InterContinental Hayman Island Resort, Hayman Island
Luxurious private island getaway with elegant rooms, five unique dining venues, and immersive Great Barrier Reef experiences
Overview
Located on a private island in the Whitsundays, the InterContinental Hayman Island Resort offers a world of luxury amidst verdant cliffs, crescent-shaped white beaches, and celestial-blue sea. Arriving at the resort is an adventure in itself, with a 55-minute boat cruise from Hamilton Island, or a 15-minute journey by helicopter or seaplane. Once there, you're in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty and iconic private island experiences that will leave you feeling transformed.
The resort features 182 luxurious and elegantly decorated guest rooms, suites, and villines across three spacious accommodation wings. Each accommodation offers a private balcony with views of the sea or the garden. The rooms are located in four distinct wings—Pool, Lagoon, Beach, and Pavilion—all artfully intertwined with spectacular pools, panoramic seascapes, and tropical rainforest gardens. There are also four Hayman Residences located atop the island's prestigious hilltop, offering even more privacy and luxury.
While at InterContinental Hayman Island Resort, immerse yourself in a world of destination-inspired activities. Whether you're up for a private helicopter tour over Heart Reef, a day on the pristine sands of Whitehaven Beach, a sunset picnic in Blue Pearl Bay, or a soulful spa treatment in one of the resort's rainforest cabanas, there's something for everyone. And when it comes to dining, the resort doesn't disappoint. With five distinct restaurants and bars—Pacific, Amici, Aqua, Bam Bam, and Grove Boutique & Café—as well as a range of private dining experiences, you can tailor your stay to your taste.
