Chrissy Dawkins
Originally from the UK, I've now made Nepal my home. I love Nepal and I love adventures. Taking people who have never been to Nepal before and showing them how amazing this country is truly is the best job in the world.
Alongside my partner, we run an outdoor adventure company that specializes in whitewater rafting and kayaking. We also organize school groups, volunteer groups and bespoke tours including trekking, safari, sightseeing, and adventure!
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"Nepal, Nepal, Nepal. Mostly all things water. Rafting, Kayaking, Canyoning, SUP & More. Also has a long history of running tours for school expedition groups. "
How did you get involved in travel?
"I first traveled outside of Europe after college and spent 6 months in West Africa (traveling through Ghana, Burkina Faso, Mali...made it all the way to Timbuktu and back again!) after that, I guess I was hooked. I forced myself to go to University and get my degree, and since then the longest I have spent in the UK at any one time is 3 months! I now call Nepal my home, but can make myself at home in pretty much any country I find myself in! "
Featured trips & expertise

Kali Gandaki River Rafting - 6 Days
This medium-length rafting expedition is an excellent way to take advantage of Nepal's post-monsoon rivers. Leaving from the popular lakeside town of Pokhara, you'll brave class III and IV rapids with an expert guide, camp and dine under the stars on riverside beaches, and kayak on smooth sections of the Kali Gandaki. This makes a fun addition to a trekking trip, or a stand-alone journey for travelers short on time.

Trisuli Rafting & Kayaking: 1-2 Days
The Trisuli is Nepal’s best river for day trips. Located centrally between Kathmandu, Chitwan, and Pokhara, it’s the perfect way to break up a long bus journey to your next destination. Why sit on a bus for 8 hours when you can raft half of it! It’s one of the most popular day trips in Nepal and is great for everyone, all year round.

Tamur Rafting & Kayaking Trip - 14 Days
This has to be the ultimate adventure trip in Nepal. Combining a breathtaking Himalayan trek (with views of Everest can we add!) with some world-class whitewater. Three days exploring Kathmandu and 11 days off the beaten track, and very much in the wild! You’ll need a great sense of adventure for this trip as the rapids are non-stop for the first few days and pretty hardcore. If you’re looking for a trip to get your heart pounding – this is the one!

Karnali Rafting & Kayaking - 13 Days
This is the longest and largest river in Nepal, springing from the sacred mountain of Mount Kailash in Tibet. This trip combines 4 epic days of intense whitewater followed by a more gentle float where you can soak up all the mind-blowing scenery. Finishing at Bardia National Park, you can combine this trip with a few days in the park on safari looking for tigers.

Sun Kosi Rafting & Kayaking Trip - 11 Days
Taking you through the heart of Nepal, this river trip is rated one of the top ten river journeys in the world by National Geographic. Well off the beaten track, you'll spend your days enjoying great whitewater, warm weather and the evenings camping on pristine, white sandy beaches.

Best Rafting Trips in Nepal: Day Trips & Multi-Day Trips
When you think of Nepal, the first thing that probably springs to mind is Mt. Everest, the Himalaya, and trekking. Well, have you ever thought about it as a rafting destination?
