history teacher. Since 2006 when I moved to Estonia, tourism seemed as a logical choice to start with. First I improved my skills and competences in different courses and mentoring trips and in 2012 I got the guides certificate in Tartu town, followed by different museums and parts of Estonia and continued to widen my horizon towards Latvia and Lithuania. I had been working with different tourism enterprises as well as regional developers in all 3 countries. Helping to develop products, routes and tourism materials had become my passion besides planning and leading itineraries in rural areas of Baltics. "
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"Baltic States can surprise with untouched nature, 30 - 50% are covered in forests and bogs and most of the local people use them for the recreation. We can offer a great adventure by hiking into the wilderness and harvesting and cooking products found - berries, mushrooms, herbs. Cooking will be organised in the nature by ourselves and finished with the most tasty meal and meeting the locals who can also involve us into dancing, singing and dressing in the national clothes. "
