Yirga Mekuriaw

I was born on March 8th, 1983 in Debark in the North of Ethiopia. After completing within 2 years a geography course and passing the examination for mountain guiding, I obtained the necessary certification for working professionally with tourists. So I started my job as mountain and tourist guide firstly in the Simien Mountains and then all over Ethiopia. In addition, I obtained the diploma in tour guiding and have rich experience in organizing and leading large foreign tourist groups. I am the first mountain biking guide for SimienEcoTours and still active as bike guide. Beside guiding I spend my time in the office consulting clients and taking care about the operations of the running tours.
