"I wanted to touch base with you after Duco to tell you all about an amazing event we planned and managed in the springtime; I think it could be a great track record, and possibly inspiration, for your future guests.
Errore. Il nome file non è specificato.
It took place in early May, the very beginning of the season (so it felt like a splendidly auspicious omen!).
It was a group of 14, all VIPs, travelling to Tuscany for a celebration. They flew into Florence on private jets, and that’s where their fairytale vacation started, right at the airport, where we welcomed them with music and sparkling glasses of chilled Prosecco.
They then boarded our deluxe vans and comfortably traveled to the sensational Tuscan residence we had booked for their stay: a majestic 17th century villa recently restored and refurbished with care by the owner with the help of a renowned Tuscan architect.
Located in an outstanding position in the heart of the Tuscan countryside the villa boasts 360° views of the surrounding rolling hills, where the vineyards, well-groomed fields and olive groves form a melodious palette of green and silvery hues. A quintessentially Tuscan, and simply enchanting, landscape!
On the first night we organized a Welcome Aperitivo get-together at the Villa, followed by a one-of-a-kind dinner at the brand new Antinori winery. The winery, one of the most stunning in the whole of Europe, was open exclusively for our guests, and we exceptionally hosted the dinner in the actual cellars, where the greatest wines come to life.
The next morning started off in great style, and at high speed: 7 glistening Ferraris at our guests’ disposal for a memorable day spent touring (and roaring through!) the Chianti hills.
They started off near Greve in Chianti, a pretty town known as the “gateway” to Chianti, and stopped in charming Volpaia for an on-the-road tasting of the best local olive oil, farm-made cheese and savory slices of prosciutto.
Traveling along picturesque country roads lined by flower-filled meadows they admired villages and parish churches, and then reached their road trip destination: an imposing ancient Medieval Castle where they enjoyed a scrumptious typical Tuscan lunch.
In the afternoon a leisurely Pool-side party, and time to lay back, relax and get ready for their Gala Evening, a superb dinner party held in one of the most exclusive privately owned noble mansions in the center of Florence.
Welcomed upon arrival by a glass of the finest of Red Supertuscans served by an experienced Florentine sommelier, guests were stunned by the breathtaking views of the Arno river, by the elegantly set tables and lush floral décor.
Style, and the most exquisite of flavors and aromas, continued throughout dinner: a carefully crafted menu especially designed to pair extraordinary wines and specialty dishes. Then they all set off for some clubbing in Florence’s most fashionable haunts, to dance the night away!
A farewell lunch, and thoughtful gifts from the Villa’s owner, followed on the last day. Gifts included a lovely Magnum of Tuscan red signed by both the oenologist in charge and the owner of the Villa.
A precious iconic souvenir for guests whom, I daresay, will not forget this vacation easily.
