Jelena Batinic
Growing up in Dubrovnik, Croatian gem, UNESCO site, I was always surrounded by tourism and many tourist from all around the world. This opened my curiosity in travelling and meeting new people from different cultures.
As a member of Epic Croatia team, I have the opportunity to work in the field of designing unique tailor made tours from Dubrovnik and interesting surrounding area, islands, countrysides and as well the neighbour countries of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
I am happy that I can share my passion for travel in helping and designing unique experience for travellers.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"We offer active, adventure and custom made tours in South of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
All the tours are run by the principle of Responsible tourism and are designed as private tours for individuals and small groups. We offer:
- self guided or guided hiking tours
- self guided or guided cycling tours
- multi activity tours ( hiking, cycling, kayaking)
- private day trips: active, cultural, historical, wine and foodie."
How did you get involved in travel?
"Passion for travel was present for me since I was a child, when I had first traveling experiences in going away for a family holidays. Already in high school I knew that some day I will be working in tourism industry as travel agent. This lead to education at University of Dubrovnik and becoming local tourist guide too. "
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"I really enjoy travelling and each journey to me is a unique experience. Between so many nice memories it is hard to pick just one. As I enjoy in the same time visiting cultural sites, natural landscapes, activities, one of the most memorable travels were in the Advent and Christmas time when I visited, Zagreb, Vienna and Budapest. I was so impressed that I had a feeling that I was in a fairytale.
Beside the fairytale memories, the most unforgettable and adventure journey that I will never forget is riding on the motorcycle through Albania and Greece. It was a complete package of unexplored sites, beautiful landscapes, history and cultural sites."
