Nuru Wangdi Sherpa
A native of the Himalayan Range and raised in Kathmandu, traveling allows me a glimpse of life distinct from the hustle and bustle of the Kathmandu valley. I believe traveling can become another way of learning things outside conventional education while also providing experiences to carry with ourselves for a lifetime.
How did you get involved in travel?
"My earliest experience of traveling to the Everest Region at the age of 13, with my dad and his trekking clients. I made a lot of fond memories as well as learned how difficult it can become for people in the Himalayas given the harsh topography and somewhat poor economy. It was then when I wondered if I could improve the lives of people in the Himalayan range with the help of tourism and I am still on the journey in doing so."
