Jani Burden

With over 20 years of experience in travel across different roles, I’ve developed a deep understanding of what makes a trip truly memorable. I’ve been fortunate to explore more than 40 countries and travel extensively across Canada—an experience that’s given me a genuine appreciation for both the excitement of international travel and the incredible diversity we have right here at home.

I’ve always believed that travel is about more than just the destination—it’s about the stories you collect along the way, the people you meet, and those unexpected moments that stay with you long after you return. My approach is rooted in creating personalized, seamless journeys that reflect each client’s interests, whether that’s a scenic rail adventure through the Rockies, a coastal escape in the Maritimes, or a deep dive into Canada’s vibrant cities and cultures.

With a strong passion for showcasing Canada and a commitment to making every trip feel effortless and meaningful, I love helping travellers discover just how much there is to experience in this country—and making sure they enjoy every step of the journey.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"I live on the East Coast of Canada so I specialise in Atlantic Canada as well as Ontario and Quebec. "

How did you get involved in travel?

"After university, I headed to New Zealand on a working holiday visa, not totally sure what I was getting into—but it ended up being a pretty defining experience. I spent time travelling around New Zealand and Australia, meeting people from all over and getting a real taste for what travel can be beyond just a vacation. Somewhere along the way, it clicked that this was something I wanted to do long-term. That trip set me on the path into the travel industry, and I’ve now spent over 20 years helping others plan their own adventures."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"One travel experience I’ll never forget is our honeymoon along Canada’s West Coast. My husband and I travelled through Banff, Kelowna, Vancouver, Whistler, and Vancouver Island, and it honestly felt like we were constantly moving from one incredible place to the next.

From the mountains and lakes in Banff, to wine country in Kelowna, the energy of Vancouver, the scenery in Whistler, and the coastline on Vancouver Island—it was all so different, but equally amazing. It was a really special trip for us, and those memories have stayed with me ever since."
