How did you get involved in travel?

"My passion for tourism began when I moved to Antigua from Guatemala City, at the age of nine. I fell in love with my country, our culture, our people, our architecture, and the unique scents and flavors that make Guatemala special. Antigua, as a tourist destination, gave me the chance to meet people from all over the world, some of whom I’m lucky to now call friends. I want to continue representing my country so that everyone who wishes to discover it can fall in love with it the same way I did."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"I have a vivid memory of a visit to Petén with my family, the first time we traveled there together. As we walked through the ruins, we came across a group of people performing a Mayan ceremony. I remember that we paused our walk and stood there watching in silence. I felt a deep sense of calm wash over me, and for a few moments, I was left speechless.

We continued our walk and started talking about what we had just witnessed. It turned out that my family had felt the same powerful sensation, even my daughter, who was only six years old at the time."
