My utmost desire is to create an extraordinary experience for you during your trip to Morocco. That's why every choice I make, from the places you'll visit to the accommodations you'll stay in, is guided by a deep passion for showcasing the authenticity that this beautiful country has to offer.
When it comes to accommodations, I go the extra mile to handpick places that possess a unique charm and blend comfort with a genuine Moroccan soul. I personally visit hotels, riads, and lodges in each city to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and authenticity. By favoring smaller, intimate establishments, we can provide you with a more personal and immersive experience, away from large hotel complexes.
But it's not just about the well-known highlights. I want to take you on a journey of discovery to lesser-known, preserved places that are often hidden from the eyes of foreign travelers. During my own explorations, I seek out these off-the-beaten-path gems, allowing you to truly connect with the local culture and experience Morocco from a different perspective.
The people you'll encounter along the way will welcome you with open arms, treating you as a friend rather than a tourist. They'll be delighted to share their traditions, stories, and hospitality, creating meaningful interactions that will leave a lasting impression.
With my carefully curated itinerary and dedication to providing you with an authentic Moroccan experience, I aim to make your trip unforgettable, filled with cherished memories and a deep appreciation for this captivating country.

Our driver added some wonderful stops and driving routes to our tour. He answered all of our questions or said that he didn’t know the answer or would find it (which is a good answer instead of making something up!) He was punctual and made a genuine effort to make us feel cared for in terms of comfort and satisfaction. He was always happy to make a stop when we requested one. In addition, he was so helpful in loading and unloading our luggage…and us…into and out of the vehicle.
Our experience at the Tiziri Luxury Camp in the Sahara desert was extraordinary from the time we were greeted and transferred to our camel ride until we were treated to an exhilarating surprise 4X4 ride back to our driver. The food at the desert camp was absolutely wonderful. We especially enjoyed the camel guide and the Berber driver-guide at the desert camp.
Our group of six included an 8-year-old and a 13-year-old plus their parents and their senior citizen grandparents. We were all happy during each day of our family adventure in Morocco.
Hotel Reviews
Our family of 6 stayed in two rooms at the gorgeous Riad Chbanate. Which was better…the warm and friendly staff, the tasty and beautiful breakfast or the beautiful architecture? We’re still discussing this!
The photos of the lovely Palais Sebban are accurate. It is truly THAT beautiful. Breakfast near the pool each morning was scrumptious, and the two rooms used by our multigenerational family of six were independently interesting and intriguing. We loved all the hidden corners and winding stairs. Breakfast staff members were so very friendly and great with our 8-year-old and 13-year-old kids.
Riad Ksar Ighnda

Riad Ksar Ighnda is jaw-droppingly beautiful. Be sure to visit its ancient mosque and go up to the roof for sunset. Our one night stay was not enough.

We booked with original travels through kimkim and had a great time. Our specialist was Said and our Driver was Lahcen. We had Hinan as our food and history tour guide in Marrakech. Badr was our local guide in Skoura (not sure if he works for original travels). Youssef and Mustafa took great care of us at Tiziri Camp in Merzouga. IT ended in Fez with out guide Sharief.
The guides were all amazing and friendly. They tolerated my constant questions and inquiries. We had a great time bonding with them, learning about the culture, country, music, food, daily life, education, careers, Berber culture, language.
All of the guides did their best to accommodate me with my gluten allergy. The car was comfortable and spacious/clean. Our Driver took great care to follow the law and rules when it came to driving, safety and seat belts. He also did his best to communicate any needs/changes and requests and make the appropriate arrangements while we were on excursions. He was easily available by whatsapp and so was Siad. Our driver was available to us anytime if we needed to get a ride somewhere though we were so well taken care of, we did not end up needing to utilize this privilege. Lahcen also made plenty of spots for pictures along our long drives. He was aware of all the drives, routes, alternate options and restaurants/bathrooms/picture spots along the way. He also made sure to only stop at reputable looking clean places for restroom and snack breaks.
Getting our food tour on the first day of our trip really set us up for success because food is a big part of life so we knew what we wanted to ask for when we would eat and what I would specifically need to avoid due to my allergy. It was nice to get a background.
When I first contacted them about my requests for a tour, they were able to modify the trip to our likes/dislikes and needs.
If I were to give a suggestion to future guests and redoing this specific tour, I would recommend not to spend more than a few hours in Casablanca (definitely visit the Hassan II mosque and go on their tour). I would not spend time in Fes except to visit the tannery and ceramics workshop so maybe I would stay for one day and night but if you don't care for it then I would cut out Fes. I would spend majority of my time in South Morocco which encompasses Marrakech, the desert, Skoura and surrounding areas. Rabat was a capital city like every other city in the world. It is definitely beautiful and gave us Los Angeles feels with the beach.
All in all, we would love to go back to Morocco and use this company again.

Love love love! Do not skip this experience. The people make this camp. They are so kind, and hard working and they do everything in their power to make your stay comfortable. Remember it gets realllly cold at night. Your excursion from here to the nomads, camel rides, atv, berber village, garden, music performance at another tribe, nighttime music and "hangout" by the fire are all worth it. Remember it is a desert and they try their best to be eco friendly so you will have to be mindful not to be wasteful. You can charge your phone and small electronics and use them but NOT a hair dryer. Bring shoes that area easy to clean after being out in the sand and avoid walking on the carpets with them. Some people break up their night stay and do 1 - 2 nights in the tent and another night or two at the hotel nearby to be able to get their regular comforts and thorough showers in, use a hair dryer etc.
It is literally a palace! The garden is breathtaking! Good amenities and quality. The staff is very friendly. It is located right in the medina. The walk up to it was cool because it looks like you are lost in a tight labyrinth until you suddenly face the large door and walk in.
My favorite hotel in the entire trip because it was so personalized. It was small and intimate, romantic. Had avilability of all amenities. We did not use the pool or spa but love the garden and room. The room was beautiful and spacious. the tub in the bathroom drained too slow so water would stay stagnant while showering. The chef and food was so amazing. They accomadated my gluten free allergy and made me moroccan breads that were gluten free so I could experience true moroccan cuisine

Our trip to Morocco was fascinating! I did not have any interaction with Abdellah but my husband did and since he delegated us to Said we did have a conversation with him once. We had the opportunity to visit many different places with many different landscapes. We experienced the delicious cuisine of Morocco and got to meet some local people as well during our travels. Our trip began at the port of Tangiers where we were picked up by our driver Soufian. Soufian is a quiet but friendly and helpful person and he remained with us till the very end. We were driven to Chefchaouen where we stayed the night at Lina Ryad & spa. Our Ryad was clean and comfortable but climbing up a couple of flights of stairs was a little difficult. The bathroom needed a bit of maintenance though. Their breakfast service was unique and their staff were friendly and professional. From here we drove to Fes via Meknes where we stopped for lunch. At Fes we stayed at Riad Fes Nass Zmane. We were greeted by Ismail who gets top marks for his politeness and professionalism. Our room again was upstairs and climbing stairs was a bit of an ordeal. The room was well lit and comfortable but the bed was hard and the bathroom sink was not draining properly. We were asked to order from their kitchen and I have to stay their Pastilla was delicious. The first morning breakfast was served to the 2 of us on our table and was reasonable since we were the only ones staying at that Riad. The other morning a buffet was served which was way more sumptuous. Our guided tour with Mr Mohammad Hafeez was good and he was very enthusiastic and professional. Our dinner with Mr Said's family was very special but a word of caution to people who are claustrophobic and or have difficulty climbing stairs, it was a little harrowing getting up to their home. They were wonderful people though warm and welcoming. Their Harira was the best! The next day we went by train to Marrakech and it was very well arranged by our tour company. Although a fun experience in hind sight I might skip this one. Felt crowded in a" first class" cabin with 4 other people who kept changing as we reached different cities. We did encounter 2 young women who were very friendly and offered advice to things we should try while in Morocco. We were picked up by Soufian and then driven to Agadir. Our hotel seemed like we were in Europe and not Morocco. One front desk gentleman was rude and condescending but the others were helpful. The location of this hotel, Iberostar is what makes it amazing not the plentiful food which was average. The Berber souk was a great place to shop. Next we were in Marrakech. Palais Sebban is beautiful but our room was old and tired. The curtains were heavy and the cushions seemed to harbor allergens which started my incessant sneezing. The bathroom door was see through and did not offer privacy. Their breakfast could've been better. The cheese looked old and dry and their bread was hard. The best part was their fresh Msemen! Hannan was a good guide. Friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The next day we were to visit Ouzud waterfalls in Ourika valley. This excursion is not meant for people with physical limitations and we were not adequately warned what it might entail. Less than halfway through the walk up the mountain we had to abort it because was too dangerous for us to climb up much to our guide Mohammad's disappointment whose mother had prepared lunch for us. Her mother did come down to meet us which was delightful. The roads leading up to this place were under construction and we could witness people living in tents following last years earthquake, a sad event. I would have chosen another excursion instead of this one. Our driver Soufian was punctual and came the next day to drive us to the airport. All in all it was an unforgettable trip!

Chefchaouen
Great location. Clean and comfortable. Unique table service for breakfast. Stairs need rails on both sides for people with physical limitations since all rooms are on higher floors. Bathroom needs maintainance ( paint peeling, caulking etc)
Good location. Rooms require stair climbing therefore need hand rails on both sides. Room was spacious. Need place to keep luggage. No closet. Bathroom sink did not drain properly. Beds very hard. Their breakfast buffet was good. One day we were served at the table which was average.
Iberostar Founty Beach
Agadir
Great location on the beach. Clean and comfortable. No facial tissues provided. Food was plenty but average
Great location. Beautiful in appearance. Hotel room looked old and tired. No privacy between bathroom and bedroom ( It was a see through wooden carved door). Not adequate lighting in room. Heavy drapes and cushions harbor allergens so people with allergies need to take anti histamines if they stay here. All Riads have stairs everywhere but not adequate support. Needs handrails on either side of stairs. Breakfast was average. Cheese seemed stale and bread was hard. Mesamen was fresh and great as were their juices.

Hotel Reviews
Lina Ryad & Spa
Chefchaouen
This Hotel Deserves a Full 5 star rating EXCEPT for -- see below.
It is ideally located -- Near the central restaurant area of the Chefchaouen, and also car transport when coming into the city can drop you real close to the entrance of the Riad. It is really beautiful and clean inside and well staffed. No worn out or excessive draperies etc. It had a pool and other miscellaneous services (like Hammam) are probably available- we did not use them. Excellent Breakfast and Breakfast nook with a real log fire.
As Riads go -- one encounters narrow and sometimes winding staircases with triangular steps to navigate curves and turns in the stair case. Something to make note of as it may be physically challenging for some. (This is something common to many Moroccan hotels)
The one thing I didn't like was how our luggage was handled. The Hotel sent personnel to take our luggage from the car to the Hotel reception for which they get 10/10- but instead of putting suitcases in a luggage cart, they simply lugged our suitcases over stone lined cobble stone streets - like conducting a Consumer Reports Stress test of our luggage wheels. Thud Thud, rutt tutt rutt thud - Definitely not worth it -- if your your luggage wheel breaks off -- the rest of your Moroccan and return journey across airports will be "Hell" with broken off wheels. We saw in other places in Morocco how Hotel staff does use Luggage Carts to carry your suitcases.
Staff
See above -- luggage handling issue. Luggage was moved across rough paved streets with sometimes wet sewage
Stunningly Beautiful. Great Location for the Fes Medina access.
Decor inside the hotel and the room is great.
Not the fault of the hotel - but a stale putrid smell is present in the streets of the Medina the hotel is located in.
Inside the hotel no problem - but you can fell it the moment you step out in the street.
Cleanliness & Comfort
As it is all over Morocco, the stairs, the banisters are never to international standards. You will find that steps and staircases are uneven .
The Bathroom sink merely tolerates the sink faucet spout to run at a trickle, whether it is blocked with muck or it is kept to work like that to conserve water is unclear. Our room was Named "TULIP" -- avoid this room because of faulty plumbing. No luggage stands in the room.
Iberostar Founty Beach
Agadir
It is like any good hotel in the USA -- to come here after your stay in various Riads of Morocco, one feels a great sense of relief. You can breathe, eat, walk. Everything functions as it is supposed to. Large verandahs, great views, access to the Boardwalk Promenade and of course to the Beach and the sea.
There is not much to do in the town itself. Shop the Souks and Handicrafts.
The hotel does exchange your money to local Moroccan Dirhams - a great convenience for a bit of loss for the convenience. Taxi is available at the front door, so one does not get the feel of being trapped, like in Caribbean resorts.
Authenticity & Character
Western or European - like you are NOT in Morocco any more. Like you are on a large Cruise ship
Staff
We had a bit of rude arrogant smart ass young chaps at the front desk on check in day, would give insufficient answers -- but the rest was perfect.
It was a Riad with the most Beautiful interior we had yet seen in Morocco. It felt like we were moved back in History and time.
It's location with respect to the Central Square Jemaa el Fna is prefect. Access to Qutubia Mosque was also convenient.
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful.
We would have preferred a bit more lighting or brightness level in our room -- but it was what it was. Dim lights.
This Riad did not have a TV in the room - but the internet Wifi was strong - so who needs TV.
Location
Located with easy access to the Medina and Jemaa El Fna square, yet it is away from the noise of the Medina.
Cleanliness & Comfort
It is clean, perfect plumbing, just that room was dimly lit, and access to the Breakfast nook is across up and down stairs

It warms our hearts to know that the dinner at Siad's home in Fez was a special highlight, with his sons adding a charming touch to the evening with their guitar and singing. It sounds like you had a truly authentic and enjoyable cultural experience.
Your appreciation for the riads, especially the beauty of Riad Salam Fes and the outstanding experience at Palais Sebban, is wonderful to hear. We're glad the New Year's Eve celebration at Palais Sebban was a night to remember, filled with joy and fun.
The camel ride into the desert at sunset and your stay at Tiziri Luxury Eco Camp being a highlight exceeded your expectations is fantastic news. We understand the desire to extend your stay there, as these unique experiences are truly once-in-a-lifetime.
We appreciate your kind words about our team at KimKim. It brings us great satisfaction to have been a part of organizing a wonderful and meaningful trip for your family. Your satisfaction is our ultimate goal, and we're delighted to have met and exceeded your expectations.

Overall we are very happy we booked through Kimkim on a recent 7 day tour to Morocco that just concluded before the New Year. For context there were 3 of us on this 7 day journey, my wife, my young adult daughter and myself. We flew out from NYC. All three of us have busy schedules and we were looking for something adventurous but not borderline dangerous (e.g. Egypt or Turkey at this time). We are not into camping, interested in history but not looking for a full blown history course either.
Fast forward to the punchline: Kimkim is good and delivered on its promise. I like their descriptive itineraries. Mostly accurate. But Original Travels led by Abdellah really delivered and we are glad we had Original looking out for us and providing prompt service. Flying in we knew Morocco was a welcoming country but also a lower middle-income country. This meant hotel accommodations could have a wide range. Hence, we picked the "luxury" tier service (not into camping nor campy). We did not expect Four Seasons but a US style Holiday Inn was the expected floor. We stayed in 4 places over 7 days, Casablanca, Chefchaouen, Fes and Marrakech. We love the variety of hotels and luxury ryads Original curated for us. Each were unique. La Maison Arabe hotel ranks as our favorite stay. Sofitel in Casablanca was a perfect modern choice after a red eye flight - and has a fabulous breakfast. Lina ryad is so unique, beautiful and private. But there was a glitch at Fes. When we pulled into the parking lot next to Dar Lys ryad after a 5+ hour road trip, we were greeted with a putrid stench. Apparently there was a river near by. After we checked into this otherwise beautiful facility the stench was fainter but unmistakable. We then had the misfortune of facing noisy neighbors and reving motorbikes at night. Early next morning, we were all exhausted and the whole trip experience teetered on the edge of collapse because we needed rest. So I texted Original's Said and he promptly found us a different, modern hotel. No question asked! This is why thou shall not DIY when touring Morocco :-)
Other highlights: desert camel ride arranged and rearranged at the last minute; dinner with a local family at Fes was unique and unforgettable. Thank you, Mohammad and family for your hospitality; our tour guides Sharif in Fes and Hanan in Marrakech were very professional. Our trusty driver Oussama (not Bin Laden he'd add with a smile) loves to say exactly and was always on time and always politely waiting outside. Too many to cover every point, but I would recommend kimkim and Original Travel to friends.

We were treated like royalty. Got upgraded to the penthouse / roof top unit 287 (yeah, only 2-3 floors in a traditional ryad).
