My role as principal ski and ebike leader comes from being a founder of Inspired ITALY. We aim to provide a highly personalised, unique service to all guests. We have our ears to the ground, we know and understand our locality. Inspired ITALY guests should feel comfortable yet enhanced whether culturally, physically or experientially.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"Umbria, Tuscany and Dolomite mountains."
How did you get involved in travel?
"The travel bug took hold early in my life. From long, adventurous bicycle trips with my school pals, I migrated to further horizons when my grandparents took me on vacation to Spain at the age of eight in 1969. I was one of the first from my village to fly in a jet and take a vacation overseas. Ever since I have managed and arranged trips for friends, family and sports clubs. My first major 'commercial' trip - a sponsored expedition - was to Kenya when we migrated by hang glider along the Rift Valley. You can see it on Youtube - Flight of the Dacron Eagles. It was almost inevitable that one day we would start our own tour operator business!"
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"In 1992 I conceived, created and led a hang gliding expedition at the request of the BBC series, 'Classic Adventure'. Four hang glider pilots migrated along the Rift Valley, sleeping under their gliders each night and completing around 450 miles in four weeks. From Lake Tukana in the north to Lake Magadi in the south, we flew every single yard by hang glider. It is a world first - The Flight of the Dacron Eagles."
