My approach to travel is to try and showcase what makes a destination truly unique by creating an experience that not only allows you to see the known highlights, but also the subtleties of a destination that really connect with a traveller and make a specific trip individual to them.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"We specialise in responsible tourism within the tourism zones we visit. As Uganda is well known for Gorilla Trekking most of the responsible tourism initiatives are focused in two areas of Bwindi called Buhoma and Ruhija. Both the initiatives are women-led enterprises which benefit the communities that they work in. "
How did you get involved in travel?
"Travelling is something that I have done all my life. I was born in Kenya, moved to the UK where I travelled in Europe and Asia and I am now in Uganda close to where it all began. I believe that my personal experience enables me to offer immersive experiences to travellers who are looking to get more out of their time in East Africa."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"My profile photo was taken by a friend of mine once we had reached the top of the Cuidad Perdida in Columbia. This four-day hike through the Sierra Nevada was incredible. Each day your only goal was to get to the next checkpoint, which meant you were left to trek through areas of incredible natural beauty whilst coming across wildlife and culture that you would not get anywhere else in the world. Then all of a sudden there is this great clearing in the middle of the forest where the Lost City once stood. Standing up there looking into the distance was truly breathtaking."
