You carefully considered my recommendations, provided thoughtful feedback, and worked collaboratively to create an itinerary that reflected your travel style and interests.
I am especially happy to hear that the locations along the Sognefjord, as well as the accommodations and their beautiful surroundings, matched your expectations. Those places are among my favorites in Norway, and it is always rewarding to know that travelers enjoy them as much as I hoped they would.
You were wonderfully independent throughout the journey while remaining appreciative and positive at every stage of the trip, which made it especially enjoyable to assist you.
I sincerely hope that Norway has inspired you. There is still so much more to discover, and it would be exciting and a true privilege to be your travel specialist again when the time comes.
I wish you and your families all the best. :)

Our trip to Norway was great, and we were very happy with our KimKim experience. Mathia did a great job helping to translate our trip preferences into a detailed itinerary during the planning process. He also answered various questions that we had about various aspects of the trip. The KimKim chat feature was very helpful for this, and Mathia was always very prompt with his replies. As our plans solidified, Mathia handled all hotel reservations, train and ferry reservations, and internal transfers. All of this information was then consolidated into our trip plan on the KimKim website.

During our trip, we used the KimKim app to follow our trip plan--this was very helpful. There were no surprises or missed bookings. At a couple points I used the chat feature to reach out to the KimKim team to ask a question and got prompt, clear answers, including over the weekend. Mathia had set up three different 3-hour guided excursions as part of out trip, which I would highly recommend. Our local guides (Stig in Oslo, John in Bergen, Tiril in Aurland) were excellent--very knowledgeable and passionate, friendly, happy to answer questions, and accommodating of requests to adjust the itinerary a bit during the tour itself based on our preferences.

Overall we had a great experience both before and during the trip. KimKim helped manage the details and connect us to great experiences, while still preserving a lot of flexibility and independence during the trip. Thanks to Mathia and the KimKim team.

She did a wonderful job rescheduling our Northern Lights Safari due to inclement weather on the originally scheduled date.

My only disappointment was when she said she could not book the planned dog sledding experience. When I looked into this myself I found many opportunities, and arranged a great experience on my own.

Visiting Norway was a great experience. The country is beautiful at every turn, the food is wonderful, and the people very friendly.

Dear Stephen,
Thank you very much for your nice feedback. I’m really happy to hear that the trip went well and that most of the accommodations were satisfying for you.
I would also like to apologize for the dog sledding tour situation. The supplier in Senja that I usually work with had placed me on a waiting list, and it seems you were quicker than me in securing the activity on your own.
Wishing you and your family all the best, and thank you again for traveling with us. :)

Our trip to Norway was an unexpected and unplanned Christmas revelation - it was merely an extension of another planned trip to Rome. After extensive consulting with our expert who spared no detail in planning our itinerary, Ms. Katie, I realized, we were up for an adventure of a lifetime. She recommended beautiful quaint Tromsø and two sites in Senja (Hamn-Senja and Norwegian Wild) to explore. Not even an unseasonable snowstorm dampened our trip. The polar nights added to the beauty and much needed quietude and stillness to appreciate the raw grandeur of Senja Islands and arctic north. The transportation and accommodations she chose were top notch and comfortable (Hygge is not a buzzword. It is a lifestyle, my friends!). Our cabins in Hamn and Norwegian Wild allowed for expansive views of the natural beauty in the northern Norway and Ånderdalen National Park. The fresh and healthy food were prepared with love (“just like my grandmother served me in childhood”, said our host and proprietor of Norwegian Wild, Hege). We drank the best water from the tap and ate fresh powdery snow! Our winter adventures were capped by the warmth and welcoming Norwegians: our driver from Tromsø, Finn-Åge who we ran into while waiting for Stig to pick us up in Finnsnes, the chefs and bartender and activity coordinator in Hamn-Senja, Franco and Roberto at Norwegian Wild talked to us with excitement about our stay. The piece de resistance: we saw the aurora borealis when the winter clouds parted, while hot tubbing next to our cabin (named Silda)! Silda means herring - our trip was a rarity, much like a red herring!

We used trains, planes, automobiles and boats to get all around Norway and everything was seamless. Katie's attention to detail was perfect. Kimkim was available to us while we were in Norway (there were a couple of occasions where they didn't seem to have our prepaid reservation at a hotel and once, our shuttle was very late). Kimkim called these businesses for us to help make sure all was ok. Katie really listened to what we were looking for and chose hotels that we really liked. I also liked that we could leave some days unplanned but Katie still gave us ideas of things to do once we arrived. I would use Kimkim again and again!

As senior citizens traveling on our own (with too much luggage), this trip looked to be ambitious and arduous. I was anxious about our extensive in-country travel, with all the buses, trains, ships, planes. But it went smoothly, thanks to pretrip communications with Christina, maps she included in the itinerary, and because she booked us into nice hotels close to terminals. Bente in Lillehammer, Stig in Oslo, and John In Bergen were all excellent. We especially appreciated Bente's efforts to bring us to Øvre Ulland, the farm my great great grandfather came from in the 1850's. That was special. Our walk through Oslo with Stig was great. He was easy to talk to about life in Norway, current events, and we were able to effectively explore your beautiful capitol on our own afterwards. At City Hall on Sunday we visited with residents, many wearing their bunads, who were attending a weekly ceremony celebrating and welcoming young children. Three days was not nearly enough time for Oslo. Every part of the country we visited was spectacularly beautiful. We did the Norway in a Nutshell experience with a little hesitation (because we were going to be spending a week cruising with Havila), but we are very happy we did it. So beautiful! The cruise along the coast was lovely. All aspects were great, except for cloudy nights obscuring the Northern Lights. I guess we'll just have to come back and spend enough time away from the cloudy coast to see them. Spending 2 days in Tromsø and the excursion to the Sami reindeer family was also highlights. And the food was great! Minnesota is 1,500 km from the nearest ocean, so to be able to eat fresh seafood 3 meals a day - I was in heaven, gastronomically speaking. Overall, the trip of a lifetime for us. Many thanks, Christina!
