John Rueth

I am a German-Filipino who wants to inspire people to travel the beautiful Philippines. Media coverage has been rather negative during the past decades as far as I could tell but the country has a lot to offer, and is a perfect destination for travelers who want to experience true adventures. Most of my semester breaks, I have spent traveling many of the 7641 islands. I will do my very best to include some gemstones and highlights in a unique itinerary for you, often times off the beaten path!

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"I prefer to design tours in the Visayas and in Mindanao but would also come up with unique itineraries including Palawan and Luzon, of course. Being an ironman triathlete, I do love sports but I have also drafted many honeymoon travels, family holidays and luxury tours, apart from active adventure trips."

How did you get involved in travel?

"I have started a blog about traveling the Philippines in 2009. After receiving many e-mails from readers, I have started a small tour company. Nowadays, my team and I are running one of the leading travel companies in the Philippines, specializing in bespoke tours for guests from all over the world, especially Europe, Australia, and Northern America."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"Traveling on the "Milagrosa" from Ilo Ilo City to Puerto Princesa (Palawan) in about 47 hours with a short stopover in Cuyo Islands. We got into a heavy seastorm, everybody was sea-sick, and feeling land under our feet again felt unreal"
