Overview

The Silo Hotel is a testament to Cape Town's artistic and architectural prowess. This 5-star hotel, situated in the historic grain silo complex above the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA), has been creatively reimagined into a modern marvel. The exterior showcases the ingenuity of Heatherwick Studio in its unique glass windows, which sparkle like diamonds by day and transform the building into a glowing beacon by night. The hotel's prime location positions it right on the city's V&A Waterfront, making it easy for you to stroll to the bustling harbor and explore the myriad of attractions Cape Town has to offer.

Each of the Silo Hotel's 28 rooms exudes character, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of the harbor and Table Mountain. The hotel's decor celebrates art, style, and design, with each suite showcasing a collection of contemporary African art carefully selected by the hotel's owner, Liz Biden. The bedrooms are decked out with plush furnishings and offer a sanctuary of relaxation. The rooms range from cozy Silo Rooms with private balconies to luxurious two-bedroom Royal Suites with large living and dining areas. The crowning jewel of the hotel is the Penthouse, featuring a cinema room, a spa treatment room, two walk-in wardrobes, two marble bathrooms, and two spacious private balconies.

Executive Chef Veronica Canha-Hibbert leads an innovative dining team at the hotel, offering a wide range of culinary experiences, from simple, sophisticated dining to contemporary cuisine in extraordinary spaces. The Silo Rooftop is the perfect spot for a casual lunch or signature sunset cocktails. For a bit of pampering, visit The Silo Spa, a tranquil space offering a range of treatments designed to rejuvenate your senses. The hotel also features a private art gallery, The Vault, which emphasizes the hotel's passion for art and serves as a link between the hotel and local galleries in Cape Town.

The Silo was one of the best hotels Ive ever stayed in. I’ve been all over the world and this hotel had ceiling to floor windows in every room. I loved my view of the harbour and Table Mountain! Just can’t describe how pleased we were. The staff was super friendly and actually fixed my husbands broken reading glasses! Who does that! Read more
