Vanesa Carro
I first flew on an airplane at the age of sixteen years old. From that day, my wild spirit leads me to any corner of the world. Travel is an investment, not a waste of money or time. Everything I've learned in my life is thanks to the places I've had the chance of visiting. I'm very keen on food and culture, and I'm a real sky catcher. I never forget my camera at home and as a digital nomad, I always share my local tips on social media. And, of course, the way I organize trips for myself is also the way I arrange trips for my travelers!
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"Madrid is my hometown but I consider myself so lucky because I've traveled all over Spain, Portugal, and Morocco since I was a child. My family has the travel DNA too, so I have great memories of my teenhood when we packed some random stuff and went away to spend a weekend, no matter where, even with a tent. We love wandering around villages, mountains, and lakes. And there is nothing better than sharing some yummy food in a local restaurant.
Nevertheless, we always add a pinch of culture to each place we go to. Museums, castles or palaces are not a secret to me. I can spend hours staring at the stunning details of the Alhambra or imagine what life would be at Sintra Palace."
How did you get involved in travel?
"Since I was a teenager, I have been fascinated by the travel industry and that's why I've decided to study tourism management, as well as different languages. I've worked in different areas over the years and have finally I've found my real passion: showing Spain to the world as a native, with amazing experiences to discover how magical our land is!"
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"As a mountain lover, I was shocked the first time I saw Lake Louise in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. I couldn't believe that dramatic beauty. "
