Harriet Bristow

My goal is to create unique, individual experiences, that will become the most treasured of all memories. Working within my partner's company, I specialise in helping English-speaking clients to realise their dreams in French-speaking Corsica or elsewhere within the Mediterranean. My motto is, anything is possible!

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"France, in particular, the beautiful island of Corsica, which I am incredibly lucky to call home. Italy, our close neighbour and dear friend, including the Italian island of Sardinia, which is a stone's throw from our backyard. Walking and cycling are my favourite of all activities, but the island of Corsica offers something for everyone, whether it's beach, culture, food, nature. Travel for me, is about a whole range of interesting experiences. And now with a young family, I'm also interested in bringing exciting experiences to the very young. It's never too early to open your eyes to the world!
"

How did you get involved in travel?

"Travel has always been in my blood. Having spent my childhood growing up in Kenya, Dubai and Cyprus, I then spent a year working and travelling throughout India, and several months working in Tanzania. Graduating with a Masters degree in Geography, I then travelled the world as a negotiator at the United Nations Climate Change conferences. Cycling was my passion back then, and after a cycling holiday on the island of Corsica, I never looked back. Corsica has been my home now for the last 8 years, where my partner and I have worked hard at our own business, sharing the island and our interests with those that seek nature, beauty, adventure and the outdoors. "

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"Living and working on the Tanzanian coast, 5 hours by boat from the nearest town.
We were surveying the biodiversity of the coral reef, assisting the University of Dar Es Salaam to create a national Marine Park. We collected water from a well and firewood on a daily basis, lived off beans and rice and ooji (porridge), studied the marine world during the day, and the stars at night. Working with the local villages was an incredibly humbling experience. I came away from those months knowing what it was to feel alive.
