Antonia Seidenfaden
I'm originally from a small but pretty city in Germany called Kassel. Already during my last years in school I felt the need to explore and had the desire to travel and live in other countries. After I just turned 19 I packed by bags and left home. My first destination was Spain without knowing what would come next. I fully embraced the challenge and was curious where live would take me. Over a decade later I can proudly look back. I lived in Spain, South Africa, Scotland and The Netherlands, travelled to many more and will get to know even more.
Without traveling I wouldn't be the person I am today. People who travel show that they have an open-mindset and are curious to learn and experience culture, country and people that may live in a complete different way. And this is what I love about it.
How did you get involved in travel?
"Travel, tourism & hospitality has always been a passion of mine. From a young teenage age on I'd plan our family holidays and would spent hours reading through catalogues and selecting hotels that would fit all our requirements. I'd provide my parents with a narrowed down list of my top hotels with pro's & con's listed for each hotel. They would make the final decision and booking. We never had a bad holiday!
My parents realised early that travel and tourism was the right path for me and I'm grateful they enabled my to study abroad and travel a lot.
Until today things haven't changed. Whether it is a trip with my partner, our dogs or with friends, I'm the one in charge of planning the trip from departure until arrival back home. Being able to create unique and memorable experiences for others is just such a great joy in life! "

"My partner is from Bulgaria and for quite some time we had the plan to do a road trip from Amsterdam to Bulgaria and also take our two Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Hermine and Kiki, to show them his home country. New Year 2024/2025 this plan finally became reality. We drove 2000km+ and used this opportunity to discover Eastern Europe a little bit more. On the way there we stayed in Prague, discovered the beautiful old town and castle and tried the famous Czech beer. We drove through Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Serbia until we reached Bulgaria. We explored Sofia with our dogs and took them for a couple of days into the Balkan mountains for some shorter winter hikes in deep snow. We drove a similar way back but stayed in Bratislava this time. A city we fell in love with immediately. We couldn't get enough of the historic old town, tiny streets and impressive castle overlooking the Danube river.
This trip fulfilled my like no other. I was able to meet so many locals in each of the countries we visited. Everyone welcomed us and our dogs with open arms. People are proud of their culture and heritage and invited us to experience some of it. On top of that we traveled through stunning landscape which create the desire to explore more of that part of the world. "
