How did you get involved in travel?

"Growing up in a flat and small country, I was always drawn to exploring new places. I've traveled all over the world and even lived in Spain for almost a year. After returning to the Netherlands, I turned that passion into a career and spent 3.5 years specializing in Scandinavian travel. Eventually falling so in love with Norway that I decided to relocate here and experience it from the inside out."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"Because I like to experience places and cultures at their most authentic, I decided to travel through Madagascar on a motorbike, while most visitors explore the country in a 4x4 with a driver. This choice made all the difference. I could stop wherever I wanted, and locals responded to me in a completely different way than they would to just another jeep passing by. By taking the time to stop and listen, I got invited into people's homes and lives in a way that would never have happened otherwise. Some of the poorest people in the world, yet among the most warm and welcoming I have ever met."
