Riga is my home in the Baltic States (Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia). Backpacking and hiking in different parts of the world, I discovered that I like to talk about my city and the region’s history, culture, and nature. That is why I started to guide people. Talking about the local culture, traditions, and sights makes me happy and it would be great to share with you my travel ideas and trip plans so you can discover the Baltic States.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"I specialize in planning culture and adventure tours. Do you want to learn about the traditional cooking like smoking fishes, ride bicycle through the country side, visit a local farm and taste home-made food? We know how it’s to be a traveler and to make the travel itinerary so you have the best experience."

How did you get involved in travel?

"After 7 years of experience in planning, leading, and guiding tours I decided to become an entrepreneur to share my passion for adventures and create tours which give guest emotions, knowledge, and understanding. The concept came from my time abroad and what I liked to do in my travels. Usually, I planned an active trip outside the city, visited villages, towns, and I liked to get to know, experience, and understand more about it by visiting museums, nature parks, and artisan workshops. Nowadays, when I plan trips for my guests I think, how I would like the travel experience and how this would fit the guest."

Our trip was fantastic thanks to the expert planning of kimkim's local specialist - Valdis, and our INCREDIBLE guide, Tomas. From a planning perspective, working with Valdis made organizing and planning our trip simple and easy, especially since he took care of almost all the details and was sure to incorporate our group needs/preferences into the itinerary planning. He also was responsive to changes in our itinerary when we decided to extend a day because we were enjoying our trip so much! Valdis was excellent at building a trip that was easy to take, easy to enjoy, and easy to relax on!

Most importantly though, Valdis chose an excellent guide to show us around Lithuania. Our guide Tomas went above and beyond to ensure our trip was a 10/10 experience. From a professional perspective, Tomas was an extremely thorough and effective guide. He was able to teach us so much about Lithuania and all that we were seeing and he showcased his extensive knowledge by being flexible with our interests and itinerary. Tomas also went above and beyond to acclimate us to every area we went to, having not only knowledge of the history and legacy, but also of great places to eat and locals only tips for seeing the best parts of the cities we visited. On a personal level, we really enjoyed spending time with Tomas on our trip! He was friendly, kind and a joy to have with us. His company on our trip was a highlight for the group! We could not have imagined a more perfect guide for us.

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! In a quiet part of town just off of the city park -- making it a relaxing place to stay! We loved the breakfast and the hotel amenities, including the sauna! Rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. A really relaxing hotel with great service and comfort. Of note is that there is no elevator and there are many stairs -- it was no problem for our group, but could be for others.

Nice hotel with comfortable rooms! The rooms are a bit outdated but very spacious and comfortable. Great location once construction in the main square is finished.

By far one of our favorite days of the trip! Would not skip this excursion and would even go back to stay on the spit for longer. We really enjoyed exploring the diverse landscape, learning about the traditions of the spit, and enjoying the nature.

We did a one-week tour of Lithuania in early May 2025, including Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Palanga, and Siaulou. Our guide Tomas was very knowledgeable, pleasant, patient and polite. He was also a good driver. My background is partly Lithuanian and Tomas listened to my family stories, helped me translate and understand some letters and documents from the early 20th century, and connected those to things he showed us during the trip. The country is beautiful and clean, affordable and safe. We did not have a single bad meal. I highly recommend this company and this tour of Lithuania.

Front desk manager mentioned there was a sauna and offered to warm it up for us.

Sauna was very clean. For guests with large heavy bags note that there is no elevator.

We did the Baltic Sampler trip (or I think that's what it was called) - starting in Helsinki, and then moving on to Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Valdis was very helpful throughout and very responsive as we asked questions and made tweaks in the itinerary. He booked excellent hotels for us, and arranged for truly excellent local guides to help us truly understand the places we were visiting, as well as getting access to experiences like a tea ceremony, and a cooking classes. I highly recommend working with Valdis and this platform.

This hotel was clean, comfortable and safe. The staff were very friendly, accessible and helpful. The food at the restaurant was truly enjoyable. The location cannot be beat and overall this hotel is definitely a fabulous deal for the money.

Overall we had a good trip. The private guides were all amazing! At times things felt a bit disjointed but our trip coordinator Ieva made herself available via WhatsApp so we could coordinate.
