Elephant Plains Game Lodge, Sabi Sands Game Reserve

Located in the northern part of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, Elephant Plains Game Lodge allows for excellent viewing opportunities of the Big Five, allowing you to spot the African elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros. The lodge's convenient location lets you explore Mala Mala and Manyeleti Game Reserves within an hour by car. Many guests appreciate the expansive views of the plains from the balconies and the lush forest with giant trees surrounding the lodge. 

Elephant Plains Game Lodge offers various accommodation options, each spacious and with air-conditioning. The Rondavels, set in a beautifully landscaped garden, exude old bushveld charm. The Luxury Suites embody natural design and architectural flow with a private viewing deck offering views over the riverbed. The Manyeleti Honeymoon Suite is an elegant retreat featuring a large private balcony with a splash pool for honeymooners or those who want a romantic getaway. Some rooms include soaking tubs and outdoor showers. 

Many guests visit the property to experience the game drives, which occur twice daily. During these safaris, a game ranger and local Shangaan tracker will drive you into the bush to track the Big Five and other wildlife, like cheetahs and various birds. Morning drives include coffee and homemade rusks, while afternoon trips have specialty sundowner drinks. The lodge also offers bush walks.

During your time at Elephant Plains, you can enjoy the two swimming pools, the gym, and the games room. When hungry, savor a fusion of international cuisine and South African specialties in the dining room or enjoy a meal under the African sky by the log fire in the boma.
