I'm Silviu Martin, an entrepreneur who is passionate about cycling and travel. My promise is to support you with my unmatched local expertise to deliver the most authentic experience possible.
I believe that an unforgettable travel experience has to have these ingredients:
> a truly epic landscape
> an authentic experience
> stellar support
In 2017, I have successfully finished one of the toughest ultra cycling races and definitely my biggest challenge so far, The Transcontinental Race. In 2018, I'm training to race for another epic race, this time in Ireland, The TransAtlantic Way.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"I'm passionate about sports in general but I focus on road cycling. Me and my team love to design bespoke trips in the Balkans with Romania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Croatia, and Slovenia being our focus at this time. We can support fellow cyclists in exploring the epic roads of Transfagarasan and Transalpina in Romania, the Mangart in Slovenia, the Sv. Jure in Croatia along with its fabulous islands."
How did you get involved in travel?
"I believe that traveling is not only about exploring the world and seeing new places. It's also about seeing yourself with new eyes. I've always been fascinated about the freedom of exploring new countries, practicing sports and meeting new people. I feel that travelling is just a natural part of who I am and what do best."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"I have so many dear moments that I remember but I have to say that my most epic adventure was cycling from Belgium to Greece in 17 days. It was a 4.000 km bike journey I will definitely not forget."

Silviu set us up with great road bikes · Romania - Sep 19 - Oct 3, 2019
Silviu set us up with great road bikes and some great routes for our self guided biking week.. Romanian drivers drive fast and with aggression, so the quieter routes were much more enjoyable. With hindsight we would have requested that Silviu keep us off extended rides on major highways with no shoulder, as riding those roads can be frightening and dangerous. Silviu’s selected hotels and guest houses were excellent, as were his restaurant recommendations which we requested. We would have... read more
Fall 2019 Journey · Romania - Sep 22 - Oct 1, 2019
The KimKim portal turned out to be an excellent tool to work with Silviu during the planning stages of the trip. It is easy to navigate and by keeping and allowing full access to the running dialogue, I found it a very good repository for reference and sharing with the rest of our group.
Silviu was responsive and very willing to tailor the trip to our requirements. He included everything that we had set out for him as our "wish list" for the trip and offered some options for our... read more
cycling around saxon villages · Romania - May 5 - May 13, 2019
The Saxon villages of Transylvania sounded to me like an intriguing place to visit on a bike. it is marketed as a region full of history, social upheaval and change, all set to a backdrop of stunning scenery. it is all of these things and more, the little medieval villages inhabited by industrious saxon farmers for over eight hundred years lie in amongst the pretty wooded meadows and valleys.
Due to economic deprivation over many years, these once prosperous villages are now set in a time... read more
